Ah, yes, the key word "seemingly", which is to say that a team of producers and assistants will coordinate the filming.
Much like Kate and her "sudden" planning of a luxury beach vacation when her 100K+ kitchen was being gifted to her.
These amazing mothers! How DO they do it???????

Thank you for realizing that's not me. I don't know who is using my name, but it's happened a couple times lately.

It looks like TLC is airing the new Tyler Perry show "Too Close To Home" starting on August 22nd. I might actually watch that one--it looks interesting. And of course I support TLC airing something other than child-exploiting reality TV crap. Counting On is starting on August 23, and Toddlers and Tiaras (UGH!) on the 24th. So, what are they going to use as a lead-in for K+8 in October? That show can't stand on its own, and if they don't get The Little Couple back by then, they better come up with something fast. Although…wouldn't it be fun to watch what happens if K+8 has to air without a strong lead-in? The ratings plummet would be hilarious! Let's see if TLC can pull something off. Don't be surprised if the show gets postponed yet again.

Someone at TLC needs to be fired for thinking that photo should be released to advertise K+8. Whomever chose this photo just reinforced the very real notion that Colin is an unhappy, failing-to-adjust boy who is an outcast.
Look at him! He's standing at a distance from everyone, looking down, eyes closed. It's sad.
Frankly, the photo of Kate giving her daughter the sideways stink eye was awful, too.

So they had to wait to say anything UNTIL TLC made the announcement, but Kate can just blab on twitter about them coming back in October?

I had actually said when Kate mentioned October that I don't think she was supposed to say that. It felt like just a general ballpark they gave her, especially since she had no specific date. I think overall she's actually pretty good about keeping things quiet but I think it's been so long since an air date even she couldn't help herself and broke the rules. There was something about the way she said it that felt very insider, and unsanctioned. She blabbed, and she wasn't supposed to.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - Returning to court four years after the child sex-assault trial that put him in prison, Jerry Sandusky on Friday decried the flawed defense put on by his lawyers and asked a state judge to grant him a new trial.

Spitting into the microphone, the former Pennsylvania State University assistant football coach became most animated discussing his accusers - or, as he described them, "what they call victims" - and other witnesses who had testified against him.

"I wasn't a pedophile," he said. "I wasn't a preferential sex predator. I wasn't the monster I was made out to be."

Okay, Jerry, old buddy, whatever you say. Dottie obviously agrees with you.

I was also very relieved to hear this. It was so unfair how they played on Brendan's innocence and challenges to coerce a confession. I don't know why they 'needed' him to make a case against his uncle, anyway. I don't know of course, but it seemd they had plenty of evidence that was not shown in the documentary.

Sorry Milo but that isn't leash training. With leash training you teach the puppy to walk nicely on the leash not to pull you willy nilly down the driveway while chasing after a ball. In fact, if the puppy starts to pull like that you're supposed to correct him and tell him to "walk nicely" (or whatever command you use). Why not just throw the ball and let the puppy chase it and bring it back to you?

From TMZ:

Keshia Knight Pulliam says her estranged husband, Ed Hartwell, is so abusive, so violent, so diabolical ... he has plotted to kill their unborn child.

Keshia claims in divorce docs Ed "has been plotting to harm and obstruct [her] pregnancy" by engaging in "certain underhanded and unusual conduct" that would trigger a miscarriage.

Keshia, who is 5 months along, is not specific as to Ed's conduct, but she says he's engaged in "cruel treatment" which has adversely affected her pregnancy.

Keshia says in legal docs ... during their short marriage, Ed was constantly cursing, yelling and demeaning her. She says he also had affairs with multiple women, including a former baby mama.

And Keshia says she and Ed have multiple firearms ... she feels unsafe and wants an order forcing him to turn all the guns over to her. She's also asking the judge to order him to stay clear of her.

She wants the judge to order a mental evaluation.

http://www.tmz.com/2016/08/14/keshia-knight-pulliam-ed-hartwell-divorce-baby-miscarriage/

If I were her, I would pack what I needed and go into hiding and have the baby. Rent a different car, disguises. And I would offer him a contract saying that if he would give up his parental rights, that she would not ask for any support, ever for the baby. She has plenty of money.

I am so afraid for her!

Agree, Layla. When one of the coaches went into the locker/shower room he heard the slapping. This to me is very chilling. Because you think at first, what is that? And then that scared heat rises up and then you think, oh no!

He then went over to the shower and saw him raping a young boy!

And didn't even call 911! He went and told his father, and then he told someone and yada, yada, yada, someone told Joe and nothing was done for years.

Too bad Dottie can't be charged for being an accomplice. She knew this was going on down in the basement. She could of been a hero years ago but, she cared more about his legacy of being a great football coach and the money.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I don't blame McQueary. No one was calling 911 in 2002. It disturbed him and he knew something must be done, and he went to the older generation because he thought he could trust their guidance and wisdom for how to handle it. That's what we want young people to do before making rash decisions. We always tell young people feel free to tell your boss about things, consult those with more experience. We don't explain what happens when your boss can't handle it. Unfortunately the powers that be let him down. He has cooperated fully with the investigation and has been absolved of any responsibility. I feel bad for him. He should have been the hero for seeing something and saying something. He had an attractive option in forgetting everything he saw, that he didn't take.

Well, I trust and have a good relationship with my boss and father both are several decades older than me, so yeah, I can see people involving them in the conversation. It's not like seeing a child being raped is an every day thing. The pearl clutching "I would have done better" self righteous attitude is not credible. You don't know what you would do until in that moment. Of course, we have a better understanding now and are in a climate where it's more acceptable to speak out. That was not always the case. If he did something wrong they can file charges. They chose not to. This reminds me of What Would You Do. In that moment no one really knows. Hindsight is 20-20 and I bet he wishes with all his heart he had called the police (who by the way already knew in 2002 and hadn't done anything)

I'm not talking about the phalanx of cameras the swimmers have to pass on their way to the pool, or the enormous scrum that surrounds each medalist and their families in the stands. I'm talking about cameras behind the scenes where the swimmers are just chilling out, being calm and still, or jittery, trying to catch anything and everything. There is no refuge from cameras!
Yeah, Michael Phelp's "I eat turds like you" face at his homicidal stalker-like junior nemesis was pretty funny, but it strikes me in Rio that I've never seen so many camera-harnessed men breaking their necks to catch every grimace, smile, grunt and belch of an up close moment.

That's true, and that's the origins of whistleblower laws recognizing that very fact. I think having some understanding about workplace culture and how it has the potential for these sort of things being difficult is important. PA has been working very hard to create better environments and cultures where this will never happen again. This has been an opportunity to do better and learn form mistakes. Certainly those responsible can and have been held accountable, but I don't find it particularly helpful to finger wave over people lower on the chain expecting something of them that few, if anyone, was realistically capable of in that moment given the context. I think one of the best examples of this is the janitor who knew about it and was very upset, and told multiple people--but I suppose didn't do all he could. It never really made it up the chain. No one blames him or talks about him as being responsible. I think most people don't know about that, or if they do, understand his situation. I don't see why the same kind of understanding is not afforded in other situations.

As for this heat wave!!! We've been TRYING to walk around Philly and it just sucks the life out of you! It's not pleasant to try to just "walk around" which is normally so enjoyable in a city like this.

For miles? I seriously doubt that. So they are all planning to do the SWAT team thing at the compound and rescue 35 hairless, sock-less, nekkid women? I'd pay to see that.

Sounds like a pretty large group of cops to go "rescue" someone who willingly went with Hershel. Then again, if they told the cops she was kidnapped, he took her across the state line and that's an FBI matter. I'd think the cops would first off, determine whether the woman went willingly or was kidnapped before sending out miles of cop cars. LOL

I do like the part about Hershel's 35th wife waking up after being drugged and finding herself naked on a swim raft with an open bible covering her whooha.

I guess Gladys wasn't fooled by the photo ops in the unreasonably clean dog bed, or the birthday party with the homemade cake, or the gushing lovey-dovey comments about Shokie. Maybe Gladys saw what many of you saw on the show -- that the dog was generally not around his pack. And when he and TFW were together, there didn't seem to be much ease and comfort between them.

No, it is cut and dry. When you witness a child being raped, you call 911. Period. End of story.

&&&&

The police were actually quite well informed of this man's actions and for quite some time, did nothing. Then what? What do you do when people's very institutions fail them?

It actually isn't cut and dry, or we wouldn't need whistle blower laws. We need to have some understanding of human psychology here and workplace culture and how it can affect one's ability to make sound decisions in that moment. Obviously what McQueary saw was deeply upsetting to him. Obviously he knew it was wrong. There's no question about that. At what point in the chain was the link broken is the question. It's cut and dry to the pearl clutching self-righteous who think they know exactly how they would have behaved in those shoes in that moment, but in reality don't know the first thing about how it would have gone down for them, and can't.

I bet if you had asked McQueary before all this happened IF he saw someone being raped, what would he do, he would have said, Well, call 911 of course! There are endless stories of good people being involved by chance in something bad, and in the heat of the moment, making poor choices about how to react to it. This is more than just a one-off situation. This is a part of the human condition. Which is why education is so very important.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Just because something doesn't meet the legal standard for culpability does not mean it can't be morally wrong. It blows my mind that someone who claims to be a child advocate doesn't see an issue with not reporting child rape. And to apply the guy for not perjuring himself by claiming not to remember is just the icing on the cake.

&&&&

Do *not* twist my words. Of COURSE it's an issue about not reporting child rape. OF COURSE all child rape should be reported! Don't you dare claim I have no issue with that. What I'm saying is that this is much more complex then you make it out to be, and that workplace culture and institutionalism was at the heart of what went wrong here, not one person's very understandable decision to involve their father and trusted coach in an upsetting and uncommon situation. This was exactly the conclusion of the Freeh report.

Your answer is too simple for the long term protection of children. Clearly, simply telling people to call 911 when something bad happens was not enough in this situation. Seems to me everyone involved must have understood 911 is available in an emergency. They're smart people. The question is why was it handled so poorly. The changes that need to happen must be much more aggressive than posting "Call 911 if you see child rape" signs around workplaces. Let's get real. The changes the Freeh report recommended and that are being implemented are institutional changes, because the Freeh report understands that is the heart of the matter.

As far as him not remembering, I made no such comment about that one way or the other. I don't know if he was lying, or honestly couldn't remember. But, it is possible. It's actually quite common to block out something so traumatic, and if it IS true he doesn't remember, it speaks to how upsetting it truly was to him. If he didn't care, he shouldn't have any problem recalling it.

Very typical. A pedo coach will become so trusted and even vaunted and revered by the family (like many priests), that a parent would never, ever imagine that they are dangerous.
Meanwhile, the child is being groomed and/or threatened so that they say nothing to the parents.

If it was one person doing all of them she'd probably be able to keep the story going and keep all the individual voices of the women straight.

There was something very fascinating happening here, and very cunning. Not only was Sandusky grooming his victims, he was grooming the institution. Oh, he was actively, intentionally grooming everyone around him who might ever find him out. Once he set himself up as an upstanding member of the community who had dedicated his life to the well-being of foster children, not to mention a football icon, he created a situation where to shoot an arrow at him would not only be hard to reconcile, but if you ever did, you started to believe all that would do is jeopardize yourself and the very university. You don't throw a stone at the angels of campus and expect it to be easy. Nobody wanted to collapse everything that had been built over the past 25 years. This is very different than walking down the street one day, seeing a child being raped, and grabbing your cell right away to call 911. That's easy.

I still want to know how that prosecutor ended up dead.

Well thank you for defending me Flimsy, but the comment is mine. I'm not picking at GollyGee I'm just curious about why she thinks it's gross. Although my puppy eats dry kibble I do supplement with Fruitables pumpkin super blend a couple of times a week and even with daily hand washing the bowls are not as clean as they could be. I do like the super clean of the dishwasher especially because he's currently using a plastic slow feeder (he's a gulper).

So when is Junebug's funeral/memorial service? I'd like to send my condolences and flowers since I can't be there in person. If she was blown up, I guess they won't be having an open casket. Is tj still blind? Is Patty still blabbering and pounding her chest like a gorilla? Did anyone wake up naked on a raft this morning? Has Hershel taken his 36th wife? Inquisitive minds want to know (well, not really).

I'm curious to see what their next story line will be.

I'm watching Dr Drew, and they are discussing a case where a mother locked her 3 kids (ages 6, 3, and newborn) in the car while she ran some errands. The baby was fussy, and the 6-year-old beat the baby to death. When the mother returned, the boy said there was something seriously wrong with the baby, but the mother ignored him and went to run another errand. The mother was the star of a TLC show called "I'm 55 and Pregnant". She was pregnant with the 6-year-old when the show was filmed.

Dr Drew and his panel are discussing the effect of reality TV--did the mother even want children at that age, or did she just want to a show? Gee, a mother having children to get a TV show. Where have we seen that before?

I don't know how true it is, or if it's an old wives' tale, but my vet always said that dogs' saliva is cleaner than that of humans! Could be that's why, if they are injured or have scratches, they lick the wound and it heals without an antibiotic!

According to the Church Women, Darlene is watching movies in her new tower apartment that belonged to June, whose body is now up in Columbus. June is not yet buried, but old Dar has taken over her place. Fast move. Forget the grieving period. I wonder if she can tear herself away from her new tower apartment to go to the funeral. How will they explain it when June resurrects herself? Jesus raising Lazarus?

And TJ is still blind as mice, according to Barbie. The next story line should be fun.

They showed the mother being arraigned, so it looks like she is definitely facing some kind of charges. She showed no regard for the children's well-being, she knowingly put them in danger, and she set up the situation that resulted in the baby's death. I hope she is held accountable for what happened.

This is a very strange, horrible story. The 'Mom' is 62 years old. Her husband died of cancer in 2011 & she was inseminated with his frozen sperm to conceive the 3 year old & the newborn. She & the husband were on a reality tv show when she was pregnant with the 6 year old -"I'm Pregnant and 55 Years Old." Just awful.

Just think. The doctor that inseminated this deranged woman with the 6 year old and then the newborn should face disiplinary action with the state medical board. He needs his medical license revoked. This dr. has to live with helping create 2 children with a mentally deranged 55 and then 62 year old woman that made her children suffer severe abuse with her own hands on the 6 year old and now the death of the newborn.

You know she didn't have the money to pay for the procedures, the shows budget did. Blood money.

The whole Nobu thing came out of the Vanity Fair interview:

The Unreal Rise of Jon and Kate Gosselin

"Nobu, Nobu, I want Nobu!” Kate Gosselin wants to go to Nobu. She’s got a night away from her eight kids—also her co-stars on the hit reality series Jon & Kate Plus Eight—and a reporter is offering to take her out on the town. “I want sushi!” Kate says, leaning back in an armchair in her suite at the Essex House hotel overlooking Central Park, checking her BlackBerry, popping gum.
