And how can skhate say phonegate happened the night before she was fired??
It was during the task that she was not present DUE TO HER BEING FIRED. What is.she insinuating?

&&&&

I immediately noticed that in her sour grapes post. There is no doubt in my mind that the incident DID happen when she said it did.

So now, in addition to being a poor sport, she is also a narc who snitched on the show splicing things together out of order. Way below board and absolutely no reason to tattle tale about that.

There is also no doubt in my mind she intended that to be a subtle slam at Trump for manipulating things like the order of events, because she holds grudges like that and will throw out whatever she can to discredit anyone who crosses her. The amazing thing is in her narcissistic mind she really and truly thought she would win. It's incredible.

You don't see that from most of the worst contestants. I don't think Shawn actually thought for one second she would win. Neither did Sig. Neither did Lorenzo. Most people who can't compete with the likes of Leeza or Geraldo have a BIT of humbleness to them. The Doofus? None.

I thought that when she said the phone mess happened before she was fired she meant that the phone went missing the night before. Then the message was discovered and the fight escalated into the boardroom the next day when she was fired. I'm so confused!

When Kenya was willing to swear that she didn't ''steal'' the phone, my thought was that she could swear she didn't ''steal'' it, she only took it to send the message and then got rid of it. It seemed to me that she convinced herself that since she didn't keep it for herself that she didn't really ''steal'' it. Am I confused again?

She is so ungrateful it really is mind numbing. Can't believe it, but she is a bigger narcissist than Trump. I think he took it easy on her but I wish he had not because she was a waste of air on his show.

Oh and on the room swap show, the hands were flapping. Gawd, those hands with the French tip nails were all I noticed. Back to old habits after CA was filmed. And she's a 39 year old so stop with the "like" when talking on the couch. Real big pet peeve of mine. It makes her sound unintelligent, not young and hip.

Are you sure about that admin? Vivica was frantically looking for her phone when it was just her, Geraldo and kenya on team Vortex. Kate was fired, gone. To me it looked like she had just just noticed it was missing.
I do believe the splice and dice, but I don't think the phone was missing when skhate was there. And the bells went off for Vivica that kenya had taken the phone when she quoted the tweet verbatim.

Also, when Kenya's doing her talking head scene and smirks and says "little do they know I have something up my sleeve" I HIGHLY doubt she would actually hint or insinuate she was going to do something "illegal" (eyeroll) THAT clip I believe was spliced to look like it was a threat to do "something"....the phone theft and tweet.

One person not loving it is Kate Gosselin who was fired last week in the midst of Kenya and Vivica’s nonsense. #Kenyanigans!

“There’s a million ‘Kenyas’ in the world, and not to always speak from a mom’s perspective, but girls at school that are mean, I tell my girls, ‘You’re going to meet people your whole life and have to work with them. You have to find a way to work with them,'” Kate advised. “And I had to take a dose of my own medicine, really.”

Couldn't agree more. While the contestants on CA may be stressed out themselves, I don't think that should stress out viewers. It's all in good fun, it's over the top, like a circus act.

But time and time again Kate Plus 8 makes viewers' blood pressures go up. I suppose because it's not just a bunch of consenting adults playing a game, this is watching some severe familial dysfunction and kids suffering for it. I think if that stresses you it just means you care that a child should not have to grow up in that sort of environment.

AuntieAnn said...

Kate's firing was uneventful. The Donald hardly had a thing to say to her besides telling her she couldn't manage Vivica and Kenya. Then it was buh bye, see ya, you're fired and *poof* she was dismissed. Of course she wasn't expecting it. She had a strategy like the one she had on DWTS which was if I say I'm gonna win that will make it happen. That's always her game plan.

She brought nothing to the table in the few weeks she was there. She couldn't open her mouth and be her usual bitchy self because she was sitting in a room with the big girls and she knew if she dared go nose to nose with any of them they'd have ripped her eight new assholes. She's a bully when she's among the weak and a milksopping pantywaist when the rubber actually meets the road.

Haven't posted here in a while.

My daughters and I came across KP8 while channel browsing late last night. Curiosity got the best of me. In short, I truly enjoyed watching and hearing Khate get her due!

Remarks made by the kids about memories of getting in trouble in their bedroom, yelling, fighting, twins annoyed by tups, and the icing on the cake was the pumpkin target contest. The kids looked confused, forced, and miserable. The dinner table scene revealed several kids are moving out as soon as they are able!

Same here...I can figure out TFW and TFM, but when posters use the initials of a person or thing (and some do quite frequently) I have to think about to whom they are referring, such as JSP, JR, DT, KM etc. This is really a problem when I'm hitting the rumspringa.

Of course, we all know KIAT as the blog historian!

In TFW's defense (who knew I would ever defend her) I think she meant stop objecting to her being fired from CA, stop fussing about it, let it go. Move on to something positive, her show, which is on Tues eve.

&&&

I have to say people here give her the benefit of the doubt more than the sheeple give us credit for.

I too, as I read the tweet halfway, gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought she innocently just meant move on.

And then I read the second part of the tweet where not only does she say her own show is more fun, but did you see the subtle knock at the authenticity of CA? She said her show was REAL. Implying CA was not. Wtf?

This is twice now she has slammed the Apprentice for not being what it seems, one when she claimed the phone incident didn't happen when it looked like it happened, and now with the "real" comment. She is a bitter old hag.

Putting the first part of her tweet in context with the second, her attempt to do damage control on this one doesn't even strike me as remotely credible. I don't care if she truly meant just "move on", the second part of her tweet was ALSO a slam on the show and can't be explained away like the first could. She's quite ungrateful of such an opportunity, isn't she.

I read this a few times, and in trying to give her the benefit of the doubt when I got inside her head (yes, there still is plenty of room in there), I wonder if she was saying "tons more fun" not referring to CA at all, but in reference to her own show, as in we had fun the past few episodes, and now there is even more fun yet to come. In other words, there will be tons more fun (in anticipation of the next show) than what you've seen in the past.

However the REAL comment...there's just no other explanation other than that her show is real as opposes to CA, which is not.

Does that make sense?

You won't believe what happens? WTF is that supposed to mean?
The only thing that may happen that I wouldn't believe is that the kids tell the crew to go away and leave them alone and they all walk off the set.

I wonder if they're going to show the kid getting hurt in Skyzone and Kate rushing to his rescue.

Since they'll be showing Shoka's birthday and the twins' birthday, you want to bet that Kate will also mention that her birthday will be coming up and how she can't believe she's going to be the big 4-0.

Although they are talking about the tension/feud between Brandi and Kenya, Leeza eludes to an "unprecedented" upcoming event. Are they referring to the stolen cell phone? If so, it happened more than a week
before the airing of TFW being fired.

Winsome regarding your comments about charities, I couldn't say how many charities are scams, I bet some are. But what I think even more are, are just vanity projects. Just a way for the celeb to boost their resumes with their own charity without actually pulling in anything significant. Of course there are MANY celebs who have very helpful charities. But not all.

Nonprofits are all public record and can easily be looked up. I once looked up my celeb's charity out of curiosity, since I really didn't see a whole lot of helping others going on but I did see a whole lot of fancy parties as an excuse to invite OTHER bigger celebs over and brush shoulders and get the press to turn up. I was not surprised to find that they raised zero dollars that year, zero the year before, and zero the year before.

Was it funneling money or doing anything illegal, no I don't think so, no way. Was it a shameless, frankly disgusting vanity project for a photo op and promote other RELATED businesses? Absolutely. I'm not aware of any law that says the legit charity you set up has to raise a dime. It's not illegal, but IMO it's not morally right either.

The first thing I thought when whispers (planted stories) of Kate starting a charity is that charity is the couponing site, and the couponing site was the new blog, and the blog was the new K+8.

This is Kate's new scheme to reinvent herself and do more media and speaking events, for which she will, of course, command a fee plus rider/demands.
Inventing a charity is a great way to rub elbows with other celebs and deep pockets, and like you said, it would take major malfeasance to something illegal to be investigated.

I remember that crazy-ass couple (the White House party crashers) on Real Housewives of DC (one-season wonder) who had a bogus charity and polo invitational.

____________

That was from nerves,an anxiety issue that happens when adrenalin interrupts the blood flow to certain areas. It has nothing to do with lying. It can be quite severe, ranging from just a light rash to full-blown hives. It was not shingles.

I remember that there was a student in one of my public speaking classes, and every time it was his turn to speak, he would break out exactly like that, only worse than Kate ever did. This poor kid would get blotchy whenever he was talking to a cute female in whom he was interested! It was like a bad case of sunburn. I sometimes wondered if he found his soul mate, married, and if those attacks subsided!

I didn't watch the show. Did she say that she went to a physician for a diagnosis? It's not at all uncommon to get shingles on the face. It's totally possible that she had a very mild case. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Of course she HAD TO INSERT "stress" into a description because that is all she talks about. I don't know whether she had shingles or not, but she did not have to say anything about it being stressed related. That is definitely HER diagnosis. That's right, blame the kids for your "illness".

I am looking forward to the new Harper Lee book as well. On the news this evening nobody hinted at Ms. Lee being taken advantage of. She said she did not publish it because To Kill A Mocking Bird was such a powerful book and best seller that she thought from there she could only go down. I find it fascinating that the sequel was written before To Kill A Mocking Bird. This woman is now 88 years old. I hope it gets published and I will purchase it and place it next to the other book. I purchase books I want to keep and borrow from the library or Kindle the ones I just want to read.

But, of course she wouldn't tell her lickspittles to not feel bad or angry, it was a great experience and opportunity that she is grateful for, and to please watch the rest of the season and enjoy.

___________

That is exactly what she should have said. This is what continues to baffle me. Why can't she say that? What is it in her brain that doesn't allow her to formulate responses that are polite and take the high road? She can't choose her words...just a succinct tweet as you said, and she wouldn't open herself up to criticism. Can't a narcissist do this, even if their sentiments are nothing more to total bulls$$t to him/her? Can't they fake it?

Tucker's Mom said...

I didn't watch the show. Did she say that she went to a physician for a diagnosis? It's not at all uncommon to get shingles on the face. It's totally possible that she had a very mild case. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that one.
******
I don't think Kate mentioned going to a doctor or medication, which, again, why?
If you have shingles, you go see your doctor and if you're early enough, you might get a greatly reduced outbreak with meds.

Last year, I thought I might have shingles. I went to my doc immediately.
Turns out, my face was reacting to topical skin products that were too harsh for me.

Thinking ahead is certainly not her forte.

______________

Trivia and off topic.

Did you know that the correct (17th century) original pronunciation of forte is FORT, not for-tay? An English professor friend of mine corrected me some time ago. I looked it up, and sure enough he was right, as he always is (of course, I'd never tell him that)!

Pronunciation
In the sense of a person's strong suit ( He draws well, but sculpture is his real forte), the older and historical pronunciation of forte is the one-syllable [fawrt] (Show IPA) or [fohrt] pronounced as the English word fort. The word is derived from the French word fort, meaning “strong.”

I don't know, though, that I'd pronounce it as fawrt.

Speaking of charities, and why/how they are created, here's an example from my personal experience.

An acquaintance in an MBA program at a well known university received an assignment to create a charity with a team of classmates. The team used a suggestion from my acquaintance's family member for the basic idea and then did the research necessary to create the basic plan of how it would all work in real life.

After that the acquaintance and several family members used the plan, did all the necessary 501C3 paperwork, put in the necessary seed money, created the charity's website, and began operations. The family members are each listed on the website as members of the board of directors. The fact that the original research was done as an MBA project is documented and team members given credit on the website also.

In this case, the charity receives very little money from anyone other than the family members and, per my acquaintance, they like it that way because it's mainly a way to do something for family bonding time. The family members run things on their own dime from their own homes.

Beside the family bonding, the only things the family members seem to get out of it is public recognition being on the Board of Directors of a charity, and tax deductions for their contributions to their own organization. At one time I was told there was a struggle to maintain the 501C3 designation because of it being so family-centric. Last I looked the charity still has a web presence and is still providing limited aid to its intended recipients.

If creating a charity is a class project for many MBA programs, no wonder there is such a proliferation of them. Running a large charity can definitely require paid employees and there are many people who have a career in that line of work.

I don't think TFW has what it takes to create and run a real charity that primarily benefits anyone other than herself.

Her whiney, self important voice, attitude and body language reminds me too much of the narcissists that I have run away from in my life and I wonder why the hell I want to revisit that in the form of ?entertainment.
I agree the kids will be dealing with the negative affects of their childhood, but most of us do, some better than others. She will end up like my ex., tolerated by his children, isolated by others and very alone. If you have the patience to wait for the inevitable outcome it can be a sad vindication for all the miserable crap that has come before.
Sorry to be so verbal but it felt like the time to let it out. I have been helped by the other ladies on the veranda who have shared life stories, it makes me feel less alone when the memories are strong.
So thanks, and if you can watch and tell me here, I will not try again.

She didn't say a word about seeing a doctor. I think she self-diagnosed / possibly exaggerated for the sake of drama/sympathy. She dabbed a little Calamine Lotion on a few spots to make sure viewers would notice it and she was good to go. I tend to think of her 'stress disease' along the same lines as I do her broken 'foot'.

Shingles is NOT something to be messed with. Doctor told me 'need to decrease your stress and rest.' ---> yeah okay. NOT! @TLC

So if, as she says, the doctor told her to reduce her stress, she came up with the bright idea to call it a "stress disease".

I've had shingles, and it took me a good month to recover, and that was even after I started an antiviral one day after the rash first started. I think it was even more painful than when I fractured a rib, because the pain was constant, no matter what position you were in.

I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

What's really amusing about this tweet is that she is sending it to Milo, who lives in the Deep South, has never met Kate, but yet professes to know more about what Kate does than the locals who actually live here. It must be that special way of communicating the two do with one another. Perhaps Kate shared her IRS return with Milo, who perused it and found the PRIVATE charitable contributions listed therein.

Wasn't that interview recent? If so, the phone incident happened last year, when it was filmed. So, of course, they would know what was coming up, because it happened almost a year ago.

Midnight Madness--that was exactly what I thought (about more fun comment). Her communication skills are absolutely terrible, so, who knows maybe she did mean that it was more fun than CA.

Couldn't believe she said:

At the American Girl bday party for Mady and Cara, she said, it should of been her birthday it was so perfect. She is so jealous of her children. She has got to have deep deep issues from her childhood.

The poster, calendar or that paper thing that she picked up off the table and said she had paid a lot of money for and had sent off to England for and there it was on the table for sale.

How extremely awkward and CONVICTED she looked when she talked to the nice nurse lady that used to work with kate. She was squirming, putting her hand in her pocket, looking off to the side. She said she was busy. I think it really hit her how guilty she felt about living a 5 star life and how sweet that lady was. When my ex comes around, he can barely look at me in the face.

She said something about the kids having their walls decorated? But they are bare. Also the boys beds, the striped bedspreads, the railings on the bed frames.

SHAWSHANK!

They didn't have hardly anything done when kate and the kids left and WHALA! The next morning, tables all set up, clothes lines full of clothes. I wonder what happened to the left overs.

When kate was wanting to keep the witch and Mady told her to give her the witch, and kate wasn't going to and kept on about it, the young woman said, Can you tell me how much I owe you? Like, tell me the amount, let me pay you so I can get the jello out of here!!!

Kate was eliminated from Celebrity Apprentice on Monday, January 26, 2015. The link below was posted on January16th, 10 days before she was shown the door.
------------------------------------------
Episode showing Kate's elimination was aired on Jan 26, but was filmed back in March/April 2014. So of course Leeza knew about it on Jan 16, 2015. It would be surprising, however, and show something funny was going on, if Leeza alluded to it in the episode shown Jan 16. Assuming Celebity Apprentice episodes are aired in the same order they're filmed, that is. That's a rational assumption, but things are pretty strange in Trump-land.

I think in the Celebrity Apprentice universe, the triple firing of the whole team was unprecedented and shocking. Much more so than the phone incident.

To Kill A Mockingbird is also my very favorite book. However, wouldn't IT be the prequel? Harper Lee wrote the first book with Scout an adult, and was encouraged to write about Scout as a child. The book with Scout as a child was TKAM, and when it was released, she never released the first book...the one that is now being released.

during the photo shoot, besides "I wasted a week of my life on this", Kate shared "I'm always dramatic" "I'm exhausted". Clearly no one is shocked by the latter, she has been exhaustedish for 14 years now, but "I'm always dramatic"? Her persona on CA was sadder than turning 40 is not knowing who the hell you are. I guess she can be dramatic with her kids, but not so much with peers.

Tonight's show was more of the same, not as bad as last week. The young girls are emotinal wrecks, basement cleaning was the usual verbal abuse, birthday cake for a dog who clearly is never allowed in the house, party with friends for the twins, photo shoot and garage sale. She claimed to spend lot of money shipping a Christmas gift from England for Cara, who was now selling it. The donated a little more than $1000, so she clearly kept lots of cash. Looked like everyone was handing her at least a $20 (where's Math Girl when I need her!) that would be less than 50 people purchasing, and there was a large line of people there.
They are already out of story ideas - next week is Kate with verbal diarrhea, and flashbacks yet again. What truly scares me for our society is how many women and girls think she is an awesome mom. She wasn't horrific in tonight's episode, but she clearly is unstable, narsassistic, with delusions of her greatness and of her kids' helplessness and her unwillingness to parent them.

All I could think about was being 13, not feeling great ,and her come adults, strangers hired to film, here they come with their large cameras and lights into my bedroom!
So I think it odd Kate barks at the tups to get out, but its okay for the production crew and all of America to see inside her teenage daughter's bedroom!
That is not nurturing.

I surely don't understand Geraldo sayingeTFW handles everything with grace, single handedly.

There was nothing on CA from her that was handled with grace. She ate like a pig, back stabbed everyone, was lazy, contributed no ideas, no cash, tried to alienate the younger women from the rest of their team, agreed with anything anyone said, even if they were on the other team. She clearly has no mind of her own.

And there was NOTHING handled with grace in last week's episode. How could anyone watch that episode and come up with word grace for ANY of it? She was shrewish, mean, ugly, hideous to the kids. There wasn't a kind word in the whole episode. How could he use the word grace to describe anything that he saw?

Tonight's episode wasn't as bad, but exceedingly boring. Mostly couch interviews of her and tne kids. And I still wouldn't use the word grace to describe anything I saw tonight.

I wonder what Geraldo is smoking. Or was he taken in with the smoke screen of her flirting with him? Or maybe she paid him to tweet that.

I just don't understand how he can watch these episodes and come up with the word grace. Maybe because she clammed up at the end of her time on CA and wasn't a screaming banshee like several of the other women?

"I'm always dramatic." But. . . but . . . didn't she say on CA that she doesn't get into the drama? How can she always be dramatic and not get into the drama? Yet another contradiction, straight from the lips of TFMJG!

"How they can see themselves on TV and continue to act like this is beyond me." -- The kids act like this, and don't see anything wrong with it, because this is the example they are given by their mother. It's their "normal". They haven't been taught that there are other ways to behave. I feel sorry for them when they get out into the real world. Can you imagine what dorm life will be like for them, if they are allowed to go away to college and live on campus? They'll be eaten alive.

I greatly appreciate that others are willing to describe what happens, even though it is really terrible to hear that several of the kids are out of control.

I actually did see one good idea from Kate on Celebrity Apprentice. When Sig was having his "meltdown" about the bartenders being late, Kate said they should use a bag to move the glasses (and she actually produced one!) to save multiple trips. I know it's not a very creative idea, but it is practical, and something Sig apparently hadn't thought of. If I recall correctly, it also helped get him out of "meltdown mode".

It is typical of Kate (and me, I'm afraid) to tackle a small part of the "trigger" rather than acknowledge the underlying problem: the bartenders were late, preparations were behind schedule, Sig was stressed, and apparently all the other team members were oblivious until he blew up.

__________
Kate said tonight specifically about her twins that they are normal. She thinks Mady's behavior is just typical teen behavior and sees nothing wrong with it. And that is why her bad behavior will continue and continue. The same with the tup girls. They are never discipled for anything. Kate keeps saying she just keeps out of their fighting. They had a hugh screaming fit over wrapping their dog's present. Hell, they scream and fight over anything and everything. Thank goodness the boys are a lot better.

And Kate does not see anything wrong with their behavior because she acts just like them. Kate has a bad tone in her voice, yells, flaps her hands around, hit them as kids, hit Jon, and complains all the time. Their mother's example taught her five daughters to be just like her.

Does Kate ever read all the negative comments on facebook about Mady? You would think that she would and that would open her eyes up. And Mady's friends' parents must cringe when they see Mady act like that on TV. They probably tell their kids not to take after Mady and that her behavior is not acceptable.

I read the article above and Kate said that she is not allowed to talk about whether Jon pays any support. Yet she continually states everywhere and anywhere that she is the sole provider of her kids. That is so typical, shady Kate behavior. Well, Kate, if you state you are the sole provider than you are stating that Jon does not pay support. She is a little, tricky devil.

Clearly everyone in that family needs counseling. There is no reason AT ALL for the hitting and fighting. These kids are plenty old enough to know what correct behavior is...they see it at school. Obviously they don't scream and hit their classmates (although 2 did when they were younger), so they know how to behave.

I really feel empathy for Kate. She had a horrible childhood and just hasn't had the resources to process it and break the cycle with the way she parents.

Catching up here, but...Kate tweeted that the phone thing on CA was illegal, huh? Well, according to her followers, she needs to either report it to the police or shut up about it. They order the non-fans to do that all the time, so it's only fair.

I don't watch, but I'm intrigued by so many of the kids wanting to move out as soon as possible. At age 10? It's not surprising for older teens to want to move out and be independent, but at 10 years old, they shouldn't be thinking about moving out of their parents' home. It must be a terrible home environment for them to even think that way when they are so young. Poor kids.

This is Kate's new scheme to reinvent herself and do more media and speaking events, for which she will, of course, command a fee plus rider/demands.

________________

But the really pathetic thing is that no matter how many times she tries to reinvent herself, or put forth a brand new Kate personality, she still hasn't found herself. If she doesn't even know who she is, how in the world do the sheeple (Milo, in particular) know who she is?
---------------------------

I agree, she comes up with new ideas but is not able to follow through with the actual work involved. On her show, it is clear that TLC staff and crew do most of the work, yet she always acts like she does it all.
LOL! Didn't watch last night and will not for remainder of episodes, because this family is on a downward spiral (IMO- In my opinion).

The twins have 4 more years, and will definitely leave the nest at 18, especially Cara.

Don't know how Milo thinks she knows what TFW (The Former Wife) is thinking but my guess is that it is a combo of DM's and/or TFW (see above) having access to Milo's twitter account, as needed.

Regardless, sounds like show was boring, more acting out, Kate is the hero, blah, blah, blah.... By the way, her tweet about CA (Celebrity Apprentice) was clearly a slam on the show- but... Watch ME" on Kate +8 - I'm the only real realist reality show. LOL And a sad one at that.
"We can never go back," - Goodbye Jon(who no longer wants to film) , and this show has gone way down hill, and as a mother does not have a clue when to stop filming kids.

.I read that she made a little over $1,000 for the Rescue Mission, but that there were 300 + people there. Not adding up. Didn't she say they would donate a portion of the donations to the Rescue Mission and later all proceeds. Doesn't add up.

I do think that TFW has had some trauma in her life (probably childhood).

Look at how she responded when Sig started his tantrum. She instantaneously swooped in to smooth things over.

She didn't even think about it for a nanosecond...you could see that it was a visceral response. It was crucial to her that she settle him down. Every single neuron of her being was screaming, "Shut it down!!!!"

It said a lot about something she's been through...who knows who or what, but somebody has caused her trauma.

The sad part is that she now has the money to get therapy for that. It's just sad that she continues the cycle of abuse for her own children.

At the time that whatever was happening, that was on the other person(s).

But at some point, the ball is hers. It's on her now. Is she going to be sitting in the rocking chair when she's 88 saying, but I have an excuse, whoever caused me all kinds of trauma?

No. At some point she owns it. The ball is hers now. It's up to her what she chooses to do with the ball.
It's up to her to get the therapy she needs to be able to move past it.
If she wants to hang on to the ball and never get better, that's on her.

And how she treats her children? That's on her. No excuses.

I think Paige trying to get TFW's attention last night may have
also been some hard feelings about Emily's appearance on
the show.

That jealousy may also be why Gladys was positively desperate
to sound like an "insider" last night. Emily achieved Gladys' version
of nirvana -- a Twitter relationship turned into a real one. So by admonishing people with "you don't know," Gladys' subtext is,
"but I DO know." Which, of course, she doesn't. Then her
theory about Cara telling TFW something about the Patriots
and TFW misunderstanding it was pulled out of thin air. And
I think calling TFW "sweet pea" is an unnervingly intimate
name for someone you've never met.

I didn't see the show and I'm so glad I didn't. She is nauseating. WTF regarding Joel and the book stacking? What a miserable CRUEL bitch. It must be terrifying and maddening to live in a house where you can be punished for doing something that you had no idea was wrong. Or not even wrong, just not what your psychotic mother wants. Are they supposed to be clairvoyant? Maybe TLC is airing this shit on purpose as a FU to Kate. Please someone intervene. Hers is the worst kind of emotional abuse.

One of Mady's revealing comments during the episode:
"I'm not acting like this because I'm a teenager. I'm acting like this because you either did something unfair or the little kids are just really annoying."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mady is fully aware of her own behaviour. She has Kate over a barrel.
Her little sisters are learning fast, too.
**************************************************
Also she is acting exactly like her mother. Blaming others for her behavior.
"I wouldn't do this if you didn't...." fill in the blank
justifies her treatment of others
*****
Manipulative and potentially abusive.
Wow, did Mady really say that??

smdh that Kate is doing the polar opposite to help them with their behavior.
I highly doubt that the pushing and shoving is contained to their home.
I now have some inkling about what the school was going through.

I thought it was really cute the way the little boy had arranged the books. He had them set up in stacks, with the covers facing out. It was kinda cute, and *so* organized.

When I saw what he'd done, my first response was, oh...isn't that sweet! So cute!

Then TFW sweeps in and starts shouting about how stupid that was. She says to the kid, in a derogatory way...haven't you ever seen how the library does it? (Implied: you idiot!).

And then she very disrespectfully, with great big arm swoops (so he'd know how stupid he was) dumps every last book off of every shelf onto the floor.

I was horrified at how disrespectful she was. Horrified.

My thought was: has TFW ever taken the kid to a real library??

I'm assuming he sees his school library. My grandchildren's school library has the books set up just the way the boy had set them up.

He was probably emulating what he'd seen at school, and then got reamed a new one for being so stupid.

For TFW's information that is *exactly* how my county and city libraries do it.
Covers facing out, with stacks of books behind them. They have many rows done the traditional way, but the first 20 rows or so are done with covers out.

That was condescending, mean, humiliating, arrogant, demeaning, degrading, shaming.
The whole point was to shame the boy. And she did a fabulous job.

I will call myself "flowers can grow in muck" for this post.

I have several siblings. We grew up in home of unpredictability, chaos and unkindness. My mother did not like having children and we were reminded (frequently) that we were her cross to bear.

My father was unable or unwilling to protect us from mom's cruelty. He just faded into another "child" who needed to be controlled.

We responded to my mother with quietness and obedience. Outsiders commented frequently on what "well-behaved children" we were. We were just cowed and submissive. We were not able to choose the path of resistance that the G kids have chosen. We were too scared of the unbalanced consequences.

We all left home as soon as we were able. Those of us who went to college paid their own way with minimum wage jobs. Only one of us mis-stepped into drugs for awhile.

We were adults before we started to "grow up". We were like shriveled plants that finally got some water. We had to learn how to make decisions with lame critical thinking skills. We managed somehow. We supported each other -- sometimes even living together for practical reasons.

I don't watch Kate's show anymore. It literally makes me sick to my stomach. I read here and it helps me to understand some of the dynamics from my past.

Her children will struggle, all because of her treatment. You do not escape without damage.

Happy ending -- all of us married kind partners. (A few missteps, but recovery.) We all love our children and raised them with respect. We found other adults to follow and allowed them to mentor us. With the grace of God, we made it to a healthy place.

I am very proud of all my siblings.

I think we always treated our elderly parents with respect. Hopefully. My mother never apologized. She was stubbornly always right until the end. I didn't mourn her passing.

I have always thought the reason many of us gravitated to this blog is because it is a place we can work out past issues. Kate is the trigger for unpleasant memories.

Well, that is almost too much analysis for an average Wednesday. Thanks for reading.

I wonder if all that stres that caused her shingles outbreak had something to do with how she would be preceived in these new series they were filming. She knows she wasnt gonna look like a supermom on tv, she knows kids are going to act up. She's constantly telling the "film people" how they promised to cooperate, they promised not to do this", She knows she has her hands full, people dont like her, but she desperately wants to be a "teevee-stahr". All that eyerolling and whoa-me attitude, all that "its the pack against me" attitude......she's acting her butt of to be liked in her "realer then life" show but its not working...and she cannot act!

Mady's behavior doesn't bother me nearly as much as all the yelling, screaming & hitting of the younger girls. Actually, my absolute favorite part of the episode, with the exception of when I turned it off, was Mady putting an old pink wig on her head & doing a "come & get yer popcorn" imitation. She is a smart kid (smarter than Kate IMO) with a big personality. I think one day, when she grows into that personality, she will be a force for Kate to reckon with.

More than anything else I could say, I am so very disturbed by Mady's emotional state. This is far from typical behavior. She needs treatment.

IIRC, from the moving bedrooms episode, Mady complained about people (crew) being in her bedroom, and Kate said "She promised she wouldn't do this.". 141

What? Bribes and threats aren't cutting it anymore?

This is what happens when you have your kids over a barrel to film, treat the girls much better than the boys, and have lost total control of your children. My mom was a widowed mother of six at 40 and would have never considered putting any of us through filming for her own sake. Rather we all pulled together, supported ALL siblings, out of respect, older ones got jobs part-time, and did all of this out of respect for my wonderful mom.

This woman can not stop filming her kids, as she has some huge narcisstic/greed issues which are clearly not serving her children well. She has made a ton of money, but it is never enough to fit her ego. Jon wanted to stop filming and she got rid of him, and to this day, has nothing but negative things to say about him. Maybe the boys feel differently but HER feelings come first, and the kids are afraid to defy her. A really good mother would be encouraging all of her kids to visit with him, but that CLEARLY is not going on. All about her, and she is destroying her kids in the process. But her ego requires, the show must go on. She refuses to consider the kids first, as individuals, and is now paying the price, but refuses to acknowledge the dysfunction, as the show must go on. Who does this knowing how this is affecting her kids? We all know she has made a fortune off these kids, but she wants the $$$$$$$$$ and that is all that matters. I think the kids know this by know, and have lost total respect for her as they see her as she is- greedy and selfish.

Good points....perhaps that's why next week's episode is just Kate and flashbacks (sounds horrendous). Is it possible the kids could not be coerced into doing any additional filming?

Flowers can grow in muck (#181), thank you for your candid share.
I am always touched an impressed by those of you who open up
about how this all strikes a nerve with you.

There's an old Carly Simon lyric I love: "Sorry that your mother
dropped you on your head -- maybe her mother dropped her,
too." You can use your childhood damage as a "get out of
jail free" card your whole life and leave your own trail of
destruction, or you can get some help and stop the cycle.
TFW has the time and money to address her issues with
a professional. And with 8 children counting on her, she
certainly has the incentive.

Mel said...

TFW says she's honest and respectful. Geraldo says she handles things with grace. TFW says she's not mean girl, drama girl.

From what I saw on CA, she wasn't honest in her opinions and ideas, and was all about mean girl stuff.

She's just mad because she couldn't compete on the drama stuff.

Kenya and Vivica had her beat hands down on the drama, Leeza had her beat by a universe on classy. She couldn't be the young girl because of the Olympians. The only role left for her was the flirt with the men role. Unfortunately, she embraced it.

When they were working on brainstorming for a task, the pm would throw an idea out, TFW would wait to see if the others liked or not.

If they liked it, then she'd nod her head vigorously that she agreed that it was a good idea, and then when it didn't pan out, tell Trump that she thought it was a bad idea, but the others thought it was good, so she just went along.

If the others didn't like it, then she didn't like it either. But rather than voice her opinion honestly, out loud to the pm, she'd sit and make mean girl eyes to the others, behind the pm's back.

I hated how she was always making mean girl eyes behind people's backs. Why not just spit out what she thought? She didn't own anything.
It was pathetic the way she kept making eyes at the younger Trump men, who seemed like they weren't having any of it. She was making eyes at Ivanka also.

And I especially hated how she tried to divide and conquer with the younger women, trying to alienate them from the other women. Here, come and sit by me, the NICE lady. Don't go sit with those meanies. We're not gonna be a team with those mean people. We'll be our own team. Guess that didn't work out so well.

And it was caught on camera for all the world to see. In all fairness though, she was not "shouting about how stupid that was". She asked him a bunch of questions (have you ever seen how books are stacked in a library? How would anyone see the names of the books?) while she was dumping the books back on to the floor. She didn't raise her voice. She probably considered it a "teaching moment". But it was unnecessary & unkind.

No excuses.

-----------------------------
I totally agree. She chose this path for whatever reason, to orchestrate twins and tups through "her methods of engineering multiples" to become famous. No excuses for her.

She has made a total mess of her 8 little blessings in her quest for fame, and only thinks of herself. And all of her kids know this. Thus the resistance from the girls, and sadly the passiveness of the boys.

This is nothing to proud of, and no excuses for her, since she chose this path, and does not have a full time job, but her parenting is simply horrible. I can't even imagine what is edited, but what is shown is that she should not be filming these kids anymore, as any decent parent would do. GET A JOB OUTSIDE of Kate Plus 8. Your show is way too damaging at this point. Can she not see this?

Hope she is ready for the "tell all" books to come from her children, and not that far down the road.

Mel 174 -- Brava! Very well said. I agree that TFMJG has had some sort of trauma in her childhood that she continues to act on. I have a great deal of difficulty finding any sympathy for her, though. She so blatantly doesn't care about causing pain and injury to other people -- be it physical or emotional. She said it herself -- "I don't see other people". Unfortunately, that applies to spouse, children, and other family members as well as random strangers and those who want to be her friends. I'd have a lot more empathy and even some respect if she came out and said "Look, things happened to me when I was younger that affect the way I behave as an adult. I'm aware of it and I'm getting help for it". Unfortunately, I don't think that day will ever come.

So there's only one more episode of this crapfest? I see on Twitter there's already the crying, wailing and gnashing of teeth from the mindless followers over such a travesty.

I expect there will be more mini "seasons". TLC has done it with the Roloffs and I'm sure the contract has already been signed with Kate. TLC has many hours to fill in a one-year span; and, alas, the charming Boo-Boo family is no longer filling some of that.

The total destruction of eight little lives is not yet complete. That, and momma needs more shoes and facial rehabilitation. And trips. Ah, yes, don't forget the "educational" (let's laugh) trips. TLC and Kate are both so pathetic.

angie said...

Yes, Kate should be held accountable for her behavior. BUT, she needs help (and for her sheep, I don't mean 'if you aren't running you aren't helping 'help') She needs professional psychiatric long term help. I am sorry her childhood wasn't what she wanted. Very few people can say theirs was. But you deal with it and try not to continue the cycle. Kate's unable to do this.

For some of these kids to be this unhappy (Mady in particular), it really makes me wonder why 1 or more haven't moved in with Jon. And I find it interesting that the boys seem to be 'normal', despite how their mother treats them. What is going on in that house?!

(and for the life of me, if Steve is having a relationship with her, I certainly don't see the attraction. He has to be somewhat intelligent given the business he is in...how could he be attracted to someone that says 'lobsterish thingies'? For all her 'culture' from her trips, she's still so just flipping stupid it hurts.

I agree, but many of us have had trauma in our lives. TFW and Jon were advertising the tups before they were even born on websites, articles, things they needed, etc...

10 years later, and she is still filming her kids (Jon gone) and grifting non-stop, without any consideration for her kids to have a normal life, which they earned. She has made mega bucks, but it will never be enough for HER, not even for the sake of her kids.

Yep, TFW is one of the most manipulative money hungry, selfish women ever seen on any show. She just doesn't know when to stop.

Look for the book stacking to be swiffered from last nights show in the repeats. Atrocious behaviour. I'd like to deck her sorry ass.

Flowers, Vanessa and I must be your sisters. We lived the exact same crap as the G kids only we didn't have cameras in our faces. In my situation, I'm the only one who acknowledges the dysfunction we lived with. The rest of my siblings are in denial.

To the G kids: If, someday you find this blog, please know that the people here cared for you kids and wanted nothing more than to never have had your lives exposed to us. We want peace and joy and love for all of you but we don't want to witness it. I hope someday that you all have wonderful relationships with each other. Please know that you are children and are not responsible for the things that happened.
