It was obvious Steve's presence made some of the other contestants resentful, prompting at least one to spill the beans. Bonehead move, Kate.
8. That's one botoxed Trojan Horse. Kate's own former employer The Stir calls her out for her bad parenting.
When Kate said she bought the twins iphones so she could take them away, she probably expected the usual accolades and ego stroking. The public's reaction was anything but though. A blogger at Kate's former employer, The Stir, called the stunt a "twisted trick":
"Kids test their parents' limits, and we need to set up boundaries and stick to them. It's GOOD to see Kate disciplining her kids without resorting to violence ('memba the wooden spoon incident?). That said, it seems a little odd to specifically buy something nice for your child with the intention of using it to punish them. For lack of a better word, it seems ... untrustworthy? It sounds like a Trojan Horse of parenting ... here kid, here's a gift, now I can use it to destroy you. Now, to be clear, that doesn't mean you shouldn't put limits on the use of gadgets because they are, after all, a privilege. But we are supposed to buy presents for our kids out of the goodness of our hearts, not with an ulterior motive! That's part of showing love and respect for our kids. And we all know respect is a two-way street."
The Stir really nailed this one. Kate does not respect her kids, from their privacy to their gifts. Yet she wants respect in return. Relationships don't work that way, and this is a major factor in why the kids have turned on her this year.
7. The Grinch who spoiled the children's Christmas. Kate lets the kids open presents early.
Most kids hate waiting for Christmas morning, but too bad, it's every celebrating child's birthright. Kate took the lazy way out this year however and gave in to their spoiled demands, tweeting that she was letting them open at least some of their presents early. In fact, one family gift a day. For good measure, she threw in a couple ignorant remarks about Judaism too. A policy of appeasement doesn't work in international relations and won't work for kids either
6. Not-a-contest. Kate's not-a-random act of kindness contest is one big mess.
Kate announced last December she was holding a random act of kindness contest with the winners to get copies of her book. There was so much about this little stunt that was snarkalicious, from most of the premeditated acts not being true random acts in the first place, to the obvious low turnout of entries, to Kate dragging her feet for over two months to choose the winners. Not to mention how complicated state laws are when it comes to such contests. And, we all wondered, how do you "judge" an act of kindness? Is saving a neglected baby kitten better or worse than giving your sandwich to the homeless?

I guess Kate figured out how to judge them somehow, because finally at the end of February, the "winners" were announced. Incidentally, the announcement was the last time she posted on her blog in 2014. Heh.
5. Reboot: TLC and Kate bring the show back.
You have to hand it to TFW, very few cancelled shows ever get a chance to come back again. But this year was a good one for her. TLC not only aired an update special that they promised way back when, but are also bringing Kate Plus 8 back in 2015. Much of Kate's summer she was MIA from Twitter, filming in Massachusetts and Maine. The fifth worst moment is shared with TLC, for resurrecting something that didn't die fast enough in the first place, and in all the preview clips, making the kids look spoiled and unruly. And what's more, they are exaggerating a small handful of episodes and calling it a "season," which is misleading. They also promised an air date of December, only to see that pushed out to January of next year. Shame on them for all of the above.
4. John Don't. Kate buys the kids a John Deere Gator.
The dumbest gift you can get a kid is an unsafe one. The second dumbest is a gift only meant to help them with choring. Kate's birthday gift to the sextuplets for their big tenth birthday was both. The John Deere Gator was one of her worst gifts yet, and the children were spotted both driving and riding in the back, a big no-no. John Deere warns in their own safety manual their gators should never be operated by children under 16. And Pennsylvania law forbids children from driving the vehicles anywhere but their parents' property without a training certificate. Kate tweeted that Mady drove it on their neighbor's property. More than 100 children in Pennsylvania have died on this or similar vehicles in the past 30 years in Pennsylvania. I would have preferred a Jonas brother.
3. Garage sale karma
There's nothing wrong with a garage sale, except when you're filming it, exploiting your kids, and selling your ex-'s stuff (or other stuff you got for free in the first place). Kate accomplished all three at the early morning sale this fall. Kate donated the proceeds to an animal shelter, but as per her usual, barely promoted that aspect of it. The best karma of all however was when Jon showed up, bought back his own video game (lol!), hung out with the kids for awhile (effectively sheltering many of them from being filmed), and then left with all eight of them.
2. Pitch your tent. Kate insults children with special needs, and their parents.
This one was a very close second to first because it was just that offensive and frankly, cruel. We all wondered what charity Kate would pick for Celebrity Apprentice. Surprisingly, it wasn't the obvious choices of the Red Cross, the March of Dimes, or a children's hospital. Rather it was a lovely little charity she has had no discernible contact with or interest in since May 2012, Camp Barnabas, a camp for children with special needs. We couldn't find a shred of evidence Kate has ever even been to this camp, let alone supported it for more than one night at a publicity event. When asked to speak about her charity, the only thing Kate could come up with to highlight is that this camp gives parents a nice break from their burdens. For good measure, she also said that special needs kids won't go to college and will have to be parented forever. That's simply not true, Kate. It was such a demoralizing blow to families who are working so hard toward productive and independent adult lives for their children. Get educated, Kate. Your unbelievable ignorance is both unforgivable and hurtful.

1. Mommie Dearest: The twins
choke on the Today show.
In 2014, the
worst moment of the year happened only two weeks into January and hasn't been one-upped since. In an obvious
effort to build and revamp the Gosselin brand for the teen years, Kate paraded
the twins on a small media tour in NYC. First stop was the Today show, only it didn't quite go as
Kate planned. Watch it here.
Cara wouldn't speak, Mady clamped up a lot too, and when asked about Jon, Mady refused to throw him under the bus. Jon's response was heartbreaking: "I just feel horrible for my twins. You would only know as a parent. I wish I could've rescued them."
On the bright side, the outrage from other entertainment and
social media was pretty universal, with Kate put on blast from the likes of
Access Hollywood and Extra, along with numerous outraged drivebys on Twitter. It has even made at least one "year end" list of most outlandish moments of 2014, over at Gawker. It
was a defining moment in which the general public finally saw the damage the exploitation has done. That same damage we've been warning about for almost ten years now.
And finally our annual Best Moment of the year. This year we're handing out just one award, although we're giving out a number of honorable mentions. One to Candace Cameron and Lori Loughlin who, for the first time we've ever heard, talked publicly about some of the negative aspects of growing up on T.V. Lots of child stars have spoken out and it's great when they do. This time was especially important though, because the sentiment from Full House is mostly positive from everyone but the very youngest cast members, and almost everyone on the show continues to be successful. It's important to note that even good, positive film sets that produce well-adjusted adults can still cause damage to child stars in the long run. Another honorable mention goes to Beth Carson for finally breaking her silence and confirming our speculations, and for calling Kate out for the greedy liar that she is. The only response Kate could come up with to Beth's bombshell interview was a pathetic little "no." Oh, but yes, Kate. And finally a honorable mention goes to Rep. Tom Murt, who is still not satisfied with child labor laws and is vowing to do even more, including mandatory background checks for all of production and an independent advocate on set. He even has Jon aboard now, too.
The Best Moment award this year goes to the ladies of The Talk. Daytime T.V. for women can sometimes be a mind-numbing black hole of idiocy.
These women have proven this year that daytime T.V. doesn't have to be that. Women are just as smart and capable as men of producing good T.V., and The Talk did a lot last year to prove just that. What they have to say about current events is intelligent, logical, and worth listening to. The View and their squawking chickens this show is not. As for Kate putting her children back on T.V. this year, they had this to say:
Sara Gilbert: "Any time you're putting kids on T.V.--I was a kid on T.V. and I wanted to be there--but if you're putting eight kids on T.V. from the time they are tiny you don't know which ones want to be there and which ones don't. ... I chose it. They didn't get a chance to choose it."
Sharon Osborne: "It's our industry. We know what we're going to get, you know what you're not going to get. So therefore, it's a whole different thing."
So congrats Marie, Sara (both former child stars), Sharon (mother to former child stars), Aisha, and Julie.

Do you get CNBC? They replay the Celebrity Apprentice episodes there, I think a day or too later. Could be in the middle of the night but you can DVR it. Have they swiffered CNBC too?
I think you'll also be able to find them on the NBC web site a day or two later. If they want you to sign in with a provider I'm sure one of us could lend you an account.

I actually believe in Kate's mind, she has never been called lazy. I think she completely plugs her ears and sings "la-la-la" anytime anyone tries to criticize her. Then it's off to death row for that person. So in reality she's been called lazy countless times, it's just Kate has never allowed herself to hear such criticism.
I can't imagine living life refusing to ever sharpen yourself, to improve, to grow, to listen to those who love you. She loves who she is and does not want to change, does not even want to think about suggestions of change, even when it comes from close family and friends. She is catfishing herself: I'm never lazy, I'm a hard worker, I'm an attentive great mom, my ex is a nightmare, every day is a struggle. It's a giant catfish of herself. I've never seen something like this.

I have never watched CA because Trump makes me want to puke. I'll be watching the season premiere of Downton Abbey.
The only episode of CA I'll be interested in is when she gets canned, I think it will be the golf task. Can't wait for the fake tears. She has done next to nothing to promote the show other than a few retweets. She is in few promos too. She was outgunned by the other ladies and perhaps Steve is brought up on camera with grumbling by other contestants. My guess Discovery is responsible for those two having some dinner business meetings, nothing romantic, although she would love to snag a millionaire. Probably not thrilled he has three children. Less for her. Either she or TLC used Prescott, IMO, to deflect.
Admin - it is a regional thing which they're "working to resolve". I've got a Hulu account so I'll probably be able to watch there otherwise I'll watch it on the NBC website. I might even be able to download from iTunes. It will just piss me off if I can't watch "live". I'd download the NBC app to my iPad but haven't upgraded to iOS 7 yet. Does anyone have iOS 7 and are you having any problems with it?

Hope the dispute gets settled NJGal51. I have a feeling it will. NFL football is huge on NBC on Sundays and they have to be right now in talks to get it settled as soon as possible. Because you know they don't want to run reruns of Matlock. lol
We had that happen here with CBS. The local affiliate was going to be taken off on a certain day if they didn't get it settled. When it wasn't getting settled, and a certain huge college football game was in jeopardy of not being shown locally and regionally on that channel, I believe, IMHO, they started getting DT's. I hope they didn't because that is not right, but all of a sudden, the situation was settled.

I have a feeling that all of our predictions about how TFW will behave and be treated will be spot-on. Just re-read the Eonline article re Jeff Prescott. The article states:

First, if you google Deaf Children's Foundation, nothing shows that there is such an organization. Nature's Youth sells "health" supplements as does Octagon Sports Nutrition.
Also, on the BBB website for Nature's Youth the CEO's name is listed as Jeffrey Jones, not Prescott. His name is also listed as Jones on this website:

I don't know about other Discovery owned channels, but on the Velocity Channel they have been running ads for K+8 every hour. This is a channel devoted to car related topics and appeals mostly to middle aged men. It seems very out of place to have an advertisement for the exhaustedish mom of 8 in the middle of ads for car related shows and items. I don't see a whole lot of crossover between the two.
Discovery is really promoting it heavily, even more so than the summer specials. If it fails it won't be Discovery's fault, it will be because the topic has gotten old and stale.
Somebody's gotta mastermind the whole thing. The rest of you are too stupid to mastermind, so she'll just burden herself with that task.

Meaning Kate specifically was crazy and lazy.

I agree, this man should not be roasted or sent emails by haters, as these are completely 2 different functions. He may have done some work for TLC or CA and they met a few times, at best.
I agree all of this "dating" info is merely to distance TFW with TFM. TLC has some TFW shows coming up and may want to sanitize the K/S rumors. Would not be the first time. Well, that was a surprise, seeing my name in 'lights'!!
Remona Blue has been spending a wonderful time with her children, grand children and great-grand children! Mixed in with celebrating Christmas have been birthdays right before and right after Christmas and a special birthday on New Year's Day! That child wasn't the first one born in Fort Worth that year, but was MY first, and that was special for me!
I've been spending a LOT of time lurking and catching up on all the comments I missed when I was not around. Happy New Year everyone!

I really wish the kids had a good time with Jon but that account is obviously false. They could not have gone skiing, snowboarding, or sledding. It was almost 60 degrees here on Christmas Day. We've had a lot of days of rain, including Christmas Eve. The last snow was Thanksgiving Eve. The Poconos resorts can't even make and keep snow. Anything closer to Berks has no hope. "The sledding hill" would have been grass and possibly mud.

The comment was put through as an oversight. This person, well I think it's the same person anyway, has been trying to get through several positive comments about Jon. I ran one of them past Jon (not this one), and he said it wasn't true. It is the first time I have contacted him in awhile, and I"m not going to run this one by him too. He deserves to spend his holidays with the kids in peace without nagging from us because someone is up to no good.
One of the sick things they are trying to do is say that the kids are doing terribly with Kate and well with Jon. It's an obvious attempt to get everyone to say see Kate is evil and Jon is good, then laugh if we fall for it. Such silliness. Jon doesn't deserve to be bothered with it.

I sometimes do the same thing. I am working on correcting that because it can be destructive. For me, it goes back to my childhood. I was bullied on a daily basis for three years. I was told to just laugh and joke back. It was suppose to make them get tired of bullying me. It did not work. My parents finally had me transferred to a different school.

What struck me about it in skimming it was how much her life was about God. So much is about prayer and she even "shares" bible verses. Who is she sharing this to in a private journal?
It's fine to go through stages of life where religion is more important or less important to you, in fact that's probably normal, but I just find the whole religious schtick fake to begin with. I think she did it either consciously or subconsciously because of the built in church network and freebies. Once that well ran dry and they were onto her, God was out the door along with Beth, Jodi, Jon and others.

Go to the Celebrity Apprentice 2015 site and they have videos of the upcoming episodes, one where TFW claims she has never been called "lazy" in her life. LOL
As far as TFW's alleged new boyfriend (CEO, etc..), I don't think there is any merit to this, and believe this is simply a ploy to divert from the TFM rumors. Whether it was CA, TLC or TFW herself, will never know. A strange diversion by a couple of websites, which very few believe. And honestly could not care less if she is dating this man, although I doubt it.
I have always enjoyed CA and will probably watch, (kids not included) although TFW has clearly traveled into a situation where her peers will tear her a new one, which has never been done (on DWTS or CWS), although she clearly deserved it in both cases. CA is a competitive show where your peers judge you based on your performance, so TFW as a major epic fail is no surprise. I think she overestimated herself and likeability/work ethic (LOL) - she manages "potty" and "snack" breaks. Really? Your kids are 10 and 13- she will never learn. She would be better off saying how much the kids have progressed, rather than centering things around her kids needing her. Still infantizing them to make herself look like mom of the year while embarrassing her kids, once again.
Will not be watching Kate Plus 8 new episodes, as the previews are so unappealing, so will look forward to recaps if anyone has time to post about the episodes.

Not only Brandi, but ALL the other contestants have been tweeting about CA. I've even read various interviews that they have done with different media outlets. Not only Brandi and Kenya-who seem to be getting the most press. But Geraldo, Sig, Jamie, Shawn, Lorenzo, Ian, Gilbert, Kevin, Johnny, Vivica , Keisha, Leeza, and Terrell, have all had interviews published with either sports media, news media or other media. Just google their names and you'll find them.

Like everything else, she expects others to do her work whether it be promoting, cleaning, driving, dancing, travel arrangements, navigating airports, packing for trips so on so forth......... She just wants to work at counting her money.
Even though she didn't win DWTS or CA she is happy to receive any of the pay checks she did get. If she had to do it for free and only received money IF she won, she would never have done it or would have had a huge fit.

I'm glancing through the Pastebin journal (assuming it's Kate's authentic) and Kate was all about the Lord providing and she really believed that she was just listening to God when she began using her kids for money and fame.
The Lord seemed to constantly be invoked directly in proportion to Kate's wanting something either now, or later- never just praise for the sake of praise.
It's abundantly clear that Kate was grabbing every single opportunity that came her way. I don't know what it would have to have involved for her to turn it down.

Emily did meet Kate at the Connecticut run, and the kids sat on her lap and they all become one instant happy family. I'm not sure if Emily babysat for the kids at their house during the summer, but anything is possible. Kate promised Emily that when Emily has kids, she will be their godmother,and I'm sure that Emily is not going to let her forget that. It's the whole girl crush, celebrity worship thing. Emily appears to have quite a few of them going right now. Her MammaG got hammered and there is nothing she can do about it. Oh, the inhumanity.

Did you see the part where one of the girls was BEGGING for more food and Kate refused her until finally giving her a bowl of soup which the poor child gobbled down? All of it, the whole bowl.
Ugh. She appears to have no idea how much a child needs to eat, no matter what their age and height/weight. This is just one of many examples of the kids hunger or thirst and asking for food.

I don't think that after the lawsuit and all the legal bills he accrued, that Robert would put Kate's journal on Pastebin, especially after she copyrighted it. On April 1, 2013, Robert posted the following on his blog:
"The entire text of the book KATE GOSSELIN: HOW SHE FOOLED THE WORLD, including all supporting documents, digital files and photo libraries for verification, is now available for viewing by any legitimate news-gathering organization interested in this story."
So who knows who got copies of that journal and then posted it to pastebin anonymously, especially now with her being in the spotlight again. Again, I don't think it would be something Robert would do.
Hmm, I just realized he posted that on his blog on April 1, 2013 and Kate's copyrighted her journals on April 16, 2013. Coincidence?? Think not.
I only skimmed the journal. She never actually liked her children. She liked when they helped her. She had no knowledge that babies and toddlers act like babies and toddlers. You have to parent them not just spank them. One trip to the store she spanked Mady multiple times with the spoon that thank goodness she had just put in the van. Poor kids. The story about the kids pulling over the dresser struck me because they hadn't attached the dresser to the wall like a parent should. Instead it's the kids' fault. And the time a kid had a head injury that needed stitches but she was too tired to get care. There is no motherly love.

Kate probably has disclosed her diary to numerous people in the course of filing her lawsuit. They would have to see the real thing in order to best help her. Plus I doubt she's embarrassed by it or sees anything wrong with it. To her it would be like see this just proves my point I was just a tired overworked mom and now poor put upon me is being crucified for it. She wouldn't get it or hesitate to show the diary.
I think it's entirely possible someone in that circle turned on her. Perhaps she pissed them off somehow. I won't speculate who. We can draw our own conclusions about that.
No wonder she's tired! She lives ever day twice! Seriously who goes into that much detail about their day in a journal every day?

Speaking of the fans and what they get from their support of her, it's pathetic that all of these young kids are tweeting her with excitement that Kate is back, new season is starting, can't wait for the new episodes, their lives are now complete, crying tears of utter joy, etc., but she absolutely will not give them the courtesy of a tweet telling them that the show was not renewed, it's not a new season, but some specials. That's how much she cares about them...just let them get all hyped about it and then let down when they realize it's all over in a blink of an eye.

Yes it's true she initially asked for a cookie, I don't care about that part and didn't see it as relevant. However once Kate suggested soup, she begged for SOUP, thus showing this was about far more than just an extra cookie and really about HUNGER, Kate continued to put her off until she was "done" with whatever bullshit she was doing in the dining rom. That's the part that bothered me, not a kid asking for a silly cookie. Again, it should have been obvious to Kate (and you) this was more than a child asking for a cookie just to be a little shit. She probably just asked for a cookie because that's the food she had just eaten and that was in her mind.
She finally snapped out of it and promoted it, less than 24 hours before. And "watch me" that's GREAT.
Contrast this with Brandi's tweets, where she not only mentions watching the show itself but takes the time to include the accounts of Donald and other cast members who will be on.
I saw on the NBC website that The Voice returns on Monday, Feb. 23. So the live finale of CA must be on Feb.16, with the final task shown on Feb. 9.
It seems that only one person is let go on the premiere, and with 7 episodes(including the premiere) before the live finale, there must be another show where only one person is let go in order to get to the final 2.
