Saw on HLN that the baby pictures of the baby that needs a heart transplant that Facebook took down, put them back up after the outrage. FB donated 10K in credits for boosting their "ad", 5K to the parents of the baby boy and 5k to other causes. They have so far raised 114K.
Here's the kicker. The next story was about Paris Hilton buying a purebred little dog for 14K. I would rather have a sweet mutt buddy for life from a shelter for a minimal fee than have to have a rider on my homeowners on the dog I had just bought.

Yes, I remember seeing that and thinking about the Twitter sheep. How would they feel if THEY were the ones who made a gift like that, only to have it thrown into the trash? Of course, the sheeple would say that this never happened. The video was staged and the whole thing was fake, set up by Robert who wanted to trash Kate for not appreciating a fan who took the time to drive to her house and leave a gift. But what sticks out are the comments from people who obviously don't know anything about the history of this saga. The women invariably say, "she's got kids to raise, leave her alone" or "why aren't we supporting her as a woman?", like we should all be on the same team because of our lady parts. Cafe Mom was a good example of this, as was ROL.
Most people who learn of the complete history have absolutely no use for her. But women who don't seem to automatically side with her.

Obviously the undying devotion the sheeple have displayed toward Kate is extreme. However the "she has eight kids" or the refusal for Kate's child abuse to be accepted mainstream or the constant other excuses for her behavior is a prime example of how common this double standard is. If you don't believe it take a gander at any comment section on a Kate article and you will find all kinds of comments like this, as others have suggested. I know we don't like to believe women could be like this, but it's true.

In response: I too gave benefit to kate and I too saw how "off" she was. I myself have the feeling of how is this woman not being held accountable for these actions? Seriously if she was my sister-in law ( someone I was around a lot ) I would be seriously concerned for their well being. One child or eight, I would be very concerned. Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I disagree. Why does this board exist? Why has it been very active for literally years? Isn't it because we posters (99.9% women) saw another woman doing something really bad -- in fact many somethings really bad, and wanted to speak out about it?
I can only speak for myself, but I am very critical if I see a woman in public with a child, and I think she's not doing her mothering job appropriately. I'm talking about a woman who has a child clearly very tired, whining, maybe crying, yet she continues to take her time perusing make up in Target. In my mind, I'm thinking, "stop with the vanity and take your tired child home for a nap lady!'
If I saw a woman slapping a child, or otherwise getting physical, I would feel compelled to approach and try to gently intervene. Gently - - because I want her to stop and think about what she's doing. Gently-- because I don't want her to grab the kid and run out of the store and maybe beat him worse. Not because I think she deserves to be treated gently.
I abhor anyone who hurts a child, man or woman. I do not cut someone slack based on their gender.
But, to a different angle on the subject - I do have great empathy for my fellow women. Let's say a woman has been battered for years by her partner, and one day she finally up and kills him. Yes, I have empathy for her, I see the mitigating circumstances, I feel pity for her. I would say she needs to face charges, but the punishment should not be as severe as if she killed someone for profit, or callously for no reason at all.
Ultimately, I don't think we can make blanket statements about what most women might or might not do, or feel, or think. We are simply too individual to be able to apply any definition across the board.
Anonymous 22, I had the SAME thoughts watching the show in the beginning. How was she not being held accountable? Years later, not only has she not been held accountable, she has been continuously rewarded for her horrible behavior and it turned her into an even worse monster, in my opinion. Now she EXPECTS to be treated like a princess, despite her behavior, and also because of it. It's sad, for both her and the kids. Her mantra of 'everyone leaves me' is on her and nobody else, but she will never see it, partly because of the way she's been pandered to all these years as the put-upon mother of many and wronged wife of a cheater. Ugh, it pained me to type that.

Robert's mother was the blessed one to get the gift that the young Amish girl left for ate. He said they are sitting on his mother's piano. The paps there were very nice and gracious to her. They were trying to help her place them so they wouldn't get broken when the gate swung in.

This video is by a reporter for ROL and kate as usual made it all about her when Shannon Doherty left when her partner was injured. Shannon didn't want to dance with anyone else, she showed class and loyalty! ST is having to stand there and squirm during the interview.

Well that's because she refuses to put any effort into whatever project she takes on. She thinks everything should be dipped in gold and served to her. She started off on DWTS saying oh yeah I'm going to win it, as if dancing is a walk in the park. She also thought writing a cookbook was as simple as plugging in an easy-bake oven. I doubt if she investigated the process one has to go through to put out a cookbook like testing the dish, figuring out the nutritional values, etc. Nope just copy down a bunch of recipes and paste pretty pictures into it like a scrapbook.
She tried hosting Skating with the Stars and that lasted about ten minutes because she had no idea how to handle a microphone, leave alone interview anyone. The same thing happened with ET. Then she lands a job at Coupon Cabin thinking that would be a breeze. We know how that ended.
The list of opportunities she's had would have made her not only a good income but given her some practice at polishing her act, whatever that may be. But since she won't shut up and learn something from others she fails. She just refuses to let anyone tell her what to do because it might mean she has to WORK toward achieving her goal. WORK is a four-letter word to her. Just because she won the lottery with TLC doesn't mean it's like that in the real world.
She's in for a real shocker when she finds out what kind of work she's going to have keeping eight teenagers in line. All I can say is lolololololol. If she thinks it's tough now, just wait. She'll end up curled into a little ball in some psych ward.

Kate has no interest in church IMO. Church and faith require you to acknowledge there is something greater than you in this world. I think she used to go out of habit. She had always gone to church because it was expected and it was probably easier to go than to fight with her dad. (I have no idea if Jon was a believer or not or if he is today.) Kate knew all the right words/phrases to use to get people to help her. Now that word has spread and no one will pay her $25000 to appear, she has dropped her religious side.
I suppose it is possible she still believes in God and considers herself a Christian. I don't know but I doubt it. How can a narcissist practice humility?

That's what is so pathetic about the whole Milo thing. She's so far into Celebrity Worship that she doesn't realize that Kate doesn't need her to support her. In the Milo situation, I don't think this is about the kids. I'm not even so sure it's all about Kate. Yes, Milo appears to be deeply in love with her, but I really don't believe that's what it is all about. It's more than that.
I think that Milo was brought up in a home of male dominance. LOM, if there is one, is the boss. On Twitter, Milo can assume the role that her "hubs" has in her family. It's the only place where she can rule, so to speak, and this tweet clearly shows that she not only enjoys playing the martyr, but nobody is going to change her mind, and she's not giving in to anyone. She's not able to do this at home, but on Twitter she can be as obnoxious, belligerent and annoying as she wants without suffering any consequences.

The discussion of Milo brings to mind a Netflix documentary called "Talhotblond". It shows how dangerous the internet can be when there are people who pretend to be other people and are convincing liars. In fact, one of the cast of characters reminds me of Kate. If you get a chance to watch, you'll understand. As far as Milo, something is off and I think we sense it. In regards to Kate, she is a mental case and we know it.
Every show has a shelf life. The only explanations for Kate getting a few specials is that TLC refuses to budge from their formula and/or was part of her contract. She has been adamant in remaining relevant these past years because she needed to prove to TLC that people are interested in her. Unfortunately, Robert's book gave her exactly what she wanted as far as publicity despite how bad she looked. She simply doesn't care what people think because she thinks she is better and smarter than everyone else.
The only 'new' thing in the latest special would be the New England trip.But we've seen them on trips: arguing, Kate's lack of knowledge, her being bored or annoyed by others, who sits beside whom. They have done the back-to-school- thing a few times, starting with M and C in Kindergarten. And the school routine/eggs for breakfast was also just shown in the birthday special.Chores were covered in CWS and Katie Couric. What else is there in the kids' life? Did they film a fake Thanksgiving? Maybe someone got braces? Going to a lacrosse or soccer game? Kate goes on a date?
Maybe FAQ? Can't wait! (snark)

Meredith Vierira was on Watch What Happens Live last night and a caller asked which person was her “most interesting and then her most boring…someone you wished you never talked too”. Meredith didn’t want to name the most boring but without skipping a beat Andy jumped right in to help her and said, “Kate Gosselin”. Meredith said no, Kate wasn’t “boring” and then Andy made a comment but I could not make out what he said when Meredith gave her response. Andy doesn’t hide his disdain for Kate.

Yes! That is usually one of my favorite segments of each season. I love how he wears a glittery shirt, with a deadpan face. That is a great example of how a smart person can take an embarrassing moment and turn it into comedy gold. Smart man!

This statement is spot on Millicent. Why on earth are adults protected against such abuse but not children? It makes no sense.
And beating your child with a branch is NOT discipline. It's abusive, out of control behaviour and has no place in good parenting.
Just as Kate's "spankings" had no place in toilet training. It's a poor excuse for a parent that needs to resort to terrorizing their children.
There's a huge difference between fear and respect and it's sad to see that still so many people can't differentiate between the two when it comes to parenting.
Beating a child only serves to have them fear you and learn to mistrust, that's not respect. The only way to teach a child to respect their parents is to raise them respectfully.
I just don't understand why it's so hard. And I speak as someone who was abused, keenly aware that my parents were earning nothing but my disdain with their out of control behaviour.

I remember when a Sept - May, then summer re-runs. Then a season became 13 episodes, now, who knows? Especially with these reality competition shows. There are times, I honestly believe, it goes like this: Season Premier Oct 6! All new episode Oct 13! Season Finale Oct 20! Special Halloween episode Oct 27! Series Finale November 3!

Maybe the judges liked the hand/eye coordination that it took to clap hit the cup/flip the cup, etc. She did have a nice voice though. Also I read an article which said she did really well in the prelim interviews. After she won she said in an interview "“The reason why I chose to do that talent is I wanted every single little girl in America to be able to see that you can do that talent — you can do whatever talent you want on national television — even with a red cup — and still be Miss America and have the time of your life,” Kazantsev said in an interview. “I literally in that minute and 30 seconds had the most fun I’ve ever had, and that’s because I stayed true to myself and I did what I wanted to do for my talent, no matter what everybody else told me, and it paid off. I did watch it, mostly because I was involved in the pageant for quite a few years and it still holds some interest for me. All in all, I thought the show was good, particularly the preliminary telecast. They did a lot of work producing that show. I'm not sure how it's going to give Atlantic City an economic boost, but they did try to show that it's family resort town. We'll see what happens to the city in the coming year or so.

DWTS first aired in 2005 with six contestants. Seasons aren't years. There are two shows per year and each one is a season. At least I think that''s how it works!

Besides singing (beautiful voice), hand-eye coordination she was keeping a beat, keeping impeccable time. With a plastic cup. Not just banging a cup. Simplistic? Yes. Talent? Oh my, yes. People are talking as if she got up there and rubbed her tummy while patting her head. An extended family member who is a drummer - Full ride to the Boston Berkley School of music based on his drumming audition and everything - was quite impressed.
Yes, I have seen it done before, "Pitch Perfect" being just on example.
But - Yay Ohio. Heck of a ventriloquist act and I usually don't like ventriloquist "dummies". They creep me out. So do clowns. I get a kick out of Jeff Dunham, though.

Blowing in the Wind is correct, there are usually two editions of DWTS per year, one in spring and one in fall. First year it was on in USA, only in the fall I think, so yes nineteen ” seasons”. The British edition is Simply Come Dancing. Len is judge on that too, I think adding Julianne will enable him to take some weeks off

If they are filming, I don't give a shit about how busy Kate is, I care about how busy this is making the kids.
I hope that tweet means she is signing the younger kids up for activities! But filming them do the actual activity would not be cool!
If you're so incredibly busy why in the world would you think it's appropriate to add a filming schedule to the mix. Most child actors don't go to school when they work. They drop out and are tutored or go to a special "Hollywood" school where everyone is in the business or doing dance or whatever and the schedules are flexible. The Gosselin situation is nothing like that.
I find it shocking that Jon can't stop Kate from filming the kids when they're in school.
It just seems to me that any judge, or anyone, would find the filming intrusive and damaging to their school efforts.

Watching DWTS. Did Julianne borrow Kate's good bra? :) Her cup runneth over. Geez.
Even if we see TFW signing the kids up for a variety of activities
on the special, that doesn't mean she'll actually follow up with them.
We can watch her super-duper hectic schedule of dropping her kids
off hither, thither, and yon, and convince the free world that she's
the bestest, busiest mommy ever. But we all know she's bone lazy, and if any of this interferes with her comfort and convenience in any

My guess is that TFW has 5 specials just like LPBW. Yawn. If she is signing the tups up for activities at least it will get them off the conpound for a while.

Tucker's Mom - so you can appreciate my pain when he of the no rhythm and no sense of timing, let alone inability to read music, decided to take up the bugle. I once told him I cry when I hear "Taps". He said he doesn't recall me crying when he plays it. Oh, believe me I do cry, just not for the same reason.
My 5 yr old grandson who has lung damage can blow the bugle AND blow actual notes tells PaPa " please, please don't" whenever DH picks up one of our TWO bugles.

Standing alone, there really wasn't anything wrong with it, other than that it was mediocre. I think what people have a problem with is that there were so many talented contestants who clearly have worked for years perfecting their skills -- vocalists, dancers, the pianist, the opera singer, that Miss New York's talent, if you call it that, just didn't hold a candle to the talent of the other contestants. At least this seems to be the opinion among so many who are commenting on various sites. It was something a middle schooler who, in the absence of a real talent, would come up with simply because she didn't have anything else that she could do.
Many contestants through the years who found themselves in this situation would perform a dramatic reading. It seemed to be their only option when faced with the dilemma of what to do in the talent competition. Of course there was the one who packed a suitcase, and another who threw around multi-colored scarves.
For the GWTW fans my best friend is a direct descendant of Clark Gable's. Her maiden name even was Gable.

Well, either the kids are doing activities, or they are getting ready to film a haunted house for Halloween, early, or are going to put up those movable Halloween characters that move. Since Kate has been quiet, K8 have been filming.
Don't be too surprised that TLC will try to change Kate's image. Try to make her move normal/mundane/average/mediocre struggling mom of teens & pre-teens, doing it all herself. That is what I think TLC is go towards. They tried it on the last special. It won't work, TLC is too late.

TLC seems to be in "thinning down the orange juice" mode. I have no idea what their budget is at the moment or whether they are in crisis or worried they could be in crisis with some of their biggest stars fading, like Honey Boo Boo.
In any case, just judging by the Little People "season" so far, in my opinion NOT enough to properly define it as a season, you can tell it's been thinned out. They're stretching on Jeremy's engagement and wedding through the whole time and in most of the interviews people are wearing the same clothes. I.e. one interview day for the whole shebang. Also Amy and Matt are prattling on and on about their not-a-divorce, which is such old news by now it seems kind of silly to manufacture drama out of something that has actually worked well for them for a long time now.
In other words it has the feel of they sent a crew in to film for a week and are stretching it out into 5 episodes when normally it would only be one or two episodes. You can even tell the editing is stretched, with a whole lot of unnecessary chatter and footage. That kind of thing wouldn't be found back in the show's prime. I'd be curious to be a fly on the wall when TLC is making these decisions, and whether my suspicions that correct they are a bit desperate ring true. They know a Little People or Gosselin special will probably pull in at least a couple million. Perhaps that is a better bet than some of the other programming they've tested.

I noticed the same thing. Most (all?) of the female pro dancers have natural-looking breasts. I believe Julianne did too when she was dancing. No "tits on a stick" for those women!
I held off on this comment so it wouldn't be a "spoiler". The west coast is now a good hour into the DWTS, and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to notice Julianne's enhancement. Maybe they regret getting rid of Brooke?

Not that again. I get tired of that debate. Generally the talk here is pretty minimal and doesn't give much away, anyway. Except for a few times, and the person was properly chastised. :-)

My opinion is that if it means that much to you, stay off social media, don't listen to the radio, don't watch any tv until you've seen your show, and you should be pretty safe about not having your show spoiled. Easy peasy.
I feel bad for the sextuplets if they're allowed to join some activities solely for filming purposes. Y'all know that TFW won't be continuing any of that nonsense. How disappointing for the kids to not be able to continue something they started.
It must also be a little weird to come into the activity late, after the other kids have been in it for at least a few weeks.

I think Julianne has a dress with a corset as part of it, and its giving her figure an extra enhancement. I hope the Nascar driver hangs around just for more funny inappropriate interviews after his performance.
That tweet of Kate's that she's busier than ever. For me it shows how much help she had when the tups were young, both volunteer and then paid. She should have been completely busy and drop dead exhausted with all those babies plus two toddlers. Instead she got to sleep in. As children get older, you can be very busy with their activities but it's different. Especially since she has no job, she's been pretty uninvolved for this to be her busiest ever. And she's disgusting if those kids get activities for filming and then have to drop them.
I can't even imagine what the twins will get for their birthday. If you were 14 years old and successfully blackmailing or manipulating your mother, what would you ask for?
Well said Mel! I'm surprised that Julianne was able to keep those puppies contained with all the gesturing and twisting she was doing. Maybe we should all invest in some dress tape because they're going to go through a lot if it on DWTS this season or risk a nip slip from Julianne.

If we do see TFW enroll the kids in activities, I have a feeling the
boy tups will be in one and the girl tups in another. Can't have any
individual preferences getting in the way. Remember, the woman
had to ask her 10-year-old if he liked basketball, so she doesn't
exactly have her finger on the pulse of their interests.
Or, if they want to amp up the drama, they can put all 6 in different
activities, and watch their poor mommy run around like a chicken
with her head cut off, trying to keep all their schedules straight.
Then the cameras will leave, and the activities will end.

Yep, I think you are right. We already got a taste of it with Broken Footgate.
Most town sponsored sports have cut off times for joining. They have their schedules in place and coaches and fields lined up. They are not going to just add a bunch of kids to one team after the deadline because Kate needs something to film. And they aren't going to look favorably to a bunch of kids joining a team and then pulling out half way into the season. It's unfortunately, because it wouldn't bother Kate to put half effort into something and not teach the kids, you wanted to sign up to play xyz, you don't quit. Kate would have lots of forms to fill out with medical info and proof of birth date, etc. I hope for the kids sake, especially the boys that they are getting to participate in something. I hope more that they aren't being filmed. Because this would be their first adventure into a team sport, they probably are too good at the concept of taking turns, listening to a coach, following directions of a coach, which at age 10 is a little late. In my area, most kids start with soccer or Tball by first grade, if not sooner. At that age, they are so much fun to watch, because most of them really don't have any idea of what they are supposed to do, all the players on field just follow the ball like a pack. By 10, I would say, it's expected that they know the basic principle of the game/sport, rules, etc. If they are being filmed after a day starting 6 a.m., home from school around 4, and homework, etc. that is abusive and asking for sick, burned out kids.

On this, we most certainly agree. I'm thinking of the way Kate treated Jon on the show - constant put-downs and mocking laughter, yelling at him, and hitting him. And many women on various sites didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with that behavior at all. They would joke that Jon was her 9th child. But if the situation had been reversed, I'm sure those same women would have been up in arms over Jon's treatment of Kate.
I was disturbed by her treatment of Jon and recognized it as spousal abuse. Maybe he didn't end up with black eyes or broken bones, but verbal abuse is just as hurtful, and she definitely controlled every little detail about his life and made him do what she wanted, regardless of his desires. It is still very difficult for a lot of people to realize that sometimes the wife/female is the abuser and most men don't want to even admit to themselves what's going on. How many times have we seen comments that say Jon should "man up"?
Disrespect for your partner is never cool, nor funny. If I see either partner in a relationship constantly belittling or mocking the other, that's a huge red flag. Another thing Kate did that is classic abuser behavior is isolate Jon from his family. She is doing the same with the kids.

Murr's bill seems to have no teeth as far as Kate is concerned, so I think she can film the kids whenever and where ever she wants period. If she doesn't apply for a work permit, and she never has in the past, who even knows when she has them filmed? No proof that is she right now though. People keep mentioning the 15% of the earnings that must be put into trust for the kids..what I wonder, who sees that this is actually done? Does anyone have access to that account? Or, is it another toothless law that Kate can ignore without consequence? And lastly, will the judge in their case allow their mother to keep them under contract with TLC their whole childhood without bothering to even once interview the 8 and see if this is what they want?

With the twins in 8th grade, I'm wondering when they would have time to shoot. My son is in 9th, and since he started middle school, with 7 different teachers, there has been quite a bit of homework everyday and projects that have to be done over the weekend. Top that off with sports after school everyday...and you're left with barely enough time to bathe, much less complete her ridiculous chore chart AND film.
Flimsy yes exactly what I was thinking. Like I was saying the other day kids who are seriously involved in the arts will homeschool or have a tutor or go to a special arts school in LA or NY that are extremely flexible. Some of those schools include The Bridge school, professional Children's School and Crossroads. I can't imagine their school is anywhere close to used to dealing with the wacky schedule of a child star. If you look at stories from child actors who tried to go to regular school like Kristin Stewart and Lindsay Lohen they often report grave difficulties. The gosselins are of an age where any absences or special accommodations to be a star are likely to be met with reluctance.
I watched a few minutes of DWTS & was turned off by Julianne's use of the word LIKE over & over!

Of course, Kate made it all about Kate, and never thought about WHY Jon chose to lie about the lunch instead of telling her.

Regarding the sports Kate is signing them up for. What about the other kids on the team. Are they and their parents required to sign CA's. Does the sports action have to stop and do re-takes to get the best camera angles of the Gosselins. Does the camera have to capture a Gosselin making the big play or the score. Does Kate have her excuse(s) ready for when a Gosselin is on the bench not playing.
Playing sports is about the joy of the activity. Having fun with friends. Learning discipline, team sports, etc. Would filming the Gosselin children suck the fun out of activity for the other players.

To show how hard poor stressed out Kate mother doing it alone with 6 pre-teens & 2 teens. A bunch of boring everyday stuff everyone else does all the time.

And I had gotten disenchanted with Big Brother, but now its becoming a very strategic endgame with some gifted players and one can't-win-anything player. It ends the same night survivor starts, next Wednesday!

I was pleasantly surprised at Lea Thompson on DWTS. She is very talented and still very attractive at 53. Alfonso Ribeiro did very well too. I think it will come down to the two of them in the final.
Sadie Robertson and Randy Couture were my surprise stand outs for the night. I figured Sadie would be uptight and Randy would be stiff, but both of them were very impressive. I thought Julianne was going to have an orgasm before she was done with him.
I saw it "live" on the east coast and noticed they bleeped out Betsey Johnson apparently saying the F-Word. Erin Andrews seemed stunned. I thought it was odd until Tommy Chong came out and I realized they probably had it on a ten-second delay in case he slipped up. Lucky for them.
Speaking of Tommy Chong, he is my sentimental favorite for the season. I grew up watching Cheech & Chong movies. I know he won't win but I do hope he outlasts Michael Waltrip.
I don't think Kate and the kids are filming. I think she just popped in on twitter to say how busy she is just to give an excuse why she hasn't been tweeting. Several of her tweeties had noticed that she had been retweeting stuff, but hadn't said hello to them.
Of course, she wants them all to speculate that she and the kids are filming, when in actuality she's probably not doing much of anything except what she normally does when the kids are in school.
There is no proof that Kate is filming, nor that she is signing up any or all kids for activities, nor doing it only for filming so she can yank them out again when filming is over. How did this all get started from one stupid tweet?

I don't think Kate and the kids are filming. I think she just popped in on twitter to say how busy she is just to give an excuse why she hasn't been tweeting. Several of her tweeties had noticed that she had been retweeting stuff, but hadn't said hello to them.
Of course, she wants them all to speculate that she and the kids are filming, when in actuality she's probably not doing much of anything except what she normally does when the kids are in school.

I tend to agree. She is probably still riding her narcissistic high from the August filming, the tweets about the birthday special being shown in the UK, and her tweets which keep the sheeple engaged and speculating. JMHO.
But it's now the middle of September so she'll ramp her tweets up again about all the work of planning her teenagers' upcoming birthday.

Agree, it was kind of an ambiguous taunting tweet, to make people wonder what's new with her. I don't know but it probably is something either to prove she is a #superbusymom or to hint she is signing the kids up for activities- moving parts. Whether filming is involved, who knows.
Kate's news always is about herself but via the children. Otherwise she is not 'relevant.' Her identity is thoroughly enmeshed with their very being. Yes, it's that way for parents sometimes, but most people don't put their family's private business out there, although twitter itself is not blameless IMO.
Again, IMO. If people have twitters that's their choice as well as how they use it.
Joy - I'm currently watching Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad Binge. Tomorrow night Red Band Society premiers and I've been looking forward to that. Also watching AGT (2 more shows) and DWTS. I tried Z Nation but didn't really like it. Next week both The Middle and The Goldbergs come back on (who knew that the actress playing Sue Heck is 22). Criminal Minds, Top Chef and Walking Dead come on again in October and I'm looking forward to Bad Judge, Gracepoint and American Horror Story - Freak Show.
Milo, Milo, Milo. kate has been stopping and smelling the roses for over 10 years. She must have a hole big enough in her septum to drive a mack truck through. The roses? All the volunteers, helpers, State Nurse, donations, gift cards, NOBU, trips, clothes, luxury cars, freebies, cash, paychecks, being with Steve, feeling superior over her children, family, animals and friends. And putting the father of her children and her children through a living hell that no parent has a right to do.
The thorns will show up one day. It has been promised.
I'm playing catch-up again, and I'm struck by how boring Kate is becoming. For so many years, even after the show was cancelled, she always had something going on. A talk show, a magazine cover, some kind of appearance. But nothing since the paltry "media day" in June before the first special. It looks like the Today show/Access
Hollywood/tabloid programs are over her. Now TLC is all she has left, and who knows how long that will last? I think they did the two-part special to see if there was any interest. It got mediocre ratings, so they're doing a few more low-budget specials, then they'll wait and see how those ratings come out before committing to any more. But the days of 40-episode seasons and unlimited expense budgets are obviously over, never to return.
In real life here--I broke my toe. Yes, it was a toe, not a foot. And I'm still able to hobble around and feed the kids! Shocking!
We're shopping for a Vespa for one of our sons' upcoming birthday, and I'm wondering if Kate is kicking herself for getting rid of the one that was gifted to her. The twins would have loved it. Of course, she just dumped it because she didn't want it, without ever thinking that it might be nice to save it for the twins to use when they are old enough. She never could see beyond her own immediate wants, especially where her children are concerned. Of course, back then she still believed the gravy train would never end, and probably thought she could get shiny new ones for the twins, just for asking. My, how times have changed.
Kate purchased something or it is the kids activities, or both, and I do think they are filming this, cause what else does Kate have going on?

And American Horror Story should be great, with Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates having loads odd fun while chewing up the scenery! Kathy Bates was really surprised and touched at her Emmy for AHS Coven.

Let me know where the good deals are! My brother was looking for one in the spring as a graduation gift for his son, but alas, they just couldn't swing it because of the price. He was disappointed, of course, but they keep looking for one that is affordable.

I'm watching Intervention reruns on Lifetime. This Epi has a guy whose mom tried to relive the childhood she wanted through him...show business etc. he was on a reality show called Endurance as a kid and was humiliated by the rejection of the other kids. Many times in the past when Kate has tweeted they are busy busy busy it's because they are tweeting. Her tweets really do have a pretty reliable pattern.
I don't think it's unreasonable to speculate if they could be filming. I do also agree though it could just be Kate WANTING people to think that. That's how she rolls. The "moving" though is too much. There is no pattern to indicate that.

Do you ever wonder how these anonymous people who tweet Kate feel when Milo jumps in and answers them or tries to relate to them? They are not asking her or relating to her, they are trying to get Kate's attention. It's creepy! And she never lets things go. She had tweeted FOUR times on that 'speculatin' tweet, deleted them, and just tweeted again, making it a grand five responses to one tweet. It is so odd and creepy.

Because she's Milo the Mentalist, doncha know. She may never have met the family but she's so tuned into them that she knows them intimately. Even their strengths and weakness in sports.

Mom of 2 I wasn't comparing her to Michael Jackson the child molester for pete sake. Ugh, never. I was comparing the situation to that of Michael Jackson's personal doctor and his death. It IS similar.
He too had this personal doctor, supposedly performing procedures he shouldn't have been performing outside a hospital. If you recall, Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of manslaughter. It is coming out that Joan's personal doctor may not have had hospital privileges at the clinic and that if a biopsy was performed (the clinic denies this), he was the one to do it and that the biopsy may have been spur of the moment and maybe should have been performed in a hospital. It reminds me of another personal "doctor to the stars," Conrad Murray, pushing the boundaries, that is all. I can see egos and a strong desire to please your celeb getting in the way of sound judgment. So far no one has been charged with anything and the investigation is ongoing.
I should say involuntary manslaughter actually, a lesser charge than actual manslaughter.
