It's very telling to go back and watch Surviving Sextuplets and Twins. Now that we know the back story, you can clearly see how calculating and duplicitous she was right out of the gate. She acted like the cool, roll-with-the-punches mother, when in reality she was off her nut and an experienced grifter. She had it planned all along to get as much as she could out of Figure 8/TLC. All she talked about was how much they needed, how much they wanted and the burdensome cost of raising the brood.
I doubt if even she knew how far they would go with her, but once the ball started rolling she wasn't going to turn back. She had the keys to the vault and she was emptying it.
Flimsy loan me back that dunce cap, please. After all these years I still feel like an idiot for getting sucked in by her story.

Worst episode besides gum gate and cupcake gate was, in my opinion, coupon gate.
Kate sealed the deal for me disliking her when she railed into Jon for the horror of not using a "COO-PAWN" and stomped around the house ranting / making a complete ass of herself.
Anyone that is willing to treat their spouse like that in front of millions of potential television viewers is just an asshole, plain and simple.

So Penn. does NOT have anti SLAPP laws? Do lawyers take cases in states where there ARE these laws in place? Also, has this BV idiot filed claims IN states where these laws exist? What happens if you do make a SLAPP suit, why does it go so far, aren't you breaking the law? How can you prove that it was frivolous? In tfw's delusional demented mind, SHE feels she's right.

The two suits BV has filed in CA and TX, those two states both have very stiff anti-SLAPP laws. Meaning if you file the suit in hopes to scare the person you're suing, then nonsuit if they respond, it doesn't matter. The defendant can carry on in order to seek payment of their attorneys fees and the plaintiff could be punished by the court with sanctions. The judge in the BV TX case is supposed to rule on sanctions on Friday.
He must have been 100% confident that no one would respond to his suits in order to risk filing these in two anti-SLAPP states.
I looked up PA, they don't seem to have any anti-SLAPP laws except for something about enviromental causes. For ex. if you blog about how the marcellus shale fracking companies are ruining your town and causing pollution, if the shale company tries to SLAPP you, you will have some extra protection in the courts.
How do they prove it was frivolous? When plaintiff files the case knowing they have no way to prove their allegations. A big, wild finger pointing story is not proof.
Just like there is no way to convice the sheeple there was no "settlement," remember how there was no way to make them understand that Jon wouldn't be going to jail from this case?! That this was not a criminal case? Hahahaha, they kept talking about the DA taking the case and Jon and Robert getting 30 years in prison. In fact, when the suit was dropped, one said Jon should thank Shawn for keeping him out of prison. smh.

I checked out Wikipedia's episode guide for the show and realized the tummy tuck episode was aired in January, 2007, so obviously, it took place in 2006.
Basically, it was the second time they were on the air. That was when I realized there was something off about her. She's offered a free tummy-tuck by someone who saw the first special and felt sorry for her. And then she has the BALLS to ask for a boob job? Who does that? That was beyond rude. That was when I was finished with her and things just went downhill from then on. I must have been one of the first to refuse to buy what she was selling.

They look soooo happy. How many of us looked forward to riding around in a vehicle with our sibs. Not me. I wanted to do something the sibs didn't want to do. No way, all 8 of the children screamed with joy that they got ride in a vehicle while Mady drove. Just another staged pic for the camera.
In the video clip, Hannah, Alexis and Leah are on the couch, and Hannah says "Usually when Mommy makes big parties at the end she's like 'ooh, I'm so tired, I don't want to do any of this.'
Later in the clip, Mady, Kate and Cara are on the couch, and Cara is sitting there picking on her sweater, looking like she wishes she were somewhere else-similar to how she was on the Today show.

It is possible that Robert will be offering the book for sale, initially, only from his website using PayPal. That way, he will not be risking Amazon or other sellers pulling it because of threat of legal action. If TFW doesn't sue him right off the bat, and TLC doesn't allege intellectual property violations, then it might be clear sailing for him to get Amazon to accept it again.

This show is going to be pathetic. The commercial where Mady tells Kate this is a stupid idea for the party and anyway it's not my party, is just so telling. The younger kids are not interested in the circus theme at all and are not shy to let her know. The look on Aadens face when she was telling them what the party would be like was priceless and sad at the same time. He seemed excited right up to the moment when she said circus and then he just crumbled. And at the very end, did you SEE Cara tearing at her shirt? Kate was between M and C and she had her eyes down, not saying a word, and she was pulling the fabric of her sleeve in what looked like she was trying to tear it. I feel so badly that these children have been treated like circus animals their whole lives and you can see they are just sick and tired of it. Kate needs those kids stripped from her ASAP.

I'm trying to remember what the weather was like here that week. I think that it snowed, or we had flurries and ice storms.Temperatures were in the mid 40s for the highs and dropped down into the low 30s at night. It definitely wasn't warm enough for bare legs and sleeveless tops. The grass in that photo is green. Our grass looked nothing like that in early March. It was still brown.
I see there's a video clip in the People article and the description

My question is: why was it HER plan? In the article, she says, "All

I'm guessing maybe that's her big surprise. A trip somewhere (TLC financed, of course). But it will be somewhere mediocre like a beach (which would be great for the kids as long as they don't get the crap filmed out of them, and as long as a fun nanny is along). When Kate was telling them about the superfuncarnivaltheme, did everyone hear one of the kids shout "Where are we going???"
Did this mean they assumed their birthday bash would take place far away as part of a birthday trip? Yes, kids...you got screwed again.
I'm not surprised about the story in People, but I'm glad it's not the cover story.
Filming with no trip might just be the last straw for the kids, even though tfw has other ideas.
Okay, I was curious. I went back and looked at the weather history for spring break. On Thursday of that week, the high was 30; low was 18. Average temps for that week were 41 and 32. There is no way those kids would have been outside in that weather without jackets, if TLC is trying to make us believe that this was filmed on spring break.
I wonder if they have a dunking tank at the party. If they do, I'd watch just to see Kate getting dunked, but I doubt she would be in it. Most likely that job would be handed off to Jamie or Deanna.
And just how stupid does TLC think we are that we can't see through this "fake" spring break thing? Do they believe that no locals know what the weather was like at that time, and they can just slip that past us? I guess they never bothered to check Kate's tweets about the snow on the ground.

I tried to look at the picture of the cart that Mady is driving but the link doesn't work.
That picture of kate in that striped clown suit and weee-ig! Oh, my she looks like she is on that show, not Wipe Out but the Japanese show, I can't think of the name! That is SOOOO embarrassing for the small kids and even more embarrassing for Mady and Cara! Did you see kate look up to Heaven and clasp her hands and pray really cute to the Lord about it working out? How many times did she do that for grifting through out the years!
So VERY telling when Mady said it was stupid that she was not having Anything to do with it! Well, a second right before Mady started talking, kate had shoved a big chip in her mouth and when Mady had her hand up (almost in her face) saying she wasn't having anything to do with it, kate, stunned and shocked at the defiance, quickly shoved it in further to get it down so she could say something. When Mady was finishing, all kate could do is look at the producer and just shrug her shoulders. And kate didn't say a thing. kate got Schooled!
She looked tired, defeated. Wow. And this is very mild compared to a few months and into the 15's and 16's. Can you imagine kate telling Mady and Cara that they have to get a job and buy their own cars and she won't take them back and forth till they do, even though she has 3 vehicles sitting on the property.
I was taken aback at how easy kate's presentation was trying to convince the tups about the birthday party plans. Leah said, Why can't we just rollerblade? kate looks defeated, tired, looks like she hasn't had much rest because of the stress of the book coming out and all of the mess finally falling around down her and it is only going to get worse.

I seriously doubt that Kate and the kids got together and dreamed up that party. More like TLC hired party planners. All Kate did was dress up in that ridiculous costume, pose for the cameras, and look like the Shrek Donkey once again, only as a clown donkey this time.
Just watched the new promo. Why, oh why, did I? Now I'm angry. Things of note:
1) NONE of the sextuplets liked the idea. The looks on their faces (and their objections) said it all. No "shrieks" or "chirping."
2) Each sextuplet had a reaction (though Joel's was mild) EXCEPT for Collin. None. Blank face.
3) Leah, one of the two faves, later approaches Kate and says, "I don't mind, but the rest..." Kate focuses on the "I don't mind" part that one of her chosen ones has said.
4) When Mady is all, "I don't care," Kate is looking off to someone in exasperation, like she always does. Who? Producer or Steve?
5) This part bothered me most: AFTER they showed Mady's reaction to the party, Kate explains in the voiceover that the six always follow the twins' example and that's why they weren't excited. Duh--it's all Mady's fault that the kids didn't like the carnival idea!!!
Of course it's a carnival so that they can compare the last birthday party TLC ever throws them with the first one they ever threw. It's lazy writing by production. Nevertheless, the ideas of production come before the wants of children. Priorities.
One last thing--Kate mentions that it would be hard to get all six to agree on one party idea. That is the closest she's ever come to admitting they are six individuals and not one entity. If this party was really for them and not for TV, she easily could have taken ideas and had them vote. I bet Leah wasn't the only one who would have agreed to rollerblading. I went to a lot of skating parties at that age. But that's too average, too hard to film, and imagine the liability. So a carnival it is!
I admit I was planning on watching the special to check on the kids--sincerely check on the kids and look for things like Collin's face in this promo, but I am so heated after watching two minutes that I'm not sure I can handle two hours.
Watch on the Korean dinner about Jon specifically telling kate that he had to have the 2 vegetables cut (chives and onions or leeks) and ready and they had be in separate dishes, because he was going to use them at different times during the cooking. kate did it but mixed them up together. Wow. Jon was so furious. She did it on purpose, because he was rocking cooking the dinner and she could not stand it.
Jon should of then just went and got someone in charge and told them, get her out of here, make something up, take her shopping, get her out of here and bring her back later on tonight. When she leaves we will continue taping. I am going to finish this supper for my kids in peace and quiet.
Give me your cell phone number and I will call you when they are in the bed, then you can bring her back. If you don't do this, I will load up all of the kids and leave for the night.
kate did the same thing to her daughters when they tried to cook something. She on purposely set them up to fail. She sabotaged it.
I agree with MiChi (182), the scene where she tells the crew to "Stop playing 'we're filming a TV show' and get some real work done'" really irritated me. They were doing their jobs--you know, real work, but she thinks unless they are doing manual labor for her, they're just playing. It was exactly like the toy store scene where she yells at Jon to "stop playing with toys and come over here". "Stop playing" to both Jon and the crew. Once Jon was gone and she couldn't order him around and make him do all the work for her, she decided that the crew needed to step in and fill his shoes. He did all the work taking care of the kids while she barked orders. Interesting how, with him gone, the crew became "crew daddies", playing with the kids, reading to them. Doing all the real work, just like Jon used to do.
I think the folks at TLC were really ticked off to see actual footage of how badly she treated their employees, and deliberately left that scene in to show how nasty she was to the crew. The scene where she snipes to Jamie, "Oh, the life of a princess" was very telling, too. She was furious that TLC was not treating her like a princess and sending her on some luxury vacation to an exotic destination. Being stuffed into RVs to drive round America was not what she had in mind.
Oh, yes, the entire RV debacle was a big FU to Kate. Showing her fits, her tantrums, her sniping to her friends about what size she is, her tizzies about every little thing. They very deliberately showed us the real Kate.
I don't know what Kate's worst moment is. There are so many. I know someone who volunteered there during the first year. She is a good person who won't give me the details because she doesn't want to talk badly about someone else but she will say it was awful. After the first year, there was the article about Kate going to court to extend the Medicaid nurse because the public owed her the support for letting her have six kids at once. I think then the volunteers mostly stopped. She may have had one or two church members and Aunt Jodi. But the rest were paid help and of course she couldn't trust them to use common sense and left notes everywhere.
For me, Kate has such a fundamental disconnect about what children are. You can't use reason and logic with a 2 year old. (Sometimes not even with a 10 year old.) Of course 3 year olds don't pee their pants on purpose to piss you off. They pee their pants because they are young children. At first, potty training is about training the parent to notice signs, to take them to the potty frequently, to encourage them. It takes time and attention. Even as they get older you still keep asking them before you leave the house or if they do the ppotty dance at Target. Yes it's a pain. You do it because it's part of being a parent.
Kate is part of the group that thinks you can reason with a tiny child. I heard a woman at Target ask a toddler why she ran into the street. A 2 yr old doesn't have a why for that. You just say no. You use discussion for less important stuff like what dessert to eat. Kate seemed to think if she told them they needed to be trained they would understand and do it and any failures were defiance.
Children are children. Their bodies and brains are not developed. A loving mother understands that. She gives them love, teaching, and appropriate discipline. Kate has never loved any of her children IMO. She treats some better than others but loves none of them. That is her worst moment and it is repeated in every episode.
I watched the You tube videos that were highlighted. IMO, Kate is a very unhappy,controlling woman who does not enjoy life, unless the attention is on her. She is a real Ba-- Buster, and I don't know how Jon put up with her for one minute. She should never had, had children. Poor kids.

I watched the People clip, and WOW! Not one of those kids want to do that stupid carnival thing, they are all very vocal about it, and she doesn't care. And they actually show Mady trashing the tups for their "bad hair"? Since when is it a positive thing to bash 10-year-olds on TV? She and Cara both trashed the Tups in People, and Mady trashed them on The View and the Today show. Sheeple claim that the non-fans bash the kids. Looks to me like the tups are being trashed pretty much non-stop in their own home. How does that make them feel? And does Kate step in to stop Mady? No, she allows it to continue. For someone who whines so much about bullying, Kate is awfully tolerant of bullying in her house.
Poor Collin shows no reactions at all. And when is the last time Cara actually spoke on-camera? In all the clips of the special shown so far, she has nothing to say. She didn't speak at all on the Today show, didn't say much (if anything) on The View, was silent on Katie Couric. I don't think she spoke a single word on CWS. At the end of K+8 I remember her lying down on the interview couch with her back to the camera while Mady talked. That girl does NOT want to be on TV.

If you look at one of the promotional videos (I think the one on the facebook page) You will see that in the van and while they are shopping (where one of the girl tups says she doesn't want TFW to be a clown) they are in winter gear and through the windows of the van you can definitely see snow on the ground. However, later on for the party TFW is wearing her strapless sundress and the kids are in shorts. SOOOO very inconsistent.
In my humble opinion, Kate is not a nice person in any form of the description. Seen too many early programs to feel any differently. Will not watch new special, or old programs. It is just too bad that Jon cannot rescue his eight children. Time will show everyone the damage done to these children. Their very birth was planned around the money they could make. Sad, but I believe that is the reality of the situation. No one has convinced me any differently, nor have they tried. Most see it like it is and for what it is. Kids financially supporting parents and really messed up at that.
Who wants to bet Cake Boss does an episode where they build a huge carnival themed birthday cake? That would be my guess. It is pretty overwhelming!

Going back to this a second. I don't think it's that there's some rule out there that there are no residuals allowed for reality T.V. I think what happened was because so many people don't have lawyers and aren't union, residuals are the first thing that goes from the contract.
I don't see why someone savvy, in demand and lawyered up couldn't both demand it and get it. In fact, as Vanessa also speculated, it may be that residuals were in Kate's Kate Plus 8 contract when she was much more famous, which might explain why they avoid airing the episodes because they're more expensive to air.
I find it impossible to believe that a power player like Kris Kardashian did not negotiate an air tight residual agreement. Many other celebs have had reality shows and their agents would know about residuals and would insist on a good contract and representation by an attorney or agent. It's the laymen who have gotten screwed by network quietly taking out residual agreements from contracts and the laymen none being the wiser since they just want to be on T.V.
If I were a guest at the party and saw the granny boobs on the "not a waist" I would be mortified for her. She really needs a touch up on those puppies or at least wear a bra.

No way was it warm in early March. This winter went on FOREVER. It went on so long that my dd's last day of school was TODAY because of all the snow. The trees didn't bud for a long long time..that'll be another clue. Leaves didn't appear at all until well into April this year.

Yes. We all should remember what a hard winter this was. It was all over the news or you lived it.
Even in mild weathered years, I have never in over 20 years living in the Northeast anywhere from 80 to just a couple hundred miles from Kate, ever seen the trees blooming during the first week of March. Never. In fact we've had some of are most severe snow storms in March. Nature often likes to give us one or two big whoopers in March just when you're starting to have hope it's finally over.
It was not filmed over spring break, plain and simple, and I don't understand the lying.

I heared some of the kids suggest other things like staking-(I think) and momma ignored them and kept with her idea then. She blamed the twins for making the 6 not liking her idea.

I'm sure Kate has been brainwashing them for years now that TLC is the reason they go to fun places. Thus when TLC gets involved again the question is Where are we going??
Luke, I guess I don't understand why you can't watch all the shows. I don't have cable and watch most my tv on Amazon prime. The past Month its been Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Suits, Friday Night Lights, Lie To Me, Parenthood and Hot in Cleveland. When I finish those I plan to move on to Hannibal, True Blood, the Amerikans and some other shows I missed the first round.
BB isn't just about a teacher making meth. It is so superior to ANY tv show ever made. The writing and acting are phenomenal and it cannot in any way, shape or form be compared to Hoarders.
We called it years ago! A big trip every time TLC came to film. Now, at the end of the journey, kate says the big surprise is....a carnival here! Then they say, Where are we going? Leah says, Why can't we just rollerblade? I think the reason why the boy's reaction was so sad was that they were not going anywhere and they were going to have to stay and WORK with the chickens, feed the chickens, haul feed bags and do all the other work the W asks for.
Also, did anyone notice that beige board with all the sayings on it? I think she just put that there right before the camera's got turned on. Also that tree branch thing that Zorro was walking on looked like it was especially for birds. A banana hanger is tall and has hooks at the top.
Can't believe she would let the bird walk all over her island and eating food. yuck!

Kate looks deathly ill in that clip. She's pale as a ghost, all bones and sunken in collarbone, and her face was a shiny sheen of sweat. Her hair is thin, lifeless and dishwater blonde.
She also appears anemic, downtrodden, burdened and defeated. There is no life in her at all. Good luck with 8 teenagers at once.
Maybe it's time for her family (parents, sisters and brother) to stage an intervention. She does not look healthy emotionally or physically from what I could see. How can she have any energy to run/jog? To me, she looks like she's barely clinging to life.

Now with these 2 clips from the upcoming special I've noticed the same eery silence which I think is done completely on purpose to highlight Kate's behavior.

Again, Mady allowed to badmouth her siblings ON NATIONAL TV. She only repeats what she hears and all those words are her mother's. ALL OF THEM. She talks about her siblings in the exact same way as we have all witnessed their bitch mother. From "boys, their DIRTY, JUST NASTY" to
Colin's big head, to Mady's teeth, to Cara's hair...etc. And she's got the NERVE to sit their with her maw gaping open feigning shock? I"m sure she's had little girlie bonding time in her bedroom with Mady, giggling over all the things that annoy them about the twins. BULLYING AT IT'S BEST!

I can't get over how saggy those boobs of hers are! Why why WHY doesn't she stop wearing strapless getups?

She says the kids are swayed by Mady and Cara??? NO KATE, they all behave exactly as you do. A narc loves to throw a wrench into anything that that is seemingly going smooth. We saw it numerous times, pumpkin carving, cupcake decorating, not using markers, Jon's dinner... part of their reaction to the carnival is "no, we already did this" but I bet more often than not, they say black when it's white JUST BECAUSE. They learned that contradictory behavior from her. Again, not their fault. I hope they can see themselves on film years from now and consciously decide they don't want to be their mother. In a way it's better than just using your own memory (like a lot of us here) as a guage for proper behavior, or how NOT to behave.

Oh they are really doing a number on her at TLC's site! Her picture in the red dress, one of the most unflattering pictures of her, considering it was a professional shoot. All the clips are highlighting (and I mean with a strobe light) her at her worst!

Seems like gross and nasty sells with TLC, and from the clips I've seen, that's the wagon they're hitching their horse to with the update. Show a lot of mouthy bad behavior. It works for HBB, why not now? They're banking on the bitch factor and including the kids this time.
I give the kids a pass with the "Where are we going" question. Maybe they meant something as innocent as laser-tag or glow-in-the-dark mini-golf. Something that 10 year-old kids would enjoy and possibly something they've done with their peers at other birthday parties.
BTW, Robert said his first book was only 10% of what he had. I wonder if the gloves will be completely off this time.

So funny!! No mention of Kate on GMA until the very last minute. She's going to get maybe 3 minutes of air time. I was starting to think she wasn't going to be on. They literally did not mention her until the very end of the show.
Kate was given 3 minutes of the last 10 minutes of GMA this morning. More of the victim, I work sooo hard, grateful that I survived another day, Blah, blah. The kids didn't seem excited when she mentioned a carnival theme for their birthday and objected to it. More than one child said, "we have done that before" and she just kept talking, not asking for suggestions. Nothing new with this gal.
Did she say the bird is her TENTH child?
Was it a flub (thinking of Jon?) or is the dog her 9th?
Ok, even if she loves her long hair (I know a lot of women are attached to their own) she can get it trimmed. it can still be "long" at a decent shoulder length. She needs some layers. Waaayy too much makeup on her and did you see the zits popping through? The interviewer, who is going (or was going) through chemo was absolutely glowing, radiant. She's 41!
The contouring makeup around tfw's face looked awful. She actually looks 100x better without makeup

Haven't heard the interview yet, but at this point, what she says doesn't really matter. Followed by The Chinese Boxer. Meanwhile SyFy network has the premiere of season 2 of Defiance, followed by the premiere of Dominion starting yummy Anthony Head who was Giles on Buffy, love him!

I have directv on the first level, Netflix. I can watch it but, maybe I will. Do you get Amazon prime through your computer or can you get a box to watch it through your tv?
I am at the clinic right now and was almost an hour late and then was going good and then the power completely went off. Chaos! But it finally came on just a while ago. The tv finally came on and I was watching GMA and at that point, they hadn't even mentioned kate.
The segment with JLo's surprise to the couple is over and still no head shot of kate sitting comfortably, waving those talons and showing those "bright as all get out" veneers.
Oh, man! They just showed her! Going to break. She is standing there smiling. BOY, she looks bad! Her makeup looks muddy and uneven.

The interview on Good Morning America was all of three minutes long. It was outside too. And the most telling was they never announced during the 2 hour program that she was going to be on the show today. At least I did not hear it. On the Today Show they would always announce it every few minutes and also show a live shot of her. Not so for GMA.
