Jolee, so in your opinion, unless you SEE the child abuse with your own eyes, it couldn't have happened? What if a parent confesses to it like Kate does in her journals? That's not enough?

I think by that logic, about 95% of kids who are rightly in foster care wouldn't be there, by those I'll believe it when I see it standards. The other 5% were caught on security cameras or by eyewitnesses.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Oh geez, I wish Kendra would swing by so we could educate her on just how much Kate has left these kids behind. And often to do pampering. Teeth whitening, Mexican photoshoots, surgeries. Gimme a break.

Anyway what's the point of being home with the kids anyway if all they are doing is being your slave? Hardly quality time.

Kendra? Don't change. Seriously.

Michelle said...

And I find it so sad that "the littles" get a whopping 1/2 per day of play time "if they don't have homework". What a life!
---------------
Oops! Typo. Obviously meant 1/2 hour per day. Those kids haven't seen 1/2 a day of playtime ever.

After reading that manual, I must say I despise Kate Gosselin. I can't think of one reality TV figure who I dislike more. That says a lot considering I actually watched VH1's The Surreal Life the season Omarosa and Janice Dickinson were on.

Again, if her fans truly want her to get back on TV, they need to start giving her some constructive criticism instead of blowing sunshine up her butt. Tell her to lose the "ums" when interviewed. Tell her to dress for an AM talk show, not like she's going clubbing at 10:00 a.m. Tell her to pick a lie and stick with it. They are part of her problem, not the solution.

I just hate to think how the future will play out for the Gosselin kids. Thankfully, hours of footage they can show their future therapists. Print that manual Jon so your kids can use it at future therapy appointments.

I see Deanna's twitter account is still public. Now that she's a "stah" like her bestie, she probably expects people to start following her in droves, and doesn't want to be bothered having to approve them.

I briefly watched some of the round table discussion, and Deanna had no input at all-just had a dumb look on her face and just nodded her head, almost like a robot.

When Kendra went out to lunch, she went out with Kendra's friend, Julie and Deanna. Doesn't say much for how many friends Kate's has, when Deanna is the only friend they could muster up.

'Celebrity Wife Swap' gets biggest ratings ever with Kate Gosselin

"The second season premiere of ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap saddled Playboy pinup Wilkinson with Gosselin’s famed mega-litter. The show was seen by 7 million viewers and had a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49. That’s up 4 percent from the series premiere of the celebrity version of Wife Swap last year and represents an all-time high for the show among both viewers and the demo.

Too bad they left Kendra off the headline.

Rest assured.. This is edited to be short so it comes across a little different then what was meant. Agree @deannatweeting ?

Blizzard here and power restored only last night, but just in time to see this ridiculous episode of Wife Swap.

First, I want to comment on the above tweet: "a little different THEN what..."...that would be THAN, NOT "THEN," Kate. Once again, you have made it obvious that you do not do your own writing. You are, in fact, INCAPABLE of doing so.

Kate looked so harsh to me last night. Even though I can't stand her, I've always found her pretty (mostly BEFORE all her plastic surgery). She looked positively haggard and drawn to me--her face doesn't even remotely resemble her former appearance. She should have left well enough alone.

Deanna was there as her counterpart...REALLY? Deanna looks like a child, and her appearance alongside Kate on the show was downright comical--comical and disturbing at the same time.

I so agree with all who have said that Cara and the boys look heartbreakingly sad and devoid of joy. Those little boys were not happy to see Kate return...they did what was expected, turned around, and walked back in the house. No joy there.

My final comment is regarding Kate's bitchy face during the face-to-face meeting with Kendra. Kendra accepted her criticism with grace. Kate doesn't know the meaning of the word grace. The contempt on her face when Kendra was speaking was spine chilling.

Weird how she mentioned twice on her rules NOT to go to the twins room- sounds fishy like something to hide? I'm all for privacy but wouldn't the girls maybe want their mom to come into their bedroom- I know mine still does to chat or show me something, whatever?

Still don't get why the twins couldn't enter the kitchen - was it only 6:02?? and that's BS about the full breakfast- they had oatmeal and half a banana on the show plus she said she packs a bus snack as they aren't hungry at breakfast. And what about all the stale cereal she has?

FYI said...

The show had almost 7 millions viewers, and was #3 in network primetime ratings, behind NCIS(over 20 million) and NCIS:LA(over 16 million).

But is that due to Kate, with her 140,000 followers or Kendra with her over 2 million followers? Of course, the sheeple will be ecstatic and say it was ALL because of Kate.

This is a place that I (yes, as a fan of Kate's) come to get all the scoop. I'm kind of grateful that people who have a "mission to change laws and protect innocent children" are so willing to invest so much daily effort into a blog about someone they don't particularly like.

---------------------

Are you aware of the fact that the blogs and people on the blogs are what got the momentum going to change the PA child labor laws that were so antiquated they were used during the Civil War (well, almost!)? Legislators had never bothered to change them; had no idea what was going on even though reality television was filmed right here in the state. No effort was ever made to write new laws that made sense, and so the status quo was maintained for decades and decades.

It was through the phone calls, e-mails, and awareness made by the blogs that caused them (and Paul Petersen) to sit up and do something about protecting the kids in the entertainment industry. People here who watched the show and blogged are the ones who got the ball rolling and we now have laws in place to protect the rights of the child.

GKWay said...

At least I'm not scared to post under my name on both blogs than some who post here and than run over and 'tattle-tale' posting under different names. I call it as I see it. Deck/Titanic's post was judgemental and self-righteous. Why is my opinion less just because I post on a different blog. I have no alliance to this blog or any other blog. If a poster is being an ass, I'm going to call you an ass.

So I guess any parent that walks around naked in their bedroom or bathroom is considered a 'bad parent'. Different countries and cultures all have different parenting standards. Since it's not up to your standard here, those parents are sluts and whores too.

Vviidd (sp) let Kendra know it was coming out one way or the other...they offered her a deal and she took it.Yes she made money off it.WHY NOT? This was not intended to make her money when they made the tape....she was backed into a corner and did what was best for her at the time. Kendra was/is not a porn star. She does NOT have sex with men intending to make money.
I'm kinda pissed I have to defend her.
* * * *

Thank you for recapping the history of Kendra's sex tape. She didn't want to have it be made public, but when she realized it was going to happen anyway - she dealt with it and said, if anyone is going to make money, it better be me. I'm sorry to see the enjoyment some people have with calling Kendra a whore, in all caps no less, as often as they can. It's disturbing in a way.

Let's be straight here - many women, especially young, attractive women, may hook up with men who are quite a bit older than they are, because these men are established, financially well off and can provide many of the finer things in life to these women. Heck, many older and less attractive women do the same thing. Many consider this "selecting the mate that can best provide for you." In our society, women typically have a lower earning power than men. If you are a young woman who hasn't had much in the way of advantages - lower income background, no real education or extensive job skills, then you have to rely on your wits to get by. If that means you catch the eye of a man who is willing to offer you security in exchange for you sleeping with him occasionally, many women will consider that a fair exchange. It's not prostitution, at least not in the legal sense.

Sorry to beat this topic yet again. I am so strongly against the concept of denigrating women for making certain choices in life. Most of us are women here -- seems like we should realize that life is hard for us all, one way or another, and for some women it's even tougher with less options. The way I see it, Kendra took the lemons life had given her and turned them into lemonade. No one got hurt in the process. In the Gosselin saga - eight little children got hurt and continue to be hurt by their mother's behavior and cruelty.

Millicent said...

I want to thank everyone who has shared their opinion of the show last night, as I did not watch it myself. It was very interesting to hear the different perspectives.

Whatever any of us think of Kendra, it sounds pretty clear that her husband loves her deeply and does so much for her because of that love and affection. I wish those two a very long and happy life together, even though the odds may be stacked against them. They have a sweet little boy that they both love.

Kate might have once inspired love in Jon, but she's gone too far down the rabbit hole to ever find that again. She gets people to do things for her by 1) paying them to do so; or 2) berating them into doing so. Nothing is done out of love and affection.

I'm so glad Jon has those children at least half the time. He really is their saving grace, and hopefully as the children get older, the family law judge will allow the children a greater leeway in selecting which parent they wish to live with. If they want to be with their dad fulltime, they should be allowed that.

While this would not surprise me one bit, I suspect she's able to leave it on because the "not-full-time-help" is at the house. Better watch out, Kate -- your lies are starting to trip over one another.

Don't you love Kate's misleading descriptions of her "help"? She says repeatedly that she doesn't have full-time help (the implication being she has *no* help) -- when the truth is more likely that she has LOTS of part-time helpers. The lady doth protest too much....

And who puts dinner in the oven at 3:30pm?

Ex Nurse said...

I didn't see the show except the meeting at the end. Why was Kate dressed like she was going to a wedding and Kendra looked so normal - jeans, sweater, hair in ponytail?
--------
Because Kate has zero instinct for appropriate dress.

The meeting at the end really highlighted Kate's misery living in the world that she created. She was on the edge of tears for the entire final meeting, and, I really did feel a little sorry for her.

She has staked her entire well-being on this imaginary persona that she has been peddling since the tups were born, and her fear of criticism was obvious in her scowls, eye rolls and defensive posture. I think that Kendra and Hank were exceedingly kind to her because she was clearly on the verge of complete collapse at the possibility that her house of cards that she has built her life on was about to be exposed.

When Deanna chimed in that she hoped that Kate would learn to relax for thirty minutes, guilt-free, it gave everyone an out, and they all grabbed it. Enabling--oh, yeah--I see why Kate likes her around. When she heard that, Kate's face transformed into one of relief--this was a message that works with her over-worked persona. Not that her children need to relax--SHE does. And, loved the stills at end showing her laid out in her best Red Cross blanket pose.

She certainly tried to rewrite history in giving Hank a painting project. Won't work--we all saw her freak-outs when carving pumpkins, at the Crayola factory, ice cream, etc.

And, when Kate was in a reality show it was a career, but, when someone else does it, she is doing "nothing"?

She is just so socially awkward--she brings nothing to the table in the way of fun or conversation. Her continued questions about whether Hank had a clone or twin were over-the-top and fake--since, she spent most of her time criticizing him and trying to change him.

I have to say that Kendra certainly has charisma and an easy manner about her. Despite her Barbie look, she comes across as kind, easy-going, natural and authentic. I can see that the camera loves her--if she has a bad side, I didn't see it.

If Kate thought that she could use this to launch a new reality show, ala Supernanny, she is truly delusional. The show simply confirmed that her kids, who have worked to provide for the family for years, have less privileges than Alcatraz prisoners and that she stops out the fire in everyone who has the misfortune to come into her sphere.

All-in-all, Kate proved that she is as she appears--controlling, self-invoved, blaming, rationalizing, unloving, rigid, miserable, lonely, awkward and, just an epic fail on all fronts. If she is wondering why she is where she is right now, viewing this episode should answer her questions.

Jennifer said...

Also: Kate doesn't take any time for herself and feels guilty when she does? I guess those mani/pedis and fake tan maintain themselves? She also writes in her manual that her needs come last. HA! That's why we saw her in the RV episode dragging the kids to a jewelry store because she saw something she liked while they were waiting for their laundry to get done. What a load of bullshit. Hell, anyone doing as much manual labor as she claims to do herself wouldn't have such a manicure to start with.

The Entertainment Weekly article about the ratings has the title-- "'Celebrity Wife Swap' gets biggest ratings ever with Kate Gosselin", inferring that is was because of Kate that it got such good ratings. However, I went back and took a look at last year's season premiere and compared the numbers between that show and this one.

Premiered Jan.3, 2012-this was the first show where they changed it to celebrities. Tracey Gold and Carnie Wilson were the wives that swapped. The show aired at 10pm on a Tuesday.

18-49 Rating - 2.3

18-49 Share - 6

Viewers Live+SD (million)- 6.250

Ratings for last night's show which aired at 8pm.

18-49 Rating - 2.4

18-49 Share - 7

Viewers Live+SD (million)- 7.00

Yes, it did get higher ratings that the previous 10 shows, but when you compare the 2 premiere episodes, there's really not that big of a difference.

People may have turned in for Kendra or for Kate--OR they may have just turned in because it was the premiere show of the season.

I have first hand issues with Kate's over controlling ways. For example, where to sit.
I grew up having to sit in the same place at the table every day, eating off the pink plate.
Everyone had his/her own color of dishes and his/her own place to eat from them. If I had decided to sit in my sister's spot or eaten off her yellow plate, my mother would have squawked. I could not rearrange my bedroom without her getting upset and wondering why. "The furniture was bought to fit in the room the way I had it", she would tell me. I've already shared about food control and having our meals plated in the kitchen, no seconds allowed. That's just 3 things. There are more.

The upshot is that I STILL, at the age of 60, have a very hard time making decisions. I grew up with decisions not even being an option - they were always made for me.

Wnen something comes up that I need to decide, I really struggle. I bet 99% of the people on this blog would say "no big deal, just do option A, it's a no-brainer, fidosmommy!", but I really have to think and mull and fret over it and even then I second guess my decision. It is almost debilitating. Thank goodness in my job, although I'm "the buck stops here" lady,
I have an excellent board I can talk to and let them help makae the best decisions for all involved. They like being part of that process and I'm glad to have them.

The Gosselin children don't have a good future in decision making if they are robbed of their
ability to even try with the small things. A child their age should be given much more freedom to think for himself/herself. "I would like to sit by Joel on the bus today" does not sound like an unreasonable request. What is unreasonable is a mom who won't pay attention
to the needs of the child to break away from the restraints.

I feel their frustrations because I have felt their frustrations in my own past.

The show did well enough in the ratings. I guess she earned her all expense paid trip. What little I watched was boring, predictable and very scripted. I'm assuming Kendra pulled in the ratings, but unfortunately Kart will no doubt benefit from this and will continue to put those poor kids on display for television every opportunity she gets. It's a shame for these kids, but she knows how to recycle, regurgitate and reinvent her phony image enough to continue her quest to stay in the entertainment business. Unfortunately, the kids will be subjected to her narcissistic needs to stay relevant for years to come. As other have stated, she kept her 6 in highchairs until they were eight, wearing bibs, using sippy cups and she she still uses plastic plates. Her kids were unable to wipe themselves or bathe without help and she had the nerve to criticize Kendra's 3 year old child. Kart limited her children from attending preschool for filming purposes, although the 6 desperately needed preschool for socialization and speaking skills. She is a lying piece of garbage but I do believe she'll have no real relationships, outside of her paid friend(s) and will never find a companion to tolerate her in real life because she's impossible to live with and will be truly alone in later years. I just hope Jon will get primary custody of the boys at some point before they permanently become unfeeling, nonthinking robots. They do appear very disconnected and are just going through the motions in her house. I think all the kids are brainwashed by her to a certain degree and will only come into their own when they are finally living out of the house and away from her. Considering her divorce has been final for three years and she's still talking about dating (aside from whatever her relationship was or wasn't with Steve) she needs to stop milking the three year old divorce and move on now. It's not healthy. I don't believe any real celebrity would be interested in her and she should just accept that her options for dating are limited to local everyday men. She'd be lucky if any man would date her, not because of her kids, but because she's a delusional uptight greedy, fame seeking witch. I did catch the end sit down with Deanna (Kart's surrogate husband) and Kendra and Hank. I saw the dark evil eye pass over Kart's face when they were speaking to her. You can't hide evil.

Ingrid said...

I bet Kendra would have had a blast with Jamie instead of zombie Deanna. (but Jamie probably wouldn't have kept her mouth shut about the real things that happen there so she wouldn't be a good choice)

Kate has to put on a super friendly kind face around Deanna to keep her coming around for free babysitting and makeup.

The only reason Kate hasn't taken much time for herself is because she hasn't been jetting all over the country as much as she used to. She was gone plenty before.

should that be NY "TIMES"?

2. "Somewhere around 2011 the world watched Jon and I go through a divorce"

Around 2011? She doesn't even remember what year she and Jon got divorced? No wonder she can't get past it.

When they show Kate and the kids standing outside while Kate is introducing the kids, why is Leah barefoot?

Remember Pizzagate? Well, Kate is shown putting pancakes on one of the boy's plate, and she is picking them up and placing them there using HER BARE HANDS!!! What's even worse is she's holding a fork in the same hand she picked up the pancakes with-what was the fork for?

Tracey about killed herself with her anorexia.
Complete and total opposites in that one area.

I agree that the Gosselin kids will not have a chance at decision making when they are older cos they aren't allowed to make any decisions now and learn from their mistakes. Kate says that her kids are well behaved. Yeah, well behaved when their day is micro-managed down to the minute. When those rules are relaxed and they can act on their own, chaos erupts. I.E. the tacos. I thought Kate said that she did the lunches everyday. Another lie? Also,so much for the chore jar. I hope the Stir sees that she is full of herself just like CC did. I also think it would be a HUGE liability for any station to let Kate go into any home and turn any home into a boot camp like hers. Maybe she should have a show called How to take the Joy out of the life of your kids. And who locks a tree house???? Have a great day all.

I was unaware of this fact so I will recant my earlier statement that "it is still prostitution" and apologize.

If Kendra's boyfriend was the one who leaked the tape and her only option was to own it and at least get a cut then I say good on her.

Of course, it is a cautionary tale about filming yourself having sex at all. No matter how much you trust your partner there is no guarantee things will work out and something like that can certainly come back to haunt you.

What I really don't get is why anyone would tape themselves having sex in the first place. Really? Sex faces have to be some of the stupidest expressions in existence. :D

I didn't watch CWS, I scrolled through the guide but didn't see it listed. Besides it conflicted with NCIS and well, enough said.

I did skim through Kate's manual though and quickly got fed up with her usual self-serving drivel.

I agree with everyone who has said that her "limiting small choices" parenting will one day backfire. Maybe not on her because she will just claim that the kids 'didn't know how to help her be a good mom', but it most certainly will for those kids.

How on earth are they going to handle big choices and decisions if they never practice with small ones?

Is it really "all that drama" to let the kids decide for themselves where they want to sit at the dinner table? How about a first come first serve basis; you're early to the table, you get first pick, you're slow to the table, sorry...you snooze you lose.

And if it really is all that drama, how about letting the kids decide BEFOREHAND what veggies they want with their meals? Make Sunday afternoon a brain storming session for the week where everyone gets a say and work out a freaking plan.

I mean really Kate, aren't you the Mastermind Mommy, the great "overseer" of all?

Ridiculous. She sets herself up to be some kind of single mommy of 8 martyr when nothing could be further from the truth.

She's just a control freak with delusions of grandeur with an out of control ego fed by 6 even more delusional people who think it's ever so cool that she exploits her children to maintain a lifestyle she could never have had without them in the first place.

Mark my words, more than one of those kids is going to run, run like the wind, first chance they get.

How embarrassing Kate kept the younger children infantilized for so long. Amazing that it will be nearly only two years since they graduated to regular chairs. The bibs were thrown away sometimes between age 6-7, I believe. They were still using them way long past Kindergarten. I don’t understand why she treats them so differently from the older girls. She wanted more children, but she treats them like slaves! Collin and Joel looked so checked out, the blank looks at the kitchen table at breakfast. They look like they have given up and are just going through the motions. It breaks my heart.

The show never explained how Kate filled the gap of 9 hours everyday…she has FIVE days a week and she cannot be doing the same thing every day as some things like doctor appointments, school meetings/events will come up so no way she is doing the same single thing everyday. I think they removed her ‘part-time’ help to make for fake reality; trick the viewers to make it look like Kate does it all herself. I hated that she put down Kendra’ saying she is not being a mother and saying that she is less of a mother of her lifestyle and not doing housework. WHAT?!? She is a hypocrite because she has had help for the past 8 years. It makes no difference whether you have 1 or 8 children; everyone has different needs. If Kendra wants a nanny and a housekeeper, I wouldn’t care because that is her house and money to spend, not mine. Kendra never put down Hank Sr, Hank Jr or any of the Gosselin children. I could see that she has genuine feelings and concerns for other people. She was not worried about not getting her ‘me’ time or try to make it all about her. HUGE difference between Kate and Kendra.

Why was Deanna at the meeting? That was bizarre. What is her role, really? The hand-holder? It was obvious Kate was crying but at over what is what I’m wondering. Is she so jealous of Kendra that she has to throw her under the bus from the beginning of the show? She had nothing good to say about her unlike what she was saying on twitter.

I’m also puzzled at her obsession of doing the housework 50/50, structure, scheduled lifestyle and doing the family togetherness thing. The equal housework and family time was never her priority. She totally threw that out of nowhere…she LIVES for the time away from home and dumps everything else on other people to do and freaked when the family did projects—all she could do was think of the mess. I think she only picked on Hank because she was JEALOUS of Kendra having it easy and wanted to make it harder for Hank for some reason. I could see that she actually enjoyed it. She mentioned luxury so I knew right away she wanted that lifestyle but did not have the money to do so. What else could she do about it? Pick on Hank and Kendra! Notice she turns her face toward the camera when she laughs? I wanted to tell her to stop looking at the camera!

According to media stories (and photos) the kids were out of high chairs right after they turned seven. I'm not sure about the bibs, though. Did they ever give them up?

*****
I don't know about the bibs, but I do remember when they were still very young they were given these "spork" things to eat with - a spoon with short tines. Collin was trying desperately to
learn how to use it, and he was trying to eat his meal with it. The spoon was too big for his mouth and the tines didn't really stab anything. Poor child finally had to just pick up his food with his fingers.

I thought right then he had been set up for failure. My heart broke a little that day.

I don't know when they graduated to real forks and spoons. Do they get knives yet? For a long time they did not, IIRC.

I have to comment about the kids sitting in the same seats. Are people talking about seats on the BBB or sitting at the dinnter table? I come from a family of four kids. When we were growing up, we all sat in the same seats when we ate. I don't recall my mom telling us where to sit, but we all sat in the same seats at every meal. My kids were the same way. I didn't tell them where they had to sit but they sat in the same seats when they ate. My husband and I as well. We have an island in our kitchen that seats three and when my husband and I eat, we sit in the same seats we always sit in. My grandson's booster seat was in one of the seats and when we took it off he just automatically climbed into that seat. Even now when he wants something to eat he always climbs into the same chair. Even if he is the only one eating. He even climbs into that seat if he wants to play with playdoh or do an art project. It's just force of habit. It's the same way with my vehicle. I didn't watch the show or read the manual so I'm assuming (I know, one should never assume) that Kate demanded they sit in the same seat. She's still an ass.

As far as the tups being in high chairs, my grandson was never in one. As soon as he was eating food, we got a booster seat that had a removable tray and we strapped it to the chair and he ate with us. Once he started using utensils, we took the tray off and slid him right up to the table or the island. Was it messier, sure. But how else will he learn. As for the tups in the high chairs, how in the world did they fit into them up until the age of seven. There's not alot of room to get your legs through. Those chairs were made for toddlers. She's still a tool.

thanks Sheri for keeping an open mind on the subject. I also agree with you about the whole "don't even make a sex tape" concept. Apparently filming yourself having sex with your partner is a much more common occurrence these days than it ever was when I was young and single. (I did have a boyfriend who suggested doing such a thing, to which I firmly responded "never in a million years." I also have a friend who met a guy online a couple of years back, began a romance and eventually met up with him for a week-end which resulted in them sleeping together. It was only later that she learned he had rigged up the room ahead of time with not one, but two video cameras and taped their entire encounter! Apparently this scum got his jollies by secretly taping sex with women and then uploading the videos to sex sites.)

In this "everything makes it way to the internet" world we live in, people should be cautious about allowing themselves to be filmed or photographed doing anything they don't want the entire world to possible see.

sheri, 48...How on earth are they going to handle big choices and decisions if they never practice with small ones?

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

What concerns me is that in school the kids must make choices and decisions, no matter how small those choices may be. It's all a part of growing up and socialization, and with each grade level, those become more difficult but they are encouraged to take part in the decision-making process. Hopefully they are learning this at school. However, what a mixed message they get on the homefront when they are not allowed to make choices and are under the supervision of a control freak. Those kids are going to be so messed up that it's going to result in emotional and psychological problems in the not too distant future.

AussieGoldenLuv said...

Admin 199 said: "You can give a kid choices without REALLY giving them a choice, do WONDERS for helping a kid feel respected and learn to make decisions."

I have no kids, never wanted kids, don't naturally understand/relate to kids, but I've been working with the 2-3 yos at church every week for about 16 months now. I've discovered it's really like dog training (something I innately DO understand). You control behavior by controlling the environment, so the puppy can mostly make good choices on their own. You set them up for success. As they have success and gain competency, you then expand the environment. They also need to know what TO do rather than what NOT to do. The example of choices is excellent - great technique. I had huge improvement with one of my rambunctious kids when I stopped telling him "no, don't do that" and instead started giving him parameters of what he could do. It took a lot of thinking on my part on how to rephrase it sometimes, but it really had a positive effect. So I turned "don't stand on the table" into "I see you're standing on the table because you want to see the chart on the wall. You can't stand on the table because you may fall and hurt yourself, and I care about you so don't want that to happen. Would you like picked up so you can reach the chart? Can you ask me to do that?" I understand that at 3 they don't really get the whole picture, but I just keep repeating it and reinforcing the desired behaviors because over time it will sink in.

The other dog training technique is don't try to smother behavior - redirect it in an appropriate manner. If you have a beagle, rather than telling it not to dig, give it it's own corner of the yard or a sandbox, and let them focus their natural instincts where it won't do harm. So going back to my rambunctious kid above, I took his desire to throw everything and asked him to help me pick up toys by "throwing" them in the toy bucket.

What I thought was the weirdest about Kate's parenting advice is some of it was actually sound (turn the chore into fun game - which is what I did to redirect the kid above. But it doesn't jive with anything she's actually shown herself, in words (bogging & twitter) or in action (on TV).

The more I see of her the sorrier I feel for her. And the sorrier I am for her kids.

Now, to me, in my personal opinion, this is the kind of speculation that people find childish and unnecessary.

Especially when it's from Anonymous and no one is owning it.

Who really cares what Kate's sexual orientation is because it's certainly not relevant to the discussion of Kate exploiting her children.

Again, just my opinion.

I think you mean subconsciously! I wouldn't say that she HATES them. Hate is a very strong word. She seems to favor the girls over the boys, but hates them? Kate is the way she is, but to come out and say she hates her sons really is over the top.

I just read Kate's manual so disregard my above post. She's talking about a seating arrangement on the school bus. WTF! Are you kidding me. I hope the kids move to different seats once she's out of sight.

A couple of thoughts on her manual.

Cooking and Eating Habits: She says, "I don't have the option to simply run to the store for a carton of milk." She has said she didn't buy milk unless it was on sale so she wouldn't be running to the store to buy it anyway.

Daily Routine - Late Morning: She says she's always at the grocery store. She has said on several occasions that she is a very organized person. Well, if she was that organzied she wouldn't always be at the grocery store.

Daily Routine - Evening: She says one child has to wipe the stainless steel. These kids start doing chores as soon as they walk in the door. When the hell do they get the stainless steel dirty and why do they have to clean it. Also, one child has to clean the basement family room. Again, when do they have time to get it dirty. Holy cow. She also said that around 7:30/8:00 when "the littles" are in bed, Cara and Mady may be watching TV. I thought they didn't watch much TV. This woman can't keep her shit straight. What a PSYCHO! This has nothing to do with keeping the kids on a schedule and everything to do with Kate being in control. I'm surprised Kate didn't put in the manual what time the kids could go to the bathroom.

Kate could have had it too but she squandered every opportunity she was given.
Sadly, her children are paying the price.

Respomding to LB and to Capecodmama,

1) Kate had nothing to yell about with the Baskett family. Nothing. If anything, it was a dream world for her. But she had to come up with something negative to say. That's part of the show. So, she picked at nothing, making it a big ol' sore spot. She was grasping at straws, trying to make both the Basketts look like they just did not measure up to HER standards of HER fantasized superiority. After all, she's perfect, remember? Nobody can do anything better than Kate, even if she has to
dig in the barrel to find the issues to compare.

2) The tups were not in standard high chairs with the tray. They were elevated seats, much like you see in restaurants. But they were clearly past the need for them a long time ago. They were hovering over their food because they were so high up.

Once again playing catch-up! Before I forget, I was shocked to see how ?lumpy? KK looked at the couple table discussion at the end of the wife swap. Was it because she cried a lot at the table, which was edited out? Or was it botox moving around on her face? If she saw the rough cut of that meeting, it could be the reason she had more surgery, which was so obvious when she was on The View.

I thought it was interesting that KK was so harsh about how much Hank did for Kendra, when Jon did that much (x 8) for her. It seemed to me that subconsciously, she was seeing JON when she looked at Hank, and her comments reflected that.

I've only half way caught up w/the comments, so I'm sure someone else has already said all of this!

The one thing I really disliked about the show was how Kate kept on whining how she didn't have time for "me time". This from a woman who left her children to go run races in Chicago, SD, NY, and LV, plus that one local run.

Then when asked when "how long has it been since you've been in a club", she replies "maybe one time in my life". How quickly she forgets(on purpose). She went to a club in the NYC birthday episode, and less than a year ago she flew to LV with Steve to see Brad Garrett.

Then she also say "I can't really tell the last time I had dinner with a guy". What about all the times she was away with Steve, just this past year, and her Fig & Olive dinners with Jason?

So much of what she says in that episode is just plain BS, trying to make people sorry for her. Of course, the general public who don't really know her would believe her, but you'd think her devoted followers would think "Huh-that's not true"

They're all excited now because of the ratings believing now that it's a lock that Kate will get a show because of it. They believe that Kate was the reason for the ratings, not anyone else. What they don't realize is that one show with good ratings doesn't mean a thing in the long run. I sort of feel sorry for them, because I don't think any of their dreams will come true.

We don't know half of what they have been through. Lots of drama caused by their mothers' instability. Money just hasn't been enough, never enough for Kate. There is no doubt she envies Kendra's life, no doubt whatsoever.

Read this review from today.com, which really puts Kate in a bad light. An excerpt:

"At the end, Kendra admitted that she had "grown up so much" from the experience. "I took some advice from her, and I am taking that in," Kendra told us. The show also revealed that she's spending even more time with her little son now.

As for Kate? Her parting words at the table weren't about what she learned from the experience, but that she hoped Kendra took a few lessons with her.

Every show needs a good guy and bad guy, right?"

I will say that I did tune in to see Both the Hanks & the Gosselin 8. And now that my curiosity is piqued, I can say I didn't see anything worthy of more filming or a new show. Mady is morphing into Kate Jr, Cara is into her sports as always, and the other 6 were doing typical 8 year old stuff. I will say, clearly Hank is who Kate wanted Jon to be, and possibly could have been if she had just waited and enjoyed she & Jon being young newlyweds instead of fast forwarding to her white lawn chair throne lifestyle so fast.

Which means Kate couldn't even scrounge up one more friend of her own. Kendra had two friends take Kate out, plus, looked like there were several other friends at the Baskett house that evening.

********************

I know that you and your fellow posters like to take credit for getting the PA law changed, but that's not Rep. Murt's version of events.

"Legislation to reform Pennsylvania laws regulating children in the entertainment industry is waiting for Gov. Tom Corbett’s signature, and it all started when state Rep. Tom Murt watched a TV show. The program was about former child actors from the 1960s and ‘70s, including Paul Petersen, who played son Jeff Stone on “The Donna Reed Show.” Petersen is president and founder of A Minor Consideration, Kid Actors Past and Present, formed to give guidance to young performers.

Murt, R-152, took an interest in the horror stories and contacted Petersen. He asked him to look at Pennsylvania’s child labor code. Petersen told him “it’s not the worst in the country, but there’s a lot of room for improvement.”
Petersen put him in touch with Kevin and Jodi Kreider. Kevin Kreider is the brother of Kate Gosselin, star of “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” the then-reality TV show about a Pennsylvania couple and their eight children."

AussieGoldenLuv = really liked your comments about how to kindly control and re-direct children into the behaviors you want, and help them make good choices.

Absolutely agree -- set them up to succeed! Help them to make good choices and it will become a habit :) I remember reading a parenting book years ago that also said to tell your child what to do, rather than what not to do.

Unfortunately, Kate will never do this kind of parenting. For her, it's all about control, micro-managing, and looking for faults. I don't know that she hates her boys, but she does not really like them and has always considered them "yucky" and less appealing than her girl children. I don't know if she just dislikes males on some very basic level, but the boys always got the worse of it. Remember that birthday episode where they went to a cupcake place and made their own cupcakes. They took them home and then at dinner, because they didn't eat to Kate's requirements, were told they would not be allowed to have their birthday cupcakes. However, the girls were allowed to eat theirs - in front of the boys!

That was downright cruel. It showed me that Kate took pleasure in causing them pain. It was twisted. What mother takes away her child's birthday treat, that they made themselves, just because they didn't eat everything on their plate? Answer: A truly vile one - aka Kate Krieder. (No matter what you think of Kendra - can you imagine her doing something like that to Hank, Jr.?)

Wah, Wah. But it turns out she really does want a husband, but now it's too late.

Perhaps this has been addressed, but the more I reflect on the CWS show last night, the more convinced I am Kate may net a show out of this. Rating mean profits, and ABC got the ratings last night. Why did people tune in? I think there is curiosity about Kate and how she has further morphed herself from a mother of 8 to a Hollywood wannabe, and I really don't think she is fooling too many people. She wants fame so badly it is palatable, she is desperate to get it all back.

The network may have used the dinner with Hank to test the waters for a dating show for Kate. It fed right in to Kate's storyline of wanting
to find someone, for the sake of her kids of course!

The only reason Kate is a "hands on" "stay at home mom" is because she can't afford her help anymore, she has no job and no place to go to. No one wants to give her any gigs, so therefore she is stuck at home in her mansion with her robot children.

Has Kate mentioned Jamie at all or posted pictures since the RV fiasco? I thought Jamie was her BFF. Has Deanna taken over the role of her best friend?

*******

Jamie is still in the picture. She drives down from Michigan when Kate needs deep cleaning done at the house. Kate posted a picture of
Jamie S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G to get the grease and dirt off Kate's stove hood. I don't know how to link to it for you. Someone does.

I bet Kendra would have had a blast with Jamie instead of zombie Deanna. (but Jamie probably wouldn't have kept her mouth shut about
the real things that happen there so she wouldn't be a good choice)

I was thinking the exact same thing about Ashley. Plus, the kids know and love Ashley and probably would have relaxed at least a bit.

She's just a control freak with delusions of grandeur with an out of control ego fed by 6 even more delusional people who think it's ever
so cool that she exploits her children to maintain a lifestyle she could never have had without them in the first place. 48

AMEN. Great description of killjoy katie.

I did not watch - I find the entire concept of swapping spouses disgusting, never mind what it may do to the children involved, Additionally, I cannot stand kk. I did see a picture of the shirt she wore on The View. That was more than enough.

Kendra owns her past and Hank must be aware of it. I'm glad that she and Hank have a strong marriage and an adorable and clearly loved son.

After reading the descriptions and comments here my heart is breaking or the G children. As much as kk clearly hates it, I am so glad they have their father in their lives.

Did anyone else think it was out of place for Kate to tell Kendra that Hank Jr needs to have chores? She had no right to do that when her own children did not have chores at that age. Mady stated they started when the tups were 5 years old. At 2-3 years old, I was not that concerned about getying chores assigned or drilled it into someone's head that it had to happen right at that age. I was more focused on meeting my family's needs than making sure someone was 'pulling his share' around the house. I think that should have benn left up to Hank and Kendra to make these decisons.

Also it was lame of Kate to call KendrA irresponible. Kendra, herself, said the Gosselin children had too much responsiblity, too many chores asdigned to them and she was crying about them working like slaves because she wanted them to be kids, not running the house by themselves. If it's too much for Jate, then all by means, hire a housekeeper to take the load off the kids.

"I understand that Gosselin has to make a living, but treating her children like a commodity is inexcusable. Any semblance of normalcy for the children was surrendered long ago. This latest stunt is sure to lead all of them to the therapist’s couch at some point in their over-exposed young lives."

Nice try, but I happen to know for a fact that the posters on various blogs (PLURAL) in addition to threads aimed at the need for changes in PA child labor laws, did, in fact, play a part in getting the ball rolling on the need for rewriting the antiquated laws.

I even remember people posting here so encouraged that Murt had personally wrote then or even called them. Any worries he might just be doing this for publicity were eased when we saw how sincere he was. If anything the idea that he noticed something wrong with what he saw on TV on his own gives him even more credibility because that suggests this is something he sincerely believed to be a problem and not something he just got behind to appease some vocal constituents. He believed there was a problem first himself and that speaks volumes. We weren't crazy. Murt saw what we saw.

The segment of the show posted on here that I was able to stomach before I gave up was the most boring stuff of any kate has done in her "career in the business". And someone should explain to Mady that when there is an adult in charge, 'she' is not the mother and does not need to be the one telling the tups what to do or not do, and also when to shut her smart mouth. The comments she made to Kendra, more often than not, were inappropriate coming from a 12 yr old to an adult who was in charge. This show was NOT funny OR entertaining on either end and the eye rolling looks from all the adults involved were ridiculous. Still don't understand how kate qualified for a show entitled 'Celebrity Wife Swap' in any way.

As far as Kate getting her own show, I don't really think it will happen. Ideas can be pitched from now until the kids are out of the house but they've got to be able to get sponsors and the show would have to get great reviews from focus groups. One night of decent ratings does not a career make.

No way? What a strange thing to say! The way KK lies, there are a jillion ways she could have the kids for a solid week, and Jon have them the next week. We DO know that she forced the children to keep their mouths shut, and say nothing to anyone, including their father. I can think of four or five ways she could pull it off, without even trying, and I have no doubt that KK, the lying liar who lies, could think of double that in the blink of an eye!!

Well that's silly. Plenty of parents with joint custody don't even speak to each other much less tell the other parent anything that is going on. It also can be arranged in a multitude of different ways and it's also quite common for one parent to say hey I have this going on could I keep the kids for an extra day this week and we'll make it up later? As in happens every day.

Was it really more than a week? I got the impression from the tweets it was more like 5 days of filming, which is the standard time frame for most one hour episodes. They make it seem like it's often much longer than it really is.

What I really would like to see is for her live in an Amish home for a week...not necessarily trade places with an Amish woman, but just to be there and see what a parent goes through with eight kids, all different ages at home, with no electricity, no washing machines, dryers, meat slicers, bread machines, French yogurt makers, pink iPhones, three cars, and so on. I'd like to see her hang clothes on the washlines that extend from the house to the barn, get up at 4 a.m. to help milk the cows, do the daily baking, and canning, putting up jellies, have breakfast on the table for nine people, and NOT go back to bed. She then would have to stop the daily work at noon to cook a hot dinner (dinner is at noon) for her husband, and then go back to housework, making sure that supper is on the table when he comes in.

No television, no tweeting, just kids crawling around in cloth diapers. Rugs dirty? No vacuum cleaner -- she'd take the rugs outside to beat them, and she'd take her bath by heating water over the coal stove, and then bathing right there in the kitchen. Can't you see her, in the middle of the night in zero degree temperature, going to the outhouse, or using the chamber pot under the bed (and then having to empty all of them in the morning)?

Yes, that's one show I would watch, although she'd never make it through the first day.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I also don't think much will come of this. Look at the Network lineups. Remember those awful days of writer's strikes and cheap executives where every night was some different god awful reality show? Now when it comes to reality we mostly see competitions shows and scant small offers like this one. There really aren't much slots available. Most of the reality shows that hold those slots have been around for years and Kate isn't elligibel for--Biggest loser, the music shows, Survivor, celeb apprentice which I doubt she'll ever be on, etc.

You can find reality more her style buried on cable somewhere but they really are losing their novelty too. Even most of that is now competition shows like all these model/decorating things. Thank god, it's all about scripted TV now. Networks are looking for the next big addictive melodrama to fill their slots, not reality. This doesn't bode well for Kate. As someone else said, too bad so sad. NOT! I think, finally, reality is on the way out. It is only going to get worse for her. A few of the major really good reality shows will probably stick around for awhile, like Amazing Race, but everything else is going away. Finally!

sheri, 48...How on earth are they going to handle big choices and decisions if they never practice with small ones?

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

****************************************
Not learning how to make decisions could also lead to an inability to make decisions, which for some people can be debilitating.

Just wanted to make one point about Kate swapping with Kendra. On all other episodes of Swapping Wives, the children are left with their father. So although they are left to deal with a strange mother, at least they have one parent to help them deal with it.

In Kate's situation, they had nobody! I'm not counting Deanna. It's sad they had to deal with this situation without their Dad to help them.

That's why I think this was especially cruel to Kate's children.

I've been thinking about the way KK doesn't allow the children to make the slightest decision about anything, and the harm it does to the children...not only now, but how it could harm them in the future. I agree that her ironclad control of the children down to every minute of the day is a bad thing for the children. However, they aren't under her control 24/7 any more. The children go to school, where they treated as 'normal' children. They have their time with Jon, where they ARE allowed to be kids...something that has been seen by a poster on this blog. I loved Kendra for crying that the children had so much work to do and no time to be kids.

I believe the children have those blank faces, and robotic behavior ONLY when they are with their mother. They've learned the only way to get through their time with her is to just turn off feelings and be the little slaves she has forced them to be. Abused children learn to adapt in order to survive. It breaks your heart that they have to behave that way when with their mother, but they DO know that they can behave as 'normal' children when they're not with the abuser!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

MJ yes I see that the point being it's not like Kendra is sitting around tanning and getting her nails done and all Hank does is pamper her. She pulls her weight when it comes to supporting the family. If anything it's more compelling that Hank works because she COULD just sit around and let him support them, but she steps up to do her part too. And how does Kate know Hank isn't similarly pampered by Kendra? It goes both ways.

She's jealous it's so obvious.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The same thing happened giving Kate credit for the ratings on DWTS.

It was all because of Kate and not because of Erin with her large sports following, Aiden with his large soap opera following and/or Pam with whatever you want to call her following. All those people draw huge ratings.

I don't doubt people tuned in for Kate but I also think a lot of people tuned in to see many others. It wasn't a throw away season, they had some decent talent that year and people tuned in. But of course for some reason Kate happily takes the credit.

fidosmommy said...

Children learn what they observe. There is an entire wall hanging about it available somewhere. Parents can TELL their kids A, B and C, but if the parents actually DO R, S and T instead, guess which one the kids will pick up? Kate is rude and as much as she tells her kids publicly to be nice, they have picked up her rude manner. She may tell them not to roll their eyes, but every time she rolls her own eyes, she's saying that it is acceptable.

I'm sure the school has taught them much better, and I'm willing to bet that at school these kids are polite to their teachers. In their own home to guests, they may need some work. Or maybe it was just because the cameras were there that they decided to rude it up a little. Who knows?

All I know is that if I ever spoke rudely to any adult, my mother would have been quickly happying me up.

Also, did anyone notice in her manual that the kids have chores to do right when they get home AND after dinner? That's ridiculous.

Why can't they have a small snack and do their homework, then get washed up for dinner, eat, do some age appropriate chores, then have some down time before the MARCH TO THE SHOWERS AND THEN BED AT 7:30 THANK GOODNESS.

Why does she care? I doubt she thought that her putting the kids through the pre-kindergarten program essentially holding them back was anyone's business. Would she want someone telling her she can't do that? People are welcome to state their opinion about education that happens all the time and we SHOULD discuss education, but it's quite another matter to tell an individual parent what they should do with their child's education.

**********************************

Did you read Kendra's household manual? She pretty much describes herself as a pampered princess who spends most of her time playing while Hank and the housekeeper shoulder most of the responsibility for the household. That's not Kate's misguided perception based on jealousy, it's Kendra's own description of herself. For example:

"My role is to be a princess and enjoy life. Our nanny, Rosa, takes care of everything else. She cooks, cleans, does the grocery shopping and takes care of Little Hank...My only daily responsibility is to take Little Hank to and from preschool, but sometimes Rosa or Hank will take care of it for me. Outside of those tasks, I spend most of my time doing physical activities and hanging out with my friends."

"I'm not much of a morning person, but my husband Hank is. He gets up every day at 6am to go to work and will be there until about 2:30pm. Our nanny, Rosa, meets Hank at the door and he hands off the baby monitor, then Rosa waits for Little Hank to wake up. She takes over as soon as Hank leaves.

I'll slowly wake up at 7:30am (or later, depending on how late I've been out the night before)."

Interesting, since from all the projects she has done, including her current project, we know for a fact she works and works hard and works a lot.

I'm glad she perceives her life as very relaxed and carefree. I think everyone who works should feel that way. I'm guessing that just means you're happy with your job if that's how you view things. Or that you're basically an optimistic person. Or that you don't spend your time obsessing over how much work you're actually doing. With Kate you would think she's a first year associate trying to bill 4,000 hours the way she talks when she works. The drama.

I don't know why Greenies haven't been banned! Can you imagine if a baby toy did that? When you start personally knowing people whose pets have died it's an issue.

Tweet-le - deer antlers are becoming more popular and a lot of pet stores are starting to carry them. Our local feed store carries them in a variety of sizes from tiny to extra large. They're not cheap but they last a really long time and I've got a strong chewer. The good thing with them is there are never any sharp edges or big chinks to swallow. As they chew the antler crumbles and since it's calcium it's good for them. You can also get them on Amazon.

It's not a perception. It's just a fact. Go look at IMDB. She's done no less than 49 public appearances in the relative short time since she's been famous. She's been an actor in six different projects. She has played herself in her reality show for countless more episodes, as well as three other reality shows including DWTS. She even has production credits including producer and executive producer.

How did all those credits get on there? Magic? She must have worked at some point!

fidosmommy 130--from both Kate's and Kendra's tweets at the time, it looked liked they filmed from Oct.16-20. On the 16th Kate tweeted she was working on a fun project, and Kendra tweeted that she arrived at her hotel in Philly. On the 20th, Kate tweeted that she was home-Kendra tweeted that she was home on the 21st.

They must have done the round table filming on the 20th.

So tops, it was 5 days of filming.

I don't see how you can get the budget for a 44 minute episode that requires a production schedule longer than five days. Look it up, five days is as standard as apple pie when it comes to one hour episodes. Half hour episodes also get five days with filming live on Friday nights. You're told get it done in five days or you can't do it. If it's not Jon's time it seems pretty easy to me to hide just five measly from him. Plus, the kids weren't part of the round table were they, so they could have gone to Jon's then him none the wiser, making it only four days.

Many of those credits are not recent, so you can't use those to say she's the one supporting her husband and therefore deserves to be a self-described pampered princess. While she was filming some of those, her husband was getting slammed around on a football field, so it's not as if he were slacking for years while she worked her ass off.

I have nothing against Kendra. She seems like a sweet person, but by her own admission is not a very involved parent, not because she is busy working because she is busy playing. As often happens around here, she is being idealized because she is viewed as the polar opposite of Kate, and that gets her a free pass.

I never said she deserves to be pampered. I think it's a little silly. I just said it's not as if she's contributed NOTHING to this marriage and sits around doing nothing all day. With all those credits to her name, including a CURRENT T.V. series, she is hardly not contributing.

In any case, I think this couple should do what works for THEM. No that's not how I'd want a relationship to go for me personally, but heck if I care if that's what another couple wants. If that means Hank wants to pamper her why should Kate get to say he can't? He's a grown man. If he doesn't want to pamper her he doesn't have to. None of Kate's business. The point being it was very judgmental and rude for Kate to question it, although in fairness, I'm sure she was encouraged to speak her mind. Kendra and Hank were kind and polite letting her criticize them and taking it to heart. She didn't deserve such patience. She deserved a big "you don't know what you're talking about, butt OUT and F-U."

I totally agree that if it works for them, that's all that matters. And I'm sure you're right that Kate was encouraged to speak her mind. She's not a diplomatic person and doesn't know how to couch things in the most appropriate manner. Kendra was equally opinionated about Kate's over-regimented household, but her tone was more palatable. Plus, you don't want her to butt out because you agree with her!

Since the whole show revolves around people butting into each others' lives, once you sign on to do that you kind of lose the right to tell people to butt out.

Yes. Many people have been on these shows and talked about other's faults or perceived faults in a way that is respectful and not antagonistic and they've even done it without the eye rolling. And many people have done it Kate's way. I don't like it Kate's way, I don't get entertainment value out of it, and it is a big reason I hate most reality shows. I don't find jerks interesting. Moreover, we've seen that this is how she is on her own reality show and twitter too, just basically a nasty person and not enjoyable. The whole thing is sad. She has no friends because of her own behavior, not because she has eight kids.

My son was in nursery school 3 mornings a week starting at age 3. This helped to build his social skills, sharing, playing with kids his own age, etc. All the children were so excited about learning new songs, the Easter Bunny visiting, Santa Clause visiting, birthday cupcakes you name it. They would visit a nursing home across the parking lot and sing for the residents. I thoroughly believe in pre-school for small children. The tups are nearly nine and in second grade. So how can Kate say something nasty about little Hank's education.

If anything most of us here thought Kate was doing a dating show in L.A. without the kids and the fact that she was spotted in a club, no kids. We thought it was some kind of dating pilot.

The Kendra thing kind of threw us off since that's not the logical path the tweets were leading us. We were like whoa wait all this was when the kids were back at home? If you look at the comments many of us even regulars were saying they simply did not believe the Wife Swap story.

If we were shocked and in disbelief why wouldn't Jon be? Where is the evidence the kids DO tell him anything? We don't have evidence either way because he's been so quiet lately.

Anonymous Marie, I think it is unrealistic to believe that Jon knew. I remember the tweet hints that KK dropped. Never once did she even vaguely hint that the children were involved. It is unrealistic to think that all the kids, and especially Cara and Mady haven't learned to keep their mouths shut about what is going on. They had that drummed into their heads for YEARS when the show was on. Don't think for one second that those children haven't been keeping secrets for years...ESPECIALLY when KK orders them to say nothing!

Interesting to note that the kids didn't appear to interact with Deanna particularly. Not like how you would expect them to interact if it was a person that they knew.

So funny, the bachelor character is a fireman, and he gave the women he wanted to stay a statute of a firehose. ”Titi, will you accept this hose?” Ken Jeong, the actor from The Hangover and Community, played one of the female contestants, he was really funny.
Yes,.the parody of a done to death reality show is much more entertaining than the actual reality show.

Just some thoughts after watching the show on my computer tonight.

Kate didn't say that she didn't have help, she said she didn't have full time help.

She didn't say she did all the household work, she said she oversees it.

Why didn't Deanna introduce the kids? Do you think she knows which is which?

Wonder why all the little girls were in such a small bedroom?

What does Kate mean she can't remember the last time she had dinner with a man? What about Steve? Also, does she mean she never went out to a club every time she was away from the kids doing runs?

They kept showing the same little segments over and over again, considering they filmed for a week, there was very little to see. They must have edited out a lot!

Do you really think it was Kendra's idea to eat tacos on the floor with flimsy paper plates or to call an ice-cream truck or lets go to the the Fun Center because we will be the only ones there? This was so not real!!! I can't picture Kendra going through the phone book and setting these things up herself.

Where is Robert?
