Kate scheduled to travel to Las Vegas and Bermuda this month

Kate will make a lot of memories in the new year--but without the kids

Coupon Cabin confirmed that Kate will attend a marketing conference in Las Vegas this weekend. And the next weekend, she's off to get some sun in Bermuda to support a charity about premature birth awareness. Freebies? Sign her up! Here is the press release:

The Diamonds & Caviar Gala
Bermuda (Syncairly Yours Foundation) January 4, 2012- Syncairly Yours Foundation will be hosting their first Diamonds & Caviar Gala to raise awareness about mothers and families affected by premature childbirth at the Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Bermuda.

The founder of Diamonds & Caviar, Molessia Joynes, was inspired by the survival story of her grandson, Syncair Smith, (now 13 months old) who overcame the trauma of premature birth thanks to the selfless intervention of hospital staff, friends and family members. Her family is also struggling with the extraordinary medical costs of more than $1 million that resulted from the uninsured status of Syncair's mother.

January 13th-16th, 2012, celebrities will unite to support a cause very dear to their hearts in a celebration of giving back, embracing new life, and spreading global awareness about the rise and increase in the problematic influx of premature births and its affects.

Diamonds & Caviar embodies the idea that a luxury experience can be the catalyst that connects the finer things in life with the realities of shared sacrifice that are required to achieve a common objective. Participants are encouraged to use the event to network, exchange ideas and promote further collaboration.

The first celebrity to embrace this vision was the International Entertainment Mogul Qadree El- Amin. As a former manager for global superstars such as Michael Jackson, Vanessa Williams, Boyz II Men, and Janet Jackson, he has recruited a team of celebrities to attend the event and ensure that the message is well received by their industry counterparts.

A list of “who’s who” will be in attendance at this much anticipated event of the New Year. Diamonds & Caviar will be a private event where celebs lend their talents and support to shed great light on a worthy cause. Invited guest include Health Advocate news and legal correspondent Star Jones, Emmy Nominated co-host of the award winning talk show The Doctors, Dr. Lisa Masterson, Humanitarian, Holly Robinson Peete, Kate Gosselin from Kate Plus 8, actor, Hawthorne’s Vanessa Calloway, The Game’s Wendy Raquel Robinson, VH1’s Baseball Wives Anna Benson, Our Family Wedding’s Lance Gross, The Heart Specialist’s Brian White, from the Temptations actor Leon, legendary musician Teddy Riley, Macy Gray, Marvin Gay meets Miles Davis’ Johnny Britt, Grammy Nominated singer/songwriter, humanitarian, and younger sister to Wyclef Jean; Melky Jean, X Factor’s Stacy Francis, Nuwamba, Salt N’ Pepa, Tony Terry, and many more.

This is the average DAILY rate for the Newstead/Belmont Hills Hotel for 2 adults Jan 13th to 16th. Not including airfare, meals and other expenses. How are they making money off of this at $1,000 a plate.

Deluxe Room USD 355.00
Studio Deluxe USD 373.00
One Bedroom Suite USD 468.00
Two Bedroom Suite USD 657.00
Three bedroom Suite USD 751.00

I can't imagine Kate would expect/accept anything less than the one bedroom suite, even tho she is there to support their charity.

$$$$$$$$$$$

Don't worry, She's, they know exactly what they are doing, and making money for the "charity" isn't it.

Also, I kind of think that Kate's real motivation for going isn't to support any charity, unless Kate counts as a "charity".

Kate isn't exactly known for her good works.

Milo is obsessed and views herself as Guardian of All Things Kate, but I don't think she's dangerous.

+++++++

She seems to be fine as long as Kate hasn't blocked her, and is still responding to her, even if it's just one word. BUT...let Kate shut her out completely, and it could be very dangerous.

I just wonder where this upstart charity has the funds for expenses like airfares and hotels - the hotel may extend them credit or comps but airlines? For the long list of celebs that they have listed, I imagine there would have to be a whole lot of $1,000/plate dinners being paid for; I imagine not a whole lot of 'awareness' money will be left after expenses. Boondoggle.

I live in Pennsylvania and about a week or so before the new BBB story broke I saw a Mercedes BBB gassing up at a turnpike exit about 150 miles west of Kate. I tried to comment here on it but it didn't go through.

###############

I drive that route quite often and that would put the car in the vicinity of Bedford. So you are saying that you knew about the Mercedes a week or so before the story broke, and you saw the car on the turnpike 150 miles west of Kate and thought that it was being delivered to Kate? What made you suspect that it might be Kate's car, or that it was just then being delivered to her?
I'm missing something here!

Interesting article, She is a Cow, thanks for finding that.

It sure doesn't say a lot about the actual "gala." It's a thousand bucks a plate, so does that mean invited guests (such as Kate) also pay the thousand dollars a plate? I would think it would be pretty gross and insulting if she didn't, but on the other hand, this IS Kate Gosselin we're talking about. She considers HERSELF a charity, not the other way around.

So is she paying to fly herself out there, or is the organization paying? Are they paying for her hotel room?

On the one hand, you'd think any "celebrities" they invite would pay their own way as a way of defraying costs from the CHARITABLE organization, right?

On the other hand, Kate does NOT pay her own way, period. I feel very confident stating it that absolutely. She doesn't. Hell, when they walked around with a big wagon full of presents for kids in St. Jude's, TLC bought the presents and she was getting PAID to film the episode!

Ditto the food bank.

No one has ever witnessed Kate Gosselin actually digging into her own pocket to pay for her OWN way, much less to support someone else.

I'm confused here. If this is the same BBB but with a "modification" to make it look like a Mercedes, what the heck is the purpose of that, other than LOOK AT ME I DRIVE A MERCEDES.

And good Lord, when she auctioned off that pink scooter for the Ronald McDonald house, it had been GIVEN to her.

She's well known for taking her kids' old clothes to a consignment shop for some cash after they are done with them (and back in the day, these were all donated clothes!!!) instead of giving them to Goodwill or another charity who could use them.

This just ISN'T a charitable person, in any definition of the word. Not in spirit or deed or word. In her mind, showing up is probably how she will grace this charity--with the gift of her PRESENCE. And then she'll toodle off to the beach with her paid companion. Because GOD, she needs a BREAK from these eight KIDS she wanted so much, she's SO exhausted all the time!
(Note the last tweet last night: she's too tired for words again!)

Here's a post I did back in March on Kate's "charitable" heart when they were talking about re-tooling Kate Plus 8 to be a giving back show. Remember that? That lasted all of an episode before viewers got bored and they dropped that subject. LOL.

Thanks for posting the article, She's. It sounds like there may be some legitimacy to this event, but only time will tell. As many of you have said, if they have to comp the airfare, hotels and meals then it's not clear how much money they will raise.

I guess the thing that stands out as out of place for me is why her daughter was airlifted to Canada? Isn't Florida closer? Or, because she had no insurance and wasn't a U.S. citizen, no Florida hospital would take her? It would be nice if they clarified that.

I'm surprised that they haven't invited the Duggars, given Josie's premature birth and Michelle's recent miscarriage. This seems like an event right up their alley. Or maybe TLC won't let them do it.

Dallas Lady said...

I take it back, I guess she won't be toddling off to the beach in Bermuda in January:

Winters are mild and windy, with average daytime temperatures in January and February around 20 °C (68 °F), although cold fronts bring Arctic air masses that can result in rapid temperature drops. Atlantic winter storms, often associated with these cold fronts, can produce powerful, gusting winds and heavy rain. Factoring in the wind chill, the felt air temperature in winter can fall below freezing, 0 °C (32 °F), even though the actual temperature rarely drops below 10 °C (50 °F).

Doesn't really sound like lying on the beach in a two-piece weather. Walking on the beach in pants and a light jacket or shirt, sure.

Oh well, Kate, gotta take these escapes from the orphanage where you can get them, huh?

This newest tweet about where the kids HAVE to sit in the new Mercedes bus is bizarre, but I guess it's indicative of her controlling nature.

The boys all have to sit in the very back.

M&C sit in the middle.

The girls sit in the front.

So the yucky boys are as far from Kate as possible. But my other question is, what if a kid wants to sit next to a different kid? What if, say, one of the younger girls is really close to one of her brothers? And they were having a fine time at home playing and then they're barked at to pile into the bus because they're going somewhere and Kate can't avoid taking them (so they'll sit in the bus while she goes in where ever it is), and the boy and girl want to sit next to each other?

No? Just shit out of luck? I was quite close to my brother--granted, there were only two of us, thank God--and we loved playing made up games in the car (when we weren't fighting!).

Just seems odd that they can't even make a simple decision like where to sit in a vehicle at the ages of 7 and 11. Everything she does is for HER own convenience, not to encourage their independence. Yes, she'd have disagreements among them if two kids wanted to sit in the same spot, but that's how kids LEARN TO SETTLE DISAGREEMENTS! They have to HAVE them in order to figure out how to overcome them. If every little decision is made for them, they grow up with this learned helplessness, kids who can't make a decision and don't know how to deal with disagreements.

She's so lazy.

PJ's momma said...

Do any of her sheeple have a couple grand lying around and someone to watch their kids for a week so they can 'kruise with Kate?" I actually laughed at this!

librarylady said...

I guess I would wonder exactly where any possible money that would be made at such an event would go - is the purpose of this to give assistance of any raised funds *only* to this family, the grandmother/promoter who apparently came up with this idea? Not that a truly burdened family wouldn't be deserving it, but I would want more information.

Truly giving celebs generally donate their time and money. Don't see Kate doing that. One of the other "invitees" also has this event listed as one of his "tour stops", which doesn't come across well.

It still sounds odd. Something just doesn't sit right. Maybe it's a cultural difference in the approach to it and I just don't understand it.

Admin, I don't think it is a joke. It's right on her website. And not even in the right place, under coming events, but on a sidebar. This'll be good - to see if there are enough takers to keep it going or if they pull it. I don't think she gets the whole ship - they probably offered her a free trip to try to sell some more cabins. Of course, she has not said a word promoting it, just like she does not promote her employer in any interview or on twitter.

Note: In the event that Kate Gosselin is unable to travel and/or attend scheduled functions for reasons beyond the control of Alice Travel, Alice Travel will not be liable, and no refunds for such inability to travel or attend functions and events will be owed by Alice Travel. And then here's the list of extras, which made me bust a gut laughing:

I had exactly the opposite reaction to the article. To me, it reads like a puff-piece written by a local paper desperate for stories. No hard questions, tugs at the heartstrings, and no real factual content.

It reads to me like a local, human-interest, puff piece.

This bogus-looking "charity" isn't even claiming to DO anything about prematurity, it's just claiming to raise "awareness".

Please, just tell me who and where, globally, people aren't aware of the problems posed by premature birth?

librarylady said...

It's common for low level celebs to do this, especially has-been soap stars. I think this company is known for putting these kinds of things together. Paula Deen does them, too. I don't think they really gain much in the public eye for these people.

Even our local radio personalities do this. They get a free trip and they admit it outright.

PJ's momma said...

Dallas Lady, I was just cruising her pathetic website to see if she'd posted anything, and it's on there. I didn't look that much at the extras - those are hysterical! Not a single thing extra that wouldn't already be on a cruise, except that Kate will be there and one dinner is called a charity dinner. Want to go on an excursion with Kate? Be ready to pay up, and at cruise ship prices too! I've been on a couple of cruises and am not a fan, but one was at that time of year and there was a hurricane hot on our heels. We managed to stay the course but you should have seen the airport when we got to Ft. Lauderdale, because some ships turned back and everyone had to get home early. It was a madhouse and we vowed never again.

silimom said...

Re: House swapping - Once Kate got the house when the divorce was finalized there was no way she'd swap with Jon, and to some extent I get that. I don't know that I would have been all that comfortable with my husband's ex and her new guy coming into our home every other week (he got the house in their divorce), not because I don't like her - we get along pretty well - but because it blurs the boundaries. I realize that sounds selfish but as my husband says "It was her choice to leave. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I've moved on and made a new life and this is our home now."

No, it's not fair for kids to have to shuttle back and forth, but parents should consider that before they decide to divorce. I'm talking about the people who divorce casually, because they're feeling unfulfilled or because they mistakenly believe marriage shouldn't be "work", or because their spouse wants to quit filming their reality show and they're not ready to give up the fame and perks, etc.

I'm sorry for the rant. And I didn't mean to offend anyone. I think there are valid reasons to divorce but I just also feel many people abuse it. I guess I'm just a middle aged fuddy duddy. :-)

librarylady said...

Above - with the Paula Deen comment - sorry, I was speaking of the cruise...

Dallas Lady said...

Nevermind, I see it's a sidebar thing on her lame website.

So you'd THINK she'd be chatting this up on Twitter. I mean, most people need TIME to get together those kinds of funds and request the time off work (Kate doesn't know what work is).

Also, that cruise actually sounds quite kid friendly:

hop onto a classic, full-sized carousel in the Boardwalk neighborhood, spend some quiet time in our adults-only Solarium, and let the kids' imaginations run wild in the Youth Zone - the largest dedicated youth area at sea. Jump right into the Pool Zone, where you'll find cantilevered whirlpools, FlowRiders® and a thrilling zip-line view of the ship and sea below.

and:

favorite moments with Shrek, Po the Panda, and more friends in the Dream Works experience.

So I thought, "Is she taking her kids?" And then I immediately laughed. Of course not!

Also, August 12-19? Around here, most school districts are back in session by that time, at least by the end of that week. Though I know some parents take their kids out of school for trips, no one wants their kids to miss the first day of school.

You nailed it, Admin. Also, you have the opportunity to select different "Mercedes" options, at Mercedes prices.

Lots of car makers double-badge, especially now that there's so been so much collaboration for financial reasons. It's not a lot different from offering three trim lines, all really based on one model, with different names for the vehicles based on the trim.

I was really surprised, years ago, to learn that the Madza (I think) mini-SUV I was looking at was actually made by Ford (I think). The Madza option was for buyers like me who were wary of Ford quality. The Mazda cost more, but it was the same vehicle, except for the option packages.

I didn't buy it. I need a reason to buy something, not the right badge on the front.

Dallas Lady said...

Cheapest rate for this cruise is a 179 square foot room for $1900 per person. (That rate only applies if you have two people in that room. Single occupancy rates are typically higher.)

So $3800 is the cheapest rate you're going to get for two people to go on this cruise, and that doesn't include airfare to and from Ft. Lauderdale.

Honestly, I don't think most people out there with the time and the funds to do something like this are going to want to hang around with a miserable drip like Kate Gosselin. Her fans who WOULD do it probably don't have the time and/or the money to do so.

This is something her publicist cooked up with this Alice Travel to see who bites, if anyone. Again, note there is a disclaimer that Kate MIGHT not be able to travel on this cruise, so you could plunk down your money and she's not even there. I imagine she wanted an out if the numbers were too low.

Boy, she's getting pretty desperate, huh? Now she's apparently willing to be stuck on a boat with her fans in the middle of the Caribbean. Of course, she'd bail on about half to 75% of those events and probably use Steve to keep people away from her most of the cruise. And a commission would go to Alice Travel, the cruise line would get a piece of course, and her publicist would get her commission and then the rest goes to Kate. I told y'all: she's her own charity!

dumb as hammers said...

She almost certainly won't make any money if she goes on this cruise, but she WILL get a FREE TRIP AWAY FROM HER CHILDREN.

Love the disclaimer (Dallas Lady said... 20 ) that says that anyone who books the cruise hoping to see Kate is out of luck if Kate doesn't show.

I wonder if this cruise is a substitute for the fan gathering that Kate committed to months ago and which has seldom been heard of since. This way, she would at least get something out of meeting her "fans." And after all, isn't that the only thing that matters to Katie?

Unfortunately, I think the vast majority of the sheeple are not likely to be able to take advantage of this rather pricey "meet 'n' greet." And if the sheeple don't sign up, who will?

Really, Kate: Tacky, tacky, tacky!

librarylady said...

Oh, they'll get the numbers for such a cruise, there are enough weird people out there to do this. They don't necessarily need to fill the whole ship. Usually there are a certain number of spots reserved and then the rest can be regular cruisers.

One my coworkers goes on a soap "star" cruise every year (and she has no money but does use her kids disability money and child support for it, she admits it) and every year she is disappointed because the actual soap people she wants to see don't show up and some new person no one knows or wants to see comes as a replacement. This happens every year and she complains but continues to spend money on it that she doesn't have.

Some people are just dumb, is all.

Dallas Lady said...

I think this needs emphasizing, please note the verbiage about the functions:

Note: In the event that Kate Gosselin is unable to travel and/or attend scheduled functions for reasons beyond the control of Alice Travel, Alice Travel will not be liable, and no refunds for such inability to travel or attend functions and events will be owed by Alice Travel. Applicable cancellation penalties will apply.

So she COULD be on the boat, but "unable" to attend the scheduled functions and events and you will NOT get any money back. I think this is rather clever, though if she really did something like this (got on the boat, but refused to do any of the events), it would be really super stupid for long-term goodwill. But it's clever if you're Kate Gosselin and only care about getting free trips, because she could get the trip (a super nice cabin, I'm sure), claim she can't make the events, and still have a good time without having to rub elbows with her mediocre fans.

Win-win-win! Except she'd piss off the two fans who managed to scrape together the money and vacation time, thinking they'd get to see her.

This is EXACTLY the kind of thing her fans have been clamoring for: a chance to see her, speak to her, have their picture taken with her, actually DO things with her (she's a professional at doing crafts? Really???), BUT she and her publicist cleverly made it so that only those with the money and time to do so can go. You can't just show up at a county fair and see her.

NT said...

People who can twitter should start asking alot of questions like what is the charity for this cruise and won't you miss back to school with the kids if you go? That would be the reason that she will miss the cruise. She prob has that in mind all along and just getting paid to use her name. What a rip off. This should be investigated.

NJGal51 said...

I don't think the kids will be going. It's probably Jon's vacation week so he'll have them. You know if the kids were part of it the thing would be advertised as "Kate plus her 8". She really is hitting the bottom of the barrel.

And if I read another twat post correctly, she's wondering how people undecorate if they actually have to WORK, I mean she says it takes her all day, so what do those mediocre folks do. She really does not have a brain in her body between a thought and her fingers.

Oh how nice, the new BBB is a 12 seater, and no surprise that the icky boys are assigned the back row. She really will not be seeing much of them once they are legally free of her. Clothes that are too big, back of the bus, never see them out with her, no attempts to have them in gender appropriate activities - buh-bye.

Spit my coffee out over the KateCruise, but you know maybe all those 6 young sheeple will find the $$$ and airfare and will commit to the trip. Kate will either not be there at all, or will use that clause that allows her to not be present at certain activities. And yes, many schools are back in session right about that time. Doubt the 8 are going on Mommy's family cruise.

Shouldn't she be in Las Vegas by now?

Oh but she's 'teary-eyed' at the thought of meeting so many of her fans in one place. Such an emotional announcement. Seriously, the sheep may be crazy fr her, but do they have the $1900/person DBL occupancy? Think she, the manager and Alice Travel are sorely underestimating who of her peeps, in this economy, have $$$ for a KateCruise. Even rich bitch K8 won't take her children on any kind of vacay that costs HER ant money - where have the kids gone post TLC? Milo? She's not allowed to stay up past 11. Ellie or the Irish lass? Anyone ese out there? Maybe she can talk it up, with her winning personality, in Bermuda.

Private group farewell dinner? So who gets invited to that? The other events weren't billed as private. OH, that's HER private dinner with herself and her paid friend, Steve.

I'm more and more convinced she reads here. She finally tweeted about it. And then one of her fans said she'd love to, but she's been unemployed for two years, and who could afford something like that???

Kate acknowledged its hard, but it's something families like to do if they can (uh yeah, and if they can't???) and then asked where she was and says she may have other appearances coming up.

Oh this is fun. I'm going to enjoy watching the appearances become more and more random, Z list, weird and desperate!

Dallas Lady said...

I love the person on twitter who said the cruise website looks fake. I have to say, it's not very professional looking. Alice Travel looks a bit fly by night by the looks of this thing.

And aw, that's mean. A fan said she can't, it's too much money, but she'll save up and asked is there any contest to win the cruise and Kate just said "wouldn't that be awesome if there was?"

I don't know if she even realizes how mean that sounds. She's also really sucking up to get them to sign up. So far only one person has said they might do that instead of a Disney cruise. I kind of doubt they will. So far everyone else is on,y saying oh wouldn't that be nice or I can't afford to.

Milo is going to bust something.

silimom said...

OMGosh! A cruise??? I will give her this - She has good PR people. I wonder - do they cancel the cruise if not enough people sign up?

This sounds like there are things for kids to do. Is she bringing her kids? It didn't sound like it to me.

Dallas Lady said...

I know for a fact CJWhodunit can't go. She's a teacher in a suburban DFW school district and her daughter goes to school in the same district. Teachers go back about a week before the kids and the kids go back in the time frame of that cruise.

Don't most normal people need about a year to save and plan for something like that? Does she really think CJ is going to miss mandatory days at work, make her daughter miss the first days of school and afford that trip on a teacher's salary? Come on.

Get lucky in Kentucky said...

Oh my...... The bullish*t is getting deep now. "Getting all teary eyed". LOL!!!!

librarylady said...

They don't cancel a cruise, spots get taken up by "regular" cruisers. Kate wouldn't mind that at all - fewer social requirements, right?

So what would you call this "job" she probably thinks she has? Promo person? Former Reality Personality? Cruise bunny? She'd never do a resume since she's not interested in actual work, but if she had to do one, what would she even put in the "employment" section??? lol

Out And About In Berks County PA said...

Also, August 12-19? Around here, most school districts are back in session by that time, at least by the end of that week. Though I know some parents take their kids out of school for trips, no one wants their kids to miss the first day of school.

+++++++++++++++++++++

The kids will not be back in school at that time. We are cruisers. It's the best way to vacation. But I would never, in a million years, cruise to the Caribbean at that time of the year. It's hot, and I mean hot. Worse yet, it's hurricane season. I never book a cruise between June and October for that very reason. I did it once and swore I'd never do it again. There are too many storms. We once came back from a 12-night Caribbean in the worst storm I have ever experienced. People were sleeping on the floor on the pool deck and in the hallways. The crew was kept busy passing out vomit bags. Everywhere you walked, you had to be careful because you never knew what you were going to step in. There was no service in the dining rooms because the plates couldn't be kept on the tables. The pools were closed and covered because the water couldn't be kept in the pools - it was too dangerous. This went on for two days. I remember talking to one woman on the pool deck who told me that she just wanted to die and was upset that she didn't! When we finally got to port, we couldn't get off the ship because the seas were too rough for the tender to carry us from the ship to the dock.

I will say one thing, though. RC cruise lines is great. I'd rate it right up there with Holland America. I'm surprised she's not doing the Disney cruise and taking the kids along. They would absolutely love it. That particular RC cruise only has two ports, plus the private island. It's okay, nothing to write home about. Jamaica is my least favorite island. You can't keep the street people away from you. Someone always wants to braid your hair with dirty combs! I can't see her climbing around the Mayan ruins in Cozumel. I loved it, but Kate...not so much! Three days at seas and only visiting Jamaica and Cozumel isn't a cruise I would pay to take.

Who, in their right mind, would want to cruise with Kate, and what is she going to do there? Make a speech? Sign her books? This has a recipe for disaster written all over it. On a ship that size, she'll only be an unrecognized face in a sea of tourists!

Admin, That's EXACTLY why she had hers modified! No, it doesn't make it a better vehicle, but every time she has to to say what kind of car it is, she can say "Mercedes"! To someone like her, that's worth it!

Interesting that the cruise is in August. We were discussing the idea that we would know where she stands, financially, in August. If she's loaded, she'll have the kids at the same school. If she's broke, it will be public school for the kids. We know she reads this stuff, so the cruise may be a way for her to make some quick cash and pay tuition for another year. That way she thinks she's thumbing her nose at all of us (the infamous "Nonbelievers"). Well, she needs to push that cruise NOW, 'cause by August she will be even less relevant than she is now.

About this Bermuda thing--it sure does seem shady to me. It's like when you're invited for a free weekend at some resort, and then get there to find yourself being hit up to buy a timeshare. What if she gets there and finds out that she's the one being scammed? They could hit her up with some sort of "bill", or find that they have some way of getting money out of her. She has to go back to PA, so what's she going to do, persue legal action against someone in Bermuda? I think she'd better think REALLY hard about this one before she goes, especially since this is not an established charity. She has no idea what kind of people these are, what they really want from her, or what she's attaching her name to.

Another note about the MB BBB--when my son and I went to NYC last year for a TV appearance, NBC used...you guessed it!...a shiny, black Mercedes Sprinter van to shuttle us around in. They may have used that same black van to shuttle Kate and the 8 around when they did talk shows, too, so maybe that's what got her thinking...if that's what the big-name studio uses to transport their guests, well, then, that's what she needs to have, too!

I swear we had this conversation before. You either love cruises or hate them. Count me in the hate group. I've done one seven day cruise to Mexico on Royal Caribbean because I did hear they were the best. I didn't like it. Nothing more special than a three star hotel. For your "deal" you get a tiny room with no window, if you don't get up at 6am you won't get a deck chair to longue on all day, the shows are cheesey and the buffets and dinners were nothing special. For everything that was "included", pretty much nothing was included, much less anything fun to do on shore.

Worst of all was not really the ship's fault--the ports. There was nothing authentic about the ports. They were set up around the cruise ship selling you cheap-o tourist products. I didn't get one ounce of authentic Mexican food or culture the entire trip. I will never do it again. But even cruise lovers know you don't sail to that area in the middle of Hurricane season....dumb! Just Kate's luck Hurricane Kate will be on her way.

PJ's momma said...

Admin, I'm right with you on the cruise thing! Everything you said proved real to me too. I took my first cruise from Seattle to Alaska for my mom's 60th birthday, just her and me. It was OK. I didn't hate it. Maybe it was the geriatric nature of the passengers, it was nice and sedate. Plus, my mom is disabled and the crew were so nice to her. But we took one from Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago and HATED it. It was literally like being held captive with a bunch of drunk or gross idiots you would never choose to see. All day and night!

+++++++++++++++

The Allure has a capacity of over 6,000 passengers. The number of sheeple signing up for that cruise wouldn't even make a dent in that! I hope that these fans, most of whom I would believe have never cruised before, are smart enough to do research on travel insurance and if their insurance includes a "opt out for any reason" clause. If Kate cancels for whatever reason, they are stuck. They will not have any of their money refunded if she backs out.

Many charities have an annual fundraiser that can bring in 50% or more of total donations for the year. Individual tickets are usually offered, but, purchasing an entire table that seats 8-10 is usually steeply discounted. Board members of the charity and supporters purchase the tables and invite people that they think will give a large donations. Many of them are catered events in hotel ballrooms, with the charity paying for the meal. The meals are always sit-downs, because there is always some kind of presentation during the meal, so they don't want a lot of moving around the room to distract people from the purpose of the event. The table heads are there to answer questions and act as a host. People who purchase individual tickets are seated at a hosted table that has not been filled.

There is almost always wine served because happy relaxed people will more readily donate, and, children are not allowed to attend. While the meal is being served, there are various speakers. It may be MCed by a local television or radio personality, b a board member or Executive Director. There will usually be people that have benefitted from the charity--for example, a previously homeless person that was provided transitional housing and social services. Then, there is usually a PAID speaker. I have see Lily Tomlin, as well as Al Franken. This speaker is not necessarily tied to the charity--it is a paid job. The bigger the charity, the bigger the name. At some point, participants are asked to pick up the envelope in front of their plate, and to donate. The table hosts collect the envelopes, but, usually, have no idea what the individual donations are. There may also be a live or silent auction.

I know that there will be a barrage of outrage over the irony of having fancy events to fund starving children and the homeless. Believe me, the irony is not lost on many of the participants. But it is an effective fundraising template, and most charities employ it because it is enormously successful.

I don't think I have seen the actual word charity, or tax deductible donations. I'm not familiar with non-US charities, so can't comment on whether they have the proper designation as a charity granted tax-exempt status in the US. As I already said, I am skeptical about charities that use the term "raising awareness", because it mean they can justify any kind of activity without actually contributing to the defined problem that they have addressed in their mission statement.

Since Kate is a known cheapskate (not a potential source of donation) I deduce that she is a paid attendee, and probably a speaker--which, yes, would cover her travel and hotel expenses.

Laughing out loud at that one, Auntie Ann. I think that even a barnacle would try to work itself loose and attach itself to a rock somewhere just to avoid being on a ship with Kate!

This got me into the cruise mode again, and I'm searching cruises. There are so many great ones out there right now, with interesting itineraries - seven day cruises with five ports-of-call for much less money. That's funny, but in all of the cruises I've been on, I never once experienced that. We don't go to party. We go to relax and enjoy the islands. I think that sometimes it depends on the ship - those that are billed as party ships tend to be this way. Holland America is great because it caters to an older crowd who go to bed early! Of course, we don't socialize with any other passengers and don't do the bar scene, so I guess that's one way to avoid it. The kids love the children's programs, the basketball courts, miniature golf, and the arcades.

There are so many social activities on a ship, but we choose not to do many of those (except for an occasional game of bingo, the shows, and movies) and we've never had drunks or gross idiots we had to deal with.

Does Kate qualify as the gross idiot?

My close friend from work absolutely loves cruising and goes every year, and I have never in my life seen someone who could find such cruising bargains as she does. She truly needs to do this for a business. But she NEVER goes on the western Caribbean cruises. She has been on them from the all the coasts of North/Central America to Italy, Greece, the UK, made them part of central European trips, etc. - all for unbelievable prices actually very close to what this cruise is. You have to put the work in looking and plan months in advance, but you can save thousands of dollars like she does if you take the time - which these Kate Kruise people will not be doing.

Berks County, good point. Passports are NOT cheap. We just got one for our daughter and it was $135, without expediting it and it'll take 4-6 weeks to have it in hand. If you expedite it, that's an extra $60 PLUS overnight shipping charges both to the State Department and to your mailbox. We have enough time, we didn't need to do that. But if people wait until the spring rush, it'll be bad.

If that CJ woman's husband approves of her going and taking her young teen, the airfare for the two of them from Dallas to Ft. Lauderdale round trip if they bought their tickets now would be around $215 a person. Not bad. But if they get there the night before it disembarks, they need a hotel. Ditto on the return.

So passports, flight, possible hotel room, and $3800 for two people for the tiniest room would run about $4800. (Assuming they don't already have passports.)

I don't know if most people have $5000 just lying around, not earmarked for a rainy day or bills, etc. Or even lying around at all.

It's kind of manic how hard she's pushing it on twitter. Yeeesh!

Absolutely. I'm angry, too. Kate knows darn well that most of the sheeple are teens who cannot afford it, and who are not in the U.S. I don't think even the older fans realize that the initial payment is NOT the total amount they will need. This will not be a cheap Meet and Greet at a convention center somewhere. They will also have to figure gratuities (20 percent per day per person). If they choose My Time Dining, it will automatically be charged to their account. Anything they purchase on or off ship is not included, nor is alcohol.

I really hope these fans think this through, do some research, and don't make any hasty decisions. They will need to get it IN WRITING what happens if not enough people sign up, if Kate backs out, etc. RC is not going to cancel the entire cruise if Kate doesn't show up, and if these fans have already booked, they need to know what happens if the travel agency cancels.

Regarding the cruise, I checked on Royal Carribbean website and there was no mention of Kate. It appears the only publicity is through Alice Travel. Is that normal where a travel agency does the publicity and not the cruise line?

I sure wouldn't want to be a cruiser booking a cruise only to find out I was on the same ship as Kate the Grifter. Don't cruise lines have to disclose a special cruise guest before booking? I talking about a special guest hired for entertainment or speaking/teaching workshop.
Maybe I'm just naive.

One evening, a Cherokee Elder was talking with his grandson. He said, "My son, there a are two wolves battling inside us all. One wolf is Good. He stands for joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The other wolf is Evil. He stands for anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, rage, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego." The grandson thought this over for a while, then said, "Grandfather, which wolf wins?" The Elder replied, "The one you feed."

A friend of mine sent this to me yesterday, and it made me think of Kate. I don't think there's any doubt about which wolf she is feeding.

No. With 6,000 plus passengers and a crew of 2,000, nobody but the sheeple are going to know that Kate is on the cruise. This is a huge ship...I mean HUGE. Unless you've seen it, you cannot imagine the size of it.

Anonymous said...

When one of her fans said she couldn't go on the cruise because it is for Americans only, Kate replied that she just called the travel agency and found out that it is for international travellers. That points out how ignorant she is - she had to call the travel agency. Anyone would know that providing you are not on a travel risk list, have the necessary travel documents (passport/visa, etc.) AND can come up with the $$$$$$$, travellers can expect to be welcomed anywhere.

The first (and only) cruise we ever sailed was on Royal Carribean's Explorer of the Seas cruise ship (New England to Halifax) for 10 days. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

New England is BEAUTIFUL. I fell in love with Maine. We toured beautiful Kennebunkport by bus.
We toured Salem, Mass., and paid a visit to the Salem Witch Trials museum. In Nova Scotia we went on a tour of the famous Fairview Cemetary, which has a large population of Titanic victims buried in it. I thank God for the ports. The cruise ship was nice, but I would have gone stir crazy if I did not leave the ship.

The ship's staff were absolutely LOVELY.
The shopping was insanely expensive. Their gym was fully stocked. My only complaint was that I had to wake up everyday at 5:45am to secure a spot on a machine.

They had a few pools & jacuzzis onboard, which we took advantage of whenever the sun was out.

We walked 5 miles daily on their outdoor track, after dinner. Obviously the food was good- I returned home 3 lbs heavier.

My daughter and I were suckered into getting spa treatments. I spent well over $300.00 on skin products I didn't want, and have yet to touch.

They had an ice skating rink on board that we did not use. We also did not catch any of the shows on board. There was a nightly "parade" of sorts that we did not go to because we were asleep in our windowless rooms.

I am grateful we were able to go on that trip.

If we're fortunate to do it again, I would prefer take a shorter trip... or maybe just drive or fly directly to New England.

My commercial for Royal Carribean is done.

We took a nice western caribbean cruise in October 2010. Apparently, Star Jones was on our ship and occasionally an activity was listed on the daily sheet as "Talk with Star" 2pm in the Library, or something like that. Before seeing this on the daily itinerary, I had no idea she was on the ship, so unless people are specifically going to see Kate, they don't have to be bothered with her at all. That is, of course, as long as she doesn't cause a scene. The screaming and carrying on that she is known for, to call attention to herself.

Dallas Lady, I haven't done a river cruise, but I've been on the Danube in Germany, Austria and Hungary and they are all incredible places to visit, most notably Salzburg and Budapest. Well, the pricing is fair and even a tad cheaper than booking a cruise on the same ship, same week off of Orbitz or Expedia.

To be fair to Kate, my daughters are 6 and 8 and they still like singing Chick A Chick A Boom Boom, Barney and other kid cd's and they read half a year to a year above grade level (even though their just in a mediocre public school).

And frankly, I don't have a problem with it. It's better than them trying to gyrate across the floor and sing "Sexy Back". Yes, I will listen to top 40 radio, but I'm an adult. The lyrics of some songs tend to glamorize behavior that I don't think is appropriate for my 6 and 8 year old to be listening to at this age. Just my opinion.

And before anyone goes off on me, my 15 year old son does listen to some of this kind of music and we talk about what the lyrics mean and why songwriters write these kind of songs. I can't kid proof the world but I can do my darndest to worldproof my kids and teaching them to think about what they put into their brain and why is one of my most important jobs as a parent.

I haven't been on a cruise, get seasick, and if I did go it would probably be the time that karma came for Kate! Admin., maybe Kate could show everyone how to make that purse full of bills disappear for her crafting time, not sure she's really all that crafty, except dealing with fans and paps.

She could show you all how to perfect that nasty stare.

I guess she could show you how to get that perfect shade of dayglow orange tan look leathery, or watch her weave turn her roots black, or have a fashion show of skanky cruise wear. So many choices, so little to choose from.

I just cannot believe this woman will not go away, doesn't she know that she is redundant? No one would bid on a lunch with her in Australia, so who would want to be imprisoned on a ship in the middle of the ocean with her?

The only thing I think she might be good at is renting out her uterus for surrogates. She did carry twins and septuplets to almost term, so if she got paid enough, maybe. It would have to be a lot of money to make her mess with her bikini bod, so maybe uh, no.

Why is everyone trying to get me on a ship for a week trapped with Kate? What did I do wrong????

silimom said...

I think Kate is going to find that the majority of her "twitter" fans can't afford to go. Even if you could drive into Fort Lauderdale, you'd still have to pay to have your car parked for the week, gas to get there and home and the cost of the cruise and any shopping you might want to do. Also, when we went on our cruise, alcohol was not included in the cost of the cruise, nor were the extra port of call activities (tours, etc.). It's not cheap to go on a cruise, really.

I did enjoy our cruise, but as I said before, after reading the article I linked to I'd have to think twice. I realize that housekeepers, janitors, etc. are not paid nearly what I think they should be paid to clean up after me (which is why I tip generously for good service), but learning that some of these workers are being forced to put in 16 hour days and only make $50 up to $300 for the month? And that's not including the other abuse that goes on...

I'm not saying don't go on a cruise. I'm just saying I would have to think twice about it now.

It was listed on the daily events schedule? I imagine different cruises and agencies do it differently. I do know that when I was with "my" celebrity, a cruise package was offered through a travel/public promotions type of agency. Only those who booked through them for this package deal were entitled to the show, to the meet and greets, etc. The cruise never happened because the sponsoring group never put up the money or the deposits that were required and therefore, the performer had red flags about whether he and his group would ever be paid. There were hundreds of hopping mad fans who had made travel arrangements, paid in full for the cruise, only to find out the deal was off.

I'm not sure how it was handled - whether the fans had all of their money refunded or not. That is why it is so very important for these sheeple to read the fine print and make sure that everything, including their deposits, will be refunded if Kate is a no-show or something happens that forces its cancellation, They need to pay important attention to what happens in the case of a hurricane, or if the itinerary changes because of unforeseen events.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Yes sillimom and don't get me started on how some cruise lines have "handled" deaths of employees on the job. There is a lot of room for improvement in how the slaves rowing below are treated.

As I recall, there were two opportunities to have a meet and greet/Q&A with her during the week. Maybe there were special events going on with her that were not listed on the daily sheet. Like I said, I didn't even realize she was on the ship, until I saw the itinerary. We didn't bother to go see her.

Most of the hotels in Ft. Lauderdale allow you to park for free at the hotel while you are on the cruise and they have shuttles to take you to the pier. Since these sheeple do not live there, and most likely would be flying there, they would have to stay at a hotel overnight, and it looks like that is included in the package.

Many cruise lines have an automatic gratuity added to your final bill. RC does not, but it does suggest that you should tip 20 percent per day per person, which comes to about $12 per day per person in a standard cabin, and $14 per day in a suite. So, in addition to their fare, a husband and wife would have to cough up an additional $168 just in tips. It may not sound like much, but to some of these fans, it's just an added expense. If you have a family of four on a 12-night cruise in a family suite, tips alone are $672. There's also an internet charge, so if these fans want to give daily accounts of their face-to-face with Kate, it's not cheap. It was about sixty cents per minute. It may have gone up this year.

The site says that taxes and service charges are included. These are port taxes. This is not the gratuity. These fans better knows exactly what is included and what isn't.

The disclaimer is particularly important. What constitutes "reasonable control?" I'd make darn sure that I'd know and if they take out travel insurance, would it cover it if Kate couldn't attend.

"Note: In the event that Kate Gosselin is unable to travel and/or attend scheduled functions for reasons beyond the control of Alice Travel, Alice Travel will not be liable, and no refunds for such inability to travel or attend functions and events will be owed by Alice Travel. Applicable cancellation penalties will apply."

It looks like Paula Deen is also doing the cruising thing on January 21.

So, now Kate is head blogger at CC(when did she get promoted?), she is a professional crafter?(when did she replace Martha Stewart, Katie Brown), and a tour guide(since when does Kate even know where she is, less referring to everything as Mr boat, mr ocean and given info from a leaflet.

In this economy, who has that kind of money to throw($1900 to $3100) and who in their right mind would want to spend time with Kate Gosselin? If you have or see pics of her and have her book(from the Dollar store) why spend that kind of money, for probably about 5 mins of meeting during whole trip w/Kate. This cruiseline, must be totally stupid or someone there is a big fan of Kates. Cause they will lose money. I guess they were not listening recently, Kate is not a big draw and the economy sucks. That kind of money can pay a mortgage, credit cards, other bills. But to waste it on a person like Kate who could care less about them, then I say if anyone waste good money on Kate they get what they deserve.

Kate really has scraped bottom.

One article says that the twins are going on this trip.
And, since Kate has not mentioned the Bermuda trip at all, it is possible that she is not going on that one. Their website does say invited, not comfirmed.

Gift of grab said...

You can book this same cruise for $1,065 on numerous other sites. So the premium for "access" to Kate is over $800. In addition, the fuel surcharge could be a killer. Between that and the tips, sounds like you could be looking at another $500-600 per person. If anyone could manage to do this trip (including the airfare) for under $3K, I'd be very surprised.

So $800 per person in Katie's pocket? Probably not, but I bet she probably sees $400 of that. If she gets even 10 people, that's $4K for a week of "not much" (her list of "fan" activities hardly sounds strenuous) PLUS the free trip.

She is a consummate scammer, I give her that.

There are several river cruise lines with this itinerary, we used Uniworld - if you go www.cruisecritic.com, you can read about the various lines and itineraries.

No way I would let my daughter go on a trip like that with KT. She could turn ugly and it would be a nightmore to go there thinking she was this glorious mom-figure and find out first hand that she is the bitch from hell. Even though Pg will be 18 by then emotionally (because of her neediness to meet KT) she is much younger. I am thinking this may blow up in KT's face. Of course we know she was just saying that because back when she was with TLC, that's how she got to travel--via the kids.

Now that she's able to scam some trips for herself, she's seeing kids are amused by car washes and gumball machines--something most moms figure out pretty quickly.

I went to Expedia and Orbita and the Alice package was actually a bit less. Remember, you need to look at the rates for August 12 - 19, which are $200+ more than the week of August 20th. Also, the rates you saw are per person and Cruise ships require you to pay double occupancy, even if you go by yourself. So double the rates you saw on those sites and then compare them to the Alice package. The Alice rates are the double occupancy rates.

I have a suggestion for those thinking about Europe. Forget the cruise, you should consider farm houses. Go off the beaten track and tourist traps and stay at someone's house. They are all the rage over there, some countries give families subsidies if they allow tourists to stay there. So you're helping the farm family, staying at a real European farm and getting to know a real family, eating authentic food, taking part in authentic family life, and getting all this for way less than a cruise that drops you off in a port town for three hours or some expensive resort hotel with no elevator. In Italy they are called agriturismos and there are a couple legit web sites that will help you book them. Some are like resorts for about half the price.

It's amazing the deceit of this woman. The way she is living high on the hog as if she is trying to spend every penny her family has made for her in as quick a time as possible. To me this just proves how she kept all the money they made while the show was going on. She took it all. She made out like a bandit. She left Jon with nothing. Part of that is his fault, he should have seen to it that the money was equally distributed before she kicked him out. No way should she have all that she has and he has essentially nothing. It is just so unfair. And now, a cruise? A trip to Bermuda? Sheesh, things just keep falling her way with no end in sight. None of these may be huge gigs in the true sense of it, but she just keeps being photographed for the trash mags and she keeps spending and keeping herself relevant. She is the ultimate piece of trash.

LOLOLOL: one of Kate sheeple(on BM site) already stated, she can't afford it and is not going. I wonder how many of the 15 devotes(over there) will go, one down, 14 to go. That Alice travel agency, must truely be in wonderland, if they think that mediocre/normal people can afford to go on a cruise in this economy and that Kate is a BIG DRAW, they are in La La land. They are in for a BIG surprise.

And yes, some celebs do charge that much $899-$1500(celebs that are d-listers), to spend time with them. Kate is gonna wake up very hard for this one. (reality hitting the fan, she is not that important or famous). A rude awakening! Can't wait.
Has anyone notice that the Zoo thing has been buried under the rug? No mention of her time with the fans or the dinner? or How much they made? Strange?

Kokomo #169, I realize she can't comp all of her 12 friends, but one of them mentioned a contest, and the winner could go on ther cruise with her, kate answered back that it sounded like a good idea. There is plenty of time for a contest, not like she does much else all day.

Oh dear god, I am trying to even imagine the conversations in some of these tweeny sheeple homes tonight. One reports that mom gets seasick and dad doesn't want to pay for a cabin for 2. They are actually trying to sell their folks on a cruise vacation with Katie G next summer. I'm embarrassed for them, truly.

Meanwhile Twatter Queen is singing the ABC's and driving through the car wash.

Orbitz has that cruise listed for $1065. No wonder she's pushing so hard for her fans to go--she will be making money off of them. No wonder she's "tearing up at the thought"--the thought of the money! I would be insulted if I were one of them--she says they are her friends, yet she's scheming ways to take their cash, and grifting stuff from them, too. Maybe that's where the recent talk of "true friends" comes from--she was just buttering them up so they feel like she is really their friend, and this is a way for all of them to spend time together--when actually she is using them to make a buck. Just when we thought she couldn't be more repulsive.
Will any of them actually go? You would have to have two to share each room, and it doesn't sound like any of them know each other outside of Twitter. THen each would have to cough up a minimum of $1900 for the trip, plus airfare, hotel, gratuities, and possibly a huge fuel charge. At least $3K per person, and just so they can meet Kate.??? Insane!

Prices for this cruise START at $799 double occupancy. Obviously you pay more if you are alone, but even then.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The fans should book through another agency. They go to the cocktail party, question and answers, whatever, and say that they are huge fans but that they didn't know that they had to book through this particular agency. Play dumb (not hard to do for sheeple). See if Kate allows them to come into the room, or if she turns them away. That might speak volumes about what she thinks about fans who aren't paying to see her.

Kate's history of sponsoring contests speaks nothing but disaster.

Kate picks a winner. Paige wins. Contest was rigged. Kate doesn't pick Paige, and Paige sinks into deep depression so much that she needs to be medicated. And on it goes...
Nobody is going to come out a winner in that. An uprising would ensue. Fans turn on fans.

Oh wonderful. LottoKate. Nothing could make her ego get even bigger than holding a contest to be with her. Her narcissism knows no bounds.

The cruise 'highlights' make an interesting read. "Charity dinner with Kate (optional)" hmmm. I'll bet all proceeds go to her.

This whole cruise just sounds like nothing more than a cruel joke to play on the sheeple. I may be more mediocre than most, but $3800+ for Milo and I to share a room is just absurd.
For all the talk about whether or not the 8 are going on the cruise, I hope they don't go. If the kids were there the 3 sheeple that can afford the cruise would follow them around and hound them every chance they got.

Backtracking a bit...
Am I the only one who keeps hearing Robin Leach saying "Failed reality star, Kate Gosselin will be appearing at Diamonds and Caviar"?

A Pink Straight Jacket For Kate said...

You know, if anything, the whole cruise debacle is proving just how inconsiderate and selfish Kate really is.

She does not give a sh*t about any of her fans.

Again, it's all about Kate's needs, and what she wants. Nevermind that the majority of her fans cannot afford such an expensive trip.

Mark my words, this will not bode well for Kate, and it will end up being a gigantic, expensive, rude awakening for her fans.

I am sorry if my previous post doesn't read smoothly, I need a copy editor! My brain is addled by the cold meds.

The fans should be insulted that the get-together they suggested because the like and admire Kate turned into an expensive cruise/opportunity for self-aggrandizing/profiting off her fans.
But most of them won't realize it.

re: car wash.

Kate's not driving the kids through a car wash. I think they got one of those outdoor toys where kids ride their bikes, cars, or just walk through a mini car wash. The thing has been advertised on TV, talking about some guy who sold an idea to a toy company and it's a hit. I think it's the same company that makes the Slip n Slide.

Why pay all that money to see a former reality star that got famous off her kids.? She won't even bring the kids that made her famous. What has she done to deserve a great trip like this someone tell me that.?

OKAY, this is the end for me. I am sick to death of reading about this bitch getting one thing after another for no reason. There are so many nicer, smarter, more talented people who could and would ADD something to all these things but who gets them? The epitome' of laziness and ingratitude. The kids are off tv, hopefully for good. If Jon can't keep them off permanently, I doubt anyone else can. Her cruise is toooo much tooooo late (her ship has SO sailed!!!!!! !!)

fidosmommy said...

Maybe I'm all wrong about the car wash. The day here was so perfect, it would be a great toy for kids this afternoon.........Maybe it was a real trip through the car wash Kate was talking about.

"I have a suggestion for those thinking about Europe. Some are like resorts for about half the price."

One of my friends did a bike and barge. You ride around during the day with a guide and meet the barge at night. The barge is your hotel and all of your belongings stay on the barge during the day. My friend loved it. She said it was more expensive up front (about $3,55) but, it included meals, entry fees, tour guide, lodging, bike rental, tips and ride to the airport.

* Meet Kate Gosselin at our private welcome cocktail party
Depending on whether 1 person or many show up(haha) ...Long enough for her to say thanks for paying me to be here, guzzle a drink and feign exhaustion from her last few weeks actually pretending to be a mom.

* A commemorative personalized gift from Kate (one per family)
* Capture your memories onboard with a personal photo with Kate Gosselin.
One of her unwanted unsold books she had to buy to make herself look like a great author. Boring pic taken by booby guard.

* Join Kate for a private BBQ on deck with a fabulous band
Maybe an hour if you are lucky-she will eat her grilled veggies, throw them on floor if not good enough and leave her fans with the fab band!

* Join Kate for a morning brunch
If she gets up in time.

* Fun fun family games with Kate and staff
She will find an excuse to skip or quit early if fans don't let her win.

* Charity dinner with Kate (optional)
She will be at table with only Steve. You will be allowed to look at her across the room. Maybe give you a wave or a thanks for paying her to come.

* Got questions for Kate? Attend her Q & A session
Beware the ratclaws if you dare to ask any tough questions.

* Check out Kate's latest book and bring it onboard for a book signing
After she hides in the closet.

* Doesn't Kate always have the best ideas! Learn a new craft from the professional herself.
Grifting and how to cut out a Qpon.

* Let's explore! Shore excursion with Kate
She will go out along the water's edge for few minutes, feign exhaustion or stilletos too hard to walk on sand and leave you standing there with wet feet.

* Let's talk about our fabulous cruise experience! Private group farewell dinner. This doesn't say she will attend. So you may get to sit together and gush about how fab she looked and all the amazing MINUTES you spent with her when you should actually be complaining about all the time you were ignored after all the money you gave her.

ATTN: You are paying for the thrill of being on the same boat, room, shore as Kate. Do not attempt to contact Kate without permission. Only speak to her during scheduled activities. She will be in her private hidden cabin counting the money she made off the gullible fanatics and laughing at their stupidness. Otherwise she will insist on a closed private pool, reserved lounge chair, public bathrooms all guarded by Steve and avoid you as much as possible.

As for a contest. Why not one for her haters? Since she says people like her after they meet her I would like the free trip to see if she could sway me into being a fan. (NOT!!)

This cruise is another if only I won the lottery. I would go for sh*ts and giggles.
