Kate in Runner's World

Kate is featured in this month's issue of Runner's World. And the article, is like, you know, um, really fascinating!

Says Kate on why she decided to run a full marathon:
“ My goal was to run half this year, full next year. I just changed it a few weeks ago. One day I was like, I totally won't feel like I completed it. I can't describe it. I wasn't doing the whole thing, and I wouldn't feel good about it. I didn't want to leave there wondering if I could have done the whole thing. It's so funny, because a friend of mine said, 'I really think you can do the whole thing.' I was like, 'Be quiet, I'm not doing the whole thing. You're scaring me, I'm not doing it.' She's like, 'I'm serious. You can do the whole thing.' I literally yelled at her for telling me that. I talked to another friend, and she said, 'I totally agree with her.' I was literally panicking. Then I hung up the phone and was like, they both think I can do it. And also those thoughts in the back of my head, You won't have completed the whole thing. Then I was like, "Okay, I'll do the whole thing." ”

Okay, I paused to think about it and all I have to say is, HUH?

Can Kate not talk like a normal 3-year-old woman? Is speaking really that difficult? I mean I think I felt my skin crawl. I feel so embarrassed for her!

I mean it's almost laughable, her speech. News flash, it will never be cute. So please, please do us all a favor and stop!

Oh this just makes me so amazed how she ever finished high school.

She's trying way to hard to sound cool and youngish. I guess it would appeal to Paige and the like but she really does sound like a dopey airhead. I have a friend who is 54 and uses the word "cool". I cringe every time she says it. I feel like asking her if she's looked in the mirror lately. Just because your kids use it doesn't mean you should.

This is yet another attempt to cling to "fame and stardom" in her mind. She is NOT a runner, just like she is NOT a saver with coupons, NOT a cook, NOT a talk show host, and NOT a mother (except for the biology). She has tried to "brand" herself as something for months, but it won't and can't work because she has no talents whatsoever. She is a brainless hyena and I am just shocked she made it through high school (as someone pointed out before) and diploma nursing school (and passed the state boards!)

She really is on her last legs now. Her cruise is going to be an epic fail - it will never happen and what will she have left to stay in the public eye? My guess is that she will have to "manufacture" something (like she engineered the multiple births with that trick she pulled on Jon). I suspect that it will be extremely dramatic and may turn tragic. It may even land her in jail for an extended period. I do not know what it could be, but given that she has to have her narcissistic supply for her very survival, it will be big. I hope it does not involve the kids in any way.

Assuming it's true, how diabolical is Kate??? Throwing Jon under the bus on Dr. Drew like she just did just days ago (does she think we didn't see this???) then turning around and having a nice amicable lunch together? If she hates him as much as her media tour makes it out, it's just creepy to behave so nicely to him right after. Like that tweeter who is pissed at Kate one minute loves her the next.

Carrying over the Marie Osmond discussion to here, I don't take cell phone calls at work usually either. I don't think she can be blamed for that, but I do think there might have been some issues with not accepting him for who he is. It is hard having a mentally ill family member--I haven't been through that, but I've watched a close friend go through it and you're constantly battling whether you are being selfish to try to carry on your own life, because at a certain point, you can't constantly be there for an adult without sacrificing everything else in your life.

I have always felt something was off about Marie Osmond though. I've heard a lot of stories about her that are more or less out there. A lot of odd things have happened that are fishy about her. I think she is likely a very unstable person who through exceptional talent and personality and drive has made it. She is one sadly I wouldn't be surprised meets a tragic end one of these days. She is one of those always sort of teetering on the edge of disaster. Remember her crazy faint on national TV? That was weird.

t think she's right, she doesn't know anything other than this bizarre famous lifestyle, so she just sort of lives it. She's funny though. When she was on DWTS she did this hysterical parody with Barbie dolls, and, if you knew some personal things about the other contestants, was even funnier on a much deeper level. I think she is a genuine person and trying to be a nice person, but I think at the end of the day, there's no denying that her bizarre-o childhood played a role in how she is now.

Anyway, long story short, I think what I find scary about Marie is that decisions made for a famous child when they are 12 have implications when they are FIFTY. That's how far reaching this stuff is.

Well, Kate talks rubbish, it sounded like blah, blah, blah, did not make sense.
If I had to choose between Donny & Marie vs Kate for a cruise: D & M would win in a heartbeat. The D & M cruise is way cheaper, more interesting things to do and I would not have to worry if D or M have a melt down, like Kate has on countless trips.
As for Kate CC blog boring! nothing nobody does not already know. 4 freezers for what? Duggers have 2 large ones for 22 people. What else is Kate freezing in those freezers? (a joke)
And those 2 twitter accts of her twins: I think they are fake, put up by some zealous, teenage fan. There are things the Cara talks about that Kate would not let those girls do, and the writing is more of a teenager or someone tryin to be a teen. There is the wrong birthday date and age.
One question: did Kate not say in one interview: either on the view or her show, that the girls were not allowed to see the Harry Potter movies or read the books?
And I see Jon pick-up the kids friday from school, he put on some weight, grew a beard, other than that he looks very happy to see his kids and they look happy to see him. (Kate never looks happy to see any of the kids, nor do the kids look happy to see her)So what was Kate doing again friday?

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The word 'cool' , as meaning superlative, made its' entrance in the 40s, as part of the Beatnik culture. It became part of teenage slang in the late 50s. ---around the time your friend was born. It became widespread after West Side Story, which had an entire musical number around the word. If she was using the term 'awesome', that would be an example of trying to sound youngish. Just had to clear that up....I am an old hippie, and I've been saying it for 50 years, and I'm not going to stop because it makes some whippersnapper cringe....

Marie said...

She's been unemployed, what, since August I think? Can normal people, oh sorry I mean mediocre people last this long being unemployed with kids to support?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I think it's all in whether you are a poser or it's who you really are. A close family friend is an amazing musician, plays mandolin and violin in a band. He's about 60. He always dresses in fitted jeans and a cool tshirt and he wears converse. It's who he IS. He says things like cool and money and awesome. But it's genuine, it's not him trying to be one of the kids. He IS that person. I also know a woman in her 50's who says cool and things like that to her kids and it's because she really says things like that and it's natural and they don't seem to mind it. She's pretty hip too.

And then there are the adults that try too hard to be just one of the kids. And kids see right through it. It's not in my parent's vocabulary to say cool and awesome, they don't, and I respect them more for it.

Kate is of course, one of those adults who tries too hard. It's so blatantly obvious, and not attractive.

Ex-Burn, I am 51. I'm sure if you said cool, it would sound genuine. My friend sounds like an idiot who is trying to maintain her youth by talking like her kids. She says whatever word is 'in' and it happens to be "cool" right now because all young adults seem to use it. Sort of like when we said "neat" in the 70's. You'd have to meet her to know what I am talking about.

Marie said...

Is child support mandatory? I mean, is it against the law if you don't pay it?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Yes if a judge orders child support, it's against the law not to pay it. Some states can send you to jail, others will just keep garnishing your paychecks and charging you arrears, even after the kids are 18. Kate has a lot of power over Jon with support and she doesn't seem to care. She frolics around blogging and putting her feet up on counters next to peanut butter while he is out there busting butt at two real mediocre jobs so that something terrible doesn't happen.

I looked up PA and they don't mess around: http://www.padivorceonline.com/papages/childsupport/childsupportenforcement.asp

They can impose jail time--but it looks like only if you willfully refuse to pay. As in, you had the money available but didn't pay your obligations. Not nearly as dramatic as sending a father to jail who just can't find a job.

Marie said...

Sorry if I'm over curious here but what are the circumstances of the judge ordering child support? I've only heard of this if in the case the mother doesn't work or is unable to solely provide for her kids. I didn't know it was an automatic thing.

Yet Khate puts her stinky arse on the same countertop. I guess the witch really DOES think that her a## doesn't smell.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Marie, child support is ordered when the other parent asks for it and they have the kid at least 51% of the time. In theory.

The more time you have the kids, the more support the other parent will probably pay. That's why a lot of "deadbeat dads" will sometimes start stepping up when money gets tight suddenly wanting the kids all the time--and you'll hear the moms say oh it's just because of his child support. Because the more he gets the kids, the less he pays. Actually, I've always felt that if Jon were to manage to get more time with the kids, the fans would just say he doesn't want to pay child support. Sigh.

CA uses this program called Dissomaster where you plug in a ton of factors and they pop out a number. A lot of states use something similar.

*********************************************

This is wrong on so many levels. 1st off, are you saying you don't take phone calls from your own CHILDREN? Secondly, if you know the child calling is suffering from a MENTAL ILLNESS, you still wouldn't take the call? And third, you are a MOTHER, your JOB is to MOTHER your children. NO MATTER WHAT.

?????

This bears repeating, IMO. I agree 100%. This sounds not only like a sheeple, it sounds like a sheeple of Marie's. Does she have them?

Regardless, I'm shocked that one would make excuses for Marie not taking her son's call right before he JUMPED TO HIS DEATH! Marie doesn't bother me one way or the other but there's simply no excuse for not taking your ill child's phone call. Marie knows this and is paying for it with major guilt.

----------------------------------------------------

What I meant to type that I don't think she wouldn't have taken his call if she knew the situation was dire. Those darn double negatives.

And for the record, I don't have children, so I can't comment on actions I would or wouldn't take on hypothetical kids but my brother is bipolar so I will use him as an example. I love my brother very much, and I know that he suffers from a mental illness. That doesn't mean I am obligated to answer the phone every time he calls me. If I am busy I call him back at a time that is more convenient. I do not exist to simply be a sounding board for him. And you know what? Just because someone is depressed does not mean they are constantly suicidal. I don't follow Marie Osmond so I don't know if her family knew he was suicidal RIGHT BEFORE he jumped. I made my statements assuming that Marie may have just figured her son was calling to chat, not realizing how serious the situation was.

I stand by my statements that "While being emotionally available for those who suffer from depression is the ideal, it is also a bit unrealistic to expect people to be at the depressed persons' beck and call. People need to have their own lives too."

I hope this clears things up.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I'm sure Marie feels guilty, but I don't think we know enough information to make a judgement she's a bad mother for not picking up a phone call.

Does he call her 10 times a day or hardly ever? How was he doing mentally at that time that she knew of, was he doing better? Did he leave a voice mail or text her if it was that urgent?

See, I work in a courtroom and we CAN'T take phone calls. Not phone calls from children, not phone calls from husbands, not phone calls from the pope. Mine isn't as strict about cell phones being on your person (but off), but the appellate court asks you not to even bring them but if you do, the deputies give you dirty looks and package them in plastic bags and lock them in a drawer for pickup after. There's just no way to reach me when I'm in there. It feels a bit scary to be cut off but it is how it is. A set is much the same way, no cell phones. A lot of jobs I imagine are like this--doctors can't drop everything for a phone call during surgery, it has to wait.

And by the way, from what I've read of this, Marie called him back the second she got away from work. He didn't pick up, and committed suicide a short time later.

I'm not a Marie sheeple, I think she is one messed up cookie, but to me it is outrageous to blame someone for a suicide because they were working and couldn't' get to their phone right that second. Was she not there for him enough, no idea, maybe not. But one missed phone call is not why that young man committed suicide.

Done and Done, I have to say I more or less agree with you on this. Like I said I watch a close friend deal with a mentally ill family member and it's tough seeing her give and give and give and just get her heart ripped out. At some point, you have to live your own life. It does not mean you abandon those you love, but at some point there has to be boundaries. Does she not work and not raise her other kids and just go park herself at his apartment and hold his hand all day?

This kid had tried to commit suicide before, years before this ever happened. Marie had him in rehab, she was trying to help him with his issues, at some point that had a conversation and he promised her he would never do that again and like any mother would she believed him.

Read Marie's Oprah article. The day before was the FIRST TIME he ever indicated to her he felt alone. She made plans to go see him in person THAT MONDAY. She told him the day before when he said I have no friends, Honey I'm coming monday, hang in there, it's going to be fine. She was absolutely taking his depression seriously even though it came out of the blue. He also write his suicide note hours before he ever called her and was very firm about doing it. It sounds like the call was a goodbye call, not a please help me call.

Thanks Admin. I feel like relationships with people who suffer from mental illness can be compared in a lot of ways to relationships with people who battle addiction. When my brother goes off his meds that work for him because he thinks he's "cured" it reminds me of when an alcoholic goes back on the bottle because now she has "learned her limit." Mental illness is hard on the people close to it too. You want to be there as much as you can but we all have our own sanity to think of too.

Yes! I'm kind of surprised anyone wouldn't. There is nothing else like the bond between a mother and her child. Other family members? Not so much. I get that.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Anonymous, making it personal will get you deleted every time. We are not that blog. If you have a personal problem, there's my email in the sidebar. Personally, I think just the opposite of what you say about me--that a declaration a mother would ALWAYS take a call in this situation is holier than thou--you don't know that.

I thought Marie was on stage in Vegas. She may not be self employed. She may be contractually obligated to someone and that might even include, not running off stage to take a phone call. This kind of thing could get her FIRED and for all we know her kid called her all the time. She called him right back and was going to be out there with him within DAYS. I never said either way if I would take a call in that situation, only that I sometimes know I can't take important calls because I am also "on stage" and can't use my phone.

Please explain to me how she was supposed to know that call was because he was committing suicide. No good parent has ever missed a call from their kids for various reasons, ever?

I have a hard time with the people left behind getting blamed for someone's suicide.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Ruberstig, she WAS doing that. That Monday.

He was HAPPY before all this happened. Days before he was happier than ever, in college, doing well. It was a mere few hours before this happened he suddenly said I have no friends. Marie immediately made plans to go out there.

A mother blames herself enough for this without a bunch of strangers who weren't there adding to it.

ruberstig -

How would that even be possible? If you're a mom and you're kid suffers from clinical depression, depression that lasts years, you should quit your job, say goodbye to your friends and the rest of your family and sit in your child's apartment for possibly months and years at a time? That is not only unrealistic but ridiculous.

ruberstig said...

Monday was too late, tho, wasn't it. Do you really think Marie could give 2 shits about what a stranger thinks on a blog she'll never see? Is she a friend of yours?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Done and Done exactly. The kid had depression for seven years. Marie is supposed to sit there for seven years and do absolutely nothing else? Maybe she thought it was good for him to go to college. And it seemed like it was up until the day before his suicide--as he was happy and seemed to be doing well and loved his area of study, fashion or something.

No, I do not expect Marie to sit there and hold his hand for seven years. I expect her to do everything she can to get him functioning normally in society, and that includes, encouraging his passion with college. Exactly what she did. It's nice to criticize the situation with hindsight in mind, but maybe she thought college was exactly what he needed, not hand holding.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

How was she supposed to know Monday was too late??? How was she supposed to know him saying he felt sad because he had no friends meant he was going to jump off a roof???

Of course Marie is not a friend of mine, I don't even LIKE her that much I think she's odd, but I do have several friends who have had family members commit suicide. And the last thing I would do is sit on my high horse and blame them for it when I don't even know what happened other than what I saw on Extra.

I think the reporter from Runner's World knew that real runners would be angry to have Kate Gosselin in their serious magazine, so the reporter put in Kate's words in exactly as they were spoken. That was her way to 'slam' Kate.

Why do people always feel the need to photoshop KT. That picture looks for all the world like they took another head and put it on her body. Or does she request the big head to make her body look smaller. She is skinny, but not small. She looks like an Amazon woman in comparison to those around her, because of her 6-inch heels, I guess. Anyway, that is the most bizarre thing I have ever read. There are just no words to describe it. The entire article reinforces my belief that she did not run the full marathon. What she is saying is like you know you don't really have to train that hard or even like have a trainer, just run already, and don't forget the lipstick.

Who won the darn thing? Where is his picture? How did he train?

She even admits that she "literally yelled" at her friend (and I use that term lightly) who was attempting to convince her to run the full marathon. I bet that so-called friend is the gal she met at the college she spoke at who is a runner. Pretty sad when you call a casual aquaintance a friend. I bet that relationship is over.

Love, love that the reporter printed word for word her explanation for running the full marathon. I cannot believe that someone who speaks like that is capable of writing a blog. I have not read any of her CC blogging, but I bet CC is wondering why in the world they hired her. From what I am hearing from you guys, she is offering nothing new. Why? Because she has money and feels no real need to learn how to save a few bucks like the rest of us. She just makes up stuff.

So Kart is taking the twins on the cruise. I don't know why Jon would allow her to take them. She's using the girls in an attempt to get people to sign up. She just continues to put her kids out there for entertainment purposes. Why would Jon agree to this?

I do not believe for one second that Kate really ran the whole race. I need proof. She says she runs 10 miles every other day, then sits on the couch the rest of the day? Runners are not couch potatoes; Kate has never been athletic at all, does no sports, but all of a sudden she's a runner.

Runners also have injuries, like every other sport.Sprains, strains, blisters, pain, stress fractures, especially if they take up a sport at 35 or 36. Kate has none of those- liar, she would if she ran.

She complains of exhaustion from getting 2 shopping carts full of food, but running for 10 miles is no problem.Yeah...I think that article for runners' world was written verbatim, so everyone would know what a joke Kate is.The real runners must be so ticked that she got the article.

Well, color me shocked! Kate has apparently NOT confirmed her meet and greet in St. Louis:

RT @TheAustinMartin: @Kateplusmy8 Hey Kate.... Still thinking about St.Louis? Want me to resend my email to you and Julie?

It has been months since this Austin kid first wrote to her manager. Months. And she mentioned just last week that she has something planned in Missouri in the spring (of course, it's not posted on her Web site). So why isn't she responding?

For those who don't check in on her Twitter, she said today that the twins will be going with her on the cruise. Of course, plans change. I sincerely doubt that any kids will accompany her, assuming the cruise even happens. According to my rough count, in terms of people who communicate with her on Twitter, there are only 5-6 currently signed up to pay the Kate surcharge (representing a total of 15-16 family members who are booked for the cruise but not for Kate). I have counted another half dozen who seem seriously interested but who have not (at least on Twitter) committed yet (including the infamous miloandjack). Unless there is a large contingent of people who signed up and are not tweeting about it, this looks like a pretty sad turnout so far.

Not only did she figure out a way to make her 10 sheep OVERPAY for her "Shakedown in the Seas" cruise- but now that Mady & Cara are coming along, they will be the human shield (or the excuse)to keep people away from her highness.

Disappointed in Jon if has indeed allowed the twins to go on this cruise. Didn't I read somewhere (here?) that someone twitted they saw Jon and Kate at lunch? Although this cruise looks like fun for kids, the sole reason she wants those girls to go is to exploit them (and justify Steve on the trip). Shame on Jon. I agree that the first thought that popped into my head was that Jon will benefit financially for allowing this because Kate is desperate to not look like a fool when she could not fill those allotted cabins. They must have worked out a compromise because Jon held the cards on this.

I have no idea why Mady and Cara are being allowed to go on the cruise. Maybe they want to, because after all it IS a cruise and they are fun for kids. We don't know that Jon wasn't against it and a judge ruled in Kate's favor. Maybe the judge felt the girls wanted to go and didn't have a problem with it. We already know he ruled against Jon in the past. He allowed all eight of them to skip school and leave the country for "work."

SG-I too am disgusted that the twins are included in the cruise. I am even more disgusted that Kate is now using them as bait to increase sales. That is the worst form of child exploitation-to use her children as a selling point.

Gift of grab said...

I wonder if Kate gets "paid" for people who do not sign up for her activities but do bring others on the cruise. There is one woman who is paying for Kate for herself and one child, but she is bringing along another 5-6 family members. It has been stated by some who have signed up that if you are not participating in the Kate crap, you do receive a lower fare from the travel agent (though apparently not as low as can be gotten by other means, e.g., direct from the cruise line).

It makes some sense to me that anyone registering for the "Kate Cruise," even if they do not sign up for her "events," would bring some credit to her account. Maybe her free cruise is based on number of people who sign up as part of the group with the travel agent, with her cash pay-out based only on those who pay the extra fee to spend time with her. Just guessing here, anyone know?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

And folks, this is why this blog is still around. Mady and Cara on display on the cruise just like old times.

Jon is between a rock and a hard place. If he lets them go on the cruise he risks them being exploited. If he doesn't let them go, he's mean awful Daddy who just doesn't want the children to have fun on a fun trip. For all we know he had a long talk with the twins about what they want to do and what could possibly happen on the cruise (i.e. obsessed fans who want their picture, to talk to them, etc.) The girls are getting older, maybe they've decided they are okay with it.

Maybe their lunch meeting was about what provisions Kate was going to put in place to protect them from being exploited on the cruise so Jon won't drag her to court to stop this.

I forgot what she said before, but she definitely was being wishy washy about the kids going before.

Dmasy said...

Could be everything Administrator speculated. And, maybe Jon will be allowed a week with the tups while Kate is away. He loses in every battle with her. We know he is generally a passive soul. Maybe he made the best of a bad situation. I have my doubts that money/reimbursement was involved.

Kate is a twit said...

Kate never mentioned anything about any of the kids going. The travel agent said that Kate might be bringing some children but didn't know which ones-that Kate still hadn't let her know. &&&&

I swear she sort of hedged around this at one point, indicated she wasn't sure about the kids or something. Maybe someone can find her tweet. But it's one reason why I started to say this was a scam, because in a press release they claimed the twins were going but then Kate was being wishy washy about this. It seemed like they were trying to draw people in using the kids (they even said watch them play on the beach with Kate--blech!) when it was up in the air they were even going.

More likely, Kate committed the twins without asking Jon. When he found out, he was obviously mad. (Going through a breakup AND dealing with this at the same time, heck maybe this drama was even the last straw for Ellen, who knows) Explains her latest media rampage why she was so pissed at him. We were wondering. Must be THIS. She then ponied up to him played nice, had a nice lunch with him, agreed on some ground rules with this vacation, and he agreed. Now all of a sudden it's like they were always going. So transparent.

I thought knitting and a Bible study would be her next ploy to get more people. Oh, but no, she has already gone for broke--the KIDS.

I really don't envy Jon. Two 11-year-olds with pleading eyes who just want to go on a sunny warm vacation. It's such a set up. Jon looks them in the eyes and tells them no, and the kids hate him. Either way, Kate wins. She either gets to exploit the kids, or they get to hate Jon. See why this is a set up? I feel awful.

Yes, the kids not hating him.

Remember Kate on Australia? What parent wouldn't want their kid to go on a vacation like this??? Um, a parent who doesn't want their kid exploited.

It's one giant set up.

Get lucky in Kentucky said...

Admin... I don't feel the same about the not wanting the kids to hate him. Sounds nice, but don't believe that at all. I do agree with you though that this (him allowing kids to go) may have been what broke he and girlfriend up.

So how is Kate explaining to the tups that Mady and Cara are going, but they aren't? She really can't say "it's for work", can she? I hope someone on twitter asks her how the tups feel about it and what she told them-I'd love to see how she lies her way out of that.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Yes but you have to remember Kate is an obsessed parental alienator just as much as she is a narcissist.

http://www.realitytvkids.com/2010/09/parental-alienationalienation-of.html

We've seen how she gets when Jon won't let the kids do things. Even so far as dragging him into court. She will make it her life's work to turn the children against him if he doesn't compromise a little.

He may have insisted on a provision they are not to attend any of the fan events, that this trip is to be all fun for them. I don't know--but I sure hope so.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Heck, bet she wanted to take ALL the kids thinking it will draw more fans and more money. The compromise could have been that the little kids are way too young to be exposed to fans like this or make the decision they want to be exposed to it and are not to go--but the twins are getting older though and better able to make more informed decisions. They will be almost 12, a magic age in a lot of courts.

Dmasy said...

Just taking the older girls, Kate won't need a nanny. With the younger children, she would need help. Another consideration. Wonder just how many FREE rooms she can claim?

Hopefully this cruise will never leave port.

1963 - my second oldest son, 12-years old, had been seeing a psychiatrist for a year. A trying time for the family to say the least. It is too long to go into but when I called his doctor to relate to him what a friend or neighbor had seen e.g. jumping in front of truck. The doctor suggested that he be hospitalized immediately. No he never committed suicide. Later, years later, he was diagnosed as bi-polar. The fear was always there for me. Oh, yes the entire family was trying their best. Phone calls - every 15-minutes because he wanted to be certain that he was going to get his special engineer boots. Don't judge another until you have been there.

The twins on the cruise -- just another confirmation that Kate can't generate any interest on her own. The kids are the draw. She hasn't figured this out by now.

I'm not even sure that having the twins along are going to help pull in the fans. It's the tups they want to see. In fact, with only a few sheeple left, maybe it's not even the little ones that are of any interest to them. Kate is the queen, the one they worship.

Hopefully they will be with the nanny and will get to do all of the fun things on the ship and participate in the kids' program. If so, they'll have a blast. If she drags them along to the meet and greets, they'll be on display. But since these get-togethers are few and far between, and there are only a handful of gawkers going, perhaps it won't be that bad for them.

Wow, if you are referring to me, you could not be more wrong. First of all, I am still a regular poster here. However, I think I only posted a couple of times early last week and haven't been around much these last few weeks because, well, real life gets in the way sometimes. But, thanks for missing me.

I'm just trying to catch up here now. Well, actually, not exactly catch up on it all because I don't have the time to go back and read all the comments on the posts here for the last two weeks or so, unfortunately. Maybe I'll skim over them this weekend. If you read my recent comments at Preesi's, you'll see that I only posted there also at the beginning of the week the last couple of weeks and then got busy and wasn't around all week, or even over the weekend. When I've been offline for several days or almost a week, it's easier and quicker to pop in there to catch up than it is to slog through all the comments here to figure out the latest "news".

But, I did take a quick look in this new post last night and I saw what appeared to be a carried over conversation from the post below that about Marie Osmond. Unfortunately, I only was able to read that post about the Donny & Marie cruise, but not any of the comments. Anyway, as soon as I saw yet ANOTHER "Anonymous" stirring up shit here, I thought, Oh, here we go again. Then, I checked back and I saw Anon bashing Admin while also mentioning Preesi's site. As soon as I saw that I thought, Oh great, now some people at 15 Minutes are going to think that shit stirrer is me because I posted at Preesi's yesterday but haven't been here much the last couple of weeks.

So, thanks for being so very predictable. Please, if you feel like accusing someone of posting as anon and flouncing off in a huff, use their screen name, not "one of the regulars". For the record, I do NOT post here as anon or in other names. I've been using this name here from the beginning, and I regularly call out the idiot, shit stirring "anonymous" posters, as I firmly believe they are almost always sheeple trying to cause trouble. I do hope that the real regulars know that I don't play games like that. Admin knows who I am, as we've been in email contact before.

As far as bashing Khate on Twitter, yup, guilty as charged. Calling her out on Twitter is NOTHING compared to the atrocities this effing bitch has committed on her own children since birth! I think this latest example of her PIMPING out her 11 year old twin girls to get cruise bookings is just the latest example. Case closed.

I don't really want to stir things up from earlier but I'd like to give some perspective from a person who has a serious mental illness, has had serious suicide attempts in the past, and manages it in the present. If I tried to call a family member while suicidal and didn't get an answer, I would not blame them in any way. If the person saw my call and chose not to take it at the moment, I wouldn't blame them or think any less of them.

When I was suicidal, I felt like a burden on the people I loved. I didn't want them to feel like they had to put everything on hold to deal with me. In fact, my last conversations with anyone before an attempt would have left them with the belief that everything was improving. In a way, it was in my mind because deciding to attempt was a like a relief valve on the pain.

If this comment doesn't get posted, it doesn't bother me. I can understand wanting to shut down the discussion. But I want to get the message out that mental illnesses are exhausting for all involved. People who manage it the best are those who do not rely on just one or two family members for a support network. You have to spread it out so no one has to deal with it alone. I have been in a remission of sorts of many years now and it takes daily management. My mother doesn't always take my calls. Somehow it works.

They are only 11 years old. Jon is still their father. I get tired of parents trying to be their kids 'friend'. You are supposed to protect them. Whether they like it or not.

It's also not good to drag kids through a court process every single time Kate wants to do something. Jon would be in court every week. It's okay to compromise a little to help family harmony. It's not as simple as well the kids might be exploited so Jon should stop it.

For all we know the lunch meeting was about Kate swearing not to ever let Mady and Cara around the fans--keep them in the kids area with a nanny and bodyguard the whole time. For all we know, the lunch meeting was about how Mady and Cara are old enough to deal with this, but the tups definitely aren't. For all we know, Kate might have actually compromised too.

My question is: IS there anything other than a totally negative opinion of Kate? I'm joking of course, but I think admin gives a lot of latitude to comments posted here and fair warning their post will be deleted if people decide to be assholes about it.

I try to be fair. Usually swiffered conversations go on a long time before I finally have to do something. For some reason, some people defending Kate always want to make it about the other poster--my pet peeve. I could care less how you feel about Kate, but I do care when you start drawing in other posters.

I don't think people should attack someone's opinion and immediately accuse it of being a sheeple opinion and I've said as such. But, the fact of the matter is a good number of the drive by nights are sheeple trying to shit stir. It's pretty obvious when someone is sincerely interested in talking about something, and when someone wants to just get everyone all worked up then cry that they were censored. Two years running this blog I can spot this tired routine from a mile away. Get some new material!

There is indeed lots of healthy disagreement here, but maybe some people don't notice it because it's usually disagreements from mature adults talking to each other like adults. A disagreement doesn't have to be a pissing match. Which reminds me, I appreciate 99% of you so much. :)

It's no picnic, thank you for sharing something so personal. Being mentally ill and dealing with the mentally ill is indeed exhausting, and you can only do the best that you can. In most suicide letters that have been made public, I don't usually see people blaming others. I see exactly as you said, feeling like a burden and blaming yourself. Marie's son left a suicide note and she described what was in it and there was nothing in there about how he was upset she missed his call. In fact, he had planned from that morning to do it and didn't indicate he was calling people to try to get them to stop him. He might not have even mentioned suicide if she picked up the phone. From what I've read, sometimes, people about to commit suicide act very calm and peaceful in their final conversations--because they feel relief that they've finally decided to just do it.

I don't think that this is "oh, yes, it is"...the original blogger is busy posting under many names over on the other blog. Her last rampage was against Steve. Her brother has a long history in the FBI, so of course she's an expert on security services!

What a juvenile sounding interview as usual from Kate. Using the word "like" sounds very jr. highish at best. Like, really? Imagine Kate screaming about anyone else sitting on the granite countertops. Never happen!

My understanding of child support is that one cannot say you don't have to pay this month. The money is paid to child support enforcement and they send it to the parent. Any missed payment puts the account into arrears and you cannot catch up, as interest is added, and then you are paying interest on interest. I hope Jon never takes that bait if it is offered to him.

I am an employer in Washington state. We are required to file a form for every employee within 30 days of hire.  If there has been a late or missing payment, the state requires us to withhold earnings and send it to a State agency that then distributes to family. Their is a cap in place so that it doesn't exceed a percentage (I think 50%-not sure) of the net wages.  If their earnings do not meet the requirements for the agreed on support, it accumulates a balance. Not sure whether interest is paid or not.

The form is also used by the IRS to garnish for legal judgements and IRS /state taxes and penalties. If the parent who pays support is self-employed, there is no way to garnish wages. Every state is different, but I think every state requires that this form be filed and has some kind of collection process in place.

The form was part of the big welfare reform in the Clinton era. It was put in place to prevent deadbeat dads from escaping their responsibility and having the state  support the family with welfare.

I don't understand your comment -- "Your telltale catch phrase was in the post...Oh yes it was!" I rarely post a comment, but do lurk every day.
