Kate's real wheels exposed: The struggling mother has the nerve to show up in an Audi sports car after telling People how worried she is about her financial future

Kate admits on Twitter she owns no less than three vehicles.

Including this two-seater Audi she bought in April, which she claims will save gas. After insurance, fees, and maintenance, how does she figure?

Which is it, Kate, are you rich, poor, or just plain stupid? This is why lawmakers have to write laws protecting the hard-earned money of children in the entertainment business, because parents just like her cannot be trusted to do it on their own. Congrats, Kate, you're why.

The stickers are clearly 6/12, on her windshield. She had to have made the purchase no less than 30 days before that asuming she waited the whole 30 days to register, she probably purchased it no earlier than May 1 st. That's estimating she waited the whole entire 30 days to do that, other than that, she bought it in June, I am guessing late June as most people, altho not fun, pay the taxes on their purchase fairly soon to avoid fees, but again we are talking about Kate. Anyone know what the estimate of this purchase could be? Not sure what year that looks like, I'm not familiar with European vehicles.

Re Casey Anthony: It's already been documented that she was paid $200,000, but it supposedly went to her attorney (rumored lover), Jose Baez--another similarity to Kate (rumored lover). She's crying "broke" so she won't have to repay law enforcement for lying about a non-existent nanny and waste of their time trying to locate the mythical nanny--crying "broke"--another similarity to Kate. BOTH Casey and Kate are pathological liars. Lots of similarities and speaks to the lack of character of each.

She's telling a mother with a vomiting child to wait two hours then give Gatorade.

Children can dehydrate from vomiting in no time at all. She hasn't seen this child to suggest fluids should be held back for two long hours! She shouldn't be saying anything other than call your doctor. Advice about vomiting should come from the child's doctor, not twitter. What a twidiot, her and that mother.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

You know this may be an unpopular opinion but I don't think Jon should have given that interview. Even though everything he said was spot on, he's stooping to Kate's level with this tit for tat.

Also I think he needs to understand that everything he said, we already agree with! Kate is digging her own hole and he doesn't need to help, she's got it handled. The majority back him now, the majority feel how he does now, he really doesn't need to just reemphasize what everyone already knows and has been saying: Kate needs to get a real job, this whole reality tv career was a ridiculous long term plan, Jon pays his child support, sees his kids as much as he can, and is doing what he is supposed to.

Jon, it's okay, WE KNOW ALREADY.

I saw that too. Her "advice" was extremely restrictive in giving fluid and food (sound familiar?). This is beyond ill advised. It's reckless.
Children CAN and do dehydrate quickly with their little bodies. It's why I found the Gosselin "vomit-fest" to be so alarming. Not just for filming kids puking, covered in their own vomit and almost aspirating, but because they had footage to get for the show, Kate did not tell the captain to turn around as 4 or 5 of the kids were very sick, with no meds, no change of clothes, no towels etc. Because, "gasp! people get sick on boats??". Organized and prepared my arse.
She's gone 'round the bend. It's like she brags she's a nurse but wouldn't be caught dead practicing.
Kate: I'm not a nurse, I just play one on Twitter.

Not an expert, only observer. But can't it be illegal fraud in some way? However, she is an expert at what she does and how she does it in the "love offering" requests, but this time, it's different. Too many eyes, and an ex who is waiting with baited breath. She said she was broke. She said her children had no money for school supplies, and not much money left for food? She said she can't afford organic milk? She is accepting free cereal (that could harm her children, according to the FDA web site, due to expired beyond recommended consumption date unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Will she actually pick up food from a stranger for her children to eat that is over two months expired?) Ought to be interesting. Why can't the father buy the milk, the supplies or help his own children? No child support paid at all? Wasn't the Starbucks gift card given and accepted under pretenses of her not having much money left or the children not being able to afford camps or gym classes? She posted from her own twitter account over and over about no money. Her greed may cause her to self destruct completely. She won't know if she is being set up or not when she accepts more money, gifts, services, food or tangibles with money in 11 bank accounts according to her ex husband. Thinking this is not ever going to end well for all directly involved. She is using others, mainly her children, saying how pitiful they all are, and she is being used by those closest to her. Conservatorship or Guardian at Litem surely can't be too far in the future.

Kate said she got away for a long time with evading the paps because of this new car.

Perfect justification for her oh so very silent sheeple! See Kate NEEDS this car so the paps won't notice her.

I really don't think she has more than three of her old die hard fans left. They've quietly disappeared throughout the past two weeks, they're gone. Dishonorably discharged from the tweeple ranks, break their swords in two.

I had horrible stomach pains and often vomiting a lot last year when I had an h.pylori infection and didn't want to eat or drink. Never once did my doctor tell me to restrict fluids. In fact she said even if you can't keep it down or it makes your tummy hurt, drink anyway, she mentioned dehydration over and over. And I'm a grown adult. I had to go to the ER about nine times to get some IV fluids through my arm to boost me up because the dehydration and pain was making me feel so awful. I remember how good getting a couple of IV packs of saline would make me feel, sigghhh.

I don't know what treatment is best for that poor sick child on twitter as I'm not a doctor and I haven't SEEN the kid for pity sake, but I do know Kate has no business giving advice about a vomiting child.

I can't imagine any attorney advising Jon that a press statement is a good idea.

If I were his attorney I would be setting him up as the father who never goes to the press and never discusses the case and stays quiet. If he did this interview against that advice I'd be fit to be tied.

I usually tell clients not to talk to anyone, press, police, etc. If you don't say anything, they can't twist your words.

The average price for this vehicle is around $36,000 dollars including taxes fees and maybe some interest, that's Pennsylvania in the Allentown area on avehicle that has around 27,000 miles on it, hers might have more, but knowing Kate she wanted some cute little new to her (almost) little speedy car with little miles on it.

I'm confused

I bought a gently used car once in November and the tags didn't expire until July.

That was one of the perks of buying used, that year's registration was already taken care of. I am a huge proponent of used cars. My car literally had 1500 miles on it because the previous owners decided they didn't like the car, and I saved several thousand dollars and LOVE IT NO PROBLEMS. It's free and clear and like all cars it's still a money pit, but within the range of a money pit I CAN AFFORD.

Kate wants her own show, cause"Eight's Company" just ain't working for her anymore!

Personally, I think she wants one of those Housewives shows- Beth was at a party @ Jill Zarin's house in the Hamptons one time, a long time ago. It probably ticked Kate off, cause she wants everything Beth has. She's so jellus!

Well, she has the house and the sportscar and Steve! She just can't figure out why"Hollywood" isn't calling. Well, Kate, they want a person who isn't such a crazy, lying bitch to everyone. She has blown every chance they've given her, but she really thinks she is an 'A' list actress!

Really, if a parent is stupid enough to troll for "motherly medical" advice from K8, good luck to her (and her child). Why that parent would think K8, who had a boat-load of vomiting children of her that she ignored, would say anything useful is pretty sad.

Not certain of PA laws I guess, in MO you must get new tags as you have to pay taxes out right to the reg offices, taxes cannot be charged on your loan, and must pay personnal property taxes before you can register, new stickers are issued to you on the month you pay the sales tax, therefore you get 30 days to tag your vehicle from date of purchase, or get a $25,00 fine. Maybe not in PA. Sorry for the confusion.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

What really bothers me about Jon's interview as I said was that public opinion IS going in his favor. Maybe he's not paying attention to know this??? He needs to realize that the tide has turned, if only in the past two weeks, people are onto Kate, this Audi fiasco is only the latest and yet one of the greatest, stay the course things are turning.

The last thing he needs to do is open his big mouth and make it seem like he's still playing tit-tat with Kate. When momentum goes your way you SHUT UP.

I have seen attorneys and their clients not say a DARN THING at a trial. Why? Because they've gotten some kind of indication from the judge he is going in their direction. The last thing you want to do is annoy him with jibber jabber and mess that up. Saying nothing is a GOOD STRATEGY IN MANY CASES.

I agree with what he said but it just wasn't necessary. He needs to have confidence that Kate is falling now, and the public understands him now.

Not necessarily. My brother purchased a used, late-model car (we're in PA) that was still under inspection by the seller. He did not have to have it inspected until the date the inspection had expired, which was four months later.

Registration is NOT the same as inspection. Registration and inspection are not necessarily done at the same time. The sticker on the windshield is the inspection date; the little sticker on the license plate in the back is the registration. In order to have a car inspected, you must show a current registration card, which she would have gotten when she purchased the car.

One on of my cars, the registration expires 7/2012, while the inspection expires 8/2012. It is so much better if the inspection and registration can be done in the same month - much easier to remember, but it doesn't always work that way.

It is entirely possible, as someone said, for her to purchase a used car in April that was still within the legal inspection date, and then not have it inspected until June, when the inspection would have expired, as evidenced by the 6/2010 inspection sticker.

If she didn't purchase the car until June, then she indeed is fibbing because she tweeted that the paps knew she was driving the car for the past SIX MONTHS.

Admin, I agree re: Jon's interview. Jon, your actions have spoken louder than any of Kate's words, as have her own actions.

I'm very tired tonight, and Kate is one of the things that I'm just plain tired of. I watched the past two episodes and they were just draining. It's really hard to sit and watch her because she is such a spoiled, self-centered, self-absorbed narcissist with a huge entitlement chip on her shoulder. Kate has a habit of bringing everyone around her down to her lowest common denominator and I think the RV trip was a good indicator of that. As for whether Steve and Kate are together or not, I'm just going to throw my hands up in the air and say "Who cares? In the end, who really cares?" If they are, then I will shake my head, because I really don't see the attraction, but wish them good luck with that. If not, then it's pathetic on both their sides, Kate's because she clearly wants Steve and Steve because he's using her attraction to further his own ends. But honestly? It's none of my business. Neither is Jon's life. Or even the kids'.

I really am just tired of it all and I will be pleased when Kate finally goes away. I hope these are simply the death throes of a reality "star" were witnessing.

I'm going to go watch "The Guild". It's far more entertaining.

I have no problem with Gatorade either! Incidentally Kaiser is my provider, they have always recommended Gatorade for me throughout my long stomach issues that Kaiser wouldn't quit on until it was diagnosed and cured (so grateful to them I am tearful, changed my life). I've bought gallons of Gatorade over that period, I LOVED the little single powder packs they make I would take those everywhere.

What I have a problem with is anyone who is not the child's doctor or nurse instructing his parent to WITHHOLD FLUIDS.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The page you provided at http://www.siskiyoupediatricclinic.com/vomiting

has a whole host of information that cannot possibly be conveyed in one little tweet. Wait two hours may very well be what your doctor recommends but it should come from your doctor! It also cautions that if a whole long list of stuff is happening call your doctor immediately.

And I question any medical office that is giving such general advice on vomiting. Call your doctor, it's your CHILD. SO what if they tell you just give Gatorade, it's not something to f around with.

Kaiser even has a nurse hotline you can ask questions, 24/7. Used them a lot during my sick days.

She shouldn't have been instructing the mother on what to do. Her reply should have been that she needed to contact the child's pediatrician for advice.
That would have put an end to it. But, in typical Kate fashion, as a SuperMom/medical professional, she couldn't help herself.
What if the child had an appendicitis? Did the child ingest something toxic? Could he have had food poisoning?
She knew nothing of this child's medical history, and to offer any kind of advice was just irresponsible.

I keep forgetting to comment on the very telling sheeple tweet to Jon asking him why he would want "less" for his kids.

It's a perfect example of their value system and why we will never, ever see eye to eye. They think that not having a sports car and McMansion and trips and stuff you would be having LESS.

We, from people here who have money to people who don't, have all said over and over what we believe our happiness is traced to. And it has absolutely nothing to do with STUFF.

They measure a "good life" in things. Just like Kate does. It's so clear to me that Kate has been completely unable to feel fulfilled with her things. She always wants more and different things, trips, stuff. People who measure the good life in things will never, ever feel satisfied.

Jon has it right, it's not about this stuff. We have it right, it's not about this stuff. I pity those who measure life otherwise and don't understand how they came to that viewpoint.

They don't understand that Jon too wants to give the kids MORE. More than this pathetic, public existence. More privacy, more time with those they love, more walks in the woods, more baking cookies, more hugs, more kisses. More of the GOOD LIFE.

It's not that Jon is not allowed to speak. It's that when you "speak" in a case like this when the other parent is also speaking, you are running the dangerous risk that the public, the judge, anyone viewing the case will start viewing it as a he said/she said thing, they're both fools, they're both wrong, blah blah blah fight fight snip snip snip.

It's essential Jon lay low right now. The family law case should be set up to appear that Kate is the one spouting off to the press like a crazy pants, and Jon is quietly busting his butt making a good life for the kids. In the long run, the quieter, more reasonable, nose to the grindstone parent often eventually prevails. May not be right away, but they will.

As absolutely right as his statements were, it was a very risky move, IMO.

TLC is being slammed on Showbiz Tonight for Toddlers and Tiaras because one of the 3 year-olds was dressed as a hooker.....and her mom doesn't understand why this is controversial!

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

The theme was to dress the girls as a famous person. The mother chose Julia Robert's character in Pretty Woman. As much as I detest Toddlers and Tiaras, I really didn't think the costume was all that bad. It was a cropped top, short blue skirt and high black boots. Nothing was showing and the girl wasn't making any suggestive moves (at least not on the clip that was played). She wore a bright yellow wig. I've seen a heck of a lot worse. At the end of the performance, she came out dressed in the brown and white dotted dress, very conservative.

The mother was interviewed on Joy. She didn't come off as a total looney, unlike many of those mothers. The child was asked if she knew what she was dressed up to be, and she had no idea.

I wasn't horrified, which shocked the heck out of me because I am so very much against any kind of beauty pageants for kids that exist so that their celebrity wannabe moms can re-live their youth through their daughters. Their standard line is that the kids can stop when they don't want to do it anymore. Where have we heard that before?

@laurajean -- Ashley's post hasn't disappeared. It's on the recap thread, last page of comments, near the bottom.

@ Mandy -- Beth Carson is the real author of "Multiple Blessings" and one-time friend of Kate's. Bob is her husband. They appeared on the first season or two of J&K+8 and were regular caretakers of the kids. They disappeared from Kate and the kids lives a couple of years ago.

Ashley -- you rock, girl! I bet nearly every viewer of the show was cheering for you when you told Kate off. I didn't watch, but I gave you a silent cheer when I read Admin's recap. Prayers to you.

I haven't posted since reading Admin's recap (thanks for taking a hit for the team again, admin), because I just don't have words. That doesn't happen very often, incidentally LOL. I cannot believe that a grown woman could behave in such a childish and reprehensible manner. I'm sooooooooooo relieved that the show is ending, but I'm really fearful for the children now. They're going to go through hell the next few months, and I hope that Jon is able to pick up the pieces for them.

I may not have been posting, but I've been reading online a lot. Nearly every thread on every site has been negative toward Kate. I've seen very few negative posts about Jon, and most of the ones I've seen are from the usual suspects. Finally, I think most reasonable people are seeing what he lived with for 10 years and understanding a bit better his behavior immediately post split. One thing that strikes me, though, is that even the positive posts and articles mention Jon's "Ed Hardy phase", but not one mentions that this so-called "phase" was a JOB! Jon was PAID to wear Ed Hardy clothing. It was product placement. Would he have worn the clothing otherwise? Maybe, maybe not. Frankly, I never saw the objections to it. Tacky -- sometimes; garish --undoubtedly; but it was a lot more appropriate for public wear than the skanky boob tops, shorty shorts, and hooker heels that Kate wears almost exclusively.

Re Kate and the boobyguard. I don't know if they are fornicating or not. Frankly, it doesn't matter. They give the appearance of having an affair, and that is as sinful, to put it in Kate's "Christian" terms, as if they are actually being physical with one another. A wife who truly loved her husband would have found a different bodyguard the minute Jon objected. However, we know now that that was a one-way street, and Jon is the one who was expected to do all the moving.

Tamara, please explain how Beth and Bob made money from the Gosselin Family?? As I remember it, the Gosselins were on the recieving end of some quality affection and caring from Beth and Bob. Also thousands of dollars of professional photographs, compliments of Beth and Bob. As we all know, the Witch takes anything for free. How do you know that they didn't? And if they didn't, what good would it do now?

They are not mandatory reporters. If they signed confidentiality agreements and made accusations and did a tell-all, I'm sure that Kate would make them pay for violating that agreement. Literally.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I highly doubt Beth and Bob were paid too. This was back in the early days of the show where it was reported they only made, correct me if I'm wrong, $4,000 lump sum an episode. Chump change compared to later. When they tried to pay Jodi a few years later after the show and Jodi were popular, Kate threw a fit and she was banished. I don't think anyone was paid early on until the show took off.

As for whether they should speak out about what they saw, well, depends what they saw. They may not have anything more to offer at this point that we don't already know.

What I do know is that Beth loves these kids. She may even want them to come back to her when they are old enough to decide who is in their life and who isn't. Trashing their mother about stuff we already know isn't going to help that any.

As much as I think Kate is a horrible human being, I must say that her advice to the Twit regarding vomiting was absolutely CORRECT according to pediatric protocols. When a child is actively vomiting, we withhold all intake by mouth for 1 hour, ideally 2. When the vomiting eases up, then and only then do we start with tiny sips (2-3 tsp) of clear liquids every 5 minutes or so. Putting fluids on the stomach of a child who is actively vomiting actually causes more vomiting and potentially faster dehydration. Thus, the period of "belly rest" to allow the irritated stomach to completely empty. Of course, you HAVE to be acutely aware of signs of dehydration, and how long the vomiting has been going on. This is the standard pediatric protocol (see Barton Schmitt, author of the protocols used by most of the pediatricians in this country). I am a long-time pediatric RN, and I take calls for a triage center that answers for 130 pediatricians after hours...I have the vomiting speech down pat!

I never in my wildest dream imagined I could find anything to defend that idiot about...especially kids and vomiting since I have some strong opinions about how she treats her own puking kids!!!

No doctor or nurse would ever take to twitter and give advice about something as serious as vomiting and dehydration in a 200 character tweet.

And another thing - drives me crazy when that Twit Kate implies that she would be working 12 hours every day if she went back to nursing! Nurses who work 12-hour shifts typically work 3 shifts a week. It's one of the perks of working those long shifts - you get 36 hours in over 3 days. Nursing is an awesome profession - lots of varied opportunities with lots of scheduling options. And the money isn't going to buy a 20-something acre estate, but it's not bad.

So true. But you have to wonder why parents, PARENTS feel the need to ask a celebrity, or really a complete stranger for advice on how to take care of THEIR sick child! Not a nurse in the world that would give advice over twitter much less the internet that I know of!

My aunt is a nurse in a big city's hospital since 20 years old and has always raved about her schedule especially as she moved up in the ranks. As I recall she did every other weekend for awhile with various weekdays off. She loved it because it freed her up to volunteer in her kids' schools, go on fieldtrips, etc. I think she missed one Christmas my entire growing up years. She used to be on call but I never remember her being paged to leave. Now she never works any weekends at all. It's been a great career for her and for a kid who got married at 19 and had her first baby at 21, she made out pretty well for herself and her family. Also it's so great to have a nurse in the family.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

There aren't many basements that aren't flooded. This is the worst flood we've had here since Agnes in 1972. Many areas are under mandatory evacuation, and we've already had lives lost, with many people now in Red Cross shelters. Our emergency response teams just couldn't keep up with the calls today, but they're doing the best they can. I donated. I wonder if Kate did, too.

I just spoke with one of the emergency responders, and he just got home after being on-call for 32 hours straight. The situation is not good. We had five days of continuous rain, and not just showers - steady rain.

8countem8 said...

Being a nurse, especially up the ranks allows for you to have a more flexible schedule it truly does. Which is why I find myself to confused why Kate whines about how hard it would be to be a nurse. Give me a break! Lots of people out there, and a few people on this blog happen to be nurses and they make it work. I think Kate has just gotten to a point where...KATE ENJOYS BEING LAZY! Either that or she's been cushioned from reality by TLC and is too chicken to try doing any actual work.

Does his mean her half-backed unpacked bedroom, office, whatever is no more? Doesn't sound like she's going anywhere anytime soon for a trip/vacation/interview. Maybe Monday, I don't know but it'll probably be her last. Unless some idiot reporter truly wants to ask her six months from now how hard it is without a reality TV?

That may very well be, but how many nurses do you know, who have not been practicing for many years, would take to twitter and give medical advice to a stranger? I hope none! She has absolutely no business giving advice, protocol or not protocol.

How would this child's mother know if Kate's advice is correct or not? Answer - SHE WOULDN'T!

Beth wrote Kate and Jon's most profitable book. She didn't do it for free. And SOMETHING made her leave Utah never to come back.

Beth made money off those kids, just as the book publisher did.

And I very much doubt that Beth and Bob never saw anything untoward and abusive. If nothing else, they saw that filming was WORK for the kids. I genuinely think that if they would have spoken out when Jodi and Kevin did public opinion would have turned enough to force TLC to cancel. Or at least let the show end when it did, no Kate Plus 8.

And BTW, New Hampshire, I am allowed to have opinions and to express them here without being bullied. Just because you get the first primary doesn't mean YOUR opinion comes first ;)

To Tamara,

You really sound angry and defensive- why so mad at Beth? She wrote the book, Kate and Jon did nothing except put their names on it as co- authors.
They got 2/3 of the proceeds from the book. Beth wrote a best seller and should have received all the money, I figure. But, she shared it with them. As Kate herself said, "they lived it and Beth wrote about it."

Beth and Bob did a lot for them in the early days, baby-sitting and Bob taking photographs.None of us really know what was said except for them. Beth was her friend and Kate wanted what she had. Beth went on that ski trip with them and then left suddenly. hmmmmm...

I think I would be madder at Kate for her crappy mothering than at Beth. She didn't need Kate's money or money from the book; they were already wealthy. Beth and Bob did a lot for Jon and Kate, and what did they do for Beth?

Now that Kate Plus 8 is history, when will the unauthorized movie of Kate's life be filmed? Lifetime seems to like this genre of movies.
Actors portray everyone in the Gosselin family, but no need to cast Grammy and Gramps Kreider
past the cribs segment.

Since it would be unauthorized, Kate would not even be consulted, much less given editing rights. And no payment, either. Oh, wouldn't she lay an egg over that?

I, too, wish Jon had not done the interview. He didn't say anything that is not true, but he just didn't need to say anything. Kate has "cooked her own goose" and it's nasty tasting.

Reality television is not here to stay. Someday viewers will revolt and insist on watching trained actors deliver quality programming. I have faith this will happen.

I haven't believed a word out of Kate's mouth for years. Some people never change. She is one of them. When the money runs out, maybe she will get the true help she needs. Hitting "rock bottom" is a reality check for most people. Remember, "Pretty is as pretty does."

Fidosmommy,

Kate asked her friend Beth to write about their life ,I think Kate said, so they wouldn't forget anything?

I think it started out innocently enough, cause they weren't making the big money yet and weren't well known at all. I don't think any of them thought the book or show would be as popular or a money-maker.

But, yes, people do get paid for best sellers and block-buster movies, should they stop making them all? Their birth was a novelty for the state and their town , so they did exploit the birth, I guess, in a way.

Not to hurt the kids tho, like Kate's letters to the kids' book did! The show damaged them more with Kate's behavior, but I think a yearly special would have been more appropriate. The fame bug bit Kate really good and it was all downhill from there.....

But, what do I know!

Quick shut-out...Thanks preesi for posting the article on your site!

I completely agree. It's more appalling that Kate's complaint was about maintaining the LAVISH lifestyle the show gave them, not a concern about keeping food on the table or a roof over their heads. Like many American families still face. She's crying poor because they might not have that extravagant lifestyle for much longer. What a slap in the face to struggling Americans who were laid-off and are still unemployed!

This was the only good part in the article:
[Speaking about the kids' future in tv.] "Give the kids a break, that's fine," [Kate] says. "Check back in with us when they're teenagers."

Hopefully, those kids really get a break from filming. Although, I wonder if she said this to make it seem like it was her idea, not the fact that Jon refuses to give his parental consent on future tv contracts.

Let's hope the Gosselins are forgotten stars by the time those kids are teenagers. I'm hoping for the best for these kids, because the last thing I want to see is a reality show about the Gosselin kids as spoiled, messed-up teenagers.

In some of the comments about Kate's advice, some people were stating that you should start fluids right away (or at least I believe that's what I read). I wasn't sure, looked it up and posted the links because, just as Kate could have been posting erroneous information, so can others and whether we like it or not, people with or without health insurance do look to the internet for advice and will continue to do so. Again, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do, but it is what it is.

ITA that people should call 911, their doctor or health plan nurse when in doubt rather than combing the internet and that has been the good that has come out of this situation. Kate didn't advise it, but that should be anyone's caveat whenever they give advice, whether online, face to face or in a handbook.

Tamara,
I thought you sounded a little angry, but that's just my take, sorry. I thought you were a little harsh about Beth more than Kate mostly! Beth was very good to Jon and Kate in the early days.

She used to take all 8 kids every Friday to give her a break. She baby-sat a lot, so they could go out. Bob used to do a lot, too, photography ,house fix-ups,etc.too.

I don't think they had the lights in their house at all and this was before the fake Christmas, rainy zoo visit or any of that. The tups were just walking when she baby-sat so Kate and Jon could go on that trip, can't remember if it was the hair plug trip or not.

Beth and her daughter went along on that trip where Kate lost it on the plane, to that ski lodge. Kate got mad at Beth about something and left abruptly, so she most likely didn't know how to help Kate properly! Kate treated Beth and Carla like her slaves while she did nothing.

Instead of fighting, Beth just quietly left.It was around that time that TLC offered to pay both Beth and Kate's brother Kevin for their time on camera . Kate said no one but her and Jon were going to make money off their kids!

Until then, everyone helped them out from the goodness of their hearts, while Jon and Kate did get paid. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Tamara,
I meant I didn't think there were ever lights installed in Beth's house, not Jon and Kate's. You could be right about Friday's babysitting, but I watched in the early days and Beth was her best friend and babysat those kids a lot. The twins like sleeping on the rug in the bathroom. Carla was the twins' friend .Jon did work for Bob for a short time.

Beth and Jodi were treated like slaves by Kate in that Kate gave orders and expected everyone to jump and obey her,as she sat in her white plastic throne. She invited them on trips and then expected them to do all the work for her kids, like a slave. I never heard her thank anyone for anyone, it was just expected by Kate.

I guess servants would be a better word, but that's what came to me at this time of night!Sorry for my non- PC behavior, your majesty....kate also did not care about anyone else's plans, if she wanted you to do something, then Beth and Jodi or whoever, was expected to change their plans.

I think both Jodi and Beth were offered pay by TLC, since taping was done in both their houses. I can't see why they wouldn't? I remember at Beth's house, the tups would just walk/run all over her house all day long in circles.Wonder how she could look after Kate's kids and hers without 2 nannies??? hmmmm...

They were just walking then, not potty trained, as this is where they put the potties outside by Jon and Bob so they woulsn't have to run inside constantly.Beth used to bake with the twins, too.

Beth took Kate to spas, and Kate wanted Beth's life as they were wealthy. Kate wanted it without working for it though. Beth also had a big house, sportscar and beautiful clothes. She was way too nice to be shit on by Kate, but she took advantage of everyone's kindness to her.

All these things I'm writing are what I remember, not solid facts written in stone at all.....Some days, I can't remember my own name, so be easy on me and don't bark please. I'm very sensitive!Going to bed, no brain left now, good night.

I think Jon has every right to defend himself.Kate has been free to say anything about Jon.We all know that kate has fed the kids LIES about thier father.Jon should be able to defend himself. The kids have lived this...they know everything....They need to know that thier dad tried to fight for them.
Funny that Jon wants to be with his kids every chance kate ALLOWS him to be.Jon dosent have nannys...or sitters..or a crew telling him what to do.He just enjoys being with his children. They play...and hang out...dosent seem to bother the kids if they sleep in sleeping bags. They are just happy to be away from the cameras.NO pressure from dad to fake a smile and give a great interview for the couch!

But I cannot imagine being in his shoes. She's on a talk show, in a magazine, or twittering some dig at him almost every week for what two years? It has to be SO FRUSTRATING to sit back and bite your tongue.

If he felt he had to do it - I think he at least did it in a respectful manner ... unlike K8.

As for her nursing career - She acts like she has to go back to actual hands on scheduled shift nursing?!

There are thousands of positions for RNs that involve NO patient contact and a regular 8 hour shift Mon-Fri. Try PI, QA, D/C planning, Education, Home Health, Home Hospice, Dr. Office, etc etc etc!

She really needs to bone up on the profession! K8 is a Dumba**!

The family law case should be set up to appear that Kate is the one spouting off to the press like a crazy pants, and Jon is quietly busting his butt making a good life for the kids. In the long run, the quieter, more reasonable, nose to the grindstone parent often eventually prevails. May not be right away, but they will.

I have to disagree with your statement. Jon HAS been laying low for some time; a very long time. Jon's statement seemed to have been made within the limitations of the court order. Jon said that himself.

Public opinion on this site and a few others may be swaying toward Jon but who knows what 'actual' public opinion in his hometown really is; could be still all things Kate.

The courts have shown over and over and over that they favour Kate over Jon and I do not think Jon laying low is going to change that. I think it is only fair that Jon made that statement to 'clear the air' about nasty rumours.

I do hope now that he has made that statement it will be the last one he makes. If he makes any more in defence of what Cruella makes then it will look tit for tat but up to now it has not been that way.

About a sheeple practicing identity theft posing as a relative of Kate sharing insider information on how wonderful she is, Kate tweets "thanks for your support". Huh? It is fraud Kate, it is illegal, and you have been bitching on twitter for months about all the lies told, all the stories invented, all the people claiming they know you when they don't have access to you or your family. You've said your security team and TLC are shutting these folks down. Keeping an eye on things. And now here is your prime opportunity to be that watchdog over identity theft affecting your family but because the liar is saying nice things about you, you let days go by without comment and then come out with that?
So I take it then that you do condone telling lies and falsehoods and lies by omission, which isn't very Christian of you, Kate, but likely explains why when asked if you get paid by People magazine you play semantics and tell yourself" well, it is not lying because they asked about the interview, not if I get paid for the licensing of photos taken in my home", Which is the very same logic you use to deny having a household staff - if you don't call them nannies you think people figure a "babysitter" is only around for part of the day. And if you don't talk about the gardener, the pool maintenance guy, the driver, the assistant, people will just figure you are all alone when you whine about being a single parent. Cause that is what a single parent is, Lying Kate, it is someone alone in a household with their children with no live-in help and no ex-husband paying child support and sharing custody. I hope one day a Single Mom March will happen in your honour where mothers march against scum like you who use their plight to garner sympathy, donations, jobs, freebies. You've had the floor Kate, you've claimed you were going to set records straight, clean up lies told about you, defend the truth, and all you have done is lie, bullshit, fabricate, steal. Yes, I consider it theft begging donations from churches and fans when you don't need the help. Well you do need help but it is of the mental health variety, hopefully you will seek out such treatment without further delay.

Just a few thoughts: I am a nurse. The protocol is to wait ONE HOUR after the vomiting episode,THEN offer a TINY sip of water/gatorade (brand doesn't matter people). Electrolyte solution. IF that stays down, offer a tiny bit more in ten minutes, and on from there.
No food .
Secondly: I work every weekend so I can have all weekdays off, as I have five kids at home and many responsibilities here. My goal is to get a position to work every OTHER weekend. Which is standard in healthcare, btw. KHate could work the every other wknd. on the times she doesn't have her eight count'em - 8!- kids.
Administrative nursing jobs are usually salaried and don't require off-hours, unless you are on call.
Also, I have only just partially read this thread in two days but if Jon gave some interview (Finally) speaking out and asserting that he indeed DOES PAY SUPPORT to that Witch; then good for him! You can only sit back and watch yourself and reputation be impugned for so long!

I am just a non-involved reader here. A lot of the drama I just let go on by. However when I read the original posting saying Kate will probably come up with a mysterious pain and work that, I did immediately think the post was a very thinly veiled attack on Hippie. I am reasonably able to draw inferences and I believe that post was inferring. No, not directly attacking but that doesn't seem to be the way troll arguments are carried out. So, when you say Not everything is about you, you are not giving Hippie credit for having a reasonably intelligent brain which can draw reasonably intelligent inferences. The post sounded very much like it was about her. Maybe not everything is about her, but I'm betting that post was.

All this talk about the vomiting advice is funny. I did my fair share in the vomit arena. I had never, ever been told a time limit to hydrate. It was always hydrate "as soon as they keep it down" 30 min? Sometimes, 1 hour? sometimes. The important thing, told to me, was to hydrate ASAP. Anyway it worked for MY kids. None died. A specific time limit was just never told to me. Doesn't mean it was wrong either. It worked for ME.

The POINT is this, Kate is an RN. She has a liability if something is really wrong with that child and she gives advice, without the caution to call the doctor. The second thing is why are would someone even ask a stranger, on the net for advice. I have in the past asked friends of mine what did they do in a certain instance, but I knew them and always followed up if needed with our ped.

Google and get some expert advice, plenty of websites out there. All websites I have seen has the advice, CALL YOUR DOCTOR.

Mama Mia, just so you know, not all lawyers are making big bucks and interested in cleaning house on their clients.

I am salaried, so it makes no difference to me whether a client spends 20 minutes working with a lawyer or 20 days I get paid the same. Salaried is a lot of direction a lot of firms are going these days, as it takes away the pressure of billing hours and the incentive to bill more than a client really needs.

Also, there are many public interest family law firms out there, and many lawyers who offer sliding scale fees for those who cannot afford it. And still more that do tons of pro bono. I have done family law pro bono on a few cases actually for various reasons, I don't know of any coworker who hasn't.

I just want you to know I know some family law lawyers out there, a lot actually, who have a real passion for helping people through hard times like this and aren't in it for the money.

Kate was just on last month or so, and now again, for the end of the show.
I don't get it. I've never seen any other show, reality or otherwise, have so many appearances.
How does she finagle all these appearances? I't can't be that the Today show is just dyin' to have her on, it has to be coming from Kate's camp.

Several who hate Jon has related their bitter tales of divorce, "It happened to me too". Many do sound like they have gone through this, and takes it personal that Jon saw other women. PLUS Kate has egged this on too. Many take their cue from her. The extreme hatred is stupid, they don't even consider the fact the man was banished to the garage apartment. I do not in any condone cheating when married, but frankly, what was a red blooded young man suppose to do? They were separated, not legally, but he was banished. Plus Kate KNEW Jon was going out, she said that. I don't think she gave a fig either

Catherine, I agree lawyers are sometimes necessary,my point is the constant nagging to watch what one says at risk of being sued, and to watch their step, at risk of being sued, and to limit their liability at the risk of being sued pretty much sums up where we went wrong with the justice system. When someone can successfully sue a restaurant for burns suffered from the patron spilling hot coffee in her lap as she drives away we've gone too far. Besides the law is an expense most of us can't afford to access, and that makes it bad in my eyes. And didn't all conclude Sylvia Lefair quit her legal proceedings against Kate because it was too expensive? The only folks who win are the trial lawyers.

The thing with Beth's book is it was written long before this mess really got out of control. I don't think anyone here thought initially, if you were around in the beginning, that filming these kids was that detrimental to them. It was only after we realized how much they were being filmed, saw WHAT they were starting to film (the constipation, etc) info came out they weren't paid, and so on, did people start speaking out in masses.

That book was written before this thing really got out of control, and my sense is Beth was doing them a big favor for probably way less than what a "real" author would make by helping them tell a story and write a best selling novel that would make them money to support the family, back when they truly DID need money to support the family as TLC wasn't paying them that much.

There are plenty of books out there written by parents about their remarkable children. One of my favorites is Rex Lewis Clark's mother's book about him. Kathleen is a friend of mine. Rex is an autistic little boy who is gifted at piano. I have observed her first hand with Rex for five years, she lives for him and his needs and wants, she essentially gave up what could have been a lucrative career for him. AND, she's a true single mom. His father abandoned him at three years old when he was diagnosed and he couldn't handle it. Exploited is the absolute last word I would pick to describe how she is raising what is now a young man. So no, I don't think simply writing a book about remarkable kids is exploitive.

Now had Beth jumped into this mess NOW, after we all can see how exploited they have been and how any more exposure at this point is just darn sick, I would sing a different tune.

No one knew the extent back then. I would have started this blog a lot earlier had I known.

My thoughts, and I am not involved in PR, are that these shows have to have somebody on. They can't necessarily get the A listers they want when they want so they have to settle for something like Kate. The show has to go on, even if they have no good guests, so I guess their motto is a body is better than nobody. Kate is likely their last pick.

Whatever happened, I get the inpression that there was a lot of hurt with the banishment of Beth. Watching old episodes, you can clearly tell they were friends. There was a comfortable, easy, loving element to both towards each other. That made me sad, whatever happened to stop the friendship. I have no doubts that it was Kate who ruined it.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Mama Mia I don't mean to start a back and forth but do you know the details of Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurant, the hot coffee incident? I think it would shock you, as it is nothing how the media made it out to be.

The victim was 79-years-old and at the time, McDonalds standard was to serve coffee at 180–190 degrees, a temperature that would cause third degree burns if it ever spilled. She did in fact suffer third degree burns including burns to her vagina and had to have skin grafts--we all have spilled at some point at home, but when was the last time you needed a skin graft for it? It came out that the industry standard was 140 degrees, significantly lower. Prior to this incident, McDonalds had received over SEVEN-HUNDRED COMPLAINTS about people being burned to severely burned by their coffee, had already settled with several people in amounts totaling half a million dollars--but still refused to lower their temperature. THEY KNEW people were getting seriously injured and THEY KNEW their coffee was way hotter than other places were making it. McDonalds rather sounds like Kate, ignoring so many people telling her she is doing something wrong and continuing to trudge on doing things HER WAY.

As you can see, it was not a frivolous lawsuit at all, but rather it was necessary to finally get McDonalds to LISTEN to 700 people and 700 burn injuries and to PLEASE lower their temps. For some reason this story is the go-to example for frivolous lawsuits when it fact, it really wasn't.

I don't sue people. I defend people who are sued. The public perception about what the vast majority do on a daily basis, if it is what you are saying, may be very skewed. For 99% of lawyers, absolutely nothing has to do with seeking out frivolous lawsuits, and in fact most laws have built in protections against those--you can be held in contempt for filing something silly.

When little kids ask what I do, I proudly say I help people with their problems.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

You know, look at it this way.

Had McDonalds simply listened to the 700 complaints prior to this incident and lowered their temps, lawyers never would have gotten involved and we would never have a hot coffee case to laugh about.

McDonalds forced lawyers to finally get involved when they never needed to be had they simply listened to the 700 complaints and lowered their temps. Experts demonstrated that even a 20-30 degree lowering of temps could mean as long as you wipe the spilled coffee off right away, there would be no serious burns.

You are going to want lawyers around when big businesses think they can just do whatever the hell they want despite 700 people telling them they were hurt, many of them seriously.

Bluenoser said...

Admin, re the McDonald's lawsuit. This may be an urban legend in Canada but we heard that the woman who was burned actually put the hot coffee between her legs and drove away from the drive thru and thus got burnt. Can you clear this up for us please. I have to say if it is true then that lawsuit was, to me, frivilous because nobody in their right mind puts hot coffee between their legs.

"Administrator said...Mama Mia I don't mean to start a back and forth but do you know the details of Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurant, the hot coffee incident? I think it would shock you, as it is nothing how the media made it out to be. "

HBO had a documentary about that not long ago. they even showed the pictures of that woman's injuries. WOW, she had some horrific burns. The photos were very graphic.

People who thought the lawsuit was frivolous were interviewed before seeing the pictures, then re-interviewed after seeing them. ALL of the people changed their minds. All of them. That woman was so severely burnt. A huge area had severe burns. The horrible burns, combined with all the complaints they had gotten convinced many people that it was not frivolous at all. McDonald LIED and said they knew of no problems or complaints.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

The coffee cup was between her legs but she wasn't driving. She was taking the lid off to put creamer in. I see people all the time in the passenger seat balance the coffee between their legs to do something to it like open the lid, this to me seems like normal human resourcefulness. I disagree no one in their right mind puts coffee between their legs--no one in their right mind would think coffee could give you third degree burns, IMO!

She was found 20% at fault, which is also a fact barely reported. The jury did say hey you should have been more careful taking off the lid. Fair enough.

But if I am being careless with a coffee cup, I still don't anticipate that it will give my vagina third degree burns. At most I would assume I'd get a big oochie. Not eight days in the hospital.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

A few more details, she wasn't even driving. Her grandson was, and he put the car in park so she could open the lid. Seems reasonable to me.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

No Regrets, yes McDonalds lied. If a corporation could be a narcissist they were!

How do you lie about this, don't you think people are going to wonder where that $500,000 went you had spent on OTHER burn settlements?

Hoosier Girl said...

We all know K8's time could be better spent ... say with her kids, volunteering, looking for a JOB.

But if she's going to waste it on Twitter - she could at least use her tweets to calm the anti-Jon sentiment. It would go a long way towards gaining some respect from her kids when they are old enough to see all this.

Divorce never leaves kids unscathed - but it can be done in a way that minimizes the damage.

I can't begin to imagine the things my son would have gotten by with as a teenager had his dad and I not talked almost daily! The G kids are going to play these two like fiddles in a few years!

Bluenoser said...

See, Admin, here in Canada that is a totally frivilous lawsuit. I don't know of anybody who balances hot coffee between their knees. Here we order coffee with the trims, etc, double/double, single/single, etc. We don't have to add creamers etc.

Locally a man tried to sue a large corporation's store because he fell over two dogs on leashes that were tied outside the store, and on store property. He lost. Judge said he should have been aware there were two dogs tethered outside the store, walked around them and entered the store as a normal human would. He tried to walk over the leashes and got snagged. Dumb is as dumb does I guess. We have very few frivilous law suits in NS thank God. God knows we need our justice system free for important things. To Canada, we view the US as an extremely litigious (sp) society with many frivilous law suits. To us it appears the plantiffs don't have to accept much responsibility for anything.

And if the kids were just playing and they love it, why would they need a "break"? Isn't that sort of admitting it WASN'T all fun and games and they DO need a break?

She traps herself every time.

Admin, Tim Hortons serves coffee that hot. They run a pot of coffee through the machine and set it at an extremely high temp and then run the same pot through again. I know this because I volunteered at a local Tim's for camp day as did co-workers. They have their coffee set extremely high and even a single/single is hot to touch through the cup. I always get my black coffee double cupped and then wait about 15 minutes to sip it. The tea, wow, hotter than the coffee. Here I guess it is common sense that you put your coffee in a cup holder and not between your legs. That is just asking for trouble.

No Regrets said...

The killer was the family only asked for McDonalds to pay the medical costs that weren't covered. They also asked them to lower the temp on the coffee and/or at least investigate it. She had to have several skin grafts. If I remember right, she had to have 5 skin grafts. They REFUSED to even pay a dime. Then lied about the previous complaints. It would have been settled, quietly, but McDonald's made it a huge deal.

She surely does trap herself. I noticed that comment too. She is just a contradiction. She KNOWS deep down she is working those kids. She protests way too much not to know

Hippie Chick I feel your pain. Well I used to. I lived with chronic pain for more than two years until I finally, woohoo, had my total hip replacement. Gone is the torture of bone on bone. I finally have my life back; still healing but every day is better.

If you have to go the cane route there are some really funky ones out there for women. Mine is a red plaid lol. One thing you might want to look at too is a walker. I scorned using one until I had to after my hip replacement. Now wondering why I didn't use one pending the hip surgery. It gives such great balance when walking.

I have a Tim Hortons in my hometown but have never been. Do you know the exact temp Tim Hortons makes the coffee?

130-50 degrees can feel SCALDING hot, but according to experts as long as you wipe it up within 10-20 seconds if it spills, you won't suffer third degree burns.

This lawsuit happened in 1992 when many cars did not have cup holders. The grandson's car was a Ford Probe, which in fact, did not have cupholders at least before 1995.

Towards the end of that train wreck didn't one of the twins curl up defensively on the couch for the couch interviews and then stopped showing up entirely for the 'chats' with the producer.

The Tims I go to brews coffee at 175 degrees F. I can only imagine it is an industry standard here with all the franchises. Love my Timmy's!!

Kate is going to be on Wendy Williams show, monday. I see, Kate is appearing on the secondary talk shows, what no View? We all know she will bitch, whine, complain and cry foul, that, I am a poor single mom raising 8 kids and have no money, but I did buy a new car, go and get tanned, spa, hair and bought about 5 pairs of new hooker heels, and probably is getting, money and stuff from idolizing sheeple fans, not to mention, I have a mansion, 2 other cars, 26 acres, my kids go to private school and I have paid nannies, house cleaners, pool cleaners, people who take care of the property, a bodyguard etc,and child support from that ex who I throw under the bus, whenever possible(makes for good drama). But I'm as poor as the people who are unemployed, who have in some cases, lost their house, and some are living pay check to pay check, making about a 1/10th of what I make, and have in some cases more or less kids than my 8, who are so hard to handle, and spend time with, thank God for my terrible situation, but I do have to maintain me. So I will go on any talk show that will have me and listen to my hardship life, and whine about it and see how much gifting I can get. Then go on twitter and cry to my sheeple followers and bash Jon, and they just love me. While I laugh at them in my mansion on my bed, with my 'brand' rubbing my feet and back, telling me: how much they love me, just short of calling me MOMMIE DEAREST!

In the RV episode, when they were at the Grand Canyon, Kate comments about wasted land, what about the 26 acres, you have Kate, you don't farm it, or let cattle graze on, your not building houses on it, so why have so much land for, isn't that a waste of land?

I will bet the farm the Tim Horton's coffee cup at least says something like VERY HOT USE CAUTION. :-)

If you're going to make coffee that hot that is another way to make sure people don't hurt themselves, remind them hey this coffee is hotter than you are used to be careful. Had that woman realized oh wow this coffee is way hotter than normal coffee, maybe she would have asked her grandson to help her get the lid off or something.

Also I imagine in 1992 coffee lids weren't as well made and might not have popped off as easy as they do today, back then increasing risk that you fumble when trying to pry it off.

Top Moments: Rescue Me's Happy Ending, Kate Gosselin's Food Fight and Kimmel's Teary Tribute

3. Worst Freak-out: And here we thought Donald Trump had bad pizza etiquette. Kate Gosselin rips her babysitter, Ashley, a new one on Kate Plus 8 for giving pizza to her kids instead of saving a slice for Kate's bodyguard, Steve. "He reserved it last night," she says. (Uh, what?) Things escalate when Mady dares to hand over the last slice to Steve with her bare hands, causing germa-phobe Kate to flip out even more and Ashley to quit (you go, Ash!). All of that, of course, makes Kate the perfect candidate for Anderson Cooper's "RidicuList" segment, in which he cautions the now reality show-less mom: "If you somehow, against all odds, find a woman who's willing to help you take eight kids on a cross-country road trip, for goodness sakes, let her divide the pizza any way she wants." Amen.

Ha second rate show for sure. I wonder if she has heard Wendy making fun of her? She has talked about Kate like a dog. Especially when she was on DWTS. I have watched Wendy on occasion for the guests she has had on. Not for her. I really don't like her. She held up a picture of Susan Boyle of Idol fame. The very talented older lady from the UK somewhere. Wendy said while displaying her picture, "If this what we look like when we get old, then I don't want to get old" Mean nasty woman. That was just cruel. Wendy is NOT a gorgeous woman at all.

Where is the address to my new farm? I wish I was more tech oriented so I could scan my, now empty, cup of Tim's. On one side there is a small cup with "hot' on the drawing of the cup and below that "be careful". On the reverse the same thing except "chaud" and "attention" .

The remark Kate made about the Grand Canyon being wasted space shows her ignorance even more than ever.

One of our greatest natural wonders and she thinks it is 'wasted space'. What a moron. This woman is so incredibly unhappy and self centered. I wonder if she ever taught the kids exactly who was on Mt. Rushmore. Stupid idiot.

The photo that was chosen for this article of Kate and her children in Alaska (at the time) bothers me.

How easily it was for Kate to put on a bright, wide smile, even though one of her children was obviously distraught. Why was taking that picture more important that calming & comforting her child?

I can only hope the G8 are computer savvy enough to be able to keep in touch with Ashley. She seemed to be the one loving constant in their life other than their daddy. It was easy to see they adored her. I am sure if it had been Kate saying goodbye the kids wouldn't have batted an eyelash or noticed.

If I were his attorney I would be setting him up as the father who never goes to the press and never discusses the case and stays quiet. If he did this interview against that advice I'd be fit to be tied.

I usually tell clients not to talk to anyone, press, police, etc. If you don't say anything, they can't twist your words.
**************************

I havent read all the comments yet, so if I am being redundant here, I apologize.

I agree with you, Admin. I am a social worker who previously worked as an investigator with Adult Probate court. Not the same as with children, I know. I have been involved in some locally high-profile cases involving a great deal of money and power and that brings out the absolute worst in people. (Why is it that high profile "TV Lawyers" completly forget the state revised code when it comes to their OWN wealthy and elderly parents? LOL!) Still, the silent high road would have been a much better choice for Jon and nearly anyone else.

It is understandable how very hard it is to keep quiet when Kate gleefully violates the court order to not discuss matters, and lies about the children's daddy and his situation in public. But it 'looks' like he is dipping his toe in the mud with her. He was careful what he said, and nothing there looks like it would upset the children, other than the fact that he should not have spoken out at all. In my opinion, he was much better off remaining the TRUE 'high road taker'.

I saw that McDonald's coffee burning HBO documentary too. It was VERY eye opening. The media took the whole story and ran with it, but everyone here is right: the family only asked that they cover her medical expenses (she had several skin grafts in her vaginal area, she was burned almost to the bone!), there were no cup holders, the car was parked while she put her creamer in, her grandson described her screaming, pictures were shown of her burns, which happened when she was splashed. Imagine if she spilled the whole cup. It was horrific. They sort of implied she never fully healed before she died too.

Ummmm, how do you figure you win? They DO caution you to be careful. I couldn't possibly know exactly what exact words they use since I never go there, but you admit they do say be careful and hot. I keep my farm, thanks.

This is my point, if you DO make scalding hot coffee that could give your vagina third degree burns, then they at least warn folks. McDonalds never did. But I will concede Canadians are better at everything than Americans.

Admin, please don't go get all defensive on me. Sheesh. I actually had to look at the cup to see if there was a warning on it. If you look at the cup front on you will not see a warning. I had to specifically look for one and there it was, very tiny in English so I reckoned there had to be a French one as well, yup on the other side, again tiny. Ok so the warning is there but unless you look for it you won't see it because your hand will cover it when you pick up the coffee.

Hippie Chick said...

Dunkin Donuts has a warning on their cups: Warning: Extremely Hot Contents.

I don't know how this topic was brought up, but even if DD does it, then you know there was an incident somewhere at sometime. Just the other day, I heated up a cup of coffee. Our coffee pot had JUST shut off & I didn't realize it. I put the cup in for 45 seconds. I barely sipped the coffee & it was scalding hot. Ouch!

So, what happened? Why all the talk about Hot Cup warnings? Did Kate burn her tongue on her latte or mocha or something & cry on twitter?

Mel said...

Hey Kate! Think about this!

A good mom speaks of others in a way that makes us think well of that person.

A bad mom speaks of others (however subtly) in a way that makes us think less of that person.

Which are you?
Which one makes their kids proud?

To her children Kate will be one of two things. A good example OR a horrible warnings. As they get older I am sure the unaffected children will see her as a horrible warning. It would not surprise me if one of the twins views her that way already. You simply cannot skate through life treating everybody you come across so badly and expect not to have backlash. How can one woman carry so much anger with her at all times?

No Regrets said...

If I had someone who lied about being related, I would not be so 'kind' as to 'thank them' for their 'support'. Is this woman SO desperate for anyone who sucks up to her?

I don't get their 'logic'. I really don't get the mind set of these people. To attack Iwanna because he wanted to confirm something is so stupid. He was thrown the wolves because he dared to talk to the 'haters', trying to make peace.

I am quite sure they will believe this false relative that is not Ashley. Forget the fact she LIED and was devious posing as a family member. LOL

Thank GOD I don't get the mindset.

I've never even heard of Wendy Williams. Way to go Kate! I think the reason she keeps showing up on Today is because TLC is promoting THE SHOW, and they are hoping when people see that entitled, smug faced, arrogant, grimacing face of Kate they will want to watch so they can see if she is really as bad as she appears. For TLC, it is all about the money and more viewers means more advertising bucks and therefore more money in their pockets.
