Kate and the kids seen filming at Target

A few bystanders spotted the continued filming in Target over the weekend.

Think maybe you are out of touch. Mom of 3 teens. Two which drive. All of their friends got their license ASAP. I don't know any teens that haven't.

I agre,e Milo is out of touch, which is yet another reason I'm not sure I believe she has teens. In recent years I've yet to find a single teen who blabbed on and on about getting their driver's license or was first in line. In fact most teens I know have delayed getting their license 6, even 12 months or more after they were eligible. I did ask a couple of them why they waited and they both said I'm scared to. They were boys, too. They didn't elaborate and I didn't press the issue and embarrass them.

I do think you have hit the nail on the head that it's at least partly because they are so connected already, they don't crave the connection that a license brought our generations because they already have that. I also think the helicopter generation plays a role, with kids being raised to be much more tied to the apron strings and reluctant to take on such a big responsibility.

It could be financial too. They would rather spend the money on iPhones and goPros than all the costs of car ownership many parents will require them to contribute at least in part to. My how things have changed.

Shrug. As i've just posted, I found exactly the opposite. Exactly the opposite.

It could be demographics as well, I suppose. Both Kate and I live in quite wealthy communities where every kid has an iPhone and nannies to shuttle them around. There is no need for a license.

I'm convinced she doesn't after her comment about kids getting their license and driving on their 16th birthday. She has no idea about the licensing process these days.
Back when I turned 16, you went for your test and got your license. No permit or required hours with a licensed driver of a certain age.

Hmmmmmm, over 11K views on the #NookiePookie video but less than 30 comments. I guess if you're going to buy views you should go the extra mile and buy some comments to make the view count a little more believable.

When my son turned driving age we were stationed in AZ (Ft. HUachuca). He couldn't wait to drive because there's no mass transit available and nothing was within walking (or bike riding) distance. I guess it depends on where you live as to whether or not you want that license. Me? I didn't need to drive in New Jersey/New York and didn't even learn until I was married and living in Germany. Maybe Milo's kids were dying to get their licenses to escape her.

Tucker's Mom said...

I got my license at 18. I had friends and an older brother who drove. I didn't have a car and had no means of buying one. We didn't buy kids their own cars back in the day, so my access was pretty limited.
When I got the urge, I pulled the trigger. Otherwise, there was always a ride, or my bike.

I know an almost 17-year-old girl who uses Uber regularly to go out and do things with her friends. She's taken driving lessons, but is in no hurry to get her license. Her parents even have an old car she'll be able to drive, but she's not ready to pay insurance, gas, maintenance, etc.

Nicky said...

Well MaryMary - agree to disagree. Our experiences may be vastly different.

No need to be condescending.

MikeB said...

My experience matches Admin's. My sister, who is about 10 years younger than me, had no interest in getting her license. Dad had to practically force her to learn before she graduated high school so she could drive herself to college.

My nephew was a senior before he got his license and my niece is about to turn 17 and is just going to get her learner's permit.

Kids care more about social media now. The are happy to stay at home as long as they have their school friends up on whatever the app of the day is.

I also don't think Kate is going to let Cara and Mady out driving on their own for quite a while and they know it. What is the point in getting a license if all you can do is drive around the compound.

That seals the deal for me. Most if not all states have a complicated licensing process these days, logging hours, probationary periods, and even classes. She would know that if she had or were at least around teens.

Even when I was a teen there was an extensive and involved probationary period. You can't just turn 16 and show up at the DMV and you're licensed.

I don't think I was licensed until six months after I was 16, even though I was diligent about pursuing it. It takes time to log the hours.

Milo's only point of reference is when she was 16, you knock on the door of the DMV take a test and they hand you the license.

Deliverence said...

When I got my license at sixteen, eons ago I had to first get a learner's permit at 15 1/2. When sixteen, I took the tests, written and driving, and got my license. No knocking on the DMV door and getting a license.

But later when I moved to the burbs and had kids I needed to drive. As a parent you automatically become a chauffeur to all those games, practices, play dates, lessons. Or at least most parents...

I grew up in New York and I don't recall it being a requirement to get a license. But, it did drastically lower insurance rates and did a good job with teaching kids the ropes of driving, so in my house, it was required.

Therefore, I had to wait for the driver's ed class to happen, which was only twice a year. My birthday fell in the middle of the second year's session, so I had to wait until next school year, an eternity for a 16 year old.

Milo really would know of all these delays and hiccups if she had kids.

Tucker's Mom said...

I never took drivers ed, but I had older friends who taught me. Maybe my mom or dad took me around a parking lot? Not sure. I just remember driving around my neighborhood with friends.
I was a bit tentative about driving , really. I remember being a bit freaked out the first time I was driving a car all alone. It felt sooooooo weird!

I think driving rules and regs are much more liberal in the South. For example, one of the Duggars recently got his learner's permit---at 14! And I've read of plenty of places where a permit can be obtained at 15. So I don't think this means Milo doesn't have kids.

Philly 4 for 4 said...

I believe that the permit age limit may be around 15 down south. Even if it is not, sometimes people say things as a joke. There is no need to jump all over Milo.

Having kids of this age, I can say, some are ready to drive and some are not. Even with the availability of public transportation and social media, kids in my area are jumping to get there license. You can tell by the HUGE backlog in scheduling testing dates, and by seeing the packed school parking lots.

Drivers Ed is not required to get your drivers license; however, it is offered through some schools.

Kids in our area LOVE using UBER. Yes, people use UBER when for a night out, but in my area it is a balanced use of UBER. I believe the person scheduling the UBER ride needs to be over 18 years of age. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to use it when traveling with my youngest son.

In my opinion, having taught "multiples" to drive, my advice to Kate would be to hire a drivers ed service. Depending on the driver trainee, the stress level can be very hieght for the trainee and trainer.

I don't understand the need to jump on Milo ALL of the time. Relax :)

In PA you can show up at the DMV on your 16th Birthday and take the learners test. You pass the computerized test and then you receive your permit. The driving requirements come after you receive your permit.

The girls turned 16 on Saturday, and if they had the medical form completed they could have legally taking the permit test that day.

I helped my niece learn to drive a few years ago. In her friend group, they got their permits almost right away but getting the actual license was really staggered. So many factors with getting the hours of practice and paying for everything.

Berks County has only one DMV office in Shillington. It is quite busy and a pain to go to. You can make an appt for the permit test. I don't know how far out they're booked. With their school hours I only see Saturday. Maybe if she picks them up at the end of school in Lancaster and goes to the Lancaster DMV. After that they need 65 hours of driving, including night and bad weather. You must present a log of this driving and have your parent attest it is true when you go for the driving test. You also must drive for 6 months before the driving test. You can hire a service to help you learn to drive. I consider this a good thing. Many kids also take an online course that results in an insurance discount (we used to get this in school). This can all take longer than 6 months when you also have school work and activities.

I hope Kate does hire someone to teach the kids to drive. We've all heard of her antics while driving. Instead, I fear we'll get an episode where the kids drive down the driveway while Kate screams helplessly and then Mady stomps away.

Do many high schools still offer driver's ed? I took it in high school and got my license at 16, but none of my kids' schools have offered it. They have all had to have private lessons.

I remember I couldn't wait to drive, but my kids have not been so anxious to learn. Perhaps it's due to the area in which we live. Driving around the DC area is not fun--not a bit. My eldest son learned to drive when we were in Germany, but then we moved to Japan, where you drive on the left side of the road. Then we moved to the US, and he had to learn to drive on the right again. Poor guy! I wouldn't wish that on any new driver.

Oh yes, I foresee a driving episode, with Kate screeching and flapping in the passenger's seat. In the end, after lots of filmed drama, she'll announce that she decided to leave the chore to an instructor because she can't risk dying--she has 8 kids to raise.

I'm a nervous wreck until they all arrive safely. Driving around here is a blood sport, and road rage is a real concern. How I wish we lived in PA, where it isn't so dangerous to drive! Foot rub gate is dysfunctional in and of itself but to now hear the kids think feet are gross, as many people do, adds a whole other level of dysfunction to them massaging their mother. So they DO think it's gross, but felt obligated to please her I suppose? That's not right.

If Kate were a man, that would be called grooming behavior. Double standard.

I think she's cat fishing someone else's kids. She could easily be Facebook friends with a neighbor, sibling, sister-in-law, and be swiping kid photo from them. She might even spend time with those kids in person and take her own photos. She has adopted the identity of that person and literally stolen their kids. If someone were ever able to sleuth that one out they should let the real mother know.

Out of curiosity I was looking at state driving laws today as I know they have been changing lately, and NO state, including Arkansas, allows an unrestricted license until you are at least 16, with most states going to 17 and even 18! That's great, since you're much more likely to get in an accident at a younger age.

All states these days are putting several restrictions on drivers under 16. Milo would know about all these hoops if she had kids.

I did notice she told some made up story about how her daughter got tickets, and was really ragging on her. I don't think that's funny or something to use as fodder on instagram. If her daughter really is getting speeding tickets at only 17, she really needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out what's going on.

I was going to make one more point about the twins and their lack of activities. The twins are disrespectful, that's the truth of it. They act spoiled and entitled. They say things that should mortify any parent. A major point of keeping kids that age busy and engaged, is socialization. They still need it, and need a lot of it. If anyone out there still thinks it's just fine and dandy for the girls to sleep away the weekend instead of getting up and going to sports practice, or cooking classes, or study group, look at their behavior. Their lack of socialization has done them no favors. They are spending way too much time with Kate and the cameras, and not enough doing normal teen activities.

I have long suspected Milo resides in GA. As a former resident I can tell you that if a teen gets A speeding ticket, your license is confiscated at juvenile court, not traffic court, and the driver also pays a fine, She paid it from her work money. I do not recall how long my daughter's license was confiscated for, but was MONTHS because I was her driver everywhere. I cannot speak to what happens to repeat teen offenders. She was 16 and only had her license for a short time. I cannot recall if her license was considered suspended or not. I do not believe Milo has teens. It's all made up.

Quite awhile ago, someone posted she was ok, but was staying away for some reason, but we never heard anything more from or about her.

I hope she's doing well because she had many serious health problems and I hope she'll check in when she can. The Redbird I and the OP are thinking of is a big fan of older sitcoms, Hallmark movies; she's a staunch supporter of the G-8 and was a welcome figure on the veranda.

From all of the reports I've read, Amber alerts were issued all along his trek north. Alerts were supposedly issued in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama and it was because of a flyer about the Amber alert that the security guard at the hospital was able to identify the girl.

This family is so lucky to have their beautiful daughter back. I think the Amber Alerts were key in bringing her home, especially so quickly, and of course the public who paid close attention to them.

I have long believed that Milo does not have children. Remember back when people were discussing Mady crying in the photo from Alaska? Milo chimed in and said, "Who cares why she was crying?" That did it for me. No mother would dismiss a crying child by saying, "Who cares?". Mothers are caregivers. Mothers care. So do most other people, but not Milo.

I believe Milo is a catfish. He/she is claims to be a mom in order to pretend that he/she can relate to Kate.

As far as tickets are concerned, one of my teen sons got two speeding tickets and had to go to court. He got a stern lecture from the judge about driving safely, and had to go to driver's improvement class. The part he really hated--the judge told him to write an essay about the injuries that can be sustained in accidents at different speeds. And he had to pay a fine. His license was not suspended because he did everything he was told to do, and he has not gotten a ticket since. But teenagers speeding is not so easily brushed aside. I can't imagine that Milo's "daughter" would be able to just walk away without some sort of consequences. Milo just wanted a story to tell to get Kate's attention.

Do any of you who are parents ever take pictures of the backs of your kids' heads? If I did that, my boys would ask what the heck I'm doing. And if I said I was going to post them online, I know they'd think that was creepy.

There was one picture that Milo took of her "daughter", and the girl was walking along a path, and was a long distance ahead of Milo. It was odd, because if the girl were walking with her mother, why would she be so far ahead? Wouldn't she stop and wait for Mom to catch up? The girl seemed oblivious, and the photo was very creepy. And the photo of her son's toy truck in the yard…the boy was supposedly about 17 or 18 at the time, yet his childhood toy was still sitting in the yard after all those years? Don't they ever mow?

Without bringing politics to the table, it's been five days since the Access Hollywood tape has been made public. I know TFW doesn't keep up with current events, but she is probably aware of the rumours of more lewd comments on unseen Apprentice tapes, I wonder if TFW is hoping further tapes surface and, if she is targeted, it will give her a chance to respond (another People cover possibly).

If that is Milo's son, she is the biggest hypocrite ever. She praises Kate up and down and supports selling the Gosselin kids' privacy, yet she doesn't ever reveal what her kids look like.
Why not? Is Milo afraid of other people -on social media and the internet in general-seeing what her kids look like? Does she think that puts them at risk? Does she think their privacy is important? Is she honoring their wish to remain private?

I'd love to know exactly why Milo NEVER shows her kids' faces on the internet.

If Milo indeed lives in Georgia, and I subscribe to that theory as well based on a comment she once made about her local weather, then Milo's daughter could be in serious, serious trouble for having three tickets.

Teen driving penalties are MUCh harsher than for adults:

"First, understand that if you have a learner's permit and get a traffic violation, you can't move on to the next phase. The period of 12 months leading up to the next phase must be violation free.
Second, if you accumulate 4 points in a period of 12 months, your license will be suspended. Some traffic violations are 4 points or more all by themselves. These include violations like reckless driving, aggressive driving, and speeding 24 to 33 MPH over the speed limit."

It's not funny ha-ha, your old man's insurance rates just went up. This is license-losing behavior. Milo is making this whole thing up.

That's not true. Child protective services does not have the resources to generally "watch" a large family. They don't have the money nor is it constitutional for the government to stake out your family just because it's large. It's very easy for a family to fly under the radar. Most abuse goes unreported.

As far as the doctors recommending he leave school, she should have hired an educational attorney to force the PUBLIC school to accommodate whatever his needs were, as required by law. Even if that meant he needs a one-on-one teacher and a class of three kids, the school would be required to provide it under the ADA.

A school that does not permit sibling visits should be shut down.

I never remember being so nervous. I don't know if this is still true but in New York State you have to parallel park, and if you were anything more than a foot from the curb it was an automatic flunk. Didn't matter if you aced everything else. We often thought it was a silly exercise since in our part of New York, if you need to parallel park you haven't hunted hard enough for a nice long open spot to drive straight into. In any case, it was required, and I practiced it and practiced it and was usually way too far from the curb. Magically, on the day of the test I absolutely NAILED IT. Total fluke.

To this day I still may need to parallel park a couple times before I get it right. Yet I can't believe on the day of the test it worked out.

Like apparently you automatically cannot be a ten if you have small boobs. So there goes my hopes and dreams. With all my automatic deductions, I'm afraid I'm at best a 4, and that's on a good day.

I miss the good ole days where you could log onto HotorNot.com in your college dorm and giggle over a couple cheap beers as you clicked which of two classmates (you might actually recognize) were hotter. It was similar to what Mark Zuckerberg set up in his college days. In hindsight I imagine there would be a heck of a lot of pearl clutching over those sites, but that site was HUGE, I'm talking entire campus was on it, but we all eventually moved on and grew up.

I wonder if any of the current pearl clutchers, especially the clutchers in their 20's and 30's, remember that site and if they ever spent any time on it or laughed with someone else who did. Seems a bit hypocritical.

Kate understood very well that Trump responds to attractive women, and if you watched how she flattered him with her coquettish manner to gain his favor, you know she knew how to play the game with him.
Kate understands feminine wiles and uses them to get what she wants, so let's stop with the Puritanical protestations.
I don't know if Kate understands what she's actually getting into when she teases men. Men are sexual beings. Women are sexual beings. While many confine it strictly to the bedroom, both genders have their members who are perfectly willing to take sex out in public.

As long as there are people like Kate who respond to Trump's ministrations and encourage it, there will be no reason to lock one's sexuality in a closet. If we want to revert to a Puritan society, then both genders need to agree not to be sexual in public anymore. BOTH. That includes no flirting, no comments about people's appearance or bodies, no comments about who you would like to be sexual with. Nothing. Even comments you thought were private between two or three people must not be made. (Oh, and I'm not so sure it's healthy for warm blooded male and females to put sexuality under lock and key.)

Really scratching my head over the moral outrage on this one.

Oh, and the raunchiest things I've ever heard have been out of women's mouths.

I don't understand why laughter would ever enter into the conversation about a rape victim, and I've represented both rape victims and child molesters. It's not funny.

If you think you are choosing a candidate who has been good to women, you're living in a fantasy world. Laughing about the child rapist, threatening Broaddrick to shut up about her rape or else, numerous other statements from Bill Clinton's victims about what she did to them can be found all over the internet, part and parcel to covering up Bill's misdeeds. I met a lawyer who told me, because he was trained to argue 'both ways', his responsibility was to the person he represents. In other words, even if he knew someone was guilty, he would do all he could to represent the person's "not guilty" plea.

I recollect the O.J. trial. Cochrane et al had to know O.J. was guilty of murdering two people. The team pulled out all stops to ensure the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.

The object for lawyers is to "win". I am of the opinion Clinton, in securing a lesser sentence for her client, considered this a "win". Had she been prosecuting, I believe she would have requested and obtained a much greater sentence and that also would have been a "win".

It's my sense that Hillary was a very ambitious lawyer from the start, and this bravado and lack of sensitivity might have been part of the "boy culture" she was trying to show that she had the "stuff".
I can understand this, but she needs to show contrition. Even I, a non-lawyer, understand that your duty entails things that you might revile, but you execute your duties as sworn.
Most of us have immature and selfish moments that we would take back if we could. We grow and have regrets, and sometimes need to apologize.

I have no desire to discuss politics here or anywhere else online.

But politics aside, who else has been recorded or caught specifically bragging he could sexually assault a woman and get away with it? Who do you have in mind?

And not just in general. He just finished saying he kisses women whether they want to be kissed or not. He said as a star he could sexually assault them and they wouldn't do anything. That's more than just locker room banter. He didn't just say "I would like to..." What he said was on a whole other level.

Who else has been recorded saying such things?

As for Hillary laughing about the child rape, I think she was laughing more about how polygraph tests are laughable as evidence, from her own personal experience. That's how it seemed to me.

Bill Clinton makes me sick. Hillary makes me sick (for supporting her husband among other things), and Donald Trump makes me sick. They all make me sick. No one is better than the other on so many different levels.

So this comment isn't about "politics" for me.

We will in the end do what we have always done: vote based on our own issues. If your main issue is eliminating abortion or buying more guns or kicking out immigrants you'll vote for Trump. My main issue has to do with healthcare. I am convinced that Trump will eliminate my healthcare and disability payments and I will be dead in a year. I read about an interesting poll yesterday, I can't recall who it was conducted by, but I'm sure it could be easily googled. Among other things, they asked what Americans' top fear was---economic meltdown, terrorism, natural disaster, etc. For the second year in a row, 60% said "Corruption in our government." As heinous as Trump appears, I think the reason for his support is simply because he is not a Clinton. The election of HRC means, to most people (including myself), "business as usual" in DC. I for one have been very disturbed by the way our civil servants have now become this country's "elites." Government employees in 2016 have better insurance, pensions, and access (every time I think of the piles of money being made on the side by members of Congress, I want to scream) than any other segment of our society except for the 1%. The Clintons seem to have played a pretty large role in that, not to mention all of the people they employ who appear to have had second and third jobs as consultants outside the government which were, in effect, dependent on their government access (while at the same time being paid by the government!). This sort of thing did not happen 30 years ago. There used to be a much clearer line between public and private, and the blurring of it has not been to the advantage of most Americans.

Suffice to say, I think for a lot of people the fact that Trump is a Washington outsider is what makes him attractive. If nothing else, he would not walk in there and just accept "business as usual." As opposed to the Clintons, who have taken full advantage, in and out of government, of the status quo.

The "regret," I am sure, is simply part of the rebranding, trying to make a kinder, gentler Kate. This is not a woman who ever says sorry or ever feels that she has to say sorry. Remember, her kids were expected to apologize to HER after she beat the shit out of them. Based on the comments on her TLC FB page (where she is regularly called out for her bad behavior, and most people believe that's where Mady got it from), I am sure this is part of the new image she and TLC are crafting. It'll never be believable because nothing about her reality show is real. And people are, I think, catching on to that.

"I met a lawyer who told me, because he was trained to argue 'both ways', his responsibility was to the person he represents. In other words, even if he knew someone was guilty, he would do all he could to represent the person's "not guilty" plea."

Of course! That's the solemn duty a lawyer takes on. You represent the interests of your client, and it's not as hard as people think it is. Lots of people do the same even when a customer is being rude, or a patient is being uncooperative. You just keep doing your job. That's not the issue for me, although I understand some people think she shouldn't have represented him at all (People who don't understand the duty of a defense lawyer). But, there's a big but, you can still defend heinous people without being nasty about it to the people they hurt.

By the way, the best explanation I've ever heard of defense attorneys, and believe, is that you should support defense attorneys defending people zealously, because when it comes around and it's you and you didn't do it, that's what you want.

Nothing, nothing in our oath, requires a defense attorney to be hurtful and callous toward the victim and their family. Nothing requires us to be caviler, or to blab about a case to the press, or to laugh off certain aspects of it to the horror of others. Some play it that way naturally, but most I've met are respectful and dignified, never laughing or joking about such serious matters, and not bragging about wins that got guilty people off.

As to they're both scum double amen. Say what you like, but don't not cast a vote for Trump because you think you're getting someone with better morals and friendly to women. I can't even. The worst thing I can think that Hilary has done is having been friends with Trump. That is inexcusable. Things have changed for women in this century, and as this century progresses. Women are being believed more. Look at the Cosby case. These women held their secrets for decades.
I don't automatically discount a woman's story if she changes it. The psychological impact is very difficult to deal with, and you combine that with the position of women in society, historically, then you can begin to understand why women don't just come forward right away.
Especially when their abuser is in a position of power and the socioeconomic inequity is great.

True it's way too long of a process, I agree with that. There is nothing left to talk about so now it's a game of who has a more sordid past, an exercise I find tedious and ridiculous, given those two. That's why I say can't we just call a truce on both having nasty pasts when it comes to women and otherwise, and move on? It would be different if Trump really were up against someone who didn't have a long history of lies, ill treatment of women, cover-ups, and corruption, but that's not the case. So it becomes a kindergarten playground of he's nastier, no she's nastier! It's stupid.

But people keep saying oh what a nasty and embarrassing election and I keep making the point this really is nothing compared to many other countries. The problem is when is the last time our news reported on another country's election to even be aware of the rest of the political world? It's at best a footnote, so many Americans are completely unaware of how nasty it is abroad. Causing them to think, oh my goodness this is just awful! On the contrary, this is downright CIVILIZED compared to other elections.

When I go abroad, I was just in Europe last week, they report on all different countries' politics. The US, Africa, Asia. This week they were saying so many things about the goings-on in Africa I was like wha-whhat? Where is our news about this??

We are isolated politically, with most people only following our elections, and it causes a warped perspective. I also don't buy the "we're a laughing stock" abroad. No we're not, except among the rare places that are even more civilized than us, like Canada. Everyone knows we hold the cards, and even if they dare to snicker, they won't too loud. Plus with many other countries having very severe problems of their own, they idea that they would laugh at us is absurd. That won't be laughing when we sanction them or bomb them and they know it.

But politics aside, who else has been recorded or caught specifically bragging he could sexually assault a woman and get away with it? Who do you have in mind?

&&&&

Well, that's an unfair question, because very few other politicians have had microphones and cameras on them all the time as Trump has. IF Kennedy, Johnson, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, and a host of other perverts had microphones rolling on them all the time ten years before they became major political players, you can bet they would have nasty tapes too.

The fact that Trump happened to have some things recorded when others didn't, doesn't mean this behavior hasn't happened before and in fact according to multiple witnesses has indeed happened before with many, many other politicians.

Most only start getting recorded all the time when they get close to being president. By that time, the past is the past, unrecorded and forever gone, with only witnesses left to speak of what was said--and they have.

This is like the CSI generation. If it's not recorded, I don't believe it!! Whatever happened to WITNESS statements??? Why are they not to be believed?? I watched someone completely discount Broaddrick's statements outright, and it's troubling. She is telling the truth, but since there is no tape of it, I guess it didn't happen? The same happens with shootings. If there's no video of it usually it doesn't get much traction, with rare exceptions. The second there's a video, people go nuts.

The Jon and Ken show went on and on about this point the other day. They were like oh my god, look at Bill Clinton. Of course there are no recordings of it, but god knows how many witnesses have come forward to speak of his sexual assaults. And yet the youtube generation can't seem to process these disgusting facts because there's no recordings of it. But god damn, the second it's recorded, bring out the fainting couches!

Could you find some? I'm not sure what you're alluding to. The DM article is just a re-post of Jon's IG birthday wish to his girls, and old sh*t cobbled together from the past.

The problem is, that's exactly what Trump said about one of these latest allegations from women. Exactly.

"Jessica Leeds

Who is she: Leeds, now 74, was a traveling businesswoman at a paper company when she was seated next to Donald Trump on an airplane, according to the New York Times.

Claims: She says more than 30 years ago, she sat next to Trump in first class on a flight to New York. After takeoff, he lifted the armrest and began touching her—she says he grabbed her breasts and tried to put a hand up her skirt. “He was like an octopus,” she said. “His hands were everywhere.” She called the incident “an assault.”

Evidence: The Times says Leeds told this story to at least four people “close to her,” and that those people also verified the story to the Times. It is not clear whether anybody on the plane has corroborated the story.

Trump response: Trump’s lawyers have demanded a retraction of the New York Times story about Leeds and Rachel Crooks, calling it libelous. Trump tweeted that the story was a “fabrication” and said in a speech Thursday that Leeds’ story was “another ridiculous tale, no witnesses, no nothing.”

Just being a Devil's Advocate here.

I think most, like the VAST majority of people, who are going to vote, are decided. Unless their candidate has something apocalyptic revealed, this is all just poo slinging.
Again, the awful part of all of this is that the media is showing their bias(es) with all this pettifogging and "gotcha!"s and parading every single person who done been done wrong, that the real issues that we really, really need to be discussing, are buried in this pathetic morass of bullsh*t.

Well, I believe that woman, actually. I believe witness statements if they are credible. I also don't think it has anything to do with who is best to run this country, or somehow notches him below Hillary, who has been awful to women in her own right. For some, apparently it has everything to do with it, even though countless other storied politicians have done the same thing including the Clintons. Hard to figure out.

You're right, I should have made it clear I was referring to elected officials and political appointees. I am talking about the premium health insurance for life (regardless of length of service) for Congress and its staff members and other perks of this nature which put these people far above those they in theory serve.

Here's the link to USA Today's synopsis of the poll I mentioned:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/10/12/survey-top-10-things-americans-fear-most/91934874/

BTW, I absolutely do put Trump in the "1%." But then, it's near impossible to become an elected official in the U.S. anymore unless you are at or near that level or have plenty of friends who are.

I have a feeling that many people contrast Trump with Obama, with regard to their treatment of and relationship to women.
Michelle, at least publicly, is respected and adored. She is supportive, yet strong and bold. Obama's girls seem to be the apple of his eye. Having 2 daughters that he has successfully protected for the vast majority of his presidency, Obama has earned the reputation of valuing and respecting women.
This is personal to the Obamas, and it shows.
Add to that, Michelle's heartfelt, emotional and raw barnburner speech yesterday, and the contrast deepens, as does the outrage.
Michelle is the emotional face that Hillary lacks, and she is Hillary's biggest campaign asset in the waning days of this election.
It's a coup.
I think folks on both sides are saying, "dayum", as they tear up a bit and notice more than a few goosebumps on their flesh.

How long was it between TLC canceling K+8 (the RV episodes) and their first "special"?
_______

She was off the schedule for almost three years (8/11 - 6/14), they brought her back for the tups' 10th b'day (when she put on the clown outfit---I wonder if TLC insisted on that, lol). And when that got decent ratings, they sent her out on the Pilgrim's Progress tour.

Admin,

I believe there are a lot of vile, disgusting politicians out there. Past presidents included, I'm sure.

But my reply asking for an example was based on your saying "People were just looking for a reason to hate trump no matter how much other candidates have done the same..."

I didn't just say "recorded," I also said "or caught."

I'm not saying I don't believe people's accusations, but having someone claim something happened is not the same as having evidence.

You spoke of "witnesses who come forward." Were you referring to the accusers themselves or to witnesses on behalf of the accusers?

I know there aren't usually witnesses to sexual assault. But I think there's a difference between the accuser's testimony, and eye witness testimony.

My comment was referring to direct evidence of Trump's behavior. He's been caught bragging on recordings (interviews included) more than once.

Yes, everyone who has been elected in the past several decades has been filthy rich. This is not a sport you or I could get into. And that's another thing i scratch my head over. The hate on rich Trump. Do people not understand Hillary Clinton is richer than sin??? Obviously she's not making what Trump makes, but it's still more money than most of us will ever see in a dozen lifetimes, and much of it funneled through charities to be tax free too. People don't honestly think she's just a working class ground up public servant just because she claimed/lied to be broke when they left the White House? She is FILTHY rich. So if people are going to be mad at the 1% (which I've always considered misplaced and ridiculous, anyway) let's be mad at Hillary too.

CC, I spoke of witnesses meaning the victims themselves. They have come forward in droves about Clinton, yet it's ignored because I guess there's no tapes. In a court of law anyone who was either there for the incident or the victim of the incident is a "witness." I wasn't using it in the layman's term as in someone actually watching.

Let's not forget, they actually had to test the dress in order to get Clinton to fess up. My assumption is that none of the other women who've come forward have this sort of objective proof.

That is a lie. The Clintons do not draw salaries from their charities, and if they were to do so it would not be tax-free.

Have you read Clinton Cash? It goes through exactly how they funnel their money, in clear and easy to understand terms.

Yes, it's all "lies." Snark.

Point being, they're rich.

By the way I find your vulgar "p---y" name quite ironic given your moral outrage. So, it's okay when women talk vulgar and be crude (as I've heard WAY more then men), but not okay when Trump does it. Got it.

No, I avoid reading trash. The author admitted he has no evidence to back up his assertions, but believe whatever you want.

Claiming that income eared via a foundation is tax-free, as you asserted, is a lie. Of course they are rich. No need to lie to make that point.

No, there wouldn't be hard evidence of corruption now would there be when one is HIDING it. You don't lay it all out there like chess pieces. But it sure does quack like a duck. Keep ignoring the duck.

If Trump were running against Michelle, the moral outrage would actually make sense. She is a good woman and mother. She has class. She reminds me of Rice in her reserved demeanor and reasonableness. People like them NEVER run.

I didn't see what you're replying to but I have to ask...

You don't think there's a difference between someone using the crude and offensive term "p***y," and someone claiming they can grab someone's p***y and get away with it?

And I'm asking specifically about the context in which Trump said it. He just boasted about kissing women without their consent.

And this isn't just about Trump. This applies to anyone that said such a thing. Anyone in his position of power and influence. This wasn't just some schmuck on the street talking crap to his friends while they all know it's not actually true.

I don't think the outrage is over his using the word p***y. He could have said crotch. Or vagina. Or hoohoo. It's not about the language. It's about what he was actually saying, not how he said it.

That's about the stupidest thing I've ever read, which is saying a lot. Nope, never in history has there been any evidence of corruption. Corruption is always so well hidden that not a shred of actual evidence emerges to support it.
