McCaughey septuplets begin senior year of high school

Patriarch Kenny said the family purposely avoided reality T.V. all these years because privacy is the 'best way' to raise a family.

In a previous interview for their 16th birthday, Nathan told reporters he did not like doing the infrequent update specials the parents allowed: "I never liked it, all these cameras following you around everywhere," Nathan said.

Hi everyone.
tfw is MIA? woohooo!

Just wondering if anyone is following the latest TLC scandal?
The Sister Wives catfishing drama? The first wife (now the divorced wife) having an online affair with a catfisher, all with intimate photos to boot (one involving a banana!) So much for living "the principle"

I am going to take a guess here, but I bet Kate still drops off clothing at consignment shops. Not only does she and the kids get free wardrobes from TLC, but I suspect she is a clothing and shoe shopaholic.

It never even occurred to me that a local Thrift shop should only be patronized by low income people.
Buying from Thrift and Goodwill is supporting the needy.
It's another story to accept freebies, and where I live, I see it every year with people lining up for free turkeys and bags full of school supplies.

My point is, mediocres like me fit into this giving cycle at multiple points, all of which benefit the needy.

Exactly, and her husband should never have put her in that position.
Many people walk away from relationships because there are deal breakers.
I just don't see what the downside is for Kody, but for Meri, there's the worst heartbreak a woman can experience.

When my ds's were teenagers they loved going to the thrift stores and buying vintage clothing. The big thing was to buy uniform shirts like the ones car mechanics wear with a name on it. The kicker was get one with a name that is not your name. My youngest ds had one on from the local electric utility company with the company name and with the name Terry, (not his real name).

He had it on one day and was in town walking on the street and 2 men were walking past him and one guy started kinda laughing and pointed it out to the other guy and he said, Look! Oh, Man! He's got Terry V's shirt on! They both laughed and so did my son! My son is 6'6, 270. They had no choice! haha

Also, when my youngest ds was in middle school, he and a couple of his friends all wanted the latest Michael Jordan basketball shoes but who had that kind of money? This is what they did. A couple of them got together and went to Walmart and bought a plain pair of navy blue velcro tennis shoes that cost with tax I believe 7.57? And they wore them to school the next day and said they were part of the 757 club and the buzz started that the other kids had to have those shoes. The kids went crazy and there is no telling how many pair of those shoes were bought because of it.

I read years ago that a teenage girl wanted a pair of 100 dollar jeans and her mother refused. Then the mother got a great idea. She went and bought a pair of generic jeans with no label. She sewed on the back pocket their last name spelled backwards really cute. The daughter wore them to school the next day and the girls went crazy and asked her where did you get your jeans? They all wanted a pair!

These kids are so terrified that if they don't keep up with the Jones they will be outcasts. And that is so sad.

There's a difference between shopping at thrift stores because you want to, and shopping there because you have to. I always am cognizant of how fortunate I am that it's my choice to shop at thrift stores.

Bang on. The two reasons I go to Thrift or Goodwill on occasion. Frugality and repurposing a used item vs. buying new.
It can save me money, and it doesn't add to consumptionism.

In my case that I posted, it's a sheet! One. Sheet.

Why should I or anyone shell out $40 for a new Wamsutta separate to use as a dog hair barrier?

As to returning a garage sale item with tags for cash? I'd never, ever do that.
Nowadays, I don't think any place will do that without a receipt. Most places give you store credit and make you spend every penny of it in the store.
I took my $10 TJMaxx rebate check and bought an item for over $9, less than $10. The cashier wrote on the back that I still had $.46 left on it!
They wouldn't even give me the change back.

Is it frugal to return goods you haven't paid for, without a receipt, for cash? Or is that over the line, even if the store does it?

You're referring to what Kate does, and the issue there is she never should have accepted, and in many cases solicited, all those freebies in the first place. What she should have done, is asked donors to please give to the less fortunate, then turn herself around and go shopping with her own money at Plato's Closet for her children.

Yeah. I know she was partly joking. But I think there's a different word for relationships where everyone is having sex with everyone. In this family's case, they all seem pretty adamant that the women individually have relations with Kody and no one else. Like Tucker said, when it's not your night to party, you sleep alone in your bed. Sister wives actually really is a good way to describe it, because you live with the women like sisters. You don't have sex with your sister. Usually anyway!

I guess he married her first, so it was legal. They then brought subsequent women into the marriage. She had first dibs on the guy.

It's consensual, but arguably it's not. These women are manipulated, put upon, brainwashed, emotionally put through the wringer, and then locked into the situation by having a kid or a ton of kids. I might be more comfortable if the women were allowed to bring other men around. Obviously they are not.

But hey, consenting adults. If you want to consent to something emotionally gut wrenching for you I guess you can.

I don't think plural marriage will ever be legal in this country because the child abuse lobby won't let it happen. That's not to say all polygamists abuse children. I don't think so. But that's why it won't happen.

Critics of polygamy in the early LDS Church have documented several cases where deception and coercion were used to induce marriage;[26] for example, the case of Joseph Smith warning some potential spouses of eternal damnation if they did not consent to be his wife is often cited as an example.[12] In 1893, married LDS Church member John D. Miles traveled to England and proposed to Caroline Owens, assuring her that he was not married. She returned to Utah and participated in a wedding, only to find out after the ceremony that Miles was already married. She ran away, but Miles hunted her down and raped her. She eventually escaped, and filed a lawsuit against Miles that reached the U.S. Supreme Court and became a significant case in polygamy case law.[27] Ann Eliza Young, nineteenth wife of Brigham Young, claimed that Young coerced her to marry him by threatening financial ruin of her brother.[28] However, LDS scholar Hugh Nibley disputed this claim, arguing that Ann Eliza and her mother had sought the marriage.[29]

Mormon apologists claim that these were isolated cases, and the vast majority of wives consented willingly to plural marriage.[citation needed]

2) Mormonism teaches that if a Mormon couple "seals" themselves in a Mormon, pagan, ritualistic ceremony, they too can someday become gods. They will rule over their own planet, and the wife, the "goddess" will have spirit babies that will populate this planet for all eternity. Mormonism believes that there are billions and billions of gods ruling over billions of planets in the universe.

Not slamming, just presenting a different way to think about it. I realize that the funds used go to help needy people but wouldn't it be better to just give them a donation?

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

"Many of us do both -- donate and purchase items. It's quite common to take our used items to these places and then shop to donate to others. That way, they get our donations and also our cash to keep others employed."

************************************************

I call it renting my clothes. I buy most of my clothes from our local Sally Ann (nickname for Salvation Army Thrift Stores) and twice a year I go through my closet and donate back what I no longer use, usually having worn the items only a couple of times.

I've heard less than good things about GoodWill as well. I heard it doesn't even have non-profit status and that its name is simply a marketing gimmick to encourage people to donate. I don't know if that's entirely true mind you.

What I do know, and have benefited from as a young single parent, is that the Salvation Army Thrift Stores fund a variety of Salvation Army programs throughout our city and help some of our most vulnerable residents.

There is absolutely no shame in shopping at a thrift store and I am proud to support them. Why would I spend my hard earned money lining some corporate executives pocket when I could be helping the poor AND reducing my carbon footprint?

It's a no-brainer.

Have you ever checked out the Warehouse deals on Amazon, under the Open Box and Used tab? Most of those items were returned to Amazon, brand new, some boxes dented, but items in perfect condition. You can really find some bargains there, especially with shoes that were sent back because they just didn't fit the buyer. I recently got a brand new pair of sandals for five dollars with free shipping that sell on Amazon for $40.00.

SS- yes I am really upset at the expense when one goes to a hospital. I don't think it is because someone takes unused plastic items from surplus. I agree that we should look long and hard at what makes it so expensive and rally against that. Let me give you some hints Have you checked what doctors have to pay for insurance to protect themselves from mistakes that all humans make and by bogus suits? Have you checked to see what the head of the hospital earns? Not just his/her salary but the leased cars, and many, many other perks? Our tiny hospital pays a salary of over 1 million to the hospital president.

====

Yep, I agree. Hospitals are big industry now. A huge chunk of healthcare money goes right into the Doctors Without Lamborghinis fund and unfortunately a lot of the time a patient's health and well-being isn't their first priority. That's not to say there aren't people totally dedicated to their profession though.

Even visitor parking is a freaking goldmine for our local hospital.

The Salvation Army walks the walk. Goodwill does not.

--------------------------

Interesting to know, but I'm not so sure it is like that across the board at Goodwill.

I usually donate to the SA, but not long ago I was zipping right past a Goodwill store with boxes of items to be donated, and rather than drive out of my way I figured it was just as easy to swing into Goodwill. I had some clothing, and household items that a friend of mine threw into my car after she moved...some heavy, bulky things.

A nice young man came out to help me unload my car. He had problems figuring out how to open the back of my SUV, so I jumped out to help him. While I was opening my car and putting some things in order in the back, he went on to help the next person in line. He was so busy and focused on what he was doing, whistling while he worked!

He was mentally challenged, and was so pleasant. His sister was sitting on the bench outside the store and while I was waiting for him to finish unloading the car in back of me, I was talking to her. She said that this job at Goodwill was a ¨godsend¨ for her brother. He had applied at other community places and Goodwill was the only one that would hire him. She told me that everyone was so nice to him, treated him with so much respect, and he finally had some sense of independence and is excited each time he receives a paycheck. She said at the end of the day he comes home with a smile on his face and talks non-stop about what he did during the day, and the new friends (employees) he made while on the job.

On the other hand, I have heard some not-so-nice stories about some things at Salvation Army. I guess there is the good and the bad in every organization.

No, it is not, white collar, blue collar, yellow collar or anything else. Unethical, yes, but nothing was stolen from the store since the original buyer most likely purchased it there and it was returned by another person. Where that other person obtained it has no bearing on anything.

Would I do it? Absolutely not. It's a shady thing to do, but not something that would put someone behind bars.

Exactly. As someone else said, why would you spend $100 on an item in a retail store when you can find a similar item for much less and keep the thrift shop in business to help those in need? If someone wants to throw their money away, fine, but in this economy, for many people every little bit of savings goes a long way.

I have to laugh at a friend of mine who swears by thrift shop buying. The only thing she will not buy is sleepwear, underwear and pants/jeans. No sleepwear because she doesn't know if someone died wearing it; no underwear or pants because she says it is disgusting thinking about her um, you know, coming into contact with clothing that touched another person's um, you know, even if it's washed several times before wearing it.

What was stolen in that case? If someone steals an item from a store, tries to return it for cash or credit, that would be considered a crime, but if that item had been legitimately purchased, there is no crime involved there. Plain and simple.

I sometimes wonder about the impact of online resale websites like Craig's List and Kijiji have on charities like Goodwill and Sally Ann. You used to have to pay for an ad in a paper so you just donated it to charity. Now, people are marketing their items for free. Heck there are even Facebook pages dedicated to local buy and sell group. That had to have an impact on charities that deal in household goods.

I often find items I need on Amazon and check to see if they've had returns. I got a toaster for $60 that was regular 120. It didn't have a mark on it. (Don't toaster shame me. Yes, I know you can buy a toaster at Walmart for $10 but we had been through at least 6 cheap ones that were garbage and I decided to take a risk and buy an expensive one. Guess what, it works about the same as the cheap ones.)

I have never seen a homeless person shopping at a thrift store. That's not what they're for. They are fundraising places so that charities can provide exactly what their clients need. I don't know too many homeless people who need canning jars, a Hugo Boss sweater or a quesadilla maker.

When my MIL died earlier this year we donated all of her clothes, kitchen items and other junk to SA. Our town has a facebook page dedicated to selling/buying things and you have to join the group. We sold all of her furniture through that. Quick and easy and everything is paid in cash. I personally would not buy a used matress (just yuck!) but you wouldn't believe the number of people that were lined up to buy the ones we were selling. I think sites like this might give SA, GW and other organizations a run for their money. We made enough money to finance a vacation. We'll probably still get audited because of the amount of donations this year but we've got receipts to back everything up.

&&&&&&&&&&&

Our local thrift store often has BRAND NEW mattresses, still sealed with store tags at a fraction of the retail cost. What happens is that they have never been slept on because they come from new homes on the real estate market that are staged for showing. When they are finished with the open houses, they donate the mattresses to the local store. I knew that a shelter needed mattresses for victims of domestic abuse, and I managed to score four new ones for a total of ninety dollars. One of them still contained the original $399.00 price tag, a well-known brand name pillow-top mattress. What a bargain!

Even with used items such as this, including bedspreads, pillows, linens, etc., there is a law that all such items for sale must display yellow tags showing that they were all disinfected and decontaminated by standards set down by the Department of Labor and Industry.

That said, I wouldn't purchased a used mattress, either...it's just the thought of what might have been done on that mattress! Still, when you sleep in a hotel, others have slept on that same mattress.

I stopped at a local thrift shop today (motivated by the discussion yesterday) to check out their winter clothing that I always purchase for a shelter here. I have never seen so much merchandise at any of these stores. I commented to one of the gals who worked there and she rolled her eyes. She said that she had no idea what they were going to do with everything. People were cleaning their closets right now, clearing out summer things they didn't wear. She said that they didn't care if a shopper was needy or a millionaire, they just wanted customers in there to BUY!

The saying,

"Bums make their own gravy" means they're responsible for their circumstances.

Fortunately people are learning, albeit too slowly, that many who wander the streets with nowhere to go aren't "bums" They are in need of help from society.

"It is estimated that from 15-25 percent of all homeless are mentally ill, far below “most.” However, since in the general population of the United States up to 40 percent of all people are diagnosed with a mental illness sometime in their lives, it must be seen that there is something amiss with these statistics. From what I have found, the lower statistic for homeless people indicate those who are diagnosed with a mental illness. But since more than half of all homeless people are without any heath care insurance, then most would not have been able to be diagnosed, and even of those who were diagnosed, many of them deny the diagnosis. Thus, we should amend the statistic to say that the amount of homeless that are mentally ill is unknown, but the number might reach as much as half."

I've seen every episode, including the Holiday gravy special. My mind went right to Monk, as that's the only time I'd ever heard that expression. I thought it was a germaphobic Monkish thing all this time. You know- nature is dirty. I just asked my husband and apparently we all share like minds! It would be difficult to measure the precious worldly knowledge I've learned here over the years. We still use the phrase every year around Thanksgiving.

On that note- it will be a cold day in Hell the next time I think about eating a banana, after trying to un-see the Meri Brown sexts to her Catfisher Casanova.

Did anyone hear what Dick Van Dyke is doing for his 90th birthday?

He's basically spending the next couple weeks hosting various charity events. The first one involved him collecting a bunch of artwork from his fans, mostly of him, and putting it on display in a gallery in L.A. Apparently some of it is REALLY good. Anyone can go see it, and all the proceeds go to charity. He's also having some musicians perform and supposedly a whole host of other events lined up as the days go by. All to charity.

Catching up on comments here. My church operates a thrift store (St. Vincent DePaul Society) and food pantry. We love for anyone to come in and shop at the thrift store. The money made goes to purchase perishable items for the food pantry, help fund scholarships for our Parochial elementary school (about half our students receive some form of financial assistance and about half of those are not members of the Parish), and fund other charitable activities. The thrift store is for anyone and everyone. The food pantry is not -- income guidelines apply for those who request assistance, although no one truly in need is turned away.

Of course Kate tweeted because Jon tweeted. What is really telling is that the girls would not let her post any pictures. That has the ring of truth from any 15 year old girl who doesn't believe they look all that great (like a bad zit day or bad hair day). And since we know it's a fact they are on social media, they read everything about themselves. And I bet the birthday bash will be filmed or has already been filmed, of course not ever on their actual birthday. Or maybe, just maybe, the girls declined to be embarrassed publicly. What's a fame whore mother to do?

As a former 15 year old and having raised a 15 year old girl, I can see these girls are becoming independent, a problem for their mother, LOL. Most likely something was filmed with a big, expensive gift to the girls as a payoff but it took some blackmailing. IMO.

I think they film for a price, too. Sweet Sixteen will definitely be a car. I can see it now. Another controversy for TLC:

From Radar Online...

According to court documents RadarOnline.com has obtained, Utah lawyers filed a response to Kody Brown’s lawsuit that asserts that the Browns deserve privacy in their controversial “marriage” choices.

The State explains in the court papers that the family is asking the law not to interfere with their “constitutional privacy right to ‘family decisions to organize child-rearing and romantic relationships among multiple partners in addition to Mr. Brown’s single legal spouse,'” and to “place an emphasis on privacy rights of ‘conduct in the home’ and a ‘group’s freedom to choose its own marriage structure so long as its participants are consenting adults.'”

However, the state insists being the stars of a TLC reality show negates their claims. “Plaintiffs cannot have it both ways, claiming privacy rights not recognized by Lawrence, and then also making their case public in media covering The Sister Wives.”

Federal Solicitor Parker Douglas also argues that comparing the Browns’ request for polygamy legalization to Warren Jeffs, the leader of the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints Church, is warranted and that the cult is the reason plural marriages should remain illegal.

Kind of funny Jon posted that old photo, appropriate for a birthday, because he outsmarted Kate, who couldn't get the twins to cooperate for a current photo. Seems she had to explain why there was no photo which I don't get because I would not have thought anything about that. Instead, she's opened herself up to speculation the girls are camera shy or at least we know Cara is so maybe she could not get her cooperation. Cara is such a big girl now and I don't get the impression she is much interested in her mother's schemes. Mady on the other hand is a drama queen just like mom.

Gosh, if only they had a dad!

But in real life, my guess is TFW will pass the twins off to their

In our state, you have 2 choices: parent taught or driving school.
If you choose parent taught, only ONE parent is allowed to do all of the practice driving. Start to finish, ONE parent.

There's no way Jon could do this for the twins as he rarely sees them. Even regular visitation wouldn't allow enough hours to get the driving hours requirement.

I don't remember that being the case. I had to sign something saying mine had so many hours of training, but it's on the parent's word. I could sign it if she drove with someone else; that would count. Mine did do a driving course too; it lowers insurance rates, but they can drive with anyone who is a licensed adult driver.

Jon doesn't have to be the only parent to supervise driving. Both Kate and Jon could do it. A parent needs to sign the required hours form, but it is not limited to just one parent. When they get their learner's permit, either parent can drive with them.

But if she is telling them that if they want cars, designer this and that like the other kids have, then they need to bite the bullet and film because she's not paying for those things, and that their dead-beat dad isn't contributing to their support. I can just see her holding that over them and saying that ¨you choose," knowing full well that these kids feel that they are entitled and they will have to go along with filming because it brings in the money.

Joy Behar is getting a show on TLC, "Late Night Joy".

From TLC's press release:

"(Silver Spring, Md.) – TLC is jumping for Joy – literally – with the announcement of its new half-hour weekly series LATE NIGHT JOY (wt), hosted by comedienne/talk-show personality Joy Behar and her real-life pals. Every week, Joy plays host to a late-night house party in her NYC apartment where she gathers her closest friends to drink and dish about the things that can only be said behind closed doors – (her closed doors, in fact!). The party starts Wednesday, November 4, at 11/10c. The series is produced by True Entertainment and Behar’s JoyBee Productions.

Joy’s joined by longtime friend Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and real-life pals from her various social circles to throw back a few, relax and gossip. Just as the gabfest is getting good, the doorbell rings, and a celebrity guest drops in on the fun. Celebrity lineup includes Theresa Caputo, Wendy Williams, Don Lemon, Sherri Shepherd and Colin Quinn.

Each week, viewers are invited to look in on these intimate conversations amongst friends, and, as Joy would say, “so what, who cares,” if the cameras are rolling. Nothing is off limits, as Joy and her guests get down to the bottom of some very burning questions: are dating apps ruining our chances of finding true love? Is single the new black? Are there any secrets worth keeping from your husband? Is political correctness killing comedy? Who’s binge eating this week and why?"

I wonder if Kate is going to try to get an invite to appear on the show. She's probably already on the phone with TLC begging for an appearance.

What in the world? The Carlene sheeple is in Florida. How would she know that we are having bad weather (severe thunderstorm warning) unless she has taken over Milo's job and put text alerts into her phone for bad weather in Berks County?

Yes, Carlene. It was a thunderstorm. Just your garden variety storm with rain. Nothing to be in panic about and nothing through which Kate couldn't drive home from the bus stop! No tornadoes, no hurricanes, no tropical storms.

Why didn't she remind her to take Shoka inside?

Tucker's Mom said...

*****
I have no doubt this is the case. When they were younger, Kate told them they'd lose the house and school, and now that they know that's b.s., the kids can leverage bigger, better goodies.

In our state, you have 2 choices: parent taught or driving school.
If you choose parent taught, only ONE parent is allowed to do all of the practice driving. Start to finish, ONE parent.

&&&&

That's not how it is in PA, so what does that have to do with anything?

I'm not sure I understand the wisdom of that law. Isn't it better to learn from a variety of driving skills when you're learning? For instance my dad was great at parallel parking so he was the one who taught me that. My mom's strength was defensive driving so I learned how best to do that from her. She only parrallel parked to take her driver's test and never did it again.

Admit it, if Kate had posted a pic, an old or current one, it would have been attributed to exploitation.

&&&&&

Well, I think it's hard to compare the two because Kate posts a ton of pics of the kids all the time and so her posting more pics seems to be a piling on. Jon doesn't post much of his kids, so a pic once in awhile seems reasonable.

But all things being equal, I can't speak for others but for myself, I don't really care if Kate wants to post a cute pic of the twins from their preschool days or whatever. We've already seen those years and I don't see what's exploitive about that. In fact, it's cute, and it's what lots of parents do on their birthday. My friends' son turned seven today and she reposted three or four photos when he was an infant. I don't see the problem with that. It was nice to reminisce over how tiny and cute he was.

Admin (#128), you said something about "all things being equal."
And I have to admit that that's why I tend to give Jon more leeway:
because things will never be equal. TFW has acted cruelly,
abusively, unkindly, and on and on, towards these 8 children on
whose very existence she has built a career. She's admitted
she's continued to film because there's no better way to support
them. And for that, I admit, I will continue to be more suspicious
of her behavior and motives. Jon may not always be the sharpest
tool in the shed, but I can't remember ever thinking he was cruel
or cunning or conniving or manipulative in matters regarding his
children. But TFW? Myriad examples of all of the above.

Kate and the girls? She knows she's nothing without her kids so she uses them to keep herself relevant. If she ever showed one scintilla of love toward them I'd believe her. She doesn't so I don't. She wasn't worried about her kid's lives being mediocre, she was worried about her life being mediocre.

I also continue to hold certain people under heavier clouds of suspicion than others. And some I'm not suspicious of at all, so they get the benefit of the doubt.

There is no one sized fits all in life, or in the Gosselin situation. To have different standards for different people doesn't always mean there's a "double" standard. Sometimes it just means, based on a person's history, you've given them a different standard.

Another of his accusers filed, Chloe Goins, filed a civil lawsuit on Tuesday. Her case might just be the one that causes criminal charges to be filed against him. The LA Police investigated her complaint, which was filed in January, and turned over their finding to the DA. According to her lawyers, her case should be within the statute of limitations.

"Her lawyers now believe she has a valid claim to bring forward both criminal and civil action against Cosby.

“The statute in California's very clear,” said Kuven. “She has eight years after age of majority, eight years after turning 18 to bring her claim up until age 26. Chloe right now is 25 years old. So, she is, we believe, squarely within the statues of limitations."

Something interesting I learned from the OJ tape specials is the percentage of people who think OJ is innocent has dropped dramatically since it first happened. Literally everyone now thinks he did it.

OJ was perhaps the first time a celebrity that huge who was that adored did something terribly horrifically wrong. Add the LAPD/race factor and it was hard to accept for some. But I guess time makes one reasonable, and now people get it.

OJ was also, I think, the last time people will be that gullible. We learned from that. We learned someone with such a special place in our hearts can betray us that badly.

OJ's case was definitely racially divided. O.J. was a hero and beacon to black people and they defended him without any regard to the people he brutally killed.
It was really sickening.
I vividly remember when the verdict came in and the reactions also went along racial lines, with many gloating and high-fiving in victory.

Here is what I was thinking about Kate not posting the twins' pictures. She threw that ¨approval¨ thing out there because she wants us to know that ALL photos she posts are given approval by all of the kids, thus respecting their wishes, therefore she is such a good mom.

In addition, this came after Jon posted the photo of his daughters with him, and it could have been a dig at him, implying that unlike her, he did not ask permission from the girls to post them and just went ahead and did it. She was, in her way, getting in a jab at him even though nobody else realized it.

Does that make sense?

Yes, Blowing in the Wind, it makes perfect sense!

I think when Jon posted the picture, she just HAD to look good in good light. But, she failed miserably. She is SO CRUEL!

I hope M and C have her on a short leash. She deserves it.

Can't imagine when M and C are joined with the rest of the gang and they all have her on 8 short leashes.

What's a sower of bad reaping to do?

Blowing (#197), I completely agree. TFW has mastered the art of
finding ways to make subtle digs at her ex. She leaves the
direct hits to her minions, who are more than happy to oblige.

For all we know, the twins could've been sound asleep by the time
TFW found out about Jon's tweet, and she hadn't even taken any
birthday pictures of them -- approved or otherwise. I'm skeptical
that she's suddenly taking their feelings into account, but I'd be
happy if it's true.
