I would give them some respect if they took the opportunity to speak on behalf of the other victims, especially the sister who was 5 when Josh violated her.

I'm going to disagree . . . . a little. Everybody, TLC & Kate included, knows the K+8 episodes are beyond stale. The kids are still too young (thank goodness) for episodes featuring weddings and babies. Whether or not Jeff Millionaire and the shrew who will not be named had a true relationship or were using each other, I believe his backing out of filming does put a big crimp in any potential story arcs. The shrew really needs an adult male to spar with on the show, to try and recreate the mom & dad relationship that worked in the past.
Now that a 2nd man has publicly bailed on Kate, I doubt they'll be able to find a 3rd man willing to film with her. TLC may air what they've got in the can for filler, but they may also take another break and wait for the kids to get a little older before they resume filming.

I read the People sorry about the duhgar daughter who had the home birth, how many hours, and not until well after meconium was seen, a clear sign of fetal distress, did they go to hospital. The odds are not in their favor. One day a mother or a baby is going to die because they did not get appropriate medical care.

There was outrage when Anna delivered one of her babies in the toilet. That is totally disgusting and dangerous. I figured when Jill went so long, over 70 hours in labor that it was Derik (IMO) that finally had to convince her to go to the hospital, because a midwife should of made her go before that point.
With my 2nd ds, I was already slightly dilated and he told me to go home it was Friday and come back first thing Monday morning. I did and I suffered from early Monday morning to 4:40 pm on Tuesday.
But at least I was in the hospital.

Wasn't she well past her due date? The cause of the meconium is often due to the aging placenta. Shouldn't she gave known that? If that is present, a special team stands by in case the baby has aspirated the meconium. I wouldn't want this person present at my birth!

Even if he was going to film for the first time in NYC, would he have signed a contract or did Kate talk him into appearing for FREE just for publicity? We know she does not like to share her $$$. Jodie and Kevin Kreider did not get a dime. We'll never know unless Jeff Millionaire (which he is not, it's what the company is worth and he was not a founder) gives an interview. If Jeff did sign a contract, he's a businessman so you can bet he had an attorney look it over. I doubt we'll hear a peep from TLC.

Bindi's American boyfriend is cute although I noticed he's 18 and she's only 17. Technically that's illegal in the U.S. if they're having sex. They have been together for a long time it looks like, two years even.
It's going to be interesting to see what develops in Bindi's career now that she has a quite serious boyfriend in her life. When you're 17 that love is all that matters and if a work opportunity comes up that means she can't see him or doesn't have much time with him, I wouldn't put it past her to put up a resistance.
My aunt had a tenant once in the upstairs apartment that played with dolls. She would carry one around like that fan did. She was slow, but was able to hold down a job cleaning somewhere. She was very kind to me but even as a child I recognized something was not quite right.

I wonder if she is aware of the kind of liability she has on her head if she is actually attending home births as the primary midwife. Does she have insurance? Just google it, multi-million dollar lawsuits are filed all the time against midwives who screwed up. Most of them are as simple as a midwife who did NOT CALL 911 SOON ENOUGH. Complications can be so varied and complex and sometimes hard to recognize, it is so hard to imagine that young woman capable of handling such a thing, knowing when to transfer to a hospital, knowing when an emergency is developing, etc.

I have seen articles re: people writing on their FB page questioning what Jill & Permabeard used their donations for especially after their 3rd trip home is as many months, but I don't think they've addressed it. Does anyone remember the post with pictures they made when they moved out of their stateside home? A lot of the Duggars came over to help and the work went fast, etc. Wonder if TLC filmed it? After all, they've got to show the preparations for their missionary trip.

It was strange, wasn't it? I just made me further feel that under the surface, she can be quite unstable.
I'm not putting her down over it, but let's face it, most of us have hurt and abandonment in our pasts and I can't see breaking down over it with your dance pro, crying and falling apart.
I got the feeling Pauler would have been really happy to exit last night, but shit, there were no eliminations because of Kim Z.
It has to be very hard to be on that show, whatever your age, but when you add age, other family and business obligations, and cross country travel, it must be punishing to the body and mind after not too long.
I also couldn't believe Gary Busey got higher marks that Pauler. That was b.s.!

OT- was wondering how Formerly Duped is doing with her new dog?
We're starting basic obedience with our yellow lab tomorrow and I'm anxious to see how she does. She's not a novice, but hasn't done formal clicker training, so we'll see.
She went to our groomer to get a bath and "de-shed". It's helped a bit but I think we're going to need to repeat the process every couple weeks until her shedding calms down.
The groomer said she's seen a lot of dogs in her career, but our little lab is a really nice pup! Very sweet.
After she groomed our bichon, she was like, "here's your dog back!".
Ah, bichons...

Hi Tucker! I did a little post about my pup- haven't been on much : busy days. Glad you are doing well with your new dog.
My dog is now almost 5 months- and growing- 24 lbs so far. However, she has low protein and albumin levels and this could mean many things, so we had to repeat them. We have been to the vet so many times already! She may just have food allergies, more worms, or something more serious, either liver, kidney or even cancer. She's in obedience & socialization classes too and was really 'off' last night, although basically doing well with them . Then she vomited, as she does almost everyday. She has crept into all our hearts, much as we miss our dear cockapoo. People keep saying to me, 'you two were such a team :) '
This pup does not like to walk, so I am trying to get her used to it before real fall, my favorite season. I really hope she's ok- can't fathom more heartbreak so soon. Thanks for asking and all the best to you and new pooch.

I'm not putting Bindi down here, because she seems lovely and is great to watch on DWTS, but I think it odd to fly a 17 year old's bf across an ocean to see her dance on DWTS.
I get when adults do this with family and significant others, but for me, it goes to how Bindi has been made into an adult way too fast.
I just think when kids are in high school, the whole dating thing shouldn't be this serious.
Plus, it's all calculated PR to bring him into the spotlight.

I could be totally off base, but I guess I was driving at the idea of the arrogance of celebrity. Bindi, with presumably her mother's permission, is flaunting an adult boyfriend when she is underage as if there's nothing at all wrong with it under the law. If they're having relations, and this is a two year relationship, they'll get ya for that in California, but a lot of celebs think the laws don't apply to them. This is not a law California just ignores. It's one where they will enforce it if they want to.

In just the one article I read, this is a very, very serious relationship, has gone on more than two years, and apparently, he lives in Florida of all places. So he commutes to Australia or what? I daresay Bindi is actually being rather mature about this relationship, not saying much to the media, but obviously head over heels for him. It's unusual for a 17 year old to be in a two year relationship. Maybe she's found the one already.
Normally I would say what the heck is this about. But in her case I almost think a serious boyfriend is a great thing for her. More eyes and ears on her well being is a good thing, and the more you're concerned with a boyfriend the less you're concerned with letting yourself be exploited.

They were both in the same grade as his birthday was just after the school cut off date and hers was just before it for the following year. I could understand if he was 21 and she was 17. But 18 and 17, good grief!
I think it's a big jump in the conversation about Bindi and her BF to suggest that he could have charges brought against him. I would be upset if someone implied that about my 17 year old daughter and her 18 year old boyfriend. It's inappropriate to make such assumptions. There are many girls in my daughter's group of friends that have long term boyfriends and don't have sex. The dating scene at that age is very varied.
I think Bindi handles the spotlight well. She has a passion for what she does, and it seems that she doesn't share the feelings that she is being exploited. If she didn't enjoy what she is doing, I don't think that she would shine like she does.
Well, I can't imagine Kate letting her girls date seriously while under her roof.
Bindi has had a career and has been supporting herself for years now, so legal in the U.S. or whatever, she is living as an adult.
Bindi also seems more grounded than Miley Cyrus, so I'll be surprised if she's swinging nekked on a wrecking ball anytime soon.

I don't think she is *flaunting* her relationship. It's just that her being a celebrity, we get to know about it as oppose to all the other same age couples in our mediocre lives who, -as it should be-, have the liberty explore their sexuality without the law telling them if they are allowed to or not. As for being "arrogant", she's Australian and I think it never even crossed her mind that she could be breaking the California law which, frankly, is quite "off. considering how young people are living their sexuality these days. I don't get who it's supposed to protect and from what exactly.

I agree. The California law seems really bizarre to me. It's OK for a couple aged 17 years and 17 years 364 days to have sex, but the next day when the older one turns 18 it's suddenly illegal?
It seem to me that the law is ripe for change, with the addition of some sort of near-age exemption.
I also hope that the LA police have something better to do than to burst into young couples' hotel rooms looking for violations of this law. Good grief indeed.

When I was a junior in high school, my boyfriend was a freshman at Cornell. We weren't having sex, but gosh, I did not realize there was anything wrong with it under the law. I guess neither did my parents, who were very strict about my dating, and they actually liked the guy very much and were crushed when we broke up! Last I heard he was a well-known surgeon at a prestigious hospital. Maybe I shouldn't have dumped him. ;-)
Don't forget he suffered brain injury in that accident. Perhaps he just can't help it (but he does creep me out, too, at times). I think that the judges were looking at execution. Paula just seemed to stay in one area of the dance floor; almost like it was her comfort zone.

The Duggar girls are the worst allies to other victims one could imagine. I would love to see the questions the sheeple would ask if they tried to make this!! ¨What kind of cleaver do I need to buy?¨ and ¨what do I use to spread water?¨ and ¨how big are the cuts of bread?¨
Egg Salad
1 hard-boiled egg (large), peeled and chopped
1-2 Tbsp mayonnaise (to taste)
2 Tbsp chopped celery
1 Tbsp chopped green onion
Curry powder (to taste)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 leaf of lettuce
2 slices dark rye bread, toasted
Instructions
To make hard bubbled eggs, put a couple eggs in a pan, spread with no less than an inch of water, ideal 2 inches.
Include a half teaspoon of vinegar and some salt to the water (if the shells split while heating up, the vinegar will help keep the egg in the shell).
Spread the container and heat the water to the point of boiling.
When the water starts to bubble, expel the container from warmth and let it sit, secured, for 12 minutes.
Channel the water from the container, add icy water to cool the eggs, let sit two or three minutes longer.
Concoction the cleaved egg a bit with a fork. Combine the cleaved hard-bubbled egg, mayonnaise, celery and onion.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and curry powder to taste. Blend with a spoon. Toast your bread cuts.
Put a layer of lettuce on one cut of toasted bread, spread the egg blend on top of the lettuce, put another cut of toasted bread on top.

My local paper prints a page from the papers date the same day from 50 years ago. I was reading it and there was a write up about a 66 year old man who was applying for a marriage license with his 14 year old fiancé! Her mother signed for her. She is now his age, if she is still here and when I get a chance I am going to try to find out whatever happened after.

I don't know, maybe. The pope did say, when asked to comment about Kim, that he thinks everyone should stand up for what they believe in. Um, wouldn't it be easier if one simply didn't work a job that they object to? Don't we also have moral and religious obligations to follow man's law? I think the Pope is aware of Kim Davis and her stance against gay marriage. He was quoted as saying government officials have a human right to discharge a duty if they feel it violates their conscience. That would have to be directed directly at the Kim Davis fiasco.
I'm not convinced that the Pope met with her. I'm thinking she probably attended a reception or something similar where she was in the same area as the Pope, but I doubt she actually got to speak with him one-on-one.

I agree the idea of a meeting sounds bizarre especially given how the fundies feel about Catholics. But that would mean her side is telling flat out lies. They say she met with him for 5 minutes and the photographer will be forwarding them the photos. The attorney said this, and if that's not true, he should be reported to the state bar.
However come to think of it, it's not the first time her side has told outright LIES in this fiasco. I'm thinking of when they tried to pretend they came up with this great compromise to get Kim out of jail by having her not personally issue the permits. You know the compromise that was offered to them BEFORE she was ever put in jail which they turned DOWN as not good enough. There's a huge down side for the Pope and his mission to get people, especially younger people, back to the church if he met with Kim as her lawyer is claiming.
A recent Pew study showed how Catholics are more accepting of gays and gays families. It is antithetical to the Christians of Kim's ilk, who so willingly and gleefully boast that gays are perversions and going to hell.
A lack of confirmation or denial from the Vatican might mean they are trying to figure out what this claim is to begin with. The Pope "met" countless people in the USA, so maybe they just can't say yet whether it happened.

5. Gay adoption is discrimination against children
According to the National Catholic Reporter, Francis called gay adoption a form of “discrimination against children.” A comment that resulted in a public rebuke from Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who said that Francis’ remarks suggested “medieval times and the Inquisition.”

Ah, but it does, and that's the really big problem here.
Davis wasn't a random greeting in a sea of humanity. This meeting was meticulously planned, so much so, that NO ONE, not the THRONGS of media that watched him every second of every day, knew about it.
What the Pope has done, whether fully intended or not, is aligned the Catholic church with her and her misuse of office.
This article is way off base and insulting, really.
The Pope didn't give Wahlberg a rosary and a "stay strong" message for acting in a movie. He did, however, give Davis a private audience to specifically support her in her efforts to quash the rights of LBGT individual's right to marry.
Nice try, though.
