I'm to the point now that the Gosselin family is just hysterically dysfunctional. The twins demand separate rooms, they get separate rooms. Never mind the real money makers, the little kids, all have to move.

&&&

It is funny in a sad way.

It's a family of eight children. There's no way it's feasible for everyone to have their own rooms. This is just part of having a big family. Perhaps some kids see it as a negative, but you trade some negatives for some positives with big families. You don't get to browbeat your way into getting your own room while everybody else has to do their part to make a big family tick.

These twins run the show over there and letting them have their way because Kate is desperate to just keep them cooperating with her or whatever her reasons, is going to create terribly spoiled children who don't understand the world does not revolve around them. It's really just a crying shame to see their behavior now, though it's exactly what one would expect would result from how Kate's handled them all these years. I don't think kids are ultimately happy to be calling the shots like this. If they think it makes them happy that feeling is temporary. Whether they know it or not kids crave boundaries and guidance and need a parent to be a parent, not a pushover.

I wonder too if this is just another thing to sweeten the deal against Jon. You really want to see your father this weekend when you could hang out in your own room all day and have girlfriends over and do what you want? The playing field is hopelessly uneven, but Jon is not the first parent to be in a situation where the other parent is providing more than they can or want to. It must be hell to try to do right by your children and try not to spoil them or let them run the show only to have the other parent throw all your efforts away all the time by giving them everything you feel should be held back on.

IMO your next step should be a guest appearance in a television sitcom or drama.

Wow Milo, I'm sure Kate has NEVER thought to try that before.

Lol good grief.

I wonder if the twins are using the fact that they got screwed in favor of the sextuplets for years? Katie, you reap what you sow.

I share your disappointment that in this day in age with all we know and have learned about child exploitation, and given our history with the Dionnes and so on, the mistakes made there and the million dollar settlement that followed--that grown adults STILL think it's okay to exploit and expose kids like this. It is very disappointing and perplexing.

-----
-----
Exactly, and why is that? It's disturbing. I would think that some of these adult fans have some kind of critical thinking ability. They can't all be stupid, can they? Many of them have children, for heavens sake. If not, wouldn't you think that they'd at least have some common sense, sit back and say, wait a minute, there is something not quite right with this, and ask themselves if there are long-range consequences when you put your kids on television for the purpose of keeping your face in the media. The only thing I can figure out is it's all because of their queen. Kate is the one they want to see, kids be darned. She is on so high a pedestal that they believe that anything she does is right and she knows what is best for her kids.

What they can't understand is that it's not the children's job to support their mother. No child should be saddled with that responsibility, stress, and perhaps guilt if things don't turn out as planned. Milo and the sheep aren't supporting Kate. The children are supporting themselves, as well as their mother.

Kids are bickering, whining, and fighting? My gosh, woman, their classmates will see this. Parents of their classmates will see this. How can you, as a parent, agree to put this on national television? For once in her life, she should consider the children's feelings and the embarrassment this will cause for the kids. It's so scary that she can't see this, or if she does, she just doesn't care. And the sheep just eat it up.

Milo. Dear sweet Milo. I agree that no matter how much vetting is done by a crack security person (tongue in cheek) that things can go wrong. It's fans such as this who clearly have deep psychological issues going on with them, who can snap and turn on you at the drop of a hat. I'd hate to see anything happen to Kate, but she doesn't need to let her guard down with some of these...not even for a minute.

Yes, Goody provided the laugh of the day. I understand that TLC is coming out with a new sex show, "All About Sex," hosted by Margaret Cho. I guess they passed over Kate when hiring a host. Perhaps that would have interested her. What about a featured spot on My Strange Addiction, which clearly would be appropriate since she is addicted to exploiting her own kids for money and freebies?

There are a lot of dumb people out there. Also people with no critical thinking skills, and terribly selfish people who put love for a celeb and wanting to be part of her life and see her on TV over the well being of that celeb's children.

I also think there are still people out there who can't really separate what they see on TV form reality. I don't think they truly understand these are real people, if that makes sense. They are characters to them. Oh if you tell that to them they will deny it, but that's what's going on here for a lot of them. They are not truly grasping these are real children just like their children, children who need to stop being treated like commodities.

-----
-----

This is so true. Most of the fans are just your average Joe off the street. They are living vicariously through her. They don't need to relate to anything she does, or to the material possessions she has. Certainly many of them are piecing and patching, living from paycheck to paycheck, but they can look at her and perhaps believe that if an ordinary gal from a small Pennsylvania town can make it big, have three cars and live in what they would consider a mansion, then could there be hope for them? With the exception of two teenage fans, I don't think they are wealthy people or come from money or have any post-high school education (the exception would be the one without her D).

They're dreaming, of course, but her success in the entertainment industry is what it's all about. She's risen above her mediocre roots, she doesn't need to work when she has eight kids to put food on the table for her. Sad, really.

FlimsyFlamsy said...

So that little blurb said that TFW puts on a brave face in front of
her kids? Well, that might be worth watching -- don't think I've
ever seen her do that before. Collapsing in a heap and being
comforted by her kids is more her style.

I defy Gladys to identify what makes TFW a "survivor."

I've heard of putting on a brave face & keeping a straight face. I've also heard it said that someone 'has a strong face'. But I've never heard of someone putting on a strong face. Kate unfortunately rarely gets past 'bitch face'.

If the fans have learned anything from Kate, it could be the fine art of grifting. Uggs does this all the time, asking for free show tickets because she says that can't find them herself, even though there are hundreds of tickets left. I just read some tweets from another Kate fan to a celebrity and it's a similar MO, even posting her phone number:

xxxxxxxxxxxxx
@Usher I'm an Edmontonian but I can't afford tickets to your concert tomorrow night-I'm a single mom raising a 21yr old daughter !

xxxxxxxxxxxxx
@Usher It would be a DREAM COME TRUE if my 21 yr old daughter xxxxxxx could meet you in person, while you are in Edmonton,AB,Canada!

xxxxxxxxxx
@Usher If you can make this dream come true, please call me @ xxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
@Usher My 21yr old daughter has global learning delays-her self-esteem is low right now but she's a great young lady who adores you!HELP?

And, just like Mrs. Uggs, she's trying to connect with celebrities:

xxxxxxxxxx
@joeymcintyre I just wanted to let you know I've been thinking of you a lot lately-I'm here for you if you ever want to chat online?

What is WITH these people that they think celebrities have any interest in them? I remember Uggs telling Kate a few times that if Kate ever needs her, she's there for her. For what purpose?

About the only non-stiff gig TFW could possibly get would be Stalker. They should be able to get a sufficiently cretinous-looking type from central casting once they figure out how to write for FUFK. Man? Woman? Angry hermaphrodite? Alien? Something else?

TFW loves playing the victim so much, she's typecast herself. No gigs for her that involve assertiveness, assisting the main characters, or leadership.

I am sure after guarding the stick, TFM would love to re-insert the stick back in for her.

In the Big Chill, Kevin Costner was cast as the dead character Alex, but all scenes showing his face were cut. The Big Chill was filmed entirely on location in Beaufort, South Carolina and was shot at the same antebellum house used as a location for The Great Santini.

Yes, she could get a part in the Walking Dead.

Maybe Babs could lend her the Halloween costume that she wore on the View. The one with all naked, plastic babies in her mangled hair! Gosh, that was awful!

Babs didn't look quite as coif as she normally did on the View when she plugged her show on Sunday night. Her hair was much thinner, her makeup to me didn't look like before, she looked exhausted andtired. They could not of been using those expensive soft pink lights that have to be water cooled, because the difference is very obvious.

"I'm Divorcing the Real-Life Mommy Dearest"

Jamie says his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jennifer, is a real-life "Mommy Dearest" who verbally attacks their two children constantly -- yelling at them, calling them "stupid" and even waking them up at night to correct their chores. He says the drama has gotten so bad, he got a protection order against Jennifer -- something she claims he did in order to force her out of their lives. Jennifer admits she's strict but absolutely denies being abusive and says Jamie is exaggerating. When Dr. Phil brings this estranged couple together in search of a resolution, Jennifer confesses a disturbing and dangerous behavior. When offered a chance to get her life back on track, will Jennifer accept?

I watched the video on E and was shocked at the bedroom the three girls' shared. It looked like there was no furniture, other than their beds, and nothing on the walls and also what appeared to be cheap window treatments. If the girl tups are her favorites over the boys, what did the boys' room look like prior to TLC's paid for renovations? That room just showed me even more how cheap TFW is regarding her children unless TLC pays to remodel and pays for more furniture, etc. Unless TLC is paying for the episode plus the perks, she doesn't care about her kids' rooms and I don't understand how the few remaining fans don't see this. Of course, her priorities were a new kitchen when she moved into the house (even though the old kitchen was basically fine in my opinion), a new gator, new furniture for other rooms, landscaping, and many other perks for her home. She also received new furniture from Lane, but it appears she did not splurge on her kids' bedrooms. I can't forget all her many TLC paid for vacations which continue to this day. The kids always earned the money and their bedrooms appeared sparse and just basically rooms to sleep in, and they appeared messy considering she is supposedly an obsessed neat freak (obviously just her television image). I don't even want to get started on that poor dog Shoka and the way she treats him as an outdoor dog only.

I agree with the pumpkin smashing theory. It was very stupid. I thought of all those pumpkins if they were still good where they could of been eaten, it was a huge waste. She was giving us the old blank you. I have posted several times at my fury at her when Jon had all the kids in the garage, with newspaper spread out and each child was calmly and patiently waiting for their DADDY to carve their pumpkins. ALL EIGHT! She walked in and she couldn't believe her eyes!

It was making her look extremely bad. He could control them, gently, but she can control hers with an iron fist. She just kept on and kept on and Jon was just beside himself having to stop and obey that crazy witch. What he should of done, was get up, get the knife and put it on a high shelf so the kids wouldn't get it and go to her and tell her I need to talk to you, now!

He should of taken her to a room and told her if you don't just get your purse and leave right now, so I can carve their pumpkins, I am going to shut down the cameras and make them leave and never allow this family to film in this house again. I don't care if you go shopping and spend a couple of grand. GET OUT!

I have also posted that Jon should of quietly talked to the producer and had it arranged for kate to go shopping for something and keep her gone for a couple of hours while Jon carved the kids pumpkins. They could of filmed her and she would of loved being on camera without the kids! Then the kids would have a wonderful memory of their dad carving each and every one of their pumpkins. Now all that have is THE WITCH, hollering and grabbing the newspaper and wadding it up while Jon is still sitting there carving.

She is one sick sack of sap.

On CWS the girls room was shown and all the was in there was bunk beds, a single bed, a dresser and a small TV on top of the dresser. The bathroom was en suite so at least they had that luxury. Nothing on the walls, nothing any where. The boys room was not shown and the twins room was not shown. It still makes no sense to me that 6 kids (the money makers) are rooted out so the other 2 can have their own rooms. Maybe being #7 out of 12 kids makes this move senseless, unless of course new things for the twins, a new room else where for the boys (basement to make Kate happy) is all free and on TLC. She has not replaced any furniture since the day she moved in and the kids furniture was from the older house.

I remember Kate tweeting or saying that she always heard the tups 12 feet making noise above her bedroom. So I bet this move is just as much for her as it is for the kids. Plus she got a free renovation out of it.

It seems fitting she would move the boys in the basement to live. I wonder if all the tup girls are going in the same bedroom again or maybe Alexis will have the third little bedroom upstairs with Mady and Cara. It seems like nobody likes Alexis. SO SAD!

I just think it is awful that Hallmark channel holds that channel hostage with Christmas movies, 24/7. I like a few Christmas movies, but to start the movie marathon the day after Thanksgiving until Jan. is ridiculous. I think they started it even earlier this time.

It would be great if they would show starting at 12 midnight, GG girls, then Fraiser, Cheers, I Love Lucy like they normally do then the movies. They have a marathon of the GG girls on TVland right now and I am thinking the ratings are higher right now of the GG girls than the Christmas movies that are being shown right now.

Crisis? WTF? Since when is having a teenager a crisis? Milo has 2 teenagers. She's not only dissing Mady & Cara, she's dissing her own children. Yes, having teenagers(as well as all kids) can be difficult at times, but calling it a "crisis" is just so over the top, even for Milo.

Then she adds:

Redbird thanks everything is fine here, just a little wet and we need it.

I've watched a little national news to see how they report this. It's kind of interesting actually being in the place where it is happening. L.A. is a city of 3.8 million people. The mudslides and other debris zones are just in a few areas, most of them quite remote and up in the foothills, and only affect a tiny minority of neighborhoods. Here, it's fine. There are no evacuations or other panic. I don't know anything about that tornado, I never heard any weather that remotely would give me concern to watch for that. Apparently I'm only 20 minutes or so from it but here you'd never know it happened.

In fact I was on Pacific Coast Highway today and drove up and down it 45 minutes each way without ever encountering the one or two spots where there were problems on it. I nearly forgot they had a mudslide on it until I was driving ON the road and I was scratching my head trying to remember if where I was going was before or after the area that was closed down. Hehe, it was before, thankfully!

Long story short, the real danger zones are isolated and few and far between, thankfully.

And this was a song used on the Shrek soundtrack, a kids' movie.

I think it's haunting and pretty, but I don't understand why it would be a xmas song! It was really popular when I was in college and we listened to it a lot. I got thoroughly sick of it then and I don't think I've listened to it in full since.

Yep, when you look at her in their very first Raising Sextuplets special she is not the same person at all. I'm curious as to how much of the kids' money she's wasted over the years to give herself that evil Barbie Doll from Hell look.

I don't understand it either. Ratings were below one million in the waning hours of the show's final season. It's pretty darn rare for a show that was cancelled with ratings that low to come back in any form. I have to hand it to her, she pulled off something pretty impressive getting this show back on TV even if it's brief. Much bigger celebs have been wholly unsuccessful keeping a dying show alive or bringing it back from the dead. Once in a blue moon somebody like Netflix will pick up some dead show. I can think of some shows cancelled that deserve a second chance way more than this does--My So Called Life and Freaks and Geeks to name a few. The only thing that might make sense is that they think the ratings were so low in the last season because there were too many episodes. If they keep the seasons very brief, allowing lots of time for anticipation to build (for instance, it's been more than 6 months since the last update special), maybe they expect much different results in the ratings department. Who knows, I guess we'll see.

Call Me Crazy said...

She could always play a dead body on any one of the numerous crime shows. That doesn't require any acting skills. She just has to lie there and do nothing, which is one thing she should have down pat.
_____________________________

Ha, KIAT. She IS very good at doing nothing. But she could never pull off being a corpse. It takes too much concentration and discipline to play dead. You have to lay there and not blink, or breathe, or twitch, or move a muscle. And you have to stay in or resume the exact same position for long periods of time. No. Concentration and discipline are two of the many traits TFW is sorely lacking in, so we can definitely scratch "dead body" off the list of things she could possibly be good at.

TLC is perfectly happy with ratings in the one million range. She probably had a smart attorney draw up a contract that requires specials if the show was cancelled. Also, she's someone's sugar baby at TLC, IMO.

Very interesting! I have a Twitter account and although I don't follow any of the non-fans, I do read their timelines once or twice a week. The other day two of them blocked me (I've never tweeted either of them) and keep a pretty low profile on Twitter. When I checked my various devices, I found I wasn't blocked on my iPad but was blocked on my Mac and iPhone. Then it cleared up - I was able to see the exact same two. And then, a few hours later, I was again blocked by the same two accounts on two out of three devices. I wonder if it's some kind of Twitter glitch? You'd think a true Twitter block would affect all devices. It also made me wonder if these two very vocal fans were one and the same.

Listen to it again. She said "pilgrimIE" children, Tucker's. She thinks adding 'ie' to words is cute. It's not.

She's a complete and utter fool of a mother who doesn't give a damn about her kids' feelings or the teasing they'll get from their friends. As long as she can keep making money off their backs, that's all that matters.

Another thing that pissed me off about that clip is why did she lie down on the bed in the English Village? Who the hell does she think she is? It doesn't matter if the furnishings are reproductions, it's still a museum. I'll bet they politely ask people NOT to sit on the chairs or lay on the bed. She is an idiot. I wondered about that too, laying down like that. Did you see her squeeze that soft mattress next to her like a package of Charmin and says, This is concerning.

What on earth is wrong with her. Saw on HLN that a mother driving a van at a high rate of speed with her 6 kids inside and she would not slow down and pull over. Finally, she did and the kids were SO upset. The State Trooper asked one of the girls if they knew why their mother would not pull over and she said, because mom thought that you were going to take us away and separate us from her.

They rounded all the kids up and put them in the police car and ordered PIZZA for them because they were hungry. They had the mom handcuffed and they made her walk in front of the police car and the ST made her get down on her knees and sit.

She is being charged with felonies and 6 counts of child endangerment. They also said she had mental issues.

Reminded me SO MUCH of Leadfoot Kreider.

Gladys' tweet to TLC really reveals her level of denial about her

Whether it's 6 Little Pumpkins or 6 Little Pilgrims, the last
thing on their mother's mind is trying to do anything for them
individually.

TFW has repeatedly said unkind things about the boys and men
in her life (except her dead grandpa -- apparently he was the bee's knees). Dirty, icky, smelly, messy, sneaky, stubborn. Sneering, "What a man!" as her husband tried to iron his shirt so he'd look
nice at dinner. Snarling "Man up!" to her little boy, whose feet hurt walking in new cowboy boots.

So, please, Gladys, don't encourage TFW to help "maintain" the
G boys' masculinity. It could mean being banished to the

Ruthie and Simon were the youngest (until the twins were born) kids on Seventh Heaven. They were the most precocious, loud, sassiest, disrespectful, sneakiest, unreal kids ever. Viewers loved them. Those that wrote recaps for TWOP and anyone else who hated that show couldn't stand them, found them exceedingly annoying. Sadly, this viewpoint of today's children, and today's teen especially, seems to be prevalent. I mean, that kids today are disrespectful, lazy, sit around all day playing video games, and are otherwise not as "good" as children of yesteryear.

I really dislike that point of view, probably because I have a teenager. My son is far from perfect. But I see a tremendous amount of difference between the teen I was and the teens I knew in the '70's and 80's, to my son's particular group of friends. For one thing, I was ignorantly racist. My school was comprised of probably 90% white, with the rest being Filippino, Hispanic and maybe 1% black. We were in essence, segregated. There were a lot of jokes that were openly racist. The different groups didn't associate much. If you wanted to buy cocaine, it was easily available. Same goes for marijuana. The rich kids did cocaine, while the less rich ones smoked pot. Some kids were lazy, some were disrespectful, and a good majority were just average kids trying not to get into trouble.

It was much easier to get into college with average grades. I didn't have to worry about participating in a lot of extra curricular activities in order to impress the college entrance board. I basically skated through high school. I am not impressed with myself as a high schooler.

By contrast, my son was shocked the other day when we were driving and stopped to chat with an elderly neighbor. She made a comment about too many Mexicans were moving into our area. One of my son's best friends is Latino, and he himself is self-taught bilingual. He understand the older generation doesn't have the same open mind as he and his friends, who are white, Latino, black, Indian, Korean, etc.

He has to put in a certain number of community service hours in order to graduate. He has to strive for a greater than 4.0 GPA. He's playing lacrosse and is on the ASB. In other words, he's working his butt off to better his chances of getting into college.

Okay, off my soap box. But that's one reason I hate seeing kids portrayed as rude or bratty on TV, as if that's funny or acceptable. Most parents I know do not allow such behavior, and a lot of the kids I know are quite polite kids just trying to do their best.

Millicent, I think that is true for many kids. Your son sounds great! But I do think there is a decline in manners, use of obscenities, respect for elders and parents, bullying, competition for material perks, striving for 'the look' of the popular kids , all more prevalent today than in our teenage times.Kids still do drugs and have unprotected sex, drink themselves into alcohol poisoning and are glued to social media.

I also know that high schools can side with rule-breaking students who are athletes and not give them detention, count trivial things for community service, and raise their grades so they can remain on a sports team. This happens in the school my kids went to and I was saddened and shocked. As for the dress code...!!!

I do agree there are good kids out there, and also racism is one area where strides have been made this generation. JMO and experience with my own kids.

I agree with Millicent that one of the big reasons I hate the "sassy kid" thing they do on TV is that it's not REAL. Most kids do not act like that or if they did it would not be tolerated.

Kids today are no worse than we were as kids. Although I do think some of this generation are very coddled, that's a problem with parenting, not the kids themselves. Kids were not born helicoptered. Parents made them so. When allowed to run the show, kids act like the Gosselins as any kid would whether born in 1850, 1950, or 2004.

You can always find people of all generations lamenting about "kids."

Point being though that for some reason "sassy kids" is in vogue on TV and has been for at least a few decades. It's not real or attractive, IMO, but it's what TLC is going for. Problem is it's all fun and games when it's Ruthie. These are REAL children, and that's a whole different thing.

Well, JMO- it happens to this day in our area...I guess it depends on the school and region maybe. My son was bullied by a football player and was given a detention on a Saturday cleaning up the cafeteria which also was credit for community service! That way he could play and start in the game that night. One example.

Ick. Why indeed. What is amazing is that the entertainment industry is one of the few places of employment where you are allowed to spend significant time with minors, in some cases every day all day long, and not ever have to go through any kind of background check in order to do so. There are numerous opportunities for someone in this industry to prey on a minor. Dressing room, casting couches, trailers.

Almost every other industry that spends such time with kids--from teachers to health care providers to child care, requires thorough vetting. And yet we continue to truck along letting sick people like the 7th Heaven Dad, and numerous other perverts, be around kids without absolutely ZERO look into who they really are.

Yes. Several of the songs are advent oriented, For Unto Us a Child is Born, Hallelujah, etc., that fit in perfectly with Christmas time, regardless Handel's intentions. It makes perfect sense to sing some of it at Christmas. We have also done some songs at church around Easter. We piece and patch!

The BYU channel had a wonderful documentary about Handel a couple weeks ago that was fascinating. He was in some kind of scandalous love triangle and he used the money from the first Messiah concert to free people from debtors prison in Dublin.

In any case pulling some songs from an Easter piece that tie in directly with Christmas is not quite the same thing as appropriating a song with a lot of sexual undertones and has nothing to do with the holidays at all into a Christmas song just because it has the word Hallelujah in it.

I don't know what response Milo is looking for. I do know that Milo is once again, trying to do damage control for Kate and prompt her to address her detractors.
Listen, Kate screwed the pooch when she cut all of the many loving friends and family out of the kids' lives.
It was a critical, but not irrevocable, error.
Big. Huge.

Look, this isn't a boy problem because of the paucity of male role models, family members, community leaders and friends.
This is a problem for all of the G kids because every one of them has lost crucial ties in their lives, perhaps forever.
Being part of a family and extended social network is how we relate to our own identities in the world.
The crew does not replace this. I don't care what Kate calls them. "Daddies" or family.
They simply are not. They are people doing their jobs and will move on to the next job when they're done, and they will fill their social, family and emotional tanks with their own, not Kate's.
That's only right. To actually want and desire interlopers in your kids' lives isn't right.

So, Milo, dear, if you want to ponder what effect the profound loss of male family and friends has had on the boys, think about the profound loss all of the children have suffered, and ask yourself if a manse, private school and trips are worth it.

As far as Kate's Christmas tweets, of course she's showering the kids with "tons" of presents yet again. I've noticed that 90% of her holiday tweets are always about the materialistic side of things. Christmas lists, gifts, etc. Of course presents are a part of Christmas but not the only part. I had my two and three year old daughters with me, we all went into the dressing room, I was hot, the dressing room was small, and I became a prisoner in that stinking hot dressing room. The dress was over my head, my sweaty arms were up (like Mady in the picture) and I could not get that dress off my body. I don't feel comfortable speculating about Katie's parents when we know nothing about them except that her father is/was a church deacon. I do get the impression that he was strict.
I don't think her sense of entitlement began with TLC. She was the poor deprived " middle child" who didn't get everything she thought she deserved growing up. She got Kevin to to her chores. She went for the guy with the nicer car ($$$) and shamelessly stole Jon from his existing girlfriend. (He is not blameless but she went at him like a freight train. There are still programs on television that tout the lie that Jon was the louse in the Gosselin marriage and the fault of the divorce. It is too bad that his wild time is on tape for a life time. On the other hand, it is also on tape for a life time showing how horrible he was treated by TFW for years. The programs do not seem to pick up on that. All the fakery such as "vow renewal", vacation upon vacation, fake Christmas mornings, purchase of mini-mansion w/hobby farm, etc. are never mentioned. I, along with many here, am still in Jon's corner. They love to mention his expensive sports car purchase, but there is no mention of TFW's car purchases. On the whole, Jon is still the better of the two parents. TFW is just a lot slicker and has been able to hide her misdeeds better during/after the marriage. I have experience of being lied about during a divorce many years ago and at times I can still feel the sting. I feel compassion for Jon.

Has anyone seen pictures of TFW's bloody fingertips from wrapping all the Christmas packages? Fake, all fake. If she had nurtured relationships with extended family/friends, they would be happy to help her get ready for Christmas. Sad for the children.

I don't know if her family was abusive. Robert found some family members to say they were, and there was that thing about a possible abortion that made be suspect that if that happened it could have been the source of great discord a young girl would not be emotionally ready to handle. I suspect it was a combination of a difficult child and a parent or parent sometimes becoming abusive in struggling to deal with that child.

It kind of reminds me of the situation with Farrah from Couples Therapy. Is Debra the mother really an abusive parent, or is Farrah a narcissistic sociopathic child that Debra and no other mother has absolutely no idea how to handle and has tried everything? In that case I suspect the latter, and I have the same suspicions about Kate's upbringing. We will never know for sure unless you are the child or parent, but in both Farrah and Kate's situations I take a clue from observing their own behavior away from their parents to imagine what their behavior is like around their parents. I.e. despicable.

Maybe her family was abusive. Or maybe Kate had expectations for her parents and her upbringing that no parent could possibly fulfill, leaving them feeling unappreciated and lost. The way she has hinted and hawed at feeling like her childhood was somehow inadequate because of not having opportunities for trips is a huge clue. Jon had said once her parents just had chosen not really to be involved with the kids but there is much more to that story and that could have been the end result of decades of bending over backwards for a child and her children only to have it never understood or appreciated and to just watch her get worse. I definitely don't take that comment as something that happened in isolation because they're bad people or something. There is a reason for the limited contact for both parties. The true reasons we may never know.

I feel for any parent of a narcissistic child. You are dealt the child you are dealt and it is your responsibility until they are grown. But you can only do so much once they are an adult and making their own choices and if the relationship has become toxic into adulthood I don't fault any parent for creating some distance much like I wouldn't fault a child for doing the same to a narcissistic parent. It goes both ways.

I think that Kate is very reluctant to block Kreepy Kravitz. Her tweets get more bizarre as time goes by. Kate may have been advised to ignore her and not do anything to set her off. I don't blame her.

I remember when Gladys was giddy and practically peeing in her pants (oops...slacks) when she went to pick up the new dog on Kate's birthday. You could tell from Kate's tweets that she didn't know what was going on and may have been suspicious that Milo was headed in her direction with a gift or cake. When all was done, Kate didn't mention the dog, wasn't jumping up and down with excitement or appreciative that a dog was named after her. I think she was just glad the whole thing was over. Has she ever asked about the dog...I can't remember her doing so?

I don't, either. What in the world does this mean:

So @Kateplusmy8 How much progress did U make on the #ExteriorBeautificationOfGifts...how's that 4 a formal way 2say #GiftWrapping?

I have never seen anyone so nosy. If Kate wants to tell her, she will. Milo just can't help herself and this would scare the bejeezus out of me.

Kathie Lee said that Cosby tried to kiss her when she opened for him in the 70s. She said "no" and that was the end of it. She did say that she didn't see anything going on with these women, but did remember that he requested lattes. I didn't catch everything she said.

Sorry Milo but there's no tap dancing your way out of all those tweets about the boys. They were inappropriate and you know it.

On another note, this Minaj song, "Only", which lyrics include mention of 8 innocent children (sandwiched between f-bombs), sported a very controversial music video that was laden with Nazi imagery.

Just keep reaching out to Nicki, Kate. Whatever it takes.

Great post. I also think Kate was impossible to please because she believes she deserves so much "stuff", and her upbringing didn't meet her lofty requirements.

Oh, geez, Uggs...just get a freakin' room and get it over and done.

I bet he's thinking that if he ever sees her coming his way he's running as fast as he can in the opposite direction. I don't understand that these fans aren't embarrassed when they throw themselves at celebrities this way.

There's nothing cute about 10 year olds acting like 2 year olds patting a lobster and having to be told that they can't keep them as pets. How dumb does she want us to think her kids are?

Totally agree with you!

Really low = classic Katie.
She's too lazy to research anything.

I was surprised that KLG was so forthcoming about Cosby coming on to and trying to "get with" her.
KLG used to perform at the same places Cosby did, so they were in the same casinos at the same time. She'd usually perform before him.
He walked her up to her room in the casino one night and put the moves on her. She rebuffed him and said, 'no, we're friends" and he backed off.
But, Cosby was a married guy!
KLG kept a friendship with him over the years.
She also said he sure did love his cappucino, so that was creepy.
I guess she never had a cup.

Kathy Lee Gifford also mentioned that she NEVER saw Cosby's wife, Camille, with him on the road, so I think she basically turned a blind eye a very long time ago.
Could be Gina is the same.

If a 10-year-old doesn;t know that you eat lobster tail and these are not pets, then there is something very wrong there. Very wrong. I certainly wouldn't want that aired.

I had no idea who this Nicki person was until I saw her as a judge on American Idol. That was enough for me.

Kate doesn't care, as long as a celebrity pays her any attention. I wonder if Sunday-Go-To-Meetin Milo has listened to those lyrics.

He got lucky. I wonder, though, if these alleged acts occurred only in the past, or if they still continue...

"Bill Cosby just caught a break.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office will not file charges against the star following claims he molested a 15-year-old at the Playboy Mansion back in 1974. A document, obtained by The Insider With Yahoo, evaluating the charges and released on Tuesday states that the incident is too old.

At the time the alleged crime occurred, it would have been a misdemeanor: annoying or molesting a child under 18, which carried a statue of limitations of one year.

"Even if there was an applicable felony charge," the document reads, "the statute of limitations that existed in 1974 for felony sex crimes was three years. Therefore, prosecution today for any potential felony sex crime from 1974 would also be barred."

The filing was regarding the case of Judy Huth, who told her story to Los Angeles police earlier this month. Huth claimed that the actor plied her with booze and then sexually assaulted her.

"He attempted to kiss her on the mouth and slid his hand down her pants," part of the graphic account stated.

Huth also has filed a civil lawsuit against the 77-year-old star. Meanwhile, Cosby has accused Huth of attempting to extort $250,000 from him and is seeking to have her suit dismissed.

In addition to Huth, more than 20 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault in the last two months. Two of those other women are suing Cosby.

Cosby's attorneys have denied the claims against their client from the start, but it was only Monday when Camille Cosby, Bill's wife of years, defended her husband in a statement.

"He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend," she said. "He is the man you thought you knew.

"None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim, But the question should be asked — who is the victim?"

Then there's this, which also happened in the 1970s...

"A multimillion-dollar judgment has been awarded to a former Boy Scout who was sexually abused by his scout leader.

A Connecticut Superior Court jury said last week that the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) will pay $7 million to the accuser, according to the Hartford Courant. The allegations date as far back as the 1970s.

Identified only as "John Doe," the accuser claimed the incidents happened during camping trips and other outings in the New Fairfield area.

The jury found Friday that the organization was liable due to its negligent and reckless actions that led to at least three instances of abuse at the hands of the depraved scout leader.

Files obtained in 2012 through court order by the Los Angeles Times were used as evidence, according to the Courant. The Times posted the documents online.

They painted the picture of a widespread cover-up within BSA that kept decades of abuse allegations from ever seeing the light of day.

Those files were never shared with local chapters or organizations.

"There is no doubt that they were aware of the existence of child sexual abuse within the Boy Scouts of America," attorney for the plaintiff Jennifer Goldstein told the Courant.

BSA was found liable at the national level, but the local Connecticut Yankee Council was surprisingly absolved of guilt following the two-week trial, according to the Courant.

The group declined to comment directly on the case when reached by the Courant, but issued the following statement.

"The Boy Scouts of America appreciates the court's time in the evaluation of this matter. Though we disagree with the findings, we will review the decision and comply accordingly.

"In addition, while we can't comment on the lawsuit, we extend our sympathies to those involved."

The suit is one of two filed against the same scout leader over his actions during 18-years with BSA, according to the Courant."
