I remember at the time they were filming it came out in the rags that they were sharing a hotel room. This just is eyewitness confirmation.

For whatever reason, Gina Neild doesn't seem to care enough to get a divorce and Steve obviously has no respect for either woman and will keep on getting his cake and eating it too because he's allowed to.

Perhaps Kenya's morals suggest that when asked about something, she should tell the truth.
Perhaps she also feels that if someone might be cheating on their wife, if anyone witnesses it they would say something. Or when someone has been known to be dishonest about a situation, it is Kenya's moral obligation to correct the record if she knows otherwise. These are all values too.
It may not be how the sheeple handle it (their value is to deny I suppose), but just because they don't like it doesn't mean Kenya doesn't have morals and values which she follows.

Kenya didn't say they shared a suite which as NJ stated is unnecessary anyway because the hotel can keep their guests safe. She said they shared a ROOM. They may very well have had them all stay in a line of rooms, so she would be well aware of whether someone's setup was a suite or a room.

June said "but honestly" right before saying she thought TLC canceled the show partly because the kids wanted to stop filming. Just like in Kate's interviews, 'honestly' was the clue that major spinning of the truth was about to come out of her mouth.
According to the article twit posted the creators of the documentary knew of her ties to France but nonetheless believed the idea to be impractical because of all the negatives and prints that would have to go back and forth between continents. They also had no proof the letter was ever sent and also believed the idea to be self defeating. We may never know what she was thinking but I think their speculations about why things never got going for her may very well be true. Really interesting article and woman.

I agree. This "scam of K & S" has been going on for far too long. The image of the "poor single mom doing it all herself" is and has been a sham from the time Kate told Jon that the marriage was over, but they could continue to film, while living separate lives. She never considered the impact the impact this would have on her kids. EVER. It was always about money, fame, and celebrity treatment.
TFW has no loyalty to anyone but herself. Look at who is really around anymore. No one but Steve, Jamie and TLC.

I can't imagine ever filming any type of reality show (or freak show) of Honey Boo Boo's family. There is absolutely nothing there that should be of interest to anyone. Look at them. Here's the thing. I had what some consider to be a "work husband". Many people have work "husbands" or "wives". What I mean by this is he was a colleague, and we were a great team at work. This also spilled outside of work, and my husband and him have become great friends, and I with his wife as well. When I was working, we had to travel a lot together, and with others. He would pick me up from home for the airport, or vice versa. But here's the thing Milo and the others don't get. There is a line that most people don't cross. Sure we had downtime when travelling, and were able to experience some great sites, etc. But I don't have photos of him across from me at a table with adrink in front of him. I don't have him being a male role model for my kids. I certainly have never had him hang out in my hotel room (or vice versa) while on a work trip. We rarely sat next to each other on flights, as we would both check in online, and would sit where we were most comfortable.

There were no photos of my narcissist's husband cheating over a fifteen year period with multiple women, at least one of them even abroad. No I never saw the sex or had a photo of it, but I knew it to be true. It really was a look and quack like a duck situation. That expression is popular for a reason, because it's often TRUE. I don't care if there are photos. It doesn't change the fact that it happened, and it resulted in a terribly heartbreaking split for the children. They felt like their childhood was a lie and they descended into terribly destructive behaviors as a result.
The other thing is I'm not sure "rumors" is really a fair word here. When I think of rumors I think of people saying well I heard this and that about the two of them. This is different. This is Kenya going on record and saying I know this to be true because I saw it. I was there. You can believe it or not believe it, but it's something Kenya personally observed. Not some rumor Kenya is repeating that she *heard.* By calling it a rumor they are attempting to marginalize it and brush it off as in the same category as all the other talk among unnamed sources. It's simply not the same and they know it.
The other food for thought I would give them is that if you are spending all your time battling "rumors" about you, perhaps it's time to ask yourself why you are so surrounded by rumors in the first place. Most people go through life with nary a rumor or two to their name. Why is it that Kate has been shrouded with "talk"? Could it be because some of this talk is true?
I don't think allowing children to operate ATV's and Gators is bad when they are properly taught and supervised, and don appropriate protective gear.
So, I don't find the news that Mady drove Kate to get chicken feed a big deal.
The Gator is on the compound for the kids to use for chores, and if there was anything illegal or dangerous enough to cause authorities to investigate, I think they would have done so already, considering the kids were shown on tv/magazines driving and riding on the back, without protection.
No one is going to do anything about it.
However, Kate once again can't help herself and put it out there that Mady drove the Gator to the neighbors, clearly off of Kate's property, and that might change things legally.

I RARELY disagree with you Tucker, gosh can't remember last time that I did. But I have to disagree here.
I do think children operating an ATV is dangerous, even if properly taught. Potentially very dangerous. I don't care if their state allows it. Scientifically, children don't have the same maturity and dexterity in order to make good decisions and have good reaction times on high powered motorized vehicles no matter how many classes they take. We are learning more and more about the teenage brain every year, and we now know that some of the crucial skills needed to be a safe driver are very underdeveloped in a child and teen's brain. Coupled with inexperience and every parent should be white knuckled to see their kid driving.
They also lack a healthy fear of what could go wrong and often feel invincible. This is why many states have been pushing back their driving ages and increased the amount of hoops kids have to jump through before they can get behind the wheel. This is based on data and research and stats, not feelings.
I also don't think the authorities are going around policing ATVs that much. It's probably not a crime of high importance to them. So I think there is a LOT of dangerous behavior that could go on without the authorities ever getting involved. The fact that no one has swung by the Gosselin property to investigate that we know of doesn't mean anything to me.
I read Kate's tweet again, and she was very clear that Mady was the one driving on the neighbor's property. Well then she needs a certificate. Maybe she has one, I don't know. It also concerns me Mady was shrieking, allegedly. A child mature enough to operate a vehicle should not be doing so while shrieking and screaming. That suggests immaturity at best.
Now that is not to say that ALL kids will be a disaster behind the wheel. There are responsible kids out there and responsible parents who create as safe of an environment as possible. I just don't have much faith that is this family. And no matter how safe you make it, you can't change a child's brain except by time. Their brain operates the way it does, and that inherently makes operating motorized vehicles more dangerous for them. It is a statistical fact.

Interestingly, the most dangerous vehicle, ime, has been scooters that people rent to tool around on islands vacations.

This is exactly right. In trying to be cute TFW implied on twitter that it was a hair raising experience that required shrieking and screaming on both their parts. Not good when you're behind the wheel of anything. IF Mady is acting like that she should not be driving. Wasn't it put out at one point that Shoka chases vehicles or goes after tires? I can't remember if TFW said it or if it was in the Shoka Diaries. Very unsafe if kids are behind the wheel of the gator.

Over the years, all of the photos do not lie. Kate looks blissful when she's around Steve.
When they showed the kids riding the Gator on the special, many people here commented about them not wearing helmets. Kate has also posted or tweeted pictures of the kids riding their bicycles, again with none of them wearing helmets.
I think that alone shows that Kate doesn't care about safety rules and laws put in place to protect her children.

According to OSHA the injury rate for children under 15 in farm accidents is the highest of any age group except those over 65. Statistically, 300 children will die a year in a farm accident. That may seem low but keep in mind the majority of children don't even work on farms in the first place to be eligible for that stat.
They are at a higher risk, the stats show it. That doesn't mean that millions of children don't do work on property every day without an accident. It doesn't change the fact that their risk is higher. One of the Real Housewives I think of NYC lost her leg in a farming accident when she was a child.
Kate's accounts in her journal never mention visually supervising the kids. She only responded to disturbing noises.

I think that they are up the creek without the paddle on this one. There is a photo of Mady driving that thing when they got it. There is Kate's own tweet that Mady drove it to get the chicken feed. There is the warning put on the vehicle by the manufacturer. It's all there. Sheeple want evidence/photo proof. There they have it. Not much to refute there, and they can't point to ROL saying that it's all lies coming from a trash tab. So they concentrate on the Steve/Kate hotel room report and come up with the most ludicrous deflections they've ever presented. It's Kenya's fault because she's looking for attention; it's her parents' fault because they raised an evil Kenya who has no respect for anyone; Kenya is jealous; Kate is a woman with exemplary high standards who would never engaged in 'immoral' sex; employees don't cheat with employers, Kenya is a drama queen who wants publicity so she chose Kate to expose because Kate is so famous and trends on Yahoo.

Speaking of photoshoppe, my youngest ds and his friend wanted to make a sign for ESPN college game day. ds got a picture of The Rock, (Dwayne Johnson) that was made years ago in blue jeans and wearing a burgundy fanny pack. ds put Dak Prescott's head over The Rock and put D (and the Alabama A) K in the upper left hand corner, then on the bottom put Prescott Wears A Fanny Pack.
ds wasn't able to go to the game because he was working all weekend and L was holding the sign in the stands. The ESPN cameraman came over and told everybody to put down their signs, so he could get a good shot of the sign they made. L said that everybody stopped him and wanted to take a picture of the sign!
ds is crushed that he didn't get to go to the game. The sign made ESPN's Game Day Signs and on ESPN one of the older guys was trying to read it, telling about it and he said Dak Prescott wears a (said in a high pitched funny question tone) and the other guys laughed so hard and the guy was reading the next couple of ones and the guys were cracking up and not paying attention. hahaha
You can google Dak Prescott wears a fanny pack. Many media outlets picked it up. Admin, how about a 70's posed photo of a couple who have on matching clothes and transpose TFW and the flying monkey and put on it The Not-A-Couple. Bwahahaha!

It's been my experience that authorities don't jump to investigate rule/law infractions that are shown on reality TV.
Here in Canada we have a reality show called Ice Pilots NWT on History network. It is also know as just plain Ice Pilots and is shown in the US on National Geographic channel.
Anyway, Ice Pilots is about an airline that flies in the arctic using WWII vintage transport planes. They also fly passengers daily. Anyway, the show has shown so many occupational safety and Transport Canada violations that it leaves me shaking my head. Finally, in season 6, Transport Canada steps in and says they have to abide by the regulations, or else they will be shut down. They show them weighing the luggage going on to the passenger flights to ensure the plane isn't overloaded, which is a requirement they've ignored in the past.
It's quite amazing to me how they got away with their laxness for so long, especially considering what they showed on TV.
It's a good show, though it does tend to get a little repetitious after a while. Bad weather, mechanical failures, the owner showing how not to run a business, fun side-trips. I recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a fairly real (much realer than anything on TLC) reality show featuring consenting adults. Some of the employees of the airline are filmed a lot, others either never appear or are shown only on rare occasions, and it's their choice! And very little footage of children, as well. But the show does feature "Coarse language. Viewer discretion is advised." So be warned.
It's only November. There will probably be a lot more interviews with the contestants especially during airtime in January.
This issue with Steve may come up again. If I were a sheeple I wouldn't about to start assuming that Kenya is the ONLY one who is going to speak about it. In fact this interview may prompt the press to ask the other contestants too. It sounds like Kenya was simply asked about the situation, and responded with what she felt like saying. If given the opportunity, other contestants may very well do the same. It simply may not have come up yet.
I'm pretty sure Kenya was being prompted all through that little US sit down "interview".
First, she says "Kate Gosseling!", followed by obvious editing, then "...that bodyguard was very interesting because they actually shared a room...I don't know if I'm supposed to say that...so he was around quite a lot".
My point is, I think it's fairly obvious and reasonable to assume that Kenya didn't go into the subject of Kate with an agenda. Kenya appears to be prompted to offer something about Steve, and she did.
I can imagine the producer saying, "so, next, Kate Gosselin. What was up with that bodyguard?"
To me, it has a huge ring of truth to it, especially as the little blurbs that she did mention seems extemporaneous and quick.
So, sheep, they shared a room.

How in the world did they afford pageants on a disability /fast food industry income? I think June will soon be co-starring with Kate on the 'piecing & patching ' tour.
As far as TFW and TFM sharing a room, it could have been a suite, with separate bedrooms and a common living area. If they are a couple, I just can't imagine why they aren't going public with it. It has been centuries since the divorce, and no one buys the Christian image any more.. She doesn't even bother trying to promote that image. At least she might havve something interesting to say in her interviews, instead of the same old shit. If she came out about a relationship, she might even get back in People magazine. I think she is just so committed to the lie, she has painted herself into a corner. And narcissists have no problem defending their lies to the death.. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if she has a crush on TFM. I just don't know if it is mutual, or if they ever actually been sexual. I think it could go either way. But, I do think that they are peas in a pod, and have a close relationship (as much as narcissists are capable of having relationships). I just don't see any reason why they don't just come out if they are. She is such a bundle of neuroses, she probably does need a handler to help her navigate through the real world. And, I am sure that she is quite overwhelmed when she is forced to be among the mediocre.
I think it is time to let go of the pearl-clutching if they are having an affair. No one knows the true timing of events, in terms of what their agreements were. We have a series of dots that can be drawn in many ways--there are just too many missing pieces.
At this point, anything that improves her foul mood and rotten personality is, IMO, good for the kids. If TFM is breaking his marriage vows, that is really on him. I'm not saying that it is OK to have an affair with a married man. I'm just saying that I think that the reaction to her role in the alleged affair is out of proportion, and that the bulk of the name-calling should be reserved for the cheater.

I only watched the show a couple of times but I remember there was another daughter (I can't remember her name) who was not on the Dr. Drew show. I just hope she has been able to get away from this bunch, preferably with her "trust fund" that Mama June said she set up for each of the four girls; although after all the lies how can anyone be sure of anything Mama says.

I disagree with that. If drinking a bottle of wine is going to improve her foul mood, is it good for the kids to see her tipsy? I don't think so, and I don't think that she's setting a good example if she's dating a married man. It takes two to tango. How would you explain to your children that you engaged in conduct that could lead you to be sued as a co-respondent in a divorce situation -- alienation of affection, or whatever? It's not all on the cheater. Both parties are equally at fault in an affair even if the one isn't married.
Is the live blogging about Dr. Phil really necessary? I understand that people can scroll and all, but I'm guessing that most people have access to a television and can watch the show if we so desire.

If people have televisions and can watch the show if they so choose, then do we really need to discuss Kate and her kids on the specials? Should we not discuss Kate on CA?

It's like Mel said upthread - these talkshow hosts will vilify June - which she fully deserves - but for years they've tiptoed around Kate like she's made of glass and hummed Kumbaya while she dabs her eyes (whatever color they are that day).
Her kids may not have been sexually molested but they have been violated by her abuse and exposure to a child sex exploiter yet this snake charmer Kate has rarely been castigated for anything and her LOUSY parenting is never ever mentioned. I almost expect Drs. Drew and Phil to cradle her in their arms when she comes on their shows. She even gets rewarded with gifts for the kids and eight-slice toasters for crying out loud.
Whoopi is the only one with the balls to say anything to her face although Bethenny did come in with a close second.

I agree. It's a reality T.V. kids blog. I even did a post about the HBB fiasco. It's definitely fair game, on topic, and I don't mind how much people want to discuss it. Especially when the story expands every day.
I'm sorry it doesn't interest some people. I want to follow it but not every last detail myself, so I understand the concern. I would just kindly ask people to scroll this time and be patient.

Yes. She is selling an image of herself, and asking us to "buy" by paying for cable bills and subscribing to TLC. Not only is this affair fair game, but it's fair to call a spade a spade when someone is asking us to spend our hard earned money to watch her.
I could not care less about the various affairs that occur between two consenting adults. That's none of my business. I may find it immoral and suspect it's probably usually quite hurtful to others, but it's not my concern nor are my hands sore from clutching any pearls over it. The issue is not the affair itself here.

Speaking of Play by Play, digging back into some blog history, do you remember when I did play by play from Kate's book signing? All the way up through when rat claws grabbed my arm for daring to ask Kate what she thought of Murt's proposed child labor laws. LOL, I'll always remember typing away on my little blackberry's keyboard (feels like ancient technology now!) while I chatted with some chick from Radar Online and some of Kate's lukewarm teen fans who admitted she was actually kind of a bitch lol.
