Last I read it gave the name and age of the driver who had the kids in the car, said that she caused the accident, and noted that the kids were not using child seats or seat belts, but it didn't give the names or ages of the children or their relationship to the driver or other adult passenger. Well, I can try to answer you by giving you my opinion of what's happening.
BV (who they don't like) is suing TR, NR, and LL (I'm not going to mention their full names here) because he said that they said mean things about him on the internet. BV (who they don't like) and his minions (which includes some sheeple) are the only ones allowed to say mean things on the internet. They, IMO, have done horrible things to people and made threats to people, but when it happens to them, somehow it's illegal and everyone is going to jail. Right Defective?
As to BV and Kate? Hard to say who kicked who to the curb. He had the smoking gun and convinced her to file suit against Jon and Robert.It was suppposed to be a slam/dunk and we all saw how that turned out. Oopsy. I'm sure she's not a fan of his any more. But then, BV had no idea who he was dealing with when he went after a bunch of women. I'm sure he rues the day he heard the name Kate Gosselin.

I did see the Dr.Phil show today. This was a couple who entered the ddhoh lifestyle. The wife was able to make this commitment being a grown adult. The child was not and the mother stood by and did nothing. She made sure to catch her own punishment on tape and now she wants people to feel bad for her?

The bill was passed not to prevent kids from being filmed, but to make sure work permits are in order and that the rules of the DOL are followed when filming.
That said, I would certainly hope that someone has been following this filming to make sure that the rules that were set down are being observed.

Hahaha, redbird! I can't believe you said that. I wrote that last night. Meanwhile, I've been working my way through Brady Bunch episodes season by season while doing mindless paperwork. I don't know that I've ever seen that episode before and that was the very one that came on today! "Let me out! I need air!"

I'm not sure if anybody has answered this yet re: the car accident that killed 4 children. The driver was speeding, crossed the yellow line after passing another car on a very windy road. The driver had no license & was the older sister "The crash killed Watson's three siblings, an 11-year-old, 14-year-old and her 18-year-old brother, Xavier Jennings, who was a senior at Pocono Mountain West High School.
The crash also killed Watson's 5-year-old daughter.
Monisha Roberts, 21, of Blakeslee, was the front passenger in the vehicle. She was ejected from the vehicle and taken by medical helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem
I forgot to add that the children were NOT wearing seatbelts which is just incredible & criminal.
It's unbelievable in this day in age anyone would put a child in a car without buckling them up. Ugh, come on. How incredibly tragic.

You think of something, anything and wonder just a bit about it and in about a short period of time out of the blue you see, hear or read something about it.
I also came across the Brady Reunion that Jenny McCarthy hosted 10 years ago. There was a living room set built and all the kids and mom were there. Jenny's face has changed so much since then. Also, I noticed when all the kids came in 2 came through the front door, 2 came from behind the stairs and 2 came out of the kitchen.
Jan came out and sit on a chair beside Peter, Marcia, Bobby and Cindy were sitting across from J and P. Jenny M. was sitting on the couch facing the camera in between Carol and Greg. Before everyone sit down, everyone was hugging each other and I noticed Jan was hugging everyone except Marcia. Marcia was hugging everyone else but Jan. I rewound it a couple of times to make sure.
Then I remembered Jan was furious at Marsha because Marcia had said that her and Jan were involved in an affair during the show. Marcia had made a joke and was terribly sorry about it, but she printed it in her book anyway and it was a best seller.

Well, I watched the first two seasons only, it is a good show but gosh this family watches a heck of a lot of TV for a weekday and being so busy and all the homework I'm sure they are getting at this age.
Xenia from the first season's version of Breakeven is better than the original version. I'm sure it's on Youtube somewhere. My friend's son was on the show but didn't get anyone to turn from him. It was super exciting though to see him on national TV singing, especially since I listened to him sing when he was 11. He said they spent weeks together in a hotel and he made friends for life with the other contestants.
By the way this is not a good choice for a show if you want something quick to just watch with your kids then head to bed. It's TWO HOURS.

The PBS show "American Masters" is airing it tonight. I missed it on the east coast, but my PBS station will be re-airing it 2 more times--although it will be in the wee hours of the morning. Also, according to their website they will have the video available for a limited time on the site. It's not available yet, probably because it hasn't been shown on the west coast yet.

Thanks for that information. I can't imagine what the mother is feeling. The unlicensed driver was in her mother's car. Also, some of the dead children were old enough to be responsible for their own seat belts, though perhaps not legally responsible.

Well, I watched the first two seasons only, it is a good show but gosh this family watches a heck of a lot of TV for a weekday and being so busy and all the homework I'm sure they are getting at this age.

What's the point? They're never going to have her on the show, much less mention her tweet (too early to do that, anyway). She's a lousy interview, so including her in a video package is basically an exercise in wishful thinking. Even a cactus would have a better Q-rating than TFW.
Unless the twins do something [on their own] to appear on the producers' radar (they're not old enough yet, to begin with), they won't be anywhere within sniffing distance of a blind audition, and that's assuming the twins have any interest in a musical career.
Admittedly, it would be a riot if the twins formed a Proclaimers-style duo, auditioned with a rendition of the Animals' "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", and told the nation their song choice was based on their life to this point.
Maureen McCormick said a lot of nasty things about Eve Plumb in her book. Some were personal and embarrassing. I agree, I don't know why she did this.There seems to have been a lot of rivalry between the two right from the start of the series. Sad to carry on a grudge over time, but maybe it was deeper than even what was printed in the book.

She seems rather young and rebellious, yet shows glimmers of mature insight as she tries to fully understand the inherent hypocrisies of her upbringing, and the "Quiverfull" movement.
I think this passage which she wrote is very profound:
"I talked recently with a woman with nine children. She told me she wants more, because she loves kids and loves being pregnant. I looked around at the nine kids coming and going, shouting and dodging in and out of the fridge. They looked happy, yes, well fed, yes, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that this woman was concentrating more on the next unborn – heck, unconceived - baby than on the ones she already had."
Sometimes I fully understand Mady Gosselin's precocious and prescient understanding about how fully the 6 "littles" would change her life.
The Gosselins were a blessed family of 4, having successfully and relatively easily beat the odds (so we're told) of never having children of their own. Instead of counting her blessings and enjoying her precious twin girls, Kate endeavored to risk another multiple pregnancy, instead of letting God and her body dictate how many more children, if any, she should have.
I find little Godly in being prideful over the number of children you have, simply because you like being pregnant, and getting recognition from your like-minded community.
I find this akin to every bride who wants and plans for a wedding, and not a marriage.

It couldn't be anymore obvious. Ratings are sinking for Honey Boo Boo and interest is fading fast as the poor man's Shirley Temple grows up. What better way to take it off life support than a divorce? After all it worked before. How can there be a divorce if they have never been married legally. They just had a commitment ceremony. But, Georgia is a common law marriage state. My ex SIL lived in GA with her guy for 27 years, had 2 kids and when she finally got tired of him, she changed the locks on the doors and packed all his stuff up for him to come and pick up.
But of course he didn't like that so he went to an attorney and then she had to scrape up the money to divorce him and he dragged it out for a long time, but he finally signed the papers. She was shocked that she had to divorce him, because they were never married.
Oh, did you check out the pictures of Sugar Bear coming out of McDonalds and then they have an inset of his ring hand enlarge and point out that ''he is not wearing his wedding ring".

Exactly - can't get a divorce if you were never married to begin with. You can consider Mama June selfish, or you can consider her pragmatic. When the show took off, I think she probably decided the smart thing would be NOT to marry Sugar Bear, and thus keep control of the money in her hands. He has gotten to reap the benefits of being on the show, having a nicer home to live in, a new truck, etc. As far as I'm concerned, he has nothing to complain about (if he is even complaining).
As to Michelle Duggar, she seems fixated on babies. Every time she talks about her daughters getting married, her real focus is on them producing "grandbabies!" for her. Um Michelle - you have three grandchildren already via Josh and Anna - what about those grandchildren? Not to mention, she has young children still to raise - how about she focus on that instead of her giddy excitement about grandbabies. Something is definitely off there.
I watched the episode where Jill went shopping for a bridal gown. The tributes given to her by several of her sisters were quite touching, especially from Joy who couldn't even read hers because she would cry. These sisters seem truly close. But even though Michelle's prepared words were very nice, when she and Jill went to hug, it was such a tentative, almost awkward thing to watch. I have no doubt the daughters love their mother, but I don't really believe they are especially close with her, no matter how many times Michelle calls them her best friends (shades of Kate Gosselin!).
JimBob, on the other hand, actually does seem to have a closeness with his kids. At least, I notice that the younger daughters will hug his arm or sit next to him and he'll put his arm around them. He's the one crying about Jill getting married, not Michelle. You see him teasing around, or making a challenge out of building box cars. I do not agree with either his politics or his religion, but I do see genuine affection coming from him toward his children. I don't really see that from Michelle - I don't think she has been a hands on mother for years.

She won't give up trying to keep them younger than they are. At age 10, they aren't "little girls" anymore, and I doubt they'd like being called that. I remember that the 10th birthday was extra special for my son, because he was now "double digits!" It was a milestone, another sign he was growing up into a young man.
I sure hope the boys were having dinner or a night with their dad -- but seems just as likely they were told to go elsewhere, this was "girls only" tv viewing.

I notice that the 2nd oldest son, John, couldn't be talked into even considering jumping off on the bungee cord. LOL! According to the Duggars, he would have the least to lose, as he's unmarried.
I am also sick and tired of hearing about how pure these two engaged couples are, and how they court and only allow side hugs, then they get engaged and can now hold hands (which they do to a sickening amount, all the while being sure to show the engagement ring, so the hand holding is awkward and uncomfortable to look at). Yeah, yeah, you're so pure, we're all impressed. But the kicker is that JimBob and Michelle admit they kissed before being married, and they regret doing so. I don't understand why that was terrible - hasn't their marriage been a success? They're approaching their 30th anniversary. How did it taint their marriage in any way?

Poor Jamie looks utterly confused by Twitter and how it works. She doesn't understand that unless you tweet to someone directly someone you're talking to would have to happen to both follow you and notice your tweet on their timeline to realize it. Not at all unlike fB. You would think kate would have given her a crash course in this first before urging her to get on. Judging by Jamie's tweets urging is exactly what happens. From Maureen Mc's book, it seemed the kids were all into smoking, drinking, drugs and sex from an early age.The things she wrote about Eve were silly, like she walked around naked all the time, passed gas on purpose etc to bother Susan Olsen and Maureen. Petty and common jealousies about boys,who was prettier, had nicer hair, who had bigger boobs, started their periods first, a superior attitude. Eve was notably not in the acknowledgements of the book as every other cast member was. I think she and Eve were in competition for attention, being near the same age, but the' lesbian' comment probably was the final straw for Eve. Susan and Maureen sounded closer than M and E ever were although it seemed all the kids were friendly at first. But as adults, Eve was definitely outside the group.Maureen seemed to have quite a 'fast track' life of family dysfunction, drugs, many boyfriends, abortion, lesbian encounters, addictions,marital problems, weight issues.

As for Michelle: there are women in this world who only like babies, prefer babies, they like the attention they get with having babies around, and they maybe can't cope with older kids, some like kids of all ages, Jim Bob for one adult and some women don't care for babies at all, they don't like the diaper s, the feeding, crying etc. they like kids when, they are out of that phase, that's one reason to hire a Nanny. Michelle like babies better, prefers babies. Michelle was the youngest of seven kids, maybe she played with dolls a lot, and never was around other kids, maybe she saw how babies in her family were always cute, cuddly, etc, and love that idea of babies. I myself, think babies are ok, prefer 2 and up, don't care much for some kids from 8-16 or some early 20 somethings. but I deal with them.
As for Michelle waiting for the girls to have grand babies: it's because, Josh & Anna live in DC, not in in AR, so they only see the grand babies, every couple of months, Michelle does not see them all the time. With her daughters she will unless they move far away.
I know of people who only like puppies, or puppy to 1-2 years, when the puppies are not puppies or the puppy is a young dog 1-2 they get rid of them. I even told one then why get a dog at all. Cause, puppies are cute. Was the only answer I got. Stupid people.

A few thoughts about the Duggars last night - Jim Bob said how much he wanted to spend time with the little kids while building the cars; then next he is leaving with John David and the future son in laws while the older girls go to DC to get a wedding dress, leaving all the little kids with Grandma. Yes, I agree that not all women feel the same way about their children. However, if you are a woman who only enjoys little babies, but loses interest once they are weaned, I don't think it's right to keep having babies. If you aren't fully committed and happy to be an active involved parent to all your children, from birth to at least 18 (but let's be frank, it never ends for most parents - we love and worry about our children, even when they are adults), I don't think you ought to have 19 kids.
Because what has happened in the Duggar household is that the older children had to basically raise their younger siblings, because their mom was only interested in taking care of whomever was the baby at the time.
I would not fault her for not really enjoying parenting children who are older than 6 months, except that she kept having children even past the point where it was safe for mother and child to do so. My thought is: Don't want to raise your own kids? Then please do not have children.

Yes, Millicent, I agree. My mother was one of those women and she was the same with her grandkids as she was with her own children. When the child begins to think and act independently is when the mom no longer has any interest. There is a psychiatric term for this, but I'll be darned if I can think of it. Bottom line, TFW gave so many bad impressions on the last show, twins clearly object to TFW, and made it clear that they were not enjoying TFW's filmed jargon. One of the girl tups behaved very badly, three boy tups got ignored, barely said a word or pushed aside. All about the girls. And to be honest, who would be proud of the display including momma? No one.
Upcoming episodes in Dec will show more of Momma and the boys' bad treatment and some of the girls acting out badly, and silent boys and C. I guess the other 4 will create the drama, and if they can't, Kate will yell at one of the yuckie boys for good measure.

I was watching some Ellen I had recorded yesterday, and they had a young actor, who is starring on Gotham. Apparently, he used to be in a popular show and during a print interview, he was asked if he watches the old show. He said once a year, he watches it all at once, or something like that. Yes I have no problem with anyone's beliefs, it's not any of my business, but when they start knocking on my door to say God called them to talk to me I get a little irritated. I've read about her background and how much her parents' divorce, at about the same age Mady and Cara were, was difficult for her. I think she has incredible self esteem issues. I find her a sympathetic character and it was plain as day she is deep down a good person with a huge heart. She saw right through to exactly what was going on with those poor Gosselin kids.
Another piece of this is that she is extremely young. I think she looks way older than she is, but she's not even in her 30's yet. She is a very young woman to take on fame and navigating that with children, and I think she did it ages before she ever deal with her own issues from her childhood. She's still in the decade where you're figuring out who you are and what's best for you and your family, and figuring out how to properly deal with your childhood issues in a healthy manner. I think it's much easier to fall into a pattern of bad decisions at that age, but once you mature ab it more you're stuck in the vortex of it. It's still rather amazing that Jon got himself off that train, because that particular locomotive chugs fast and fierce down the tracks.

Jamie joined twitter back in April 2011. From her earlier tweets it looked like she didn't understand it or know how to use it. How come in the interim of over 3 years, she didn't ask her BFF to help her with it? It seems strange that all of a sudden she now pops up.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kate asked Jamie to start tweeting because she knew that Milo would jump all over the opportunity to tweet with her BFF and give her a distraction so she would leave Kate alone.

Then one day He became my friend and I usually have conversations with my friends and question them when I'm not sure what they are saying to me. OT: Big Brother finale was last night and it was FUN! No spoilers because there is always someone waiting to watch their dvr next month for some reason. The fall TV season is staying up and its fun so far. None of the plots on any show has involved buying school supplies, so TFMJG won't have to worry about competition in that area.

If you want to stop them dead in their tracks, just tell them that you are Jewish. LOL - thanks for the suggestion. Fortunately, my neighborhood doesn't get too many door knockers, but the few times I have been disturbed, I just politely tell them that I am perfectly content with my existing beliefs and am not interested in theirs. Most of them are polite in return and move on. One time as I was exiting Target, there was a small group of people and this young man was insistent I take a bible from him. I found that distasteful. Offer it if you must, but don't practically force it into my hand. I told him I would be putting it into my recycle bin as soon as I returned home, and he looked shocked and finally accepted it back.

I'm going to watch How to Get Away with Murder, because the commercials look interesting. I did watch one episode of Mysteries of Laura (with Laura?) starring Deborah Messing. It was okay and maybe will get better over time.
I am also looking forward to the American version of Broadchurch (called Gracepoint). I see that Anna Gun (from Breaking Bad) will be in the cast.

If you watch the show for awhile, it becomes apparent that Michelle is the force behind the throne, so to speak. It is clear that JimBob does adore her and would never purposely do something that would make her unhappy. She was very lucky with most of her pregnancies and it was probably quite a shock to both of them when she had very serious medical complications with the last one.

Some of them are rather insistent. We had two very elderly ladies come to the door about a month ago. The younger (or healthier?) of them was holding the other up and I swear she was on her last leg but they weren't about to leave. They wanted to get me to join before the world ends. I finally just closed the door on them and felt terrible afterward.
I'm also going to watch How to Get Away with Morder and Gracepoint.

Leave it to you to have me looking up another word. Maladroit - my recall of my forced French education gave me a clue but I still had to check it out to get the full grasp. Great word.
Admin, I get that Kendra appears to have a good heart and that she's spent a great deal of her adult life being filmed and it may have become a way of life for her.
In my mind though, once you have kids you do what's right by them and that means not exploiting your family for fame and entertaining the masses with your private matters. I can only imagine her children one day being mortified by what has been put out there.
Worse, I think, is that it's not even a matter of money for her, they were already well off. Go to school, get some training, apprentice, job shadow or if you can afford it, volunteer.
If an adult wants to sign themselves up for this kind of nonsense, go to it. But to drag innocent children along for the ride, IMO, is just plain wrong. No ifs, ands, or pumpkinbottoms about it.

I might watch HTGAWM- interesting concept, but I've never been a Grey's Anatomy fan. We'll give it a go.
Mysteries of Laura was just ok- trying to hard- will see if it settles into a nice groove. But, I love the lead actors.
Very interested in Gracepoint because I loved Broadchurch.
Any remake of UK or Scandinavian shows is right up my alley.

The JW's are not a big deal. I politely say I'm not interested and that's that.
I'll try to catch Gracepoint, but the British version was so good, at least until they got to who the killer was. Then, I was furious. I might tune in to see how or if they change the ending in the U.S version. But in the meantime, is anyone watching Outlander from the Diane Gabaldon books? It's really good. Sunday nights are full of conflicts for me, t.v.-wise.

Kate has a Sequoia, and it has plenty of room for the kids. She traded the Land Cruiser for that one. She didn't say she was driving a small car. She traded the "small" car for another one, but the other car did have a back seat with seatbelts, although it would have been rather cramped back there.

Talk about people pushing things on you....one of my Facebook friends just got into Shakeology (whatever that is). She's a coach and wants to sell the stuff and recruit people to be a coach. Oh my gosh! She posts on Facebook, over and over and over again about this stuff. She is begging people to buy the stuff, she talks about how healthy it is, she's condescending by implying the rest of us eat unhealthy food and how could we put that stuff in our body.
I'm sick of it. The problem is she's my husband's niece and I don't know facebook enough to know what I can do without making sure she doesn't know what I do (like hide her, etc).

You could try letting her know that "thank you, but no" and you hope she RESPECTS your choices for your life, including your health and nutrition, and wish her the best success for her business.
If she comes back again, lather, rinse, repeat.
Do not alter your response one iota because she'll want you to engage her. Resist.
