Kate went to the Kentucky Derby and the media didn't care

So she finally had to post the pap photos herself.

And here's a flashback to 2011's outfit and the inspired graphic:

Milo is careful to preserve her own children's privacy (as she should) while the Gosselin kids are supposed to be a sideshow for her entertainment. She has no idea how hypocritical this is, does she?

+++++++++++++

I don't think Milo gives a darn about the kids. She wants to see Kate, but she knows the only way to see her on television is if the kids are there with her. No kids, no Kate.

Milo tweeting about the symbols. She sent those tweets through the web. She could easily have seen what they were. I'm on a computer right now, and not on an iPhone, and I can tell that they are horses. She knows darn well what they are. She just wanted a response.

Does it occur to her it might be NICE for her fans, those who have been so devoted to her against unbelievable odds, to maybe include them on something so fun and interesting as it goes along like every other celeb there? She is a very selfish woman who has no use for their unyielding devotion as long as she has other better sources for her narcissistic supply.

====

Her blog, her timeline and her photos are exclusively about her aren't they? Her pictures consist of Kate, Kate's messy food, Kate's kitchen, Kate with Kate's fans, Kate on the floor, Kate on the couch, Kate's shoes on Kate's kids' feet, Kate's lint catcher, Kate's meat slicer, Kate at the derby and 190 more photos all about Kate. There isn't a hint of a world outside of Kate.

Yes!

Her blogs and twitter feed are a 12 year old's diary. It may be infinitely fascinating to that 12 year old, but the rest of the world doesn't care. At some point if you're going to continue to do sort of a public dear diary you've got to grow up.

You're so right. I remember when I was a college student I took a group of young teens from my church to a camp in Western Pennsylvania. People came from all over the country. Our kids all brought cameras and came home with rolls of used film. When they showed the pictures to our church pastor, he ooohed and ahhhhed very nicely, asked lots of questions, and then asked "Was anybody else there? I only see pictures of our own church group!"

Usually at that age (12 -16) if it's pointed out that the world doesn't revolve around them, they'll realize it and expand their interests to things other than themselves, at least to some degree. It's a stage most people will grow out of unless it's Kate. Her mental growth was stunted at the 'all about me' level on the learning curve of life and anyone who thinks differently will be sent to the time-out-forever mat.

lukebandit - sorry to hear about your grandson. Not to sound dismissive, more to offer some hope and perspective, but high bilirubin is pretty common. My daughter had it when she was born. It went away within the first three weeks, but I do remember it was a lot to handle especially after having just given birth. We look back on her baby pictures now and she has a harlequin face! Literally, her left side was yellow and jaundiced, her right side was pink and healthy looking. I remember we found it so odd at the time.

I will keep your family in prayer that the levels will return to normal quickly and for stamina and comfort for your children and that their fears will be relieved quickly.

Kate also seems to forget that there are locals who read her tweets and blogs who may have kids in school with her kids (and know about her lunches that she claims are the envy of every student or that the kids are at the top of their classes), know the weather conditions (remember the big storm that took out all of her trees and snowed her in?...never happened) and see her out and about when she parks in fire lanes.

I never had a problem with insisting that my kids do chores and occasionally helping me with yard work such as mowing, raking or weeding. But here's where Kate's blog does not ring true: no child will cheerfully do these types of chores and NO child is eager, excited and thankful for having the opportunity to spend an entire Saturday bent over during yard work. My kids would have forgone any trip to the toy store if they had to work all day like that. Not worth it. Kate tweets and writes lies. Besides, Kate has "yard boys". She has said so. The weeding, if it did indeed happen, was a punishment, not a bonding time as she writes. Can't wait for the day those kids write their own books about "Herr" Kate.

There's even a name for this photo phenom: Selfies. Self-portraits, snapped here, there and everywhere. Older people take 'em, too, but they get a bit more sophisticated about bringing other objects of interest into the picture. Kate's picture, on the other hand, was awkward, in that it was posed. Nothing of interest in the background, either. Boring all the way 'round.

IMO she never was a nurse. I mean she never gave it the attention it needed and deserved, she was too busy planning the ultimate career of grifting and having someone else pay her bills. Also from what I've read, neither the patients or her fellow colleagues liked her. It probably had to do with that surly attitude when she was expected to work.

It can be a sucky job at times, other times it's awesome - like most jobs I expect. But we do get to have a genuine (and sometimes lifelong) effect on other peoples' lives every once in awhile.

I just got called in to oncology to fill in today. It both wears me out and fills me with hope. I plan on watching Kate's DWTS routines with some clients in hopes of getting some good giggles. See Kate, you've done some good in the world without even knowing it.

Happy Nurses Week to all my fellow nurses.

In that photo at the Derby she's starting to resemble Mr. Burns from The Simpsons to me. She needs to stop with the tanning, dieting and plastic surgery. There's only so many times they can freeze, fill and cut your face. She did look pretty and natural back during the Hawaiian trip. It really is sad to see what she's done to herself.

LisaNH said...

You know what is really sad about that photo? It appears as though Kate is all by herself there. The people around her are busy interacting with each other and Kate is standing there all by herself. I mean most folks, going to an event like the Kentucky Derby would have pics taken of themselves with their friends or relatives or even people they meet there. Not Kate. She has no friends, pushed her relatives out of her life and has no interest in interacting with those around her. Her life is becoming more and more lonely as time goes by but she is too stupid to realize it.

It would be unusual especially at that age. They are in school all week long, it is incredibly hard to believe they want to do chores all day on their precious weekend. And for all eight to have the exact same reaction is a bit incredible. Any time you put eight children in a situation, their reactions usually vary.

I find it obnoxious the way she tries to paint a picture of eight wonderful kids in a perfect family who just don't complain or cause problems like other normal kids do. Sure most of America's kids complain about chores but not KATE'S kids.

The implication is she does parenting better than anyone else to get results no one else can possibly get, and it's a real turn off. You can see how most normal people react on The Stir, they can't stand the tone of her blogs. Only her sheeple defend her.

It does back to the boy who cried wolf. Maybe she WAS able to get the kids to willingly be thrilled about choring. Or maybe they were just appeasing her under penalty of severeness. But to believe that this kind of unusual behavior happens all the time as she tells it, is just too incredible.

I concur. This picture is an acurate depiction of what is sad about Kate.
The absurdity of the Reality of Kate's life.
She's all alone.
She's on the edge of a crowd of people and no one cares about her.
She's trying to make her life seem so 'star-studded'.
The only friends she can claim are twitter friends and she ignores them in her ultimate quest for fame.

I was thinking about this whole event (KD weekend) for Kate and how it differs from Jon.
Jon chose obscurity. He made a conscious decision to want to stay out of the limelight once he saw what it did to him, to his family, and I'll even garner to guess when he saw how it fed Kate's narcissism.
Kate on the other hand is hanging on to each and every thread of fame she can grasp. The problem is that she is now at the end of the rope.
The public is done with her. She'll be a footnote on the Reality TV wiki page.
Paps don't care about her anymore.
Her last 'charity bit' was covered only by a small town local news place.

Kate has blown so many opportunities where she really could have 'showed us all up', instead her narcissism has made her out to be a complete failure in her quest for fame.

And Kate has the nerve to complain about Mady's teacher blowing smoke up her butt.
Kids do not love chores and as said above, kids would rather play with friends all day long than work pulling weeds to get their 4581st lego set.
Those kids are still so isolated. Only Cara gets to experience teams outside of the 8.

I have to laugh when Kate refers to her "friends". Every single person who has come and gone in her life existed solely to do something for her be it babysitting, travelling companion, sperm donor, marathon sidekicks, etc.

She wasn't alone at the Derby. She had Steve, her "escort", "road manager", "bodyguard", "boyfriend" or whatever the hell he is. Amazing that Steve has outlasted all the others, don't you think?

Last night when Kate tweeted goodnight and said that visions of horses were still dancing in her head, irishfan tweeted ""u don't want to know what's dancing in mine..lol". He has since deleted that tweet. Sandie Bellz then tweeted to him and started this convo:

Sandie ‏@SandieBellz 4h

@SandieBellz @irishfan47 @Kateplusmy8 IMO fan crush is a mental disorder~especially, if you fixate on one person. How many people tweet? ;)

MeInAtlanta™ ‏@MeInAtlanta 2h
@SandieBellz I saw that! IMO, people who know a person (personally), would never comment about their body publicly. #Denver is next week :(

So they were talking about irishfan. A non-fan stepped in and pointed this out, but was ignored:

Pretty Bird ‏@Pretty_Bird_0 2h
@MeInAtlanta @SandieBellz @Kateplusmy8 Agree But u seem 2 have overlooked @MiloandJack. Talk about fixate! No diff between her& @irishfan47

MeInAtlanta tweets to Milo too. Apparently, she overlooks Milo's "fixation", whose just as bad if not worse than irishfan's.

Sandie thinks that one little tweet of irishfan's was "crossing the line" and tells him, but why doesn't she or anyone else tell Milo?

You know in thinking about this, I'm guessing that in addition to Kate's black hole of a personality that sucks the life out of anyone that tries to have a real friendship with her, her schedule and lifestyle would be difficult to accommodate for someone who worked a typical job and had a typical home life, in order to accompany her to the things she needs to take companions to.

She doesn't live in LA or NY where other friends in the entertainment industry are a dime a dozen. Any available friends to her are mostly the hard working mediocre. Most people wouldn't be able to just drop everything and go off on a three day weekend getaway. Not very easily anyway. Celebs are wealthy and have nannies and assistants that can easily keep things running back home while they live this lifestyle. They may not get credit very often, but they're the reason so many of these celebs can show up at the Derby no problem without even a worry about what's happening at home all this time. Even if she did have some fun girlfriends, Steve is really the only person who can easily arrange his schedule to trail around with her. I bet she's seething she can't move to NY or LA.

I doubt there would be, since I doubt Kate cares enough to have her back, but the fear is there. Milo would probably work hard to turn Kate against whoever was picking on her, so it would be risky.

Jon chose obscurity. He made a conscious decision to want to stay out of the limelight once he saw what it did to him, to his family, and I'll even garner to guess when he saw how it fed Kate's narcissism

I'm not sure that it was as cut and dry as you are stating it was. Remember, last March 2012, when their contract with TLC expired, Jon went out and signed on with a PR firm. He did some appearances and a few articles about Kate. He was bullied by Kate's fans but also received negative feedback from the public who still saw him as a deadbeat dad who cheated on his wife and abandoned his 8 kids. When the articles came out where he claimed to be broke and was in arrears with his support and then Kate's attorney said he was no longer paying child support, that was when he chose to take down his Twitter.

I think had Jon not gotten such a backlash, he would be still trying to promote himself. I gave him a lot of credit at the time because he left his kids out of it and I feel, just as I do with Kate, that as long as neither uses their family to keep their 15 minutes going they can do as they please.

But I wouldn't go so far as to say that Jon went silent only for the good of his children. That may have been a consideration but he ultimately went private because no one was really interested in him other than as the bad guy in the Jon & Kare saga and it's a role he can't seem to escape. Again, I give him props for accepting that and moving on. His silence during the whole recent bullyville mess was some of the best PR work he's ever done for himself, frankly.

But I think if Jon could be in the entertainment business, he would. In that, he is much like Kate. He likes the money and the parties. He likes to travel. Personally, I don't see a problem with that for either of them. As long as the children are cared for while the parent is gone, I'm good, not that my opinion matters to either one of them. I have no issue with them hiring help to take care of their home or kids. I have an issue when Kate lies about how much help she has to make those trips, etc. possible and I am always amazed at her ability to believe her own lies/reality and not see how much of an idiot it makes her seem.

Anyway, my point is Jon is human. He has made better choices than Kate, IMO, but he is not perfect. And we do him and his kids a disservice when we try to make him too saintly. And I think Jon would agree.

Ally said...

Has anyone thought of the possibility of a non fan trying to have fun and jerk Kate around by tweeting her as a fan? Could irishfan be a "non fan"? I find it hard to believe not one person on twitter hasn't thought of that as an interesting way to get under her skin. JMHO.

Admin-They won't directly confront Milo, but maybe they are also trying to subtly let her know she's out of line. MeInAtlanta's tweets to Sandie may have been about irishfan, but her saying "people who know a person (personally), would never comment about their body publicly", may have also been directed at Milo. Irishfan doesn't comment about Kate's body in the way that Milo does. He usually just says that she looking good or hot-Milo goes into specifics.

Remember when Sandie, gypsi and Barb had a convo about Milo implying that she was hogging Kate's timeline or something like that? I can't remember the specifics, but they never came right out and told Milo. I guess they're trying to drop hints without directly addressing the problem.

Unfortunately, Milo can't take the hint, or never thinks that they are talking about her. Or she does, but chooses to ignore it, because Kate "loves" her.

Competitions have rules you need to follow and if you can't do that, then you need to not compete. He is so animated he would never sit still long enough for it to happen. I have tripped over his toys, all the time. But never fell. My comment was more about Kate claiming to trip over shoka, all the time, when she runs. She runs with shoka?? That was more my point.

Also, about her tweeting on weeding day. Again my point was only that she was tweeting the majority of the morning and not weeding like she claimed in her blog. Who knows what really happened that afternoon. I don't really care either way. That morning however, does not seem possible based on timed tweets. That's all.

Thanks for great conversation.

No, not really. She's a paycheck to him, perhaps there is a bond of some kind after all these years, but in the end, it's a job. If he had been on a TLC assignment abroad, like his China trip, he would not have rearranged his life for her KY weekend. They're not that close.

I'm pretty sure she's said she runs with Shoka before although we've never seen any pap photos of it. Why you wouldn't take this poor dog out for your run every...single....time you go is beyond me. What a perfect way to kill two birds with one stone.

It's one thing to trip over your dog because you run into each other in the house. Even humans do that to each other. Quite another to be tripping over them on walks--that's a problem. The bigger question is why can't Shoka walk properly? Oh right, no one taught him and he probably doesn't have a lot of practice. Poor thing.

Ally said...

I agree. Although I think her blogs keep getting worse, if that's possible. They get longer, more sensationalized and have now become a way to rewrite her past. They grammar and writing style is beyond horrible. My ex husband is a high school English teacher and I used to read some of his students papers. The words, rewrite, too verbose would appear on each and every blog. I think she thinks the more adjectives, adverbs and prepositional phrases, makes her a better writer. Most definitely not. Her writing style is very evident of the fact that she never wrote on a college level. That type of writing would not have lasted her 1 semester.

Exactly! Some probably moaned and groaned about it and were "disciplined" for it. Some probably went to it in their Zombie mode. Some were probably yelled at for not doing it correctly and some she probably bullied and teased.
And then she wrote what she FANTASISED how whole thing went down

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Her biggest problem right now is how LONG they are. All the rambling is contributing to that. They almost read like a streaming consciousness inside Kate's head. Not pretty. Like a middle schooler who is trying to stretch out a paper that's supposed to be five pages.

If you are writing a nice tight blog post to make a web site money, most sites say it should be 500 words or less. Longer than that and apparently it's harder for search engines to figure out what it's really about and bring the right people to it via searches.

Look at Pioneer Woman's blog. It's pretty rare her posts go longer than that. She makes millions off that blog.

Another thing highly skeptical about the weeding is that Cara had lacrosse that day apparently. I played sports all throughout school and I remember game days well. The last thing you want to do is chores. You just want to shower, relax, put your feet up, and EAT while you watch MTV or chat on the phone. I find it fantastical to believe she willingly pranced off to go do hard labor all day.

I think the biggest difference between Steve and any other helper or staff is that in Jamie and Ashley's case they had a social relationship that turned professional. Steve started out as a professional relationship that may have become more personal. Either way, it may be easier to be more distanced and impartial, not caring about Kate drama, because he was never her friend. It was only a business relationship. Now, Kate may be attracted to him and so she let's him get away with stuff no one else can. Like the way he seems to verbally put her in her place and she accepts it. The broom closet at the book signing, for instance.

I finally just got what you meant by tripping over the dog. My bad. I was thinking of literally tripping over an object on the ground, not bumping into it. That's what you meant by shoka not learning to walk properly, right? LOL! Now I get what you mean. Makes more sense, and funnier too!

TLC stinks said...

She may be a paycheck to him, but I still think Kate is head over heels with the guy but it's not mutual; he may be flattered and gets off knowing that she is infatuated with him. There's a reason the rumors persist because something is off with her vibe around him. I even wondered if the long blond hair was an attempt to look like Gina. Maybe I've watched too many Lifetime movies, LOL.

FYI said...

Admin-I got the impression from reading Kate's bog, that Mady and Cara weren't involved in the weeding. She said that Cara had a lacrosse game, and that Mady was in the house doing a school project and only after she was done she offered to weed. She also said (talking about her idea) "I decided to present it to my little kids anyway to gauge their reaction".

Kate's bogs read like a script she's writing for a TV show, right down to the last detail. It's like she's fantasizing what the episodes would be about IF they were still on TV. So although their lives are no longer filmed, she's presenting them as if they still were. She's basically writing her own recap of a TV show that no longer exists.

Ally said...

If you read that blog carefully, she states that this was an idea that she only presented to the sextuplets. Not cara and Mady. Why not? I couldn't figure that out. Are they too old that she can't control them like this anymore? My other thought. It was the sextuplets birthday. They needed birthday shopping. She got them to work for their birthday presents. It is very bizarre. In fact, she stated Mady came out at the end of the day, after working all day on homework. Again, bizarre. I've noticed that it seems the twins and the sextuplets were raised differently, with different expectations. Almost like she has more control over the younger ones, so she does. Lots of times the twins would not be on episodes, or barely, the sextuplets never missed one, ever.

I'm not sure if you're one of the rabid army of Tweeties for Kate or what your affiliation to KG is, but let me assure you that I am not Walt. Unless Walt has had a sex change, moved to Chicagoland and obtained a nursing license.

Walt,
If you read here, I sincerely apologize for Lanawhatshername. She seriously insulted you by implying that I'm you. Obviously grammar and sentence structure are not my forte - thank goodness nursing is.

I don't believe the bog post. Those are not a happy kids most of the time as far as one can tell. They are trained to abhor dirt, so weeding? I doubt it was #FUN. Seems the twins got off easy with lacrosse and homework.

As for the Derby? Non-news.

And yes, nursing is a hard but rewarding career. I enjoyed my years in the profession very much. May take it up again at some point!
A lot of it is team work- would hate to have Kate on my team although she goes on about how inspirational she is, making things #FUN. Can just picture her merrily working in a busy hospital unit...not.

Anonymous said...

Reading backwards again, but Kate clearly did not do any weeding. She put the tups up to the task, and went from there. Notice she was inside from breakfast clean up, lunch prep, lunch clean up.
Mady refused saying she had homework all day. Really? I think Kate is embellishing, most likely to get the yard cleaned up for Steve's arrival. With tups doing the majority of work. Probably was not as pleasant as she described, but she certainly used the "gift factor" to get them involved. In short, I believe their birthday gifts were determined by how much work they did that day.

Blowing In The Wind said...

----------------

I thought it was Mady who willingly went out to do the weeding, not Cara.

TLC stinks said...

Her darn blog was so long it is easy to get confused, but it was weeding for the tups. Mady was inside doing homework but later "volunteered" to help. Did I miss Cara weeding?

Hey, everyone. I just wanted to tell you that my grandson Owen that was born on Thurs. morning 420 am, was suppose to go home on Sat.

Well, his lab work came back and he had to be under the bili lights till his bilirubin came down. It was very HIGH.

I was going to post a prayer request, but I have been worried and even though I posted some along, I was too worried about posting about him. Also, his mother was recovering and my son was getting sick. They are just exhausted.

Then they had to stay Sunday and all day today and he finally was able to go home late this afternoon!

I am so relieved. God is so Good!

************************************************

Little Owen will be just fine, lukebandit.

My daughter also had a very high bilirubin count. She resembled a little orange pumpkin.

Hang in there. Everything, and everybody will be back to normal in no time.

That type of writing would not have lasted her 1 semester.

I disagree. Sadly, her writing is better than that of many college seniors I have taught. Granted, her writing most definitely is not good, although she thinks that it is and she basks in the praises from her fans who really don't know any better.

However, you would be appalled if you saw the writing that comes from many college students. I've had papers turned in that were painful to read. The dilemma is what to do with these students, knowing that they can't be held back or failed for their atrocious writing skills. Many times their high school teachers had very poor skills, and the cycle is perpetuated. Colleges are now requiring that a student's academics needed for graduation include one or more courses with an AW (advanced writing) component, regardless of his or her major.

Professors do the best they can with these students, but it seems that by the time they've entered a college or university it is often too late. The basics have never been learned. I've had many jaw-dropping moments when I've read papers, wondering how these kids ever graduated from high school with such poor skills. Even more astonishing is that they were accepted by an institution of higher learning.

Think Paige's essays some time ago and her "teacher" who gave her the stars and kudos.

Maybe I've watched too many Lifetime movies, LOL

I am kind of scratching my head over this weeding project because she obviously has help with the yard (somebody mows all that property and it ain't Kate) and I would assume the landscapers would trim and weed. I have a friend with similar property, and her landscapers take care of everything. Sooooo, either she made up the weeding story as some type of learning/bonding experience for the blog, or it was a PUNISHMENT as I mentioned before.

Oh, and that picture of Aaden looking up at the Lego's in the store, that could have been taken when she took them to the toy store before. Didn't she mention about them getting some new Lego sets recently?

Blowing In The Wind said...

-----------------------

Mady had homework and Cara had lacrosse. It only makes sense that homework trumps weeding and Cara needed to prepare for her game by not expending energy outside by hauling around clippings and weeds in wagons. You don't go from being tired doing outside work to playing in a game of competitive sports.

Didn't she say that the six of them who did the weeding were rewarded for their job by picking out toys, PLUS, in addition to those toys they got to pick out their birthday gifts? The birthday gifts were not their reward for weeding.

foxy said...

Remember on CWS when Mady said all she has ever known is work, and they had to do things "her" way and only "her" way. Mady looked so distraught, Cara looked like she just wanted her privacy, the poor boys, what can anyone say about them. The little girls look like they run the show. I don't think anything is done in that house with glee and excitement.

I'm sorry, I don't think I was clear. You are 100% correct. I was appalled at the writing of his students, at the high school level, and even then it's hard to change the bad habits. Which means they were not getting the writing skills they needed in elementary and middle schools. Teacher laziness? When I was in high school, writing standards were very high. That was mid 90's. Our social media does not help with writing skills. All the abbreviations, made up words and need for speed, people are writing less and less clearly. Our younger generation, that is. I actually used to chastise my ex because when grading essays he read for content, not grammar and prose. I told him that he was doing the kids a disservice. I think he was just too lazy to spend the time educating the students to write more clearly and grammatically correct.
I can only speak from my college experience. But, I would have failed my classes if I turned in the works of Kate Gosselin.

Remember the scene at the toystore when she tried to suck up to Jon outside by asking him if he was mad at her? And the "look Jon..pee pee potty...pee pee potty" after she had de-nutted him in the store. Nice try at damage control. Was pathetic. Remember when she had the parents over for the kids' party and it started to rain/thunder outside and she was standing beside Steve when he told the camera it was time to go inside? She had that look of complete deference to him. Remember when he told her to make her mind up in the limo when she was bawling about how tired she was. There are lots of examples of her liking his strong personality and deferring to it. She hasn't yet figured out she can't have it both ways. Either play the shrinking violet or the battleaxe from hell. Must be very confusing inside her head.......

Thank you everyone for your nice posts about my grandson. I really appreciate the prayers.

My middle son had the same problem. This was 28 years ago. But back then, they would take the baby away from you and put them in a incubator with the lights. Now, they have the portable bili lights in the rooms. I will never forget walking down to the nursery to see him.

I was standing at the window watching him looking very sad and upset, because I was so worried. These 2 older women were looking at the babies and they walked over to see more and they got to the window where I was and they saw my son in there under the lights in the box and then they looked at me, looked back at my son and then looked at me and then they looked at each other and shook their heads and walked off!!!

Not an ounce of compassion! They should of least said, hon, are you ok? (I was visibly upset). Is there anything we can do? Now the big ones: Would you like a hug? Tell me some kind words???

That really tore me up. I have never forgotten that and I never will.

Also, I ran across kate being interviewed in 2011 when she had the ostrich hat on and the reporter asked her when did she get to KYD and she said Wed. The race isn't until Sat.!

So look at all the parties that she went too! She didn't come back till Sun. or Mon. That is 5 to 6 days with Scuba Steve. A win-win for her and a huge win for the kids with time hopefully with their dad.

Then she was asked where did she get her hat. And she was spitting out Lou, Lou and the reporter said Louisville and she said, um hum.

She couldn't even get out Louisville! Must of lost sight of Steve and got all jumbled up!

Also, when I go to kates twitter time line, I can't see who tweets her. I have tried twazzup same thing. Can someone post to how we can see exactly what is being tweeted. Thanks.

=========================

I wasn't hesitant to say it too, but I really wonder if that picture isn't some sort of stock photo. Since the child is wearing glasses, most people would assume it's Aaden. On ALL of Kate's bogs that have pictures of her, the kids, Shoka, her running shoes or even just something in their house, there is photo credit given to Kate or Mady.

That picture has NO photo credit given which leads me to believe that Kate did not take that picture and that it is not one of her kids. She's used other stock photos before--like the tow truck and the toilet without giving credit. Even the cookbook photo has no credit, although she gave it credit on her website.

And yes, the child looks small for a 9 yr. old boy. In the CWS photos, the top of Aaden's head falls somewhere between Kate's elbow and shoulders. Even the angle is weird. If she took the picture, did she stand on something to take it?. Also, why are the prices on the shelves blocked out?

It may be a conspiracy theory, but I don't think Kate took that picture, nor is that child Aaden.

Kate definitely said they were being paid, and I'm virtually certain she never said *I* am paying them, just they are being paid in the passive sense, which suggests TLC was doing it.

Paying friends is often a dicey situation. It completely changed the dynamic. You are no longer equal. Kate seemed to think that because they were getting paid, they had no right to question her, speak up for themselves, complain about legitimate things, and that she, Kate, had every right to treat them like servants. And at the end of this all she acted like this wouldn't affect their friendship at all (CLASSIC narcissist, treat you like dirt then act surprised when you finally want to leave the friendship/relationship/marriage.)

Of course for normal people like Jamie and Ashley it has direct bearing on the friendship. Essentially damaging it permanently, from what I can tell.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

"Store"? That's kinda odd. I never thought of Chipotle as a "store." It's a glorified McDonalds, a fast food joint, or if you must, restaurant. It's good but it's not that good. And it can easily be made at home as long as you have a few common ingredients on hands and some cilantro and chilies.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

&&&

Exactly. How does Milo know whether or not Kate was trying to keep this quiet. Since Kate never confirmed oh yes I just wanted to be normal and quiet for once this time, I tend to think her snub was not something she wanted. Come on, this is Kate. Plus, she certainly was happy on the red carpet in 2011, why would you suddenly go to the same exact event and not want to be seen? I'm not buying it.

I don't think anyone goes to the Kentucky Derby, even people who aren't famous, expecting not to be seen. Even if you end up in background photos. If you genuinely don't want to be seen you go off to some private resort somewhere that caters to that. If you're a private person, the Derby is not for you.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Plus, even if Kate DID go intend to avoid the press, how do you explain how only ONE of the over 100,000 other Derby fans there thought to tweet about her or take a pic of her?

You can make an argument Kate avoided the red carpet areas, but you cannot explain away why none of the several other patrons we saw in the background of Kate's picture didn't social media the appearance. In the old days this is always how she was found out when she was up to no good, three, four or more people would tweet about it or facebook about it. That's how we found out about Alaska, Yellowstone and Australia. Those days are gone.

I'm thinking of Gordon Ramsey, who has been to restaurants in every nook and cranny of the U.S. and UK, and no one ever called their restaurant a "store." In fact I like how he pronounces restaurant. Rest-rant. I think my point is I'm not sure Kate even knows basic English, what things are called, how to explain things.

Which reminds me I wanted to make a point about blaming schools and texting. There is no denying this has contributed to some children, some, having trouble with writing. But Kate is a 37 year old woman, who went to as far as I can tell decent skills, way before texting and schools went downhill. And you know sometimes I think people look for every excuse in the book to explain why a child might be poor at something when the reality is some people simply aren't GOOD at things. It doesn't matter how good your teacher is, if you're just not a writer at heart, you're not going to be much good.

I think Kate simply stinks at writing. She may have had excellent English teachers but nothing ever took. The great irony here is she is just as mediocre as anyone else. She has no special talent that most people who really make it have. The great sadness here is that she doesn't KNOW IT or even try to get better. Take a writing class, reach out to some mommy blogs for help and mentors, heck even Pioneer Woman might be willing to chat with her. Get someone to rip her blogs apart so she can understand why they are so terrible. She won't do any of this.

Milo's still trying to get Kate's attention by telling her this story of a wood spider that was on her bedroom ceiling this morning and how she was so afraid. That didn't work, so now she tweeted a stock photo of what the spider looked like. I guess because Kate responded to her dog picture, she thinks Kate will respond to her spider picture.

It looks like that didn't work. What is she going to try next?

You know what ticks me off about Milo (at first she was amusing, now she is just OBNOXIOUS)?

Kate made it clear she and the kids are out at Chipotle. So could Milo please STOP tweeting her and leave them alone for a few hours to enjoy their meal and family time?? Why should Kate respond to her or anyone when she is out with her kids? Driving too. Stop encouraging Kate to respond when she is supposed to be with her children. It's just so RUDE. And SELFISH. It's one thing if she doesn't know what she's up to but she KNOWS.

FYI said...

In Milo's discussion about the people who tweet negative things to her, she actually tweeted:

miloandjack
@MeInAtlanta @FireyTopaz1 Thank U...I get a dozen or so of these a day...folks butting N my tweets w/people I enjoy laughin/teasing with!

But that's exactly what Milo does. Kate tweets something to Jason or Deanna, and Milo jumps right in. Or Kate is tweeting to someone else, and there's Milo butting in trying to get attention. It's like she's yelling "Yoo Hoo! I'm over here!! Remember me?"

Which could be part of the reason why Kate is ignoring Milo.

Admin, I was going to say the same thing. Some people stink at math (cough*me*cough), and some people stink at language. It's funny how if someone can't balance their checkbook people tend to roll their eyes and say, "What a dizz!" But when people can't read, write, or speak well they're seen as pretty dumb or uneducated. I think our schools could do more in the language department, but many people really struggle with it no matter how good their education is. It is estimated that 80% of students in Special Education have a language delay of some sort. My husband is a good example of this. He struggled through school because his writing was terrible. He is a whiz at math and his IQ is higher than mine. He has his doctorate in education, but he never, ever sends a letter or email without having it edited and proofread first! He hates how his language delay makes him feel dumb, but he's learned to compensate for it.

I agree with that. I couldn't master chemistry. I am not a science (or math) person, no matter how hard I tried to excel in college. I couldn't balance a chemical equation. Some have it, and some don't. I'm a dummy and I admit it.

When I commented about kids not being able to write, I was referring to the basics, which includes spelling, grammar, sentence structure and the like, not creative writing. Kate not only doesn't have an artistic flair to her writing, but she lacks knowledge of the basics. The sad thing is that she believes that she is a fabulous writer. Of course, she also fancies herself to be a wonderful public speaker as well. One just has to wonder if she's ever been told that she can't write and she can't speak.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Fido I agree. It used to be you could get to your emails every day or even every couple days and that was ok. People understood you were busy and would get to it at some point. Now with texting I feel like it's rude not to respond right away. If you don't you often get another text, are you okay??? For gosh sakes yes LOL I'm trying to live my life that's all! :)

Iphone even has a feature, though I think you can shut it off, that says when it's read. So they can see you read it but didn't respond. That makes me even more anxious to respond.

And some people may never quite wrap their minds around perfect English and grammar and that's OKAY, but, don't become an English teacher or Mommy blogger--go do something better suited to your other strengths. Self awareness is a beautiful thing.

I don't believe in that cliche well just work your hardest at something never quit until you master it! No, you should find what your strengths are and exploit those and find out what is going to be a wash and stop wasting your time. I have never been that good at the math and sciences, many lawyers aren't, so as soon as I me the requirements at college I STOPPED DOING THEM. I don't regret that a second, I have no use for it so why waste time when I could be perfecting things I was good at? Why are we telling kids to work their butts off at something they may never be any good at? Sometimes, I think schools are set up all wrong. There are several private high schools now at least in LA that WILL cater to strengths. There are musics schools, science schools, liberal arts schools. I hate to say it but that makes perfect sense. I would rather see a kid really great at a few things, than really mediocre at a lot of things.

@Admin #101- I actually just did that today!! My son comes over once a week to do laundry and I always cook dinner for him when he's here. My way of making sure he gets at least one healthy meal a week :)
So last Friday he texted me to say he would be doing laundry on Tuesday, and asked if I could "recreate" Chipotle chicken burrito bowls for dinner.
Quick Google search, a trip to the store for a few items I didn't have on hand - you guessed it-fresh cilantro and a can of chili peppers in Adobo sauce, and probably half an hour cooking it after I got home from work. I made the salsa and put the chicken in a Ziploc bag to marinate last night. All I had to do today was black beans, corn, cook the rice and add lime juice and cilantro to it, and cook the chicken.
Super easy and really good, too. Like my son said, you couldn't try to pass it off as the real thing, but it was close!

I 100% agree. Of course we can always come up with new and better ways to teach kids and that's great, but not everyone will be an A student and not everyone's strength is English.

I can't remember how to do even a basic chemistry equation, and yet someone like me wouldn't probably be considered "stupid" for that. But mispronounce a word or misspell something or make a grammar mistake and it feels like people just pounce all over it and write them off as an idiot.

Now, I do think Kate is dumb as a rock. But it's not ONLY because her English skills are poor. That's just one reason. But someone who is otherwise very smart in many other ways may not be very good at English. When judging whether someone isn't very bright the whole picture needs to be looked at. That's why I always sigh when I see people apologizing for what they write here, this isn't an English class and I'm sure your strengths are elsewhere.

The biggest problem I see is as I've said, Kate doesn't know her own strengths. At least most people who aren't very good at English usually know it and often apologize for it. She seems to have no idea. And that speaks to the level of her own delusion, how she sees herself is not reality.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

And doesn't want a reward for it. He is a very colorful person for sure, but not everyone is boring. I don't understand the lack of help comment. He was the one who saved them. He could have been clearer about what was needed in the call for sure, but what I heard from that call was shock. No one of us knows how we would react if someone walked into our yard after being kidnapped for 10 years. The 9-1-1 operator wasn't exactly very good at asking the questions that needed to be asked to get the information they need. I've had to call 911 before when a relative was in diabetic shock, and the adrenalin is through the roof. It really helps to have someone on the other end guiding you to the information they need. If they don't I can see how someone can get lost.

I think the 911 operator heard "Kidnapped" and thought there was one going on at that minute, hence the request for a description of the clothes, etc.

So, can you imagine that poor operator trying to figure out why Mr. Ramsey wanted an ambulance instead of the police while there was a kidnapping going on? What did the operator think Mr. Ramsey wanted an ambulance to do, chase a getaway car?

If it wasn't a serious circumstance, it could be seen as a comedy of misunderstandings.

Mr. Ramsey is an example of what makes America great - helping your neighbor.

The Dionne quints were always portrayed in drawings as happily going about their days sewing or cooking together or the five of them going for a fun swim etc., as if they were a big ol' happy gang of girls. In later years they wrote that in actuality they were an unhappy set of exploited sisters who did none of those things together unless it was for a photo op.

This is what Kate does when she writes her imaginary tales about what a joy it is for her children to do anything with mommie dearest. She is not fooling anyone, except a few of her dense fans. I agree, the books that are yet to be written by G8 will tell an entirely different story.

Kate and the kids don't eat at Chipotle. She picks up her order to take home. That's why she slipped and called it a "store". That's how she views it. Stop in, pay for it, and leave with the order. She could never manage the eight kids by herself in a restaurant, even just a high end fast food place. She just can't even be bothered. Plus, she doesn't like to be out among the little people.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Fido yes and he wasn't the only one. I read that other neighbors had called about odd things about the house including seeing one of the girls. Nothing ever came of it. The first thing I thought was that ridiculous comment that if the kids were abused something would have been done. This is yet another example of how even when people say something, many times, nothing is done.

I've heard all kinds of ways to tell a story and he is just like many people.....details that don't seem relevant to others are to him. To him, it was important to explain how he got to where he was--he went to McDonalds, etc. That gave the story context to him. They are not doing it to be a jerk or play games, this is HOW they explain themselves. The key to dealing with this kind of storyteller is asking the right questions....and you're totally right the operator thought it was a kidnapping in progress and thus was asking all the wrong questions. It's a storytelling thing, even a cultural thing. If you never interact with his culture of storytelling, I can see how it would be shocking or mistaken as him screwing around. In many ways, Kate is this same kind of storyteller, not to insult this guy. Kate goes around and around in circles trying to get to the point and often there is no point. But to her it's all important and relevant. I dont' think she's doing it to be a pain, as annoying as it is.

The one you are referring to is the call from the girl, I haven't heard that one but read about it, and as I understand it, the 9-1-1 operator is under review. There was NOTHING funny about that one of course. I agree with you, people are outraged the 9-1-1 operator hung up on her.

That explains why I couldn't find the outrage you spoke of over the man's call. Simple misunderstanding.

Charles Ramsey is a treasure. Can you imagine, in this age of racial profiling, the courage it took for a black man to kick in the door of someone's house in plain sight? His actions could have easily been misconstrued as criminal.

The interview he gave to Anderson Cooper, while amusing, was particularly poignant. Here we had two men - one with Vanderbilt lineage, vast wealth and fame; and the other of extremely modest, even poor, means - brought together by an unspeakable crime.

Hearing Mr. Ramsey say to Anderson ("bro") that they are the same - that they both bleed and they both put on their pants the same way - was a moment of profound truth.

What a brave, brave soul.

I buy that Kate showed up because she was invited, but where are her hosts? And Amioe if you were there as your post implies, what was Steve doing? As often as she has traveled with him, you seldom here about their interactions.

Seems to me she has pretty much given up running. Since CC is not footing the bill, it's why bother to be marathon momma. I think she is more into starvation dieting. Just how many years of eating salad can a body take? Maybe that's why she's not running because of her diet and lack of carbs...no energy.

So KK was invited by wealthy horse owners??

So why did she go or take one of those gentlemen instead of Steve?

I also wondered where her benefactors were. Where are the photos of the group of them sipping mint juleps and laughing like everyone else? Not to mention, three times in a row? At what point does it become embarrassing to accept such a lavish gift? What exactly does she do for them in return? Shades of the Glassmans falling for her story and giving her lavish freebies for nothing in return.

I should say I'm not sure I completely believe that insider story, however if true, I also find it a little hard to believe that Kate Gosselin is the person they choose to bestow with a ticket three years in a row. She doesn't have horses, she never talks about horses, she doesn't know anything about racing or otherwise is interested in racing. If they are horse breeders, surely they know dozens of people who would love to go to this they could bestow with a free ticket before her. I can see one year, but three years in a row?

Charles Ramsey is a treasure. Can you imagine, in this age of racial profiling, the courage it took for a black man to kick in the door of someone's house in plain sight? His actions could have easily been misconstrued as criminal.

&&&

Oh my gosh I know. I love that he and Anderson were able to relate to each other. Heroes come in all kinds. Why, some are even comedians. :) You just never know who has that special spark of courage to act in a situation like this.

Jessica Carlson at examiner.com wrote a brief article about Kate being at the Derby and tweeting a picture of herself. Although, she mistakenly said that Kate was there last year, not 2011, she nailed it on how Kate is no longer a "star" attraction. An excerpt:

"Kate's invitation and presence this year was met with far less fanfare or criticism however, mostly because nobody knew, or possibly cared, that she was there.

In the spirit of Kate Gosselin though, in which she appears to value the manta, "never let an invitation and possible photo-op go to waste", she eagerly got into a contrived pose for the camera and settled on Twitter to drum up some attention. (See photo above)

Alas, it appears that only 29 cared enough to "favorite" the picture on Twitter, while another two actually found it newsworthy enough to retweet. (Insert sad trombone.)"

This reminds me of the unlikely heroes who saved Jaycee Duggard. Even though numerous parole agents and other officials had been to the house and even see her, it wasn't them. It was campus police officers who finally said something...not because she was screaming or crying or begging for help....because something just felt OFF to the women. I can see how other law enforcement might see the campus police as a "step down." But they were the ones who finally saw something wrong.

If you haven't read her book please do.

I so agree with this. Someone asked me the question yesterday, "What would you do if you were a black man and heard someone screaming to let them out and the door was locked?" "Would you have broken the door down not knowing the circumstances for sure? It really took a lot of (excuse me) balls, for him to do this.

Also, McDonalds should give him some free vouchers for plugging them so many times :)

He should be McDonald's spokesperson. Had a nice nourishing meal at McDonalds, came home and kicked down a door saved four kidnapping victims. Big mac attack.

It really can't be overemphasized how dangerous it is for anyone, especially an African American man, to go over to someone's house and start breaking into it.

The KY Derby invite could have been the other way around: Kate contacted the benefactor that she wanted two tickets. I can't imagine anyone giving her tickets at this point unless she asked for them. She went wanting to be seen. ITA she has no interest in horses otherwise that horse barn on her property would have horses in it! For Kate it was all about putting in an appearance like she is still a celebrity. She most likely paid air fare and hotel herself plus Steve. She figured the exposure would be worth it. It was a BUST.

librarylady said...

Lol, for some reason the derby thing makes me think of "if a tree falls in the woods and no one hears..." - "if Kate to the derby and no one cares...".

Mr. Charles Ramsey has had some additional awesome interviews with the local media here. Some of the staid and uptight news anchors don't know quite what to do with him and everyone is loving watching their discomfort with him not following fake tv protocol - he's keeping them real. :) It's been a terrible situation, but he's a bright spot within.

I'm really curious now if she TRIED to get on the red carpet and failed. Oh would I love to be a fly on that wall. I just don't buy that you're happy to go on the red carpet in 2011 but not in 2013.

Maybe if anyone has ever worked with red carpets can chime in, what I know is mainly from my Lost friend, he was just a guest star in like 4 episodes and when I met him I had no idea who he was. He said usually his publicist makes sure he gets on the red carpet list, however certain events he's not famous enough to get on the red carpet, however he has had 50-50 success with walking right up to the red carpet sign in with one of his entourage holding a sign with his name and that he's form Lost, and getting on. It depends on the event and how big it is and how willing they are to open it up to less A-lister celebs. To him though he just laughs it off, he knows exactly how famous he isn't and he's just living life.

The idea of Kate and Steve going up to the red carpet entrance and being denied is too funny for words.

He has a great personality. IMO, he could be spokesman for Mickey-D's... maybe do commercials
for them.

Everyday heroes make the world go round.

Going back to my question yesterday relating to whether or not that is her real hair or a wig. Many pointed out that it is her real hair. If that's the case, I'd invest in a good wig! And BTW Kate, you ARE NOT rockin' that middle part. Yikes!

It ties in perfectly to our discussion about English. And not looking down on others who either don't speak well, or speak differently, or explain things differently than what a teacher might consider an A plus.

You just never know when someone who doesn't speak Oxford style English might just save your life.

McDonald's did acknowledge Charles Ramsey on twitter:

For those who did not see his interview with Anderson Cooper, you can watch it here:

There is also a transcript of the 911 call that Amanda Berry made. I still cannot believe that the operator did not stay on the phone with her until the police arrived.
