The break-up doesn't surprise me at all. I had heard rumblings about it. Admin is right - it's hard to date someone with a psycho wife. Quite honestly, I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did. She's young, and the baggage that came with that relationship must have been stressful. Not that she isn't mature for her age, but I would imagine that even an older woman, perhaps one with children, would also have trouble in that relationship. Putting up with crazy sheeple and their media attacks, and an ex-wife who is nuts takes a lot out of a person.

Because Lady Gaga is in Lititz/Lancaster in another county, not in the same area where Chris hangs out. She doesn't publicize her whereabouts, is extremely low-key, and doesn't generate any publicity. If you saw her up close and personal, even face to face in a store or restaurant, you'd most likely not recognize her (unless she's in spike heels and costume)! Unlike Kate, she doesn't announce her location nor does she hang out with an entourage of reporters, bodyguards and photographers. I saw her again last week, and had someone not pointed her out to me, I never would have known who she was.
Kate thrives on publicity and paps; Lady Gaga is accepting of them but doesn't seek them out.
At least the sheeple will leave Ellen alone now...no point in bothering her now. I feel sorry for the next girl Jon goes out with. They have no mercy. Jon and Kate are fair game but to harass this poor girl was just cruel.

No hard feelings from my end. Tweets as in many things in life are often open to interpretation.
I hope nobody minds me asking, even if I feel really ridiculous asking...what exactly is a "girl crush?" is it different then having a partner who is also a woman? I find milo to be very...I can't find a stronger word than at least unstable, bizarre on that level that it goes beyond the normal aspect of being weird or heck even eccentric even.
Why does Kate not see this could potentially be dangerous? More than just a computer-to-computer exchange? People are capable of doing stupid, violent, needy things for no rhyme or reason to them. You can hire all the "bodyguards" you want but if you yourself are unaware of the world and people in general there is very little hope for you.
Jon's a private citizen now and I find the publication in a tabloid to be very, well, maybe offensive isn't the word but at least unnecessary. He isn't on TV anymore, he has only ever given one interview since that I can recall, he goes about his business. His break up should be nobody else's business by his. This having to post things on Facebook and Twitter for all to see, I view that as the problem.
Anybody remember the days when you would write a letter someone, put a stamp on it and put it in the mail box and then wait a week or so to get a letter back? I did just that this week with my grandmother. She lives in the same state and I could call her any time I wanted but exchanging a letter seems like a forgotten era. Runners World Mag has a page at the back of each issue that is a short interview with a "celebrity" runner. They do it every month. They've done musicians, tv hosts and actors/actresses. It is in NO way even close to being on the COVER of the magazine. I love this magazine and the website and would be so disappointed if they put her on the cover. In every issue I have ever gotten, there is always an inspirational person on the cover-usually a professional athlete/ olympian runner.
I am a serious runner. I think Kate is a joke and would never take advice from her on the subject, nor would I ever even consider booking a cruise so we could "train" together. That's so stupid it's funny.

Remember when Kate boo-hooed in People mag that she found the allegations of an affair with Skeeve "disgusting, vile, blah, blah, blah? We realized that not once did she ever say the allegations were untrue, nor did she call Jon a liar. She never did in any other interview, either. About a year later, I read an article about the job of a PR person and how they have to wear a million different hats. One hat is making sure their client doesn't say anything that could result in a lawsuit. Specifically mentioned was when a client is cold busted doing some kind of naughty (and the celeb is guilty as charged) the trick is to attack the allegations, not the accuser, to avoid a libel or slander suit. I don't think it was an accident Kate worded her denial the way she did.
I totally believe they are together, why it's a secret is anyone's guess. All I ever hear is rule this, rule that about what can and can't be done. But you are probably right. Her hair does look dirty and I can't imagine even running around like that all the time is manageable. It would be disgusting. Hair doesn't take long to even get "visibly" dirty. Working out, dust, debris, natural oil, fingers through your hair, chemicals you put in it. I mean really I just couldn't imagine it!
Does having continuous extensions ruin your natural hair? I've never done extensions, partly because I have long hair anyway. It always looks so painful to me.

Completely agree. Kate is gonna blow. Desperate people who want constant attention and are not getting it, start unraveling. Kate was never a pinacle of good mental health, but the longer she goes without the constant exposure she got from TLC, the more "unraveled" she seems to be becoming.
BTW- TLC may be throwing her some final bones with People magazine, but what happens when her TLC contract officially ends in February 2012? Not going to be pretty. Coupon blogger indeed. I am SO SO SO glad I am not a Gosselin child. If I had to eat that sausage bean slop she concocted, I'd starve to death! That looks so unappetizing and flat out disgusting to me!
Reminds me of when I was 11 and went to Girl Scout Camp one summer. One night, the leader in charge of cooking decided to throw together a bunch of similar leftovers ( beans, hamburger, spaghetti noodles ) from previous dinners and concocted this nasty casserole out of it, and all of the Girl Scouts were PISSED and nobody would eat it. About 10 that night, some other moms snuck off to McDonald's and brought us all back Happy Meals because we were starving.

Hmmm, in a very short time span she has added "Runs with Kate" to her cruise itinerary and now is hinting for a cover of Runner's World. She is obviously thinking that if Runner's World puts her on the cover in March, then perhaps some runners will sign up for the cruise before the May cutoff date and she'll make some money. She's thinking that if serious runners have money for trainers and for travel to run marathons, then they will have enough money for her ridiculous cruise. What serious runner is going to want to pay thousands of dollars to get on a boat in sweltering August (in hurricane season to boot) to run with Kate Gosselin?
It does tell us a few things about how things are going with that cruise. Ticket sales are dismal,and she's realizing that her Sheeple are not the kind of people who have money to spend on cruises. She's desperately looking for a new demographic to suck money from, and this is her answer. Fact is, serious runners think she's a joke and don't want to run with her (boat or not), and Runner's World will face a huge backlash from their subscribers if they insult their dedication to running by putting that sack of sh** on their cover. I think she got a little too much laughing gas at the dentist. Made her stupider than usual.
Ah-ha, she tweeted that Rod Dixon told her running marathons was $ in the bank. She didn't do it to fulfill any personal goal or to challenge herself, or (as she claims) to inspire others. She did it for money. Why am I not surprised? Actually, if she ever does anything for any other reason than to get money, I WILL be surprised.

One other thing--she drove the BBB to the dentist. She didn't know how long she'd be there. So, who was going to pick the kids up from the bus stop? And what was that someone going to drive? Perhaps Jon has them this weekend and picked them up in the old BBB. But, I thought she said she drives the Audi when it's just her to save money on gas. She had been grocery shopping, but she bragged that she can fit 2 carts of groceries in the Audi, so why take the BBB? It's a little thing, but just seems odd.
This is sort of on topic. The website, Gawker, had an article today about Google's webtracking and how they can target the ads to what you are interested in looking at. So I checked the website. They were right on with my age and gender. Then they show the categories that show your interests. I know one is directly related to Kate Gosselin. They showed me as interested in cruises! LOL I would never go on a cruise. I just happened to look at the Kate cruise to see what it's all about.

Layla, that was Tucker's question...I responded in post 18. You're absolutely right, though, no entourage, no security, no paps - because she doesn't call them! She doesn't thrive on publicity. Sometimes one or two will pop up, but not often. Kate is desperate, clinging at straws (and any paps willing to grab a shot). I'd be very, very surprised. The number of runners who would be furious (look at the RW forums) to see a non-running, nonentity like Kate on the cover would be huge. I don't see why RW would risk alienating their readership like that. It's not a tabloid, a "celebrity" sheet or a gossip mag. It's a special-interest mag published for runners.
Kate got in because they do a short spread on "sort-of" runners. She wasn't featured because she has any real commitment to the sport. She got in because her rep found her the slot. That won't work for a cover.
Let me get this straight. Knowing it was a pap who was probably going to post the video publicly, Kate couldn't take 5 seconds out of her bountiful life to say that her thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lost someone on the Italian cruise ship? Especially with her own cruise coming up?
She is despicable.
I love how she can't just be grateful for the blurb that Runner's World DID give her. Nope, she wants more. She thinks she's deserving of being on the COVER. LOL my grocery store chain just sent a coupon insert about how good fresh foods are for you. It was filled with recipes for salads with chicken or fish on top and a carved out apple with granola inside. And then it had a bunch of rare, coveted coupons for things like apples and salads.

We see her in Target. What you need in a hardware store, you can get in Target or Lowe's (less than 15 minutes away). There are very few "real" hardware stores left in the area, unfortunately. I miss the small, mom and pop good old-fashioned hardware stores! She doesn't do any home maintenance, however, so why would she need to go to Lowe's? You can buy light bulbs in a grocery store.

I find it amazing that Paula Deen, for either personal or profession reasons kept her diabetes to herself and those closest to her just that, private. And now that it's out you get all these allegations people jumping all over her about lying, avoid situation or what have you.
Then, we have Kate. This woman has lied, avoid real truth, thrown other people under the bus, manipulated others, demanded, twisted truth and you name several other things. Yet nobody really that I've seen has ever called her out on it, been upset with her or given her a whole lot of grief.
I take the example, okay so southern cooking or the way Paula Deen does it may not always be healthy, I am sure some things she cooks are, she has never denied or claimed to be anything other than southern cook, passionate about dishes and the variety that goes with that.
Kate, claims to be organic, 100% healthy, a runner, whole foods and whatever. Yet her recipes? All I've seen is starch, cheese, beans and can goods dumped into maybe organic beef.
I find it just so odd the difference between these two women. One if fun, honestly out there, where she feels comfortable sharing certain things or not, the other is always out there sharing things that are not always appropriate with no restraint.
Maybe it just bugs me to see happy, passionate people slammed and cold and distant people admired. Makes absolutely no sense.
I went to the Rose Parade last year, with Paula Deen there in the little red car waving on by, she looked like she belonged, happy to be there. I look at Kate and the only time she happy to be with people is if there is something in it for her, never the other way around. What a sad life.

Marie, we were at the same Rose parade! My seats were over by the JAG dealership in front of Ralph's on Colorado. We had a blast and thought Paula Deen was lovely. What's her face the older chick from DWTS was the grand marshal the year before and my dad and I literally ran into her at the game by total coincidence as she was being dropped off to go to the field. She had a huge smile on her face, a couple granddaughters with her, and was waving to everyone. I love seeing celebs appreciate the wonderful things given to them.
If Kate were offered grand marshal in the Rose Parade, she would demand to flip the coin at the Super Bowl too. She can't be content with ANYTHING.

Yes, I think Kate if beginning to feel more and more desperate. She is stuck in PA away from LA and "the stars" and the life she feels she is entitled to. She hasn't gotten that talk show yet. 1) Runner's World - It's possible Kate has a cover. She tends to hint sbout things when she knows they're a done deal, e. g. DWTS.
2) Jon & Ellen - Two years is a long time to date someone and to be fair, Jon brings a lot of baggage (i.e. Kate and her fans) as well as a large family. I'm sure Ellen loves the kids and I'm sure Jon will allow her to continue to see them to whatever degree she wishes. The reality, though, is that they are at two different stages. Ellen probably wants to get married and maybe have kids of her own. Speaking as someone who married a man with school age kids, it's a choice you really have to think about. Now I love my older kids and as I tell them children grow in our hearts - that's what makes us parents, and all my children are precious to me.. That being said, I also wanted to have more children with my husband and share that experience. Also, co-parenting your children with someone else has its challenges and we have a fairly good relationship with his ex. It is different then just raising just your own children and those of you on this forum who share children I'm sure can attest to that for me.
So, I give Ellen a lot of credit for knowing herself and what she wanted and not trying to make Jon or his kids "fit" that mold. And with that, I will stop speculating as to what went wrong and afford them the privacy they are due.
I'm not looking forward to Kate's snide, back handed remarks that I am sure will come, though. I imagine she's gloating right now.

I hope this is true, and if so, there is no reason Ellen can't keep seeing the kids if they are really friends. I don't see it as that sad actually as long as she still hangs out with the kids. I think Jon knows deep down a young girl like Ellen deserves someone without so much complications. She may have had unrealistic expectations at her young age that she could handle this, and as a few years went by and she got more mature, she may have decided she wants what most 25 year old girls want--a man without attachments they can build their own family with. And there's nothing wrong with wanting that at that age.
A lot of it is out of Jon's control, like a psycho ex-wife, the media he is trying so hard to stay out of, fame that he can't shed. But they are still there and he knows that. He'll find someone for sure, but it's not going to be in a 25 year old girl.

It's nice to see a real celeb who is still normal and humble. I told all of you about the guys from Green Day. Great guys. The first BIG celeb I ever met was when I was when I was a teenager. My friends and I had just been to a rehearsal for our debutante ball (ugh, don't ask). We were walking to our cars, and passed by a historic theater that was known for its architecture and the antique pipe organ inside. As we were passing, a man who was standing there looking at the building turned and asked us some questions about it--its history, when it was built, when it would be open to see the pipe organ, etc. The man was Robin Williams, but he just stood there on the sidewalk--no paps, no bodyguards, just chatting with some locals. He was in town to do a stand-up show (back when he still did standup). Very nice and friendly.
Contrast that with Kate Gosselin, who apparently can't even go to the dentist without paps showing up, and can't go to a convention without a bodyguard. Yeah, right.

I am sure that some stylist set up the entire shoot. Brand new clothing & shoes for Khate (she even tweeted that the shoes in the "article" were Brooks but she was an Asics girl - I read it in the tweets at the top of this blog probably 2 days ago). The shoes appear to be Brooks PureCadence ($120 on Brooks website). And staged food on the counter. No real family with 8 kids has that small of a jar of peanut butter! Some assistant made the sandwiches, and thought it would be cute (or Khate brought it up) to use the cookie cutters. Wasteful on a regular basis (it would be cute for a tea party!).
When I think of how 'approachable' she is I picture that line of fans in Tenn. waiting to get their couple min. each with her. She could never handle a group on the cruise all hovered around her, all trying to talk to her at one time and the really psycho ones (like Milo) talking over everyone for the most attention.
I can also see it now during those activities on the cruise. They will be allowed to walk up to her for their 2 min. but otherwise are all held back a distance away from her. Can you imagine if she got a couple hundred people to come on her cruise? If you have a nanny she can go for a run whenever she feels like it! But seriously, I hate fake photo shoots, like we're made to believe the cameras just happened to show up as Kate was making lunch. Please, they arranged all that stuff out there right down to the strategically placed bananas.
I hate set-up photo shoots like this. I've seen several "set ups" that were so fake. Kids playing ball in the part of the yard they were never allowed to play ball in because it was too close to the pool. Kids watching TV in a room there wasn't even a TV! (It was brought in). French toast making when the nanny always did that. And of course, clothes are often brought in from photoshoots so you're wearing brand new, often itchy stuff smelling like formaldehyde that you often have to return at the end of the shoot. When will magazines learn that people can see right through this? These photoshoots can be very fake.

Many do, and if Kate started serving those kids salad when they were really young, they'd probably continue to eat them. All of mine eat salads, and quite often choose salads over burgers or sandwiches in a restaurant. One of the best examples of how Kate really feels was at the Philly museum. She demanded that it be cleared out. Of course it couldn't be. A few sheeple took pictures, just a few, and she freaked out. I agree it's annoying being the center of attention at a museum, but you walk in with a camera crew and what do you expect? *I* wouldn't choose this for my family not by a long shot, but Kate can't pretend that she hates it one moment and loves it the next (when she's making bank on a cruise). As for the shapes, my youngest is six and still likes it when I do it, but you can usually get two shapes out of one sandwich if you plan it right. My daughter is on a crustless phase so the scraps are parts she really wouldn't eat anyway.

Why are salads such a big deal for your kids to eat? Maybe its a Northern California thing, but my kids eat anything. They love my salads.
I dont make them eat anything they dont like - luckily they like everything now. At an early age I made them 'try' something before telling me its gross or they dont like it. "You have to taste it to know you dont like it."

Sport, I don't know if it's a CA thing in general out here but I've noticed kids out here seem a lot more open to "weird" foods. Kids seem to love salads, sushi, soy sauce, any kind of Asian food, CA Pizza kitchen with all it's weird toppings (not just pepperoni), avocados. Back where I'm from I'm used to most kids turning their noses at anything that isn't cheese pizza, grilled cheese, or chicken fingers.
I HAVE noticed that the Gosselin kids seem pretty open to food, despite Kate's completely f-ed up food issues. Somehow they have an open mind about things. Probably Jon.
I've had a lot of extensive training in child abuse and I have to tell you, Kate has a lot of the classic signs of abuse you see in abused children who are now adults. I don't think we'll ever really know, but the signs are there.
That said, it does not excuse how she treats others.
If Milo thinks that Kate is approachable, she should come over here and meet her and THEN tweet about how approachable she is. In my opinion, she's become less approachable over the years. She wouldn't even make eye contact with Milo, that's how approachable she is.

Admin, et. al. - I have no idea if Kate was abused or not (I'm assuming you mean sexually). My impression is that Kate is very much like her father, as are a few of her sisters and her mother is very passive, in many ways like Jon. That honestly makes more sense to me than Kate having been sexually abused. I think Kate is a narcissist who is desperately insecure and seeks out people who she can "get" something from or who will shield her from the unpleasant world.
At some point, I predict Kate will fade into obscurity. Steve will leave. She will have alienated most of the people who truly love(d) her from her life and will be s very lonely, dissatisfied person who has no insight as to why.

If someone were willing to fund my trip, I'd take one for the team and go on the cruise. I've had many years in community theater and teaching drama, and I could pull off the role of a sheeple. In addition, I was a city newspaper editor, and I've been a journalist. If I could keep my camera out of Ratclaws' reach, I could get some decent photos. I could write a comprehensive account of daily activities (maybe not unbiased, though). Could I keep a straight face while doing it? Doubtful!
I wonder if she has thought about where her life would be right now if she hadn't divorced Jon. Some therapy, giving him some space and some respect--they could be there together, and the kids would have two parents who love them in the same house. Sure, she has had lots of sitters/nannies, but they don't compare to a parent. It seemed that once she tasted a little fame and money, she had nothing but contempt for him.
She has said that she refuses to take the kids out of their school or their house, but she may not have a choice. But, if Jon were working a decent job, and she were, too, they could possibly pull together and at least keep the house. Stagger their work schedules to have one of them at home with the kids, go on a budget, split housework, split yard work. Now she has to pay others to do all that for her. No way will she make enough money to pay all those expenses, and no way can she do all of it herself. She should have thought of that before she threw him away like trash.

Jon was good enough for her when she tricked him into being a sperm donor for HOMs that are unique in that they are of Asian descent but not good enough for her now. She is shocked that anyone would think she would ever consider getting back together with Jon. He was fine when he was taking care of the kids while she sat on her ass spewing drivel about throwing a few grapes, cheese and crackers on a plate on a paper plate - the crumbs - the horror. She didn't even do that until they were in a full blown low blood sugar meltdown.
I don't think Jon would take her back if she went begging to him on bended knee. She did him so dirty, and encourages her "supporters," all 35 of them to do the same. She is a vile and despicable excuse for a human being. So sad for the kids. So sad for Jon and I feel for ER as I am sure the split is painful for all concerned.
When I was doing divorce law and people would go on and on about how horribly horrible their soon to be ex is??

Oh I've seen worse. I've seen people laugh when people are a couple, "Oh, well, that's just the best they can do. Nobody else will take them so they have to settle for whomever." and then I hear, "Oh, well, he was dirt, she was just a skank." All kinds of things. People sometimes just will never be happy, never make any sense.
You can't have both sides of the quarter, pick heads or tails but don't demand you get both. It will never work.

Sorry, this is OT and a bit late, but Adim, nice that you went to Rose Parade. I had seats in the Grand Stands. I never figured out why that particular day is always going to be cold. Other than getting lost quite a bit, never been that far south of CA, I only ran into wrong-direction signs. But that's just my luck. The traffic is a nightmare! But I'm probably the only person in the world who feels out of place or at least weird staying at an Asian run hotel, feel like I was the only white person there.
LOL Marie it's okay traffic is always terrible on Rose Parade day plus there is no east west freeway because Pasadena has always stopped it. Joy. It WAS cold that year, I remember being all bundled up. Plus it's always cold in early morning in winter around here even if it gets up to 80 degrees later in the day.
The neighborhood I live in is like 99% Asian. Yeah I felt out of place at first but everyone has been so welcoming and sweet to us and I've tried more new foods in the past few years than I have in 20! This is a nice place. I wish white people could always act as welcoming.
I guess having been away from CA for 10 years now, since where I live is predominately white I surprise myself by being surprised to see larger ethnicity. I know that sounds horrible. My dad lived there after moving from Ill in the 70s, says he'll never go back to LA traffic.
But, I was so happy to see a 7/11!! I'm weird that way I guess all over the place where I live here.
Now, someone explain to me HOM is exactly? I know it's fertility but don't they test people to see if they have difficult conceiving or whatever? Aren't there test for POS? As Kate claims she has? Thing with that is I don't see any physical difficulties, the biggest one I know of is issues with your weight on some people who have this. Even if she had plastic surgery.
I think Kate rushed marriage, she rushed having kids. Now, that's also common where I live now but I'm amazed she doesn't have the slightest bit of warmth or...ah, can't find the word, maybe not love but at least human compassion other than "peace," towards the man she married and loved for a decade.
I don't come from divorced parents, nobody I know is divorced but why when people get divorced to them turn on each other and begin this hatefulness? No I'm not married so maybe it's something I just have to learn one day.

Why does she spell it georgous? I mean I am by now means a perfect speller and will never claim to be one but...does Twitter not have that little red line under the word if it's misspelled? The letter E is nowhere near the letter O on the keyboard so it can't be a typo, but I've seen this from Kate before. Really? Wow. And she's the one to go over spelling words with the kids in the car?
