Kate was born with a "wonky" eye. She could be self conscious about it and personally, I would never call someone out on that. It's a physical defect. I'm not sure if her neck is the result of too much surgery, or if it's genetic. Many times if you have a wrinkled neck, chances are your mother or grandmother did, too. If that's the case, there's not too much you can do about it.

(He killed his wife and was last seen buying 40 gallon garbage bags, lye and a shovel). It is speculated he killed her (or sold her) then killed himself when he learned the police were on to him.
God bless her and the teachers that help students like Relisha every day (homeless, neglected, and abused)

GKD, I love your post about donating. I am home after the worst 2 weeks of my life. My stepdad died and my mom's house is a hoarding paradise. I can't really clean much in the common areas until she is moved to assisted to living, but I DID clean out the room I was in, when she wasn't looking. It was piled to the ceiling. Every time she was in the shower or napping, I was like the Roadrunner (ironically that state's bird), MEEP MEEP, dashing out the door with a cloud of dust behind me, box or bag in hand, headed for the thrift shop or dumpster. I was also grabbing things from the kitchen. She is nearly blind so doesn't even know what she has, much less what is now missing. When I saw clear floor and horizontal space, I was quite excited. The thrift shop manager gave me the best hugs of the week, telling me she understands because she's been in the same situation, and also sees a lot of people doing the same thing. I was so grateful for that little place, which also supports the local day shelter. I warned her they would have a BIG haul when the time comes (after she's moved) and she said 'bless your heart' and hugged me again. It was a great relief. More than one person suggested a yard sale to which I replied, as politely as I could, "NO. Just no."

No. Anyone with 3 brain cells to connect together would have figured out by now that Kate is using them. As always, Kate's interactions with other humans is strictly limited to how she can use that human. Kate's use for them is to do her dirty work. In return, they get......... nothing.
The thing that's so sad is they are getting all worked up over some spring mix and avocados for a woman who isn't even around to notice and certainly doesn't care.
An old piece of advice I once got from my mentor which goes for anyone in a position of representing clients--is never want it more than your client does. The point they are making is that if you find yourself so worked up and immersed in your representation that you are going beyond what your client is even willing to fight for or cares about, then you are really losing sight of the situation and thus, not really representing THEM. It becomes more about winning or the fight, and less about what your clients' needs are.
Point being, they want to fight this harder than Kate does. And that is not healthy.

I get a kick out of reading the tweets of the six or so die-hard fans, and I'm not sure why. I think it's because they are so amusing and yet so clueless. There are those who just make you want to bang your head against the wall because you can't understand that THEY don't understand. Then again, as sparkle said (30) they can't figure out that they are being used, and so I guess I do feel sorry for them in that respect. The psychology of the fans is so intriguing.

Hmmmmmm.... Jon is supposed to have the right of first refusal, yet I assume it was NOT Jon who brought the kids to NYC to see Kate, so that would mean that someone other than a parent transported these kids across state lines. I know in many cases one parent can't take the kids out of the state without notifying the other parent or getting a signed letter of permission. I sincerely hope this is part of the custody agreement for the 8, but even if it was, TFW has a history of simply not informing then playing innocent.
I just can't wrap my head around the facts of these custody issues and how it SHOULD play out between the parents versus what is actually happening with these kids.

GKG, I agree with your donating locally. When my dad passed, my brother tried to donate his hospital bed, lift chart, clothes to a needy veteran that could use the items. He contacted the local veteran's office for leads. Hopefully your grandmother gets situated in her permanent home asap. The changes in living situations can really lead to a quick downfall in their dementia status, once they leave their "normal". We saw it happen quickly with my mother, they don't adapt to changes very well. Alzheimers it a bitch on the whole family. Even taking care of someone for a few weeks is exhausting and there is always quilt, no matter what you do.

Lifestyle Lift commercials that I see are only women- interesting that the West coast advertises men, too. **** LOL - that is interesting. Know thy market? The one I'm referring to shows several before/after photos, starting with 2 or 3 women. Then they show a male (and I must say, he's relatively unattractive in both before and after, but his skin is lifted and they got rid of sagging skin under his chin). Several shots later, they show a husband and wife talking about how Lifestyle Lift has benefitted them both, as they are getting ready to take a motorcycle ride.

One last platitude for the road from Gladys. And, like her idol, she's always just a bit off the mark. Hardest times...keep the faith...is TFW in combat somewhere? Fighting a life-threatening disease? Working 3 jobs to help pay for a sick child's medical care? Caring for a spouse or parent with dementia? We have free speech for everything both big and small. Just because someone chooses to use it to talk about some silly salad and you think that's dumb doesn't mean they don't have a right to say it.

He also has the right of first refusal if Kate is out of town, rather than have strangers caring for his kids, right? To me, if either of these things is not happening, he just has to pick up the phone and ask the local police or sheriff to help him carry out these court mandated orders..at least that is how it happens where I live. He doesn't need any money to do this..the court case has already been decided and paid for, and the police and sheriff don't charge a fee for helping him out. That's correct. Although once my ex refused to return my dd and I called the cops and they weren't very helpful. He was on leave from the Army for two weeks, the wife said she was brining her to the airport to see her dad and they didn't bring her back for two weeks. The cops said well, he'll be back in HI in two weeks.

Jon's not making excuses, and we don't know what he has done or hasn't done in regards to custody. He very well may have filed a contempt, and he very well may have been gathering proof and lining his ducks up in order. Just because this hasn't been made public does not, by any stretch of the imagination, mean that he's just idly sitting by and watching all of this unfold.
I thought this was all discussed before -- that sometimes these things don't happen overnight or at the snap of a finger. It's not the end of the story. There may never be an end if Kate has her way and violates custody orders.

I've been watching the ABC series, Resurrection. I've been amazed at the actors and actresses who have not had plastic surgery. It's sad to say that. They look normal. I think it was a huge red flag- these girls were unable to hold a simple conversation. I've watched too many kids interviewed on tv- morning shows, mostly- to think it's just nerves. I know we always joke about a Mommy Dearest book or three, but I think we're going to hear about much worse with these kids, who are growing up under horrid stress, unreasonable expectations and fractured parenting. All of the kids are at heightened risk of eating disorders, drugs, alcohol and promiscuity.

I just watched a 12/13 year old boy on Ellen (he was a singer that she discovered on YouTube) and the way he handled his nerves being on her show was to say that he always sees the cups on TV but no one ever drinks out of them. He kept drinking the water and Ellen joined in...very funny and a natural thing for him to do to handle his nerves. After he sang they gave him a keyboard and gift certificate to some guitar store and what did he do? Picked the cup up and drank again!
Yeah that was not stage fright. They were afraid to say the wrong thing and endure the wrath of Kate, which is why Cara did the most logical thing a 13 year old would do and say nothing at all. They kept looking at Kate, gaging her reaction and seeking validation. I have never felt so awful for the Gosselin kids than I did right then.
I think The View ladies warmed them up a bit pre taping. They felt more comfortable with them. Plus it was a big group which always seems to help ease discomfort. Kate too may have assured them afterward it's okay, they can say what they like. They were still reserved on The View but definitely more comfortable.
Even when the twins warmed up on The View, Mady was not a nice young lady. Kate even seemed proud of Mady's snarking.
Yesterday on Today, Hoda and Kathy Lee had a LOT to say about Tori Spelling's new show, highlighting her POS husband's cheating and rehab. They hit HARD on how awful it was to put cameras in the home during this time, and how bad it is for kids. For those following the Relisha Rudd situation here in DC, the body found in Kenilworth Park is that of her kidnapper. I guess that means the chances of ever finding her, alive or otherwise, are pretty slim. I drove past that park last Friday on my way to a function, and there was a lot of action there. So many people searching for one little girl who may never be found, and may not ever know that so many cared enough to search like that for her. I feel such anger toward her mother and stepfather, who handed her over to a stranger, apparently had no interest in her well-being after that, and still don't seem to be terribly anxious over what happened to her. What's up with the stepfather repeatedly referring to her in the past tense? "She wasn't a bad little girl". Nobody said she was a bad little girl, so where is that coming from? Sorry for the OT, but having something like this going on so close to home makes it so...real. When I first noticed all the activity, it took a moment to realize what it was all about. It's so different when it's right there in front of you and not just images on CNN. I'm still praying that she's somehow okay.
The more I read about McGibney and those he associates with, the more it's clear he is unethical and vindictive and one of the worst bullies around. People like McGibney cause a lot of trouble for others, but eventually they go too far and get themselves in real trouble. That's what it sounds like in this Texas lawsuit, where they now cannot simply file notice of non-suit and walk away. Sounds like McGibney and his attorney are both going to find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
I think an unsophisticated blog owner got scared and may have turned over information in a panic. If so, that was not only the wrong thing to do, but could open the owner to being liable for any damage caused by revealing that info. The blog owner did not have the right to share member info but hopefully there will be no legal action against her for doing so.

Kate was born with a "wonky" eye. She could be self conscious about it and personally, I would never call someone out on that. It's a physical defect. I'm not sure if her neck is the result of too much surgery, or if it's genetic. Many times if you have a wrinkled neck, chances are your mother or grandmother did, too. If that's the case, there's not too much you can do about it.

Relisha Rudd: her mother did her best to squeeze out a tear during an interview. It was Relisha's school that figured out she was missing and in harms way. (He killed his wife and was last seen buying 40 gallon garbage bags, lye and a shovel). It is speculated he killed her (or sold her) then killed himself when he learned the police were on to him.
God bless her and the teachers that help students like Relisha every day (homeless, neglected, and abused)

GKD, I love your post about donating. I am home after the worst 2 weeks of my life. My stepdad died and my mom's house is a hoarding paradise. I can't really clean much in the common areas until she is moved to assisted to living, but I DID clean out the room I was in, when she wasn't looking. It was piled to the ceiling. Every time she was in the shower or napping, I was like the Roadrunner (ironically that state's bird), MEEP MEEP, dashing out the door with a cloud of dust behind me, box or bag in hand, headed for the thrift shop or dumpster. I was also grabbing things from the kitchen. She is nearly blind so doesn't even know what she has, much less what is now missing. When I saw clear floor and horizontal space, I was quite excited. The thrift shop manager gave me the best hugs of the week, telling me she understands because she's been in the same situation, and also sees a lot of people doing the same thing. I was so grateful for that little place, which also supports the local day shelter. I warned her they would have a BIG haul when the time comes (after she's moved) and she said 'bless your heart' and hugged me again. It was a great relief. More than one person suggested a yard sale to which I replied, as politely as I could, "NO. Just no."

What donating everything has going for it is of course, charity, but also, removing the headaches and risk associated with people coming to your house.
I have a few large items that are definitely resellable, but I hesitate because I don't want to deal with strangers coming over.
We've got plenty of choices of charities that will come and take furniture, too.
I may net less on my tax return, but it's charity and it's a load off my mind!

No. Anyone with 3 brain cells to connect together would have figured out by now that Kate is using them. As always, Kate's interactions with other humans is strictly limited to how she can use that human. Kate's use for them is to do her dirty work. In return, they get......... nothing.
The thing that's so sad is they are getting all worked up over some spring mix and avocados for a woman who isn't even around to notice and certainly doesn't care.
An old piece of advice I once got from my mentor which goes for anyone in a position of representing clients--is never want it more than your client does. The point they are making is that if you find yourself so worked up and immersed in your representation that you are going beyond what your client is even willing to fight for or cares about, then you are really losing sight of the situation and thus, not really representing THEM. It becomes more about winning or the fight, and less about what your clients' needs are.
Point being, they want to fight this harder than Kate does. And that is not healthy.

I get a kick out of reading the tweets of the six or so die-hard fans, and I'm not sure why. I think it's because they are so amusing and yet so clueless. There are those who just make you want to bang your head against the wall because you can't understand that THEY don't understand. Then again, as sparkle said (30) they can't figure out that they are being used, and so I guess I do feel sorry for them in that respect. The psychology of the fans is so intriguing.

Jon is supposed to have the right of first refusal, yet I assume it was NOT Jon who brought the kids to NYC to see Kate, so that would mean that someone other than a parent transported these kids across state lines. I know in many cases one parent can't take the kids out of the state without notifying the other parent or getting a signed letter of permission. I sincerely hope this is part of the custody agreement for the 8, but even if it was, TFW has a history of simply not informing then playing innocent.
I just can't wrap my head around the facts of these custody issues and how it SHOULD play out between the parents versus what is actually happening with these kids.

GKG, I agree with your donating locally. When my dad passed, my brother tried to donate his hospital bed, lift chart, clothes to a needy veteran that could use the items. He contacted the local veteran's office for leads. Hopefully your grandmother gets situated in her permanent home asap. The changes in living situations can really lead to a quick downfall in their dementia status, once they leave their "normal". We saw it happen quickly with my mother, they don't adapt to changes very well. Alzheimers it a bitch on the whole family. Even taking care of someone for a few weeks is exhausting and there is always quilt, no matter what you do.

LOL - that is interesting. Know thy market? The one I'm referring to shows several before/after photos, starting with 2 or 3 women. Then they show a male (and I must say, he's relatively unattractive in both before and after, but his skin is lifted and they got rid of sagging skin under his chin). Several shots later, they show a husband and wife talking about how Lifestyle Lift has benefitted them both, as they are getting ready to take a motorcycle ride.

We have free speech for everything both big and small. Just because someone chooses to use it to talk about some silly salad and you think that's dumb doesn't mean they don't have a right to say it.

Can someone please explain to me again, just how visitation works in PA? Jon has visitation with all 8 kids every other weekend, and on Tuesdays for dinner. He also has the right of first refusal if Kate is out of town, rather than have strangers caring for his kids, right? To me, if either of these things is not happening, he just has to pick up the phone and ask the local police or sheriff to help him carry out these court mandated orders..at least that is how it happens where I live. He doesn't need any money to do this..the court case has already been decided and paid for, and the police and sheriff don't charge a fee for helping him out. To me, it's simple, if he doesn't see his children as mandated by the court, then it's purely because he chooses not to. End of story, no ecuses allowed.

That's correct. Although once my ex refused to return my dd and I called the cops and they weren't very helpful. He was on leave from the Army for two weeks, the wife said she was brining her to the airport to see her dad and they didn't bring her back for two weeks. Jon's not making excuses, and we don't know what he has done or hasn't done in regards to custody. He very well may have filed a contempt, and he very well may have been gathering proof and lining his ducks up in order. Just because this hasn't been made public does not, by any stretch of the imagination, mean that he's just idly sitting by and watching all of this unfold.
I thought this was all discussed before -- that sometimes these things don't happen overnight or at the snap of a finger. It's not the end of the story. There may never be an end if Kate has her way and violates custody orders.

Jennifer Lawrence doesn't look like a movie star to me. If I saw her on the street I wouldn't recognize her. She's natural. She's also very smart, funny and engaging which are much more attractive traits to me.
I've been watching the ABC series, Resurrection. I've been amazed at the actors and actresses who have not had plastic surgery. It's sad to say that. They look normal. Well, I have a darker theory; I think they’re emotionally repressed and void. Children, by nature, want to please those they love. Kate, true to fame whore definition, wants TV-ready kids. It is entirely likely that, after years of repression and neglect, the kids have adopted meek, compliant behavior as basic means of survival. Whether they’re aware of their behavioral shift or not, the unhealthy living environment will guarantee them years of therapy and thousands of dollars (hopefully not to drug addiction specialists, though I wouldn’t be surprised, based on the mistakes of other child stars).
I think it is disgusting that people turn to Kate and her freaky home of abuse for entertainment; why don’t we all turn off the TV and play with our kids, instead of taking joy at the expense of child slaves?

I think it was a huge red flag- these girls were unable to hold a simple conversation.
I've watched too many kids interviewed on tv- morning shows, mostly- to think it's just nerves.
Those kids are abused and it shows- probably never more than CWS and the Katie Couric interview.
I know we always joke about a Mommy Dearest book or three, but I think we're going to hear about much worse with these kids, who are growing up under horrid stress, unreasonable expectations and fractured parenting.
All of the kids are at heightened risk of eating disorders, drugs, alcohol and promiscuity.

They are 12yrs old children who were afraid and probably nervous to be put on LIVE tv answering adult questions.

Tucker's Mom - I agree that their inability to hold a simple conversation was more than stage fright. I just watched a 12/13 year old boy on Ellen (he was a singer that she discovered on YouTube) and the way he handled his nerves being on her show was to say that he always sees the cups on TV but no one ever drinks out of them. He kept drinking the water and Ellen joined in...very funny and a natural thing for him to do to handle his nerves. After he sang they gave him a keyboard and gift certificate to some guitar store and what did he do? Picked the cup up and drank again!
Yeah that was not stage fright. They were afraid to say the wrong thing and endure the wrath of Kate, which is why Cara did the most logical thing a 13 year old would do and say nothing at all. They kept looking at Kate, gaging her reaction and seeking validation. I have never felt so awful for the Gosselin kids than I did right then.
I think The View ladies warmed them up a bit pre taping. They felt more comfortable with them. Plus it was a big group which always seems to help ease discomfort. Kate too may have assured them afterward it's okay, they can say what they like. They were still reserved on The View but definitely more comfortable.
Even when the twins warmed up on The View, Mady was not a nice young lady.
Kate even seemed proud of Mady's snarking.
Yesterday on Today, Hoda and Kathy Lee had a LOT to say about Tori Spelling's new show, highlighting her POS husband's cheating and rehab.
They hit HARD on how awful it was to put cameras in the home during this time, and how bad it is for kids.

It was a pitch for a new reality show wasn't it? THAT's the performance they give? Face it sheeple, the only one who WANTS the cameras back is her at a detrimental cost to the kids. Unfortunately they're screwed with or without cameras. The private hell that goes on behind closed doors, or the pressure and intrusiveness of cameras. I know what my issues are and I didn't have a fraction of what those kids have had to deal with and will continue to deal with.
Oh, I forgot to mention, on the Today show, Kathy Lee also mentioned how it's ironic that reality stars don't live IN reality, and they talk about their lives in seasons.

Fleecing - in order to serve a valid subpoena for records on a business or other entity (in this case, the owner of a blog), a lawsuit has to be filed first. No such lawsuit ever was filed, therefore any subpoena served had to be a phony. And if an actual attorney reviewed it and said it was real, that attorney is one you don't want working for you. It is a simple matter to go to the website for the court, and do a search for the case number shown on the subpoena. If anyone did that, they would have found that no such case existed.

I think TFW is happily nestled into her hotel room with Steve. That's why there are no tweets. She's always been predictable. Theres's something I don't understand about Twitter...well, maybe more than one thing, but here's the question. I don't have Twitter, but I looked at its TOS, and it specifically states that personal info may not be posted, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and yet, he does it all the time on his Twitter. Exactly. That site folded so fast it made the head spin like Linda Blair in the Exorcist. I didn't read there on a regular basis (only when some posters from here were going there to trash this website, and then doing flip-flops and coming back here), but I realized that something stank to high heavens with the way that went down. We'll never know what went happened, but I suspected that he and his cronies had something on the owner.

For those following the Relisha Rudd situation here in DC, the body found in Kenilworth Park is that of her kidnapper. I guess that means the chances of ever finding her, alive or otherwise, are pretty slim. I drove past that park last Friday on my way to a function, and there was a lot of action there. So many people searching for one little girl who may never be found, and may not ever know that so many cared enough to search like that for her. I feel such anger toward her mother and stepfather, who handed her over to a stranger, apparently had no interest in her well-being after that, and still don't seem to be terribly anxious over what happened to her. What's up with the stepfather repeatedly referring to her in the past tense? "She wasn't a bad little girl". Nobody said she was a bad little girl, so where is that coming from?
Sorry for the OT, but having something like this going on so close to home makes it so...real. When I first noticed all the activity, it took a moment to realize what it was all about. It's so different when it's right there in front of you and not just images on CNN. I'm still praying that she's somehow okay.

The more I read about McGibney and those he associates with, the more it's clear he is unethical and vindictive and one of the worst bullies around. People like McGibney cause a lot of trouble for others, but eventually they go too far and get themselves in real trouble. That's what it sounds like in this Texas lawsuit, where they now cannot simply file notice of non-suit and walk away. Sounds like McGibney and his attorney are both going to find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
I think an unsophisticated blog owner got scared and may have turned over information in a panic. If so, that was not only the wrong thing to do, but could open the owner to being liable for any damage caused by revealing that info. The blog owner did not have the right to share member info but hopefully there will be no legal action against her for doing so.
