She's too busy taking care of her needs 1st, mani/pedicure, tanning, pretending she's sick to avoid time with the kids for spa treatments. Mommy Dearest 1st then if there's time...kids last. At least the kids were probably at school when she was at the salon.
But I wonder she blows money like nobody's business anyway, why not go ahead and have someone do her nails at the house? Then she wouldn't have to waste time going there and she could be around the kids. I worked for someone wealthy and she had her hair stylist come right to the house when she had her hair done every month or so. That way while it was setting she would come right out to the kitchen in her foils, check on the kids and their homework, see how dinner was coming. Much better than disappearing to a salon for four hours.

After stumbling through the first broadcast of "Dancing with the Stars," Kate Gosselin is one nervous mother of eight.
An ABC insider tells Fox411 that the reality TV mom is shaking in her high heels after this week's first show, in which she gave one of the program's worst performances.
"Kate is terrified that she'll be the first person voted off and she is determined not to let that happen," a network source told Fox411. "She is a lot more focused than she was leading up to the first show. Kate finally realized how hard 'DWTS' is going to be for her and she needs [her partner] Toni [Davolini]'s help."
The source said Gosselin thought she could charm he way through the contest. Not anymore. "There was a time when she cared more about her nails and tanning and continuing her regular workouts. Now, it's all about the kids first and dancing second."
Monday night's DWTS debut was almost more than Kate could bear, the source said. "Kate struggled to get through the show. She knew the producers planned for her to go towards the end of the show, but it only served to make her so much more nervous that by the time she was set to dance," said our insider. "She's trying to get her mindset prepared for next week. It is harder than she imagined."
Our insider added that rumors of on-set tensions between Gosselin and the rest of the cast - especially Shannen Doherty - are overblown.
"[Kate]'s not unfriendly. She is quiet and keeps to herself and her small team," the source explained. "Kate and Shannen have talked and there's no rift - everyone is friendly and cordial onset. The competitors are trying to remember their routines so there isn't a lot of time for socializing."
So how does Gosselin plan to turn her fortunes around on Monday? "She told [her partner] Toni she will listen to every single thing he says. She wants to stay in the competition."
And if she can't improve her performance? "She will play the mom card," said our insider. "She hopes that her great support system of moms everywhere will help vote to keep her in."

DWTS's routine is intensive & requires even the most seasoned athlete to give up just about everything to put on a half way decent performance, remember Anton Ohno? Now there are finally reports about the other dancers and their sacrifices.
Pam drops off her kids at school, practices the entire time her kids are in school then leaves practice to pick up her kids. What?! Pam should use a nanny to take care of her kids cause Super Mom Kate would. Check.
Erin's toes are bleeding from her intensive training, so much so she's given up pedicures?! NOT Kart. Her routine must not be as grueling or intense. Kart has enough help from her staff because pedicures are an integral part of her self-care and upkeep. Check!
Kart has enough energy to devote to each child's needs after school, for homework or other school extra curricular activities. OR are the nannies required to cover for Mommy Dearest because she's too busy praticing morning, noon & night. Check.

Tony's "location" is set on his twitter. It's there permanently on his page. I'm not sure why it doesn't always show but it's the same address for all his tweets that do list it.
Personally I take everything I read from the tabloids with a grain of salt, including PEOPLE magazine and their largely Pro-Kate feature stories. That being said it appears checkbook journalism is no longer the sole domain of the tabloid press as evident by the recent disclosure that ABC News paid @$200,000 in licensing fees to lawyers defending alleged child killer Casey Anthony.
I'm responding to a post a ways up, but the idea that Kate was taking comfort from the fact that the producers had planned on her being on the show for a while doesn't make sense. Isn't this show a competition, therefore the producers hire people based on the idea that they want all of them to stay to the end.
You can't tell me that Kate is such a huge celebrity that she's the only important person on this show. Most people where I live (and I'm not based in the US) would not know who she is if they fell over her!

The highlight came when the judges started critiquing Kate Gosselin. Bruno Tonioli told her it looked like her partner Tony Dovolani was "pushing a shopping cart around the floor."
If looks could kill, Kate the Grate would have three more notches on her belt. I still might be able to root for her if her makeover hadn't made her a ringer for Jane Krakowski, the one sour note in 30 Rock's beautiful, absurd symphony.
Was I imagining it, or were Gosselin and Pamela Anderson acting awfully chummy? Put those two together as roommates and you have the makings of a glorious reality show. They'd be the greatest man-eaters in captivity. Pam could lure the guys in, and Kate could drive them away
I'm pretty sure Pam was told to act chummy on camera. If she's not disgusted by Kart's "parenting", as a big proponent of animal rights, Pamela would surely be upset by the mistreatment of the dogs. I, for one, do not believe for a moment that Pam confusing Kart with octomom was a slip of the tongue, nor was the "check" at the end of her cha-cha. Go Pam!
I certainly am not fascinated by her ample cleavage. Personally I'd prefer if she didn't have them on constant display like there her favorite new toy!

I imagine we'll see a big improvement in Kate's dancing this week--not that she'll be as good as Nicole and others--but definitely better than last week. Producers know that people love a "comeback". As far as voting is concerned, she has her base of fans and people who want to see her wreck. Also, how are we to know that the judges decisions/scoring aren't influenced by the producers of the show? After all, they are paid to be there, so whoever signs the paychecks would likely have some influence, no? I mean, who checks these things--can't it easily be fixed?
BTW, it wasn't THAT warm yesterday in PA, in fact in the morning it was quite chilly-upper 30s-40s. It didn't get warmer 'til later in the afternoon, and then in the 50s. Again, her outfit is a little chilly for the weather.
Lastly, I don't know when Kate returned to PA, but is it possible that this pic was taken on another day? Commercial (nonstop) flights to LA take roughly 6 hours. The latest flights usually leave from Philly/ Newark to LAX by about 8 pm. One gains three hours going, but loses 3 hours coming back--I don't know how she can maintain this schedule and rehearse 6 hours/day.
Kate chose to show us her body and her desire to make changes to it when she had her tummy tuck. Now she has this modified body, exposes it with almost everything she wears and yet we're supposed to pretend nothing changed? Whatever, Kate. Just so you know, you're fooling no one.
ABC can't afford to have Kate busted for not going home and spending quality time with her kids while "rehearsing" in her ABC financed dance studio. So yhy are there no photos of Kate/Tony arriving/departing from LAX or Philly to confirm that Kate is, indeed, with the kids when she's supposed to be and not hiding out in her swanky hotel in Beverly Hills? If you were Kate and given the choice which would you prefer? So far I've seen no pics of Kate with the kids this past week. Just a photo of Kate walking in some parking lot eating an apple. Lauren, thanks for the link. There is something quite absurd about this no talent broad having an entourage like she has. Saw a picture of Crown Princess Victoria (Sweden) shopping in Paris. The picture was taken from across the street. If she had a detective, he was so unobstrusive you'd never know he was there. BTW she carried her own packages.
Sending Gina in there is such a calculated damage control move. She hasn't been seen since Thanksgiving, all of a sudden she swoops in when rumors of the affair are heating up to prove Steve is still happily married and she supports his job working for/banging Kate.

I'm responding to a post a ways up, but the idea that Kate was taking comfort from the fact that the producers had planned on her being on the show for a while doesn't make sense.
Isn't this show a competition, therefore the producers hire people based on the idea that they want all of them to stay to the end.
You can't tell me that Kate is such a huge celebrity that she's the only important person on this show. Most people where I live (and I'm not based in the US) would not know who she is if they fell over her!

Was I imagining it, or were Gosselin and Pamela Anderson acting awfully chummy? Put those two together as roommates and you have the makings of a glorious reality show. They'd be the greatest man-eaters in captivity. Pam could lure the guys in, and Kate could drive them away

I'm pretty sure Pam was told to act chummy on camera. If she's not disgusted by Kart's "parenting", as a big proponent of animal rights, Pamela would surely be upset by the mistreatment of the dogs. I, for one, do not believe for a moment that Pam confusing Kart with octomom was a slip of the tongue, nor was the "check" at the end of her cha-cha. Go Pam!

I imagine we'll see a big improvement in Kate's dancing this week--not that she'll be as good as Nicole and others--but definitely better than last week. Producers know that people love a "comeback". As far as voting is concerned, she has her base of fans and people who want to see her wreck. Also, how are we to know that the judges decisions/scoring aren't influenced by the producers of the show? After all, they are paid to be there, so whoever signs the paychecks would likely have some influence, no? I mean, who checks these things--can't it easily be fixed?
BTW, it wasn't THAT warm yesterday in PA, in fact in the morning it was quite chilly-upper 30s-40s. It didn't get warmer 'til later in the afternoon, and then in the 50s. Again, her outfit is a little chilly for the weather.
Lastly, I don't know when Kate returned to PA, but is it possible that this pic was taken on another day? Commercial (nonstop) flights to LA take roughly 6 hours. The latest flights usually leave from Philly/ Newark to LAX by about 8 pm. One gains three hours going, but loses 3 hours coming back--I don't know how she can maintain this schedule and rehearse 6 hours/day.
Kate chose to show us her body and her desire to make changes to it when she had her tummy tuck. Now she has this modified body, exposes it with almost everything she wears and yet we're supposed to pretend nothing changed? Whatever, Kate. Just so you know, you're fooling no one.
ABC can't afford to have Kate busted for not going home and spending quality time with her kids while "rehearsing" in her ABC financed dance studio. So yhy are there no photos of Kate/Tony arriving/departing from LAX or Philly to confirm that Kate is, indeed, with the kids when she's supposed to be and not hiding out in her swanky hotel in Beverly Hills? If you were Kate and given the choice which would you prefer? So far I've seen no pics of Kate with the kids this past week. Just a photo of Kate walking in some parking lot eating an apple. Are there any pics of Kate with her kids this past week? If so, please post a link.
I will watch and vote for Kate just because you are all against her. Go Kate!

Lauren, thanks for the link. There is something quite absurd about this no talent broad having an entourage like she has. With a chauffeur, nannies, bodyguard and all you'd think she was the first lady. No one can tell me Kate needs Steve around THAT much either. Why don't they just come out and admit their relationship.

Saw a picture of Crown Princess Victoria (Sweden) shopping in Paris. The picture was taken from across the street. If she had a detective, he was so unobstrusive you'd never know he was there. BTW she carried her own packages.

Sending Gina in there is such a calculated damage control move. She hasn't been seen since Thanksgiving, all of a sudden she swoops in when rumors of the affair are heating up to prove Steve is still happily married and she supports his job working for/banging Kate.

If Kate just got back to PA on Friday and is flying back to LA today (Saturday) she probably has a serious case of jet lag on top of a potential hangover. Steve Neild looks like crap too.
I heard Kate was advertising on a local radio station for a new full time nanny. Maybe she's having trouble keeping hired help. Don't Steve and Gina have children, or at least a son of their own? Quite an interesting turn of events. What happened to the sister? The kids probably wonder who in the world they're going to wake up to every morning.
I've been trying all week to try to verify this advertising for a nanny on the radio story since I first read it. It sounded awfully fishy to me so I've refrained from posting it.
Is anyone in PA and did anyone hear this on the radio?

OOps, sorry admin. I did just inquire from a local and will let you know if she has any information or heard the radio broadcast. I was trying to remember where I heard it originally.
I read it in a tabloid. Other forums are a-buzz with this information, but I have yet to hear someone from PA come out and say they heard the ad and what it said.
